Very rarely do we eat fast food, it's just not something us foodies do. However, when I want some good fast food chicken, this is the place I go. I don't like the flavor of the spicy, I don't mind the heat at all just not the flavor. But the regular chicken is delicious and I am a huge fan of the red beans and rice. I do not come to Popeye's without getting the red beans and rice. If you want it even better, tear up a little bit of your chicken and put small pieces of your biscuit in with the red beans and rice, stir and enjoy. Well, that's just the way this one man will do it. Besides the food, it seems like the employees here are always in a good mood, or maybe it's just me being the crazy one that I am when ordering at a drive through. Either way, they receive me well and always get my order right.

First off how do you run out of Cole slaw?? That's like McDonald's running out of fries!!! I went on a Sunday at 12:30, it was busy and they were totally completely utterly unprepared. To say it was a cluster would be an understatement, at least there was the constant yelling/barking of orders to the staff from the manager while I waited for the food. As far as the food goes it was average at best with the tenders being overlooked and dry.

If your feeding a large group, like say 100, and it needs to be around $5 per person, your in good hands when ordering from the Germantown Popeyes. Just ask for Mrs Elsereaie. Bulk orders are put in large aluminum pans and all the fixings too.

The first few weeks after opening were great. All the mgrs left and now it's just another fried chicken joint.

This Popeyes location is good, especially compared to the KFC right across the street. The food is always fresh and the employees are nice. And I swear, I never get the amount of food I ordered when I get home. But it's a good thing! I'll order three tenders and get four, stuff like that. Their biscuits are so good too, way better than KFC's or Chick-fil-A's. The only downside? I wish they had their waffle tenders year-round. I don't know what on earth they put in those things, but they are so freaking addictive. Not to mention the dipping sauce is amazing. So if they're serving them (Popeyes is always advertising so you'll know what the special of the month is), you should at least definitely go then and try them out. I've tried both their mild and spicy chicken, and they're both good. I prefer their spicy chicken, but the mild is good too. It's all a matter of opinion. If you don't like your food spicy, the mild will be just fine for you. The mild isn't so mild that it tastes like nothing, but the spicy isn't like holy crap I need five gallons of tea spicy - but it also isn't the kind of spicy chicken that has you thinking, "this is spicy?" They're both flavoured well. When it comes to getting chicken, I can't help it, I always default to potatoes, so I've only ever tried their fries and mashed potatoes. The fries are your standard seasoned fries, so there's not much to report on for that. Have you been to Back Yard Burgers? Then you've had these fries. The mashed potatoes are pretty good, they're creamy and actually taste like something. I'm not a fan of their gravy, but I just ask for no gravy and it's fine. As for dessert, you have to try to make room for one of their apple pies. They're deep fried (no surprise) but they're coated with cinnamon sugar. Ugh. They're so good.

I tried the new Chicken tenders, dissatisfied with the quantity and size. Very small portion, and nog good at all. I will stick to the original 8 piece chicken next time.

Spicy chicken, hot sauce, and sweet tea. To me for good chicken fast Popeye 's is second to only one. I really like there seasonal specials. Cant wait for crawfish and waffle tenders again next year. As of this location it is one of the best one's that I visit.

Okay don't laugh at me for reviewing Popeyes. I simply can't help but yelp a little about it because it's been one of my favorite chicken places for a long time. Even if it is fast food. It's good fast food. The chicken is delightfully spicy and hot, just as you'd expect since the emphasis is on New Orleans flavor. But that is exactly what I love about it - the spiciness. I also love the Cajun dirty rice here - also spicy, and their red beans and rice. Oh - and the biscuits - they are soooooo awesome. Definitely an artery clogging meal if there ever was one, but worth it now and then when you feel like being bad. :)

I wanted to like it -- I really did. Instead it was reminiscent of KFC, and I dislike KFC with a passion. My chicken was 'eh' and the sides were bland. I'd rather go to Wendy's.

Louisiana Style Popeyes, huh? (How come this isn't available in Chicago.. yet) How wonderful and clean this establishment is, its bright colors and updated decor make me wonder if I've walked into a TGIF restaurant instead. Smells like chicken, however there are definitely upgrades and improvements here. Artistic stylish hanging panes of glass in the dining area, jazz themed interior and sconce lighting! More offerings of spice on Popeyes typical menu, i.e New Orleans / Bayou style BBQ ribs and shrimp, blackened catfish and big easy shrimp skewers, a wonderful addition is the desserts menu including: beignets (a French style donut) and N'awlins bread pudding. There are slight taste differences with the mash potatoes and slaw, still everything was looking and tasting good. I applaud this new spin on Popeye's chicken and the establishment. However, this day I was here, we ordered a family meal with 12-16 pieces of chicken which tasted day old. Which is an occurrence I've never experienced at Popeye's back home. (In the future, I would ask for freshly made spicy chicken)
