What's not to love about YoLo? Lowfat yogurt and locally sourced toppings come together in a one-size-fits-all cup. Favorites like Dinstuhl's (a Memphis-based candy company) hot fudge, Makeda's butter cookies, and local fresh fruits, when available, put a little extra sparkle in your personalized concoction. Of course traditional yogurt junk-food toppings like Fruity Pebbles, Lucky Charms, nuts, pretzels, marshmallows, m&ms and more abound. Price is determined strictly by weight, and a rewards program is available, using your email or cell phone number. My favorite yogurt is the California Tart, with blueberries, almonds, and coconut. Tip: Put toppings on the bottom, so your yogurt doesn't melt as your make your choices- and there are many choices.

It's pretty much your standard froyo place: dispensers, a variety of yogurts, and toppings. The location is great, and they hang local art on the wall, which is a nice touch. I do think they should play some music; it can get quiet in there.

This Yolo is much smaller than the one on Cooper. They have 8 flavors and still have a great selection. No gelato sold at this location. but that's more of a space constraint. They do have free wifi which is a bonus. My big issue is with their points system. The one on Cooper you give them your number and they add your points right away. If you have enough points you get your discount. I knew I had enough points but they said I couldn't use them because they put the points in afterwards here. So they put my receipt in a bowl with my phone number on it. Right on the counter. Yeah...real safe. They have computerized registers and an obvious internet connection so I don't know why they aren't able to use their rewards points. Especially since it's 3 days later and I haven't gotten an update that my points have gone in. Will this stop me from eating there, no. But it is frustrating.

I honestly don't see much difference between YoLo and the other self-serve frozen yogurt joints that seem to be everywhere. You get your cup, get whatever yogurt you like, add your toppings, and weigh and pay at the register. I went for vanilla with Reese's peanut butter cups, which was tasty, but not the most exciting dessert ever. It's at once limitless (any flavor! any topping!), and very limited (yogurt...just...yogurt). The solitary employee here emerged from the back and slowly and painfully rang us up, to the tune of $11 for the two of us, which seems a little steep if you ask me. I mean, it might be the best yogurt ever, but it's still just frozen yogurt. Good for YoLo if they can get away with it, but I'm not in a hurry to come back.

We walked in and immediately walked out. I think they had maybe 6 different flavors. Which was super disappointing. The layout was very strange as well. The seating is set up facing the area where one would go to get yogurt. I felt like I was on display or walking the red carpet. The kids working there looked completely bored and disenchanted. There are too many other fro yo places to go so I think YoLo needs to step it up a bit.

The beauty of YoLo is that there are very few rules. You pick up a cup at the beginning of the line and then fill it with as much frozen yogurt as you want. They've got eight flavors daily. Some are traditional (chocolate, vanilla, birthday cake), others are more exotic (blueberry tart and pomegranate were options yesterday). Once you've got your yogurt, you can top it with anything from the toppings bar. There are more than 20 options: fresh fruit from local orchards, cereal, gummy bears, cookies, and locally made granola. At the end of the line, you weigh your cup and pay by the ounce. When I was there yesterday afternoon, the tidy shop was bustling with families. I would have loved YoLo as a kid. If you've got kids, it's a great place to take them to teach decision making skills. The yogurt costs 45 cents per ounce, so it's affordable enough to go a little crazy with the toppings. Right now, the only YoLo location is in the Collierville town square, but there's a second YoLo opening in East Memphis in the next few weeks.

Just wanted to let Julie M know that more than One person give this five stars.... And apparently she just did not enjoy Memphis... For the wifey and I it it much more than who has the best yogurt. Yeah, I can go up the road and have 30 flavors to choose from, but The vision behind Yolo is great if you are behind supporting local...do a little research and find out where your money is going. They are expanding like crazy, hope they don't loose their vision in the process

This is a very fun place to go!! You get to be creative with your ice- cream and put how much ever you want on it!! I love sprinkles and feel I get robbed whenever I go somewhere else!! I love supporting locally!! And it's fun for my daughter and I! We love to go and sit on the square to eat the ice- cream and talk!

The beauty of this place is their extensive collection of toppings choices. We have been to many boutique frozen yogurt places across the US (especially in Vegas, where there is one on every corner), and without a doubt, these guys have the best toppings. Unfortunately, that is more of a testament to the local bakeries, farms, etc. of Memphis, than to YoLo. The problem is that eating at YoLo is like putting an expensive prom dress on an ugly chick. Their yogurt is marginal, boring, and tasteless. The toppings absolutely save the day for them. Such a shame.

I love their yogurt, and their topping selection is amazing! My only complaint is the Collierville location does not serve Gelato.

Meh. YoLo is OK, but is only has 4 machines and 8 flavors. Yogurt Nation, which is in a (much better / easier to get to) location in Collierville, has 9 machines and 18 flavors. YoLo put themselves in the Collierville square, where little old ladies who have done their antique shopping come to have lunch or tea. I don't see YoLo lasting a year.
