I came here with my husband who bought and groupon and wanted to try this place out. I was super impressed at the transformation that had occurred to the former Golden Coast restaurant. It was beautiful and very modern. I was no longer impressed though after I tried their food. I tried a little bit of a lot of things (maybe a little less than half of their selection) because they have so many options. The teriyaki steak had a good flavor but was too chewy, sweet and sour chicken was dry and didn't have good flavor, marshmallows for chocolate fountain tasted stale. I was continually disappointed with each new thing I tried. I did like the red bean sesame balls, the chocolate ice cream, and pineapple. The people who work there were attentive and quickly cleared your plate when you are done. I would however give the decor and service four stars.

I,m giving this place 4 stars based on expectations of a buffet. I love how people give 1-2 stars i guess expecting P.F Changs or Bhan Thai quality?? Its a buffet, you come here because of the variety and you get to stuff your face. For the 8-9 dollars the buffet cost its well worth the price. It has an awesome Mongolian stir fry section that is very similar to Ghengis Grill and basically for the price you get a bowl in Ghengis grill, here you get the stir fry plus the whole buffet. The hot items on the buffet line are basically what you would expect from a buffet but i would actually say a little better quality. Over all for a buffet its great and im a fan. If you want the best quality and fresh food go to a restaurant that specializes in those dishes. If you want tasty variety and to stuff your face come here.

Really clean and very nicely decorated buffet! They have awesome Thai food and sushi. Will definitely be back!

I am glad I decided to come here to try this place on my own after reading some dismal reviews on urbanspoon. My conclusion is that the reviewers on urbanspoon are morons... this place is GREAT! The food is excellent, the sushi is better than standard buffet sushi, and their mongolian grill is more like Ghengis Grill selection wise. I highly recommend this place and will be back many more times!

Very nice variety of choices from Asian dishes to American. I waited until my second time going here to write about it because my first experience wasn't the best. They were still new and working out the kinks, I think. This time the food was consistent and typical of a buffet, if that is your kind of thing. (Which honestly isn't my cup of tea... but the husband was hungry and I am a supportive wife.) It isn't haute-cuisine, but it isn't awful. There is a ton of seafood available and I really recommend going when it is busy so you get the freshest food. Lunch time being optimal, as dinner is quite expensive. I do not recommend the grill options, as when I tried it, the meat was very chewy and tasted off. On this visit, the ice cream machines were not working properly, so that was a bummer. The desserts are certainly out of a box and I saw many of them left behind on tables with only a bite out of them. I really enjoyed the "typical" Chinese fast food options like crab rangoon and potstickers. However, the chicken dishes (sesame chicken in particular) was very chewy and didn't seem to have much meat in them.

Bring stretchy pants and come on dinner time for awesome soft shell blue crab. That stuff is so good. I think they lace it with cocaine or something cause I got three full plate of it. Sorry to guy the behind me when I emptied the plate. No, not really. Lots of fairly decent other seafood. Sushi is pretty good, but nothing spectacular. I only ate mostly the blue crab.

Great place to eat about four or five ethnic Asian foods. Food was fresh and tasty. Service was exceptional. Seating was comfortable. Overall, an excellent dining experience. I'd go back again, for sure.

Better than other Asian buffets maybe, but by fractions. The good: It's clean, and service was as good as service in a place like this can be. There were several shellfish dishes which were quite nice. It is very easy to mess up mussels and clams, especially in a buffet environment, but these were good. I did try a chicken dish which had been cooked over at the grill and it was excellent. It was nothing like the stuff on the buffet, which mostly tasted like it had been made at a factory and re-heated on-site. Dishes which actually contained fresh ingredients and were obviously prepared on-site were very good, for instance there was a marinated salad of tomato, cucumber and onion which was excellent. The bad: Well I'll just hit a few points here. Sushi mediocre. Don't make deep-fried sushi rolls and then put them out on a refrigerated table, that's just dumb. Pan after pan of Asian buffet stuff that tasted factory-made and reheated or deep-fried. There is a dish called "Buffalo chicken wings" which was bathed in a sauce that tastes exactly like Red Man chewing tobacco. I used to do it when I was younger. So if you have ever wondered what tobacco juice chicken tastes like, this is the place for you. [Spoiler: it is gross.] There is a grill too which I should have tried instead of the buffet. Maybe it's better. You see a buffet like that and you think, there must be a few things here that are really good! I need to sort through here and find the pot of gold. It's probably human nature. There's no pot of gold though.

The food is great, but do not want to.go.after a few times. Just wish they could offer crab legs , some spicy food and some kinds of dessert like cheesecake, brownie.Anyway, enjoy dinning in everytime I went there.

Went here for dinner. Food was just average, usual, Chinese bluffet grade. Sushi do not taste fresh. There was one dish that was unlabeled that was really good, but barely warm. It was a beef dish cut into bite-sized chunks. Would be great if hot. I tried about a dozen different items from the bluffets. None were hot and at what had to be dangerous, bacteria-producing temperatures. When I brought this to the attention of the wait staff, the manager came out and was quite defensive and argumentative. When I told him he should spend that energy trying to fix the cold food problem, he said he wasn't arguing. Customer Retention - you're doing it wrong. In short, it's just another average Chinese bluffet. Move along. Nothing to see here.

Disclaimer: I don't eat fish or seafood therefore I cannot comment on the sushi or about 1/2 of the stuff on the buffet. As far as everything else goes,... went around 6:00 on a Friday and it was pretty busy. The food was better than the usual buffet fair you typically find around here. The biggest disappointment was they seemed to be unable to keep the buffet stocked. There were items that were out when we got there and we're still out when we left. Would I go back yes.

I saw a commercial tonight on TV for this place and decided to take my family here for dinner. I really like the decor, it is contemporary and clean. The staff was attentive but not overly friendly. There were TONS of items on the buffet, good selections and good quality. The sushi was not the best I had, but definitely better than the average buffet. The dessert selections definitely could use improvement. And for the non-asian food lovers who get dragged along with their parents, there are things for them to eat too - mac and cheese, soul food, pizza, fried fish, salads, and several other items. For the 3 of us, the price ended up coming out to about $48 with tip for 2 drinks and 3 adult buffet. Not bad. I hear the lunch price is cheaper. Definitely a good price for the quality and all the different options. Although this is not my top pick of Asian buffets, it's probably 2nd or 3rd on the list. I would definitely go again.

Yikes! I came here last week with a Groupon and high hopes after seeing the good reviews and pictures online. The restaurant was beautiful! There was tons of seafood, fresh sushi, and even a chocolate fountain. There was plenty of seating and we got a table right away. I eagerly heaped my plate with a little bit of everything--sushi, salmon, stir fries, etc. I was extremely disappointed when I tried them, however. Not a single thing tasted good! I would have been happy even if the food was generic, but it truly tasted BAD. The seafood and sushi were probably the worst, but the stir fries took a close second. The only thing they had to dip in the chocolate fountain was marshmallows, so it was hardly worth having in the first place. Unfortunately, I was really let down after seeing all the great reviews on here. I suppose I'll have to continue my search for good Asian food in Memphis.

This is a good three star place. Could possibly go higher for a buffet but it is huge and there wasn't enough people there to keep everything fresh and turning over. The sushi I had was much better than the average buffet. Some of it was really good actually. The egg drop soup was not. There are so many items you are probably sure to find something you will like. The place has been nicely done on the inside, the bathrooms were clean and neat and the staff was good. Not a destination but if in the area and don't have time for a long lunch it's fine. $9.60 with water and tax. A very fair price for the quality in my opinion.

We haven't been here since its recent incarnation from Golden Coast. I heard the dim sum chef returned. While the restaurant is visually quite an improvement from its predecessor we would usually give it a pass unless the urge for Chinese hits again.

Place was clean and very pretty inside. Looked more like a club than a chinese buffet. Servers were nice as well. The food was pretty standard quality for buffets, but they did have a much larger selection than what I usually see. I really enjoyed the green tea flavored soft serve! Also the chocolate fountain was a win.

Best chinese buffet in memphis!! :). Great food; great atmosphere. When you walk in, it's as if Eat Well sushi became a Chinese buffet. The ambiance is second to none. The waiters were very nice and filled my water when it was halfway empty. Can't give this place enough compliments.

The service is great. They are Johnny-on-the-spot when it comes to taking away used plates from the buffet. The area is divided into a cook to order Mongolian grill, sushi, standard buffet and some "American" food. Nothing outstanding but it will definitely get the job done for $10 at lunch. If I'm in the area and absolutely starving I'd stop by again.

This was our third visit to Pacific Fusion and it has been consistently good. The Mongolian grill is my favorite but I also can't leave without eating their sushi--Which is always fresh and delicious. I ate off of the salad bar this time and was pleased with the freshness of the vegetables there, too. There were some flies in the dining area that were a little bothersome but the service is always attentive and she even moved us to a new table when she realized it was hot in front of the window. This is by far my favorite Asian food in Memphis.

Love this place! Huge assortment of food with an interesting variety from Chinese, American, Thai, sushi and salad! Loved my sushi variety the best! Neat environment and really chill. Definitely coming back !!

This is a nice twist on your typical Chinese/Asian buffet. Upscale vibe and menu. Menu ranges from Southern, Thai, Japanese, Chinese and American cuisine. I was pleased with everything I sampled but the garlic green beans were my favorite.....I love them, and I'd pay just for the unlimited green beans. They also have a chocolate fountain. A little girl had some chocolate covered cantaloupe that wasn't half bad. I will definitely don't here again, which says a lot because I'm not a fan of buffets. I really liked the fact I posted the sever at the table versus a check out line. To me it gives you a more personal dining experience.

I think this place is average, the design and atmosphere was better than expected. For the price of a buffet you can definitely get full of food. like i said the taste is average.

When I read one of the reviews and it compared Pacific Fusion to Eat Well I have to admit I was a little excited. Upon entering, everything appeared to be falling into place for this to be true. We were happily greeted and promptly seated and then off to the buffet we went. I chose small portions of several items that I normally enjoy at other Chinese and Asian restaurant's. After making my trip around several of the buffet stations I headed back to my seat to sample everything and find the one or two things I enjoyed so I could go back and get a bigger serving of those dishes. Disappointment is the only description for this place I can think of. I admit I went in a little hyped, however there were four of us and we all had the same reaction. Everything was just O.K., nothing just really blew us away. I sampled nothing that was above two or three stars and sad to say several choices were one star at best. The Sesame Chicken was so tough and dry I described it to my friends that this must be like eating the turkey they served on Christmas Vacation! The sushi was below standard and bland. The only thing I really enjoyed was the Jalapeño Chicken and it was only worthy of three stars at best. Give this place a try, maybe we just found them on an off day. I'll check their reviews from time to time to see if this is the case and if so I'll give them another try but until then I'll stick with Eat Well.

As far as Asian buffets, this is as good as it gets in the Memphis area. This place is very clean and neat and cool looking inside. It consistently has customers at all hours of the day so the food stays pretty fresh. I love all of the Thai dishes they serve. Also, for around 10 dollars for lunch, they have a mongolian bar that rivals Ghenghis grill and you know they cost more than that for one bowl. They also have miso soup also, not just the usual egg drop and sweet and sour. The sushi looks awesome and is not bad at all for a asian buffet. You cannot go in and expect Osaka quality, its just not realistic. They also have plenty of seafood dishes, even at lunch. The american food actually tastes pretty good too as it usually doesn't at most chinese buffets. Some have complained about service but I have never had a problem getting refills and I have been there tons of times, even when they are really busy. It is all about expectations. Its a buffet and well above average FOR A BUFFET. Do not go in expecting PF Changs and Osaka and you will be pleasantly surprised and pleased.

Place has good food, but awful management. Unable to use credit card machine and unable to produce receipts of refunds. If you come here DO NOT use ur credit card. The "manager" in charge looks like is still in 8th grade. Does NOT inspire Confidence at all

Food is ok, not bad. However, service is a bit lacking. Our waitress didn't not bother to refill waters and take away used plates. We had to ask another waitress to take away the dirty plates. We made some requests. She gave us attitude by saying they r very busy. Horrible waitress = A-Shou. Maybe she should find another job, if customer service is not one of her forte. No tip for her and I m not sorry about it.

The food here was pretty good. I enjoyed the noodles, chicken, and seafood. The soul food was okay. The desserts are not ones that I am familiar with but I tried them nevertheless. The waiter was awesome. I give their service and food an "A".

Very pretty business! Walking inside is quite transformative and unexpected. Especially after being next door getting your taxes done. The hostess was pleasant and greeted us right away. The buffet was very clean and I observed the staff regularly cleaning up, which is comforting. The sushi was fresh and ranged from sashimi to fried varieties. I suppose the fusion in the business name relates to the standard fare odd Asian buffet items like fries and other fried Western cuisine. I was disappointed that there was not any birthday cake cie cream, as advertised, but there were plenty of other choices. Worth checking out again!

This place has ALOT of variety compared to your average Asian buffet. They don't just have quantity, they have quality. They even have Thai dishes to chose from, and of course american cuisine for those picker eaters. Everything I had was absolutely fantastic! The customer service was great. Even the chefs behind the buffet were friendly. They kept everything stocked and fresh. This is our only go to Asian buffet from now on. Will highly recommend to anyone looking for an Asian buffet in Memphis.

We went last night & it was great! lots of fresh sushi and other selections. They have some Thai dishes as well that I loved. All of the sushi we tried was excellent. They also have a grilled shrimp dish that was excellent. The chocolate fountain was a big hit! you can dip any desserts or fruit from the buffet in addition to the marshmallows. It was really busy for a Monday night but not too crowded. The decor is really nice especially the aquariums.

I normally don't write negative reviews but this time, I feel like it's my duty to share this. The interior is cool, the prices are good for the type of food you get (sushi is decent, some things are better and some things are bland, but you get what you pay for). When I was finishing up the meal, I got some fruit. I bit into a honeydew melon slice and it was SOUR. So old and spoiled that it had turned SOUR. I let me friend bite into it to make sure that I wasn't going crazy, and she almost threw up--it was like they soaked it in vinegar. When I asked the owner why it tasted like this and how they could let something this old be served, she said: "Well, this is old from last night and we just refrigerated it. Usually there's no problem with old stuff like this, sorry, it doesn't usually taste that bad. I'll cut some new ones." Excuse me?! This is a health hazard and saving a few dollars' worth of melon isn't worth the potential health hazard inflicted upon customers. I refrigerate fruit too and know what semi-fresh melon tastes like. THIS is DEFINITELY not from last night. I really thought the restaurant experience was going well until this happened. Eat at your own risk.
