Stopped here late at night to get some takeout. This has to be the worst food I've had anywhere. Even late at night and desperate for food, I could not manage to eat any of the food we ordered. The burger was terrible. The bun was soaking wet with grease or water, maybe both. The Quesadillas were fried in butter and completely inedible. The enchiladas were deep fried. Who deep fries enchiladas? They have to be the worst enchiladas on the planet. I'm no longer hungry, not because I have eaten a meal, but because I have sampled the food at The Fox and Hound.

Went last night for St. Patricks Day. I was very pleased with everything. Sometimes when you go to a place like this the employees can be a bit snootie if you don't appear to be a prep (preppy). However last night was fun and good. It was packed, majorly! There was hardly any room to sit but we found an island in the main dining area off to the side. My wife ordered a burger and fries and I ordered the quesadillas. Both were very good. Our waitress was nice and more than helpful with anything we needed. This place seemed to be doing really well since it reopened. It was shut down a while back due to some drug trafficking and some sting operations. It really was a good time. The tab sure will add up quick with all the drinks. After dinner we planned to throw a game of darts. I asked the waitress for some quarters and was told I had to go to the bar. This is where the problem arose. They could not give me quarters at the bar because I had no cash. I asked the waitress for some quarters and told her I did not have any cash and to just give me the quarters and tack it on to the bill for what she gave me. She couldn't do this. So I had to use the ATM to get some cash out to get some change. The ATM would not read my card. In the end the waitress was able to help us out and get the quarters for us. She really went out of her way to help. Also the manager came and greeted us and asked how he could help. And between the two, another waitress came and tried to assist. I will definately be going back here. It was a nice place and the food was good. Plenty of pool tables, electronic dart board, packman/galaga machine. shuffle board table, nice place with 3 different rooms and plenty of seats, lots of t.v.'s, full bar, good food. Thats why I don't understand the other review about bad food. Maybe that guy went so late at night they had to throw it together real quick before they close who know. Actually, people go here FOR the food (and drinks of course).

Great variety of beers, good for a quick drink during the week or part of a sat night pub crawl.

Good wings and great service. Great get togethers for big games and just to chill out. Sometimes they have promotions for a big group where food and pool is included for free. COntact the local Promotions personal for more detail. Go Tigers!

Went here for lunch to try a new place. Ordered the beer battered fish and chips. when we got our food it was nice and brown on the outside but raw on the inside. I think the cook had his oil too hot. I sent it back and the manager comp'd the whole check for my friend and myself. Because of this, I am going to give them another try. Everyone has a bad day.

Kind of expensive, kind of dark, smoke filled, long menu but nothing is better than average. On the plus side tons of TV's, nice pool tables and other games. Good beer selection(they had a big problem with warm beer but the last coupe of times I have been there it was much improved) When there is nothing sports wise on they play good music with videos. This is a big place so often there are parties going on. Not the cleanest or best maintained place in the world either.

The food is actively bad. Like on a good day, non-exciting, on a bad day, could make you sick. We've gotten chips with queso where the chips were so stale they were bitter and inedible. The last time I went, I got a salad that had lettuce so old that it was sour. How does lettuce become sour?? Did it pickle sitting at the bottom of the salad bag so long? I tried to pick out the pink and brown/yellow bits but eventually gave up. The atmosphere is ok. The menus are sticky and gross. The only reason to come is if you don't have cable and there's a game on you have to see, and every other sports bar in town has burned to the ground. The one good thing is that they play the sound w/ the big screen in the big room though, so at least if there's a big game on, you can hear it.

Okay this is a chain, but I'm going to write about it because it really is one of the best sports bars in town. It's always a happening place on the weekend, with or without a big game on. The place is really spacious, with all the fun stuff you could want in a pub. They have several pool tables, shuffleboard, darts and lots and lots of cold beer on tap. The crowd is typically 20 and 30 somethings, but can skew older, depending on the night and what's going on. I like going with a bunch of people and watching a game, enjoying some good ole bar grub and yeah, having a couple of those cold beers.

The fox n hound is a great hang out spot for groups and couples the drinks are divine and the food is good. Everyone is engage the atmosphere is lively I love it really enjoying myself.

I've been coming here for many years. Depending on how busy they are, service might be slower than usual, but there are things to keep you entertained while you wait. Depending on what night and location you go to, there are several channels on to watch, music, pool, darts, karaoke, trivia games.... Must be 21 or older to enter. Smoking allowed.

This is a chain, but you get a good feeling like a real sports bar which is sorely lacking in the Memphis metro area. I like fish and chips, and while they may not be New England's best they are about the best you can get around here, period. Prices, selection and sports are all very good. Service is above average and it is a good place to hang out. No complaints.

Great food selections.. I shared the "24 wings" (bone in) dish with that and Caribbean Jerk sauce and blue cheese.. Good stuff!! Nearly 50 beers on tap with specials running every day... The only down side is the smokey atmosphere!!! I'm a non-smoker, and it the cigarette smoke hits you at the front door! 5 stars without the smoke!!

I went here on one of my first weekends staying in Memphis. I got to meet my roommate's gf this visit, and I was looking forward to it. Besides Beale St, I hadn't really been anywhere in town except to the Buffalo Wild Wings next to the house. So this was a Sunday night treat for me. I had no idea what the hell Cordova was, except it was north of were we lived. So he said let's go check this place out. They had beer, and food, and tvs. What else could I ask for? When we got there, we all got carded, then they were trying to talk about cover. Hell nah, its a Sunday night with absolutely nothing going on. So thankfully with minimal hustle, we proceeded without paying cover. This location is about the same setup as the one on Sanderlin- eatery in the middle, pool tables on the left, and who knows on the right. We sat at the pool table side, and watched sports. The server came up pretty quickly but I had a tough time seeing what to get to drink, as all of the damn menus were so sticky I couldn't even open them up. That was cute. I kept telling myself someone brought a bottle of syrup in and poured it on everything, as the thought of it being something else would get me sick. So I finally found a menu I could open and got some local brew. For food, they had plenty to choose from, I started off with an app platter- that had tenders, pretzels, skins, and I think something else. I also got a flatbread that night. What? I was hungry. The pretzels came out and I tell you what- the ACTUAL pretzels were amazing. However, the stuff they put on it they called "salt" was damn near radioactive. Even after scraping off the "salt", it was overbearing. And salt usually does not bother me. I had blisters in my mouth after the 3 one. What a shame. By the time my flatbread came, I almost didn't want to eat it, but I was too hungry. The flatbread wasn't too bad- I am sure though the extra sodium did not help my mouth. All in all, the good and the bad canceled eachother out, leaving this place at a 2.5 stars. However, one of my employees told me that on certain Saturdays, they have wet t-shirt contests in the parking lot. Wonder if that makes it worth going back to?!?

Such an incredibly overrated Memphis staple. There are two locations in Memphis, and while I don't like either one, this location is definitely the worse of the two. Good: there is a lot of space here. Two sides with pool tables, a couple of areas with big screen televisions for games. Most of the staff are friendly and upbeat, which saves this place from being an utter drag. Bad: the placement of the televisions isn't conducive for big game watchers. Unless you plan on sitting alone or in someone's lap, the chances of a truly fun game experience are slim. The prices are ridiculous. For the price of one drink here, I could knock back at least 2.5 at a better bar elsewhere. Portions of food are laughable and again, ridiculously priced. Also, not a fan of places that allow smoking indoors, but can generally deal with it. This F&H makes me feel as if I'm eating cigarettes. Just disgusting. While the concept is awesome with beer, pool, and tv's, I can't see myself ever making the drive out there again for such a less than awesome experience.

Love this spot in Memphis! Great food and vibe. First time was an incredible hostess!!!

Ok so I don't know why there are so many complaints about the food. I've heard it all from my friends too. I ordered the burger with an egg on it and it was really good. I really liked it. Oh and one time I went with a friend and we kept to ourselves by the pool table and enjoyed a few beers. We had fun by ourselves over there. Ambiance is as bad as it gets. Those two stars are for that burger. Desperate nobody's clutter the space and just love to STARE at any girl that walks in. It was really uncomfortable for me and I'd never go alone here. Music is that clubby crap on the weekends like aren't we in a bar? Why are you playing club music? And the crowd is a mix of desperate, lonely, and trying to hard. Maybe it will work out better for you.

If is possible to leave no star, I would! When it first opened it had great food, good service and a fun addition of the pool tables. How things have changed! The food is mediiocore at best, slow service and just another loud bar (sad when you can't even hear those at your table). I would not recommend them unless you are just looking for another loud bar.

Very disappointed in this place. We were hoping for a place to get good pub style fish and chips, but did not even come close to finding it here. It appears that they run this place as a bar that serves food and not a true pub. It was obvious that the oil was very old and needed to be changed. We actually visited here twice in order to give them a second chance in hopes they were just having an off week during our first visit, they weren't. The staff seemed very aloof and didn't seem to care that their job is a service job. I recommend finding another establishment to serve as your pub.
(1)Katie D.
There is only one way you'll get great service here: order booze, and lots of it. If they come to take your drink order and you get iced tea, soda, anything without alcohol, you'll be completely ignored. And the food...it's just not that good. Their fish and chips is just fish with french fries, a common complaint of mine for almost all American English-style pubs. Ehh. Furthermore, a little effort could be made to help the smoke issue. You can smoke in there, fine. You know that right off the bat. But that doesn't mean everyone should leave reeking of smoke. Something can be done to get rid of the smoke that just hangs in the air. And also, yes it's a sports bar, again you know that going in. But given that there's dozens of televisions, you'd think there would be a little variety. I'm not even suggesting they show non-sports things, but rather ALL sports things at any given moment. It shouldn't just be golf and whatever football teams are popular in Memphis.

Why is this French dip sandwich so freaking good?! Definitely a great place to catch up with friends, try out some new brews, and get some greasy wings and fries! Must try the Abita and Andygator ;)
(4)Josh B.
Lots of pool tables which is great, food is ok, service is good. The crowd here seems to be people in there 20's. They have trivia but its only at 1030pm on sunday.

Food is good. Selection of beer was okay. If you want a wide selection of beers, head to the Flying Saucer...but you will pay more there then here. Staff is nice and where very kind to us when we where there for lunch.
(4)Teresa F.
I liked the food here... the prices were moderate. I had shredded beef tacos, which were quite spicy for this gringa and tasted delicious. The only bothersome thing is that there is not a non-smoking area of the restaurant / bar and there do not appear to be any smoke eaters. It was actually hard to breathe while eating and we STANK by the time we left. Would go again if it weren't so smoky. There are plenty of other new things to try in my new home... so it was yummy, but not respiratory-friendly. I'll pass on a return visit.

So as I was passing through Memphis looking to watch the Man United vs Chelsea match I figured it was a Sunday and maybe I would better off going to an English pub to catch some footie. When arriving to a DEAD bar. I politely asked the counter lady is she could change one of the 80 tv's to the match. She looked at me and said "all we have is football" oh really, you can't change one of these tv's which there was only one game on, for me, a paying customer? What a joke, they should change the name and take out anything related to the English pub. Wake up Memphis. Your "football" is turning into flag and it won't even be around in 10 years. Start watching a sport that actually uses the foot.

One place I can still go and have a drink, get a bite, and have a cigarette without being deemed a leper by the patrons. Beer selection is pretty good, I tried a few, but the prices are a bit on the steep side from what I'm used to. It gets a little too loud in there for my tastes at times, almost to the point where it's easier to text someone across the table from you instead of trying to scream over the music.

Fox and Hound is a fun place to hangout with friends, shoot pool, and play darts. Their traditional wings are ok not spicy enough for me, however if you order the boneless wings spicy those are extra hot and delicious, but the fries stole the show very good seasoning. So far my favorite drink here is the kryptonite margarita, maybe next time I'll try a different drink. Last time I was here, it was Zombie Night and it was so fun with Walking Dead season premiere, minute to win it games, $3 shots, and zombie contest.

Big open space, pool tables, lots of flat screen showing sports, even a ping pong table. One flat screen even had a soccer match on one of the screen which gives it a bonus. Downsides? Order some nachos and they were very disappointed by them. I mean, really, how hard is it to get the nachos wrong. Lots of beer. Good service. Again, the smoke kind of sucks.
