This is apparently similar to an IHOP but nicer. My friend and I came on Sunday for brunch around 12pm and waited 15-20 minutes to get seated. This place is pretty packed and they bake their own desserts and baked goods, or at least that's what I hear. I ordered the eggs benedict and substituted pancakes for one of my sides. The hashbrowns that came with the entree weren't good at all, it was too dry and a bit burnt. The benedict itself was not too bad but I've had better. I did enjoy the pancakes. The batter is very different from other typical restaurants that serve pancakes. It was slightly sweet and delicious.

This is my favorite place to go for breakfast food. I've gone here many times over the years and it is excellent each and every single time. I love this place. I usually get the Granny's Country Omelette with pepper jack cheese, breakfast potatoes, and whole grain or blueberry or chocolate chip pancakes. It's more food than I could possibly eat and the leftovers still taste great the next day. I sometimes try their dinner food but have found it to be mostly so-so compared to their breakfast options. So I think I will stick with breakfast food when I come here (which is crazy to those who know my because I usually prefer dinner food over breakfast food). Favorites: - Breakfast Potatoes - Multigrain and Nut Pancakes - Blueberry Pancakes - Chocolate Chip Pancakes - Strawberry Bliss Pancakes - Granny's Country Omelette (with pepper jack cheese) - Quesadillas (been awhile, need to try them again) - White Balsamic Dressing - Hot Chocolate Ok: - Jumbo Shrimp Dinner - Cod - Salad with white balsamic dressing (dressing is good!) Nah: - Herb Rice (side) - Potato Pancakes

Clean, updated furnishings, and great food like all the other Perkins. There are several low cost choices and a tomato-basil soup was allowed as a substitution for French fries with my meat loaf sandwich (huge portion). So for $8, I ate well. There's other options for those watching their fat and sugar intake, and lots of yummy non-healthy choices for the less self-disciplined. The baked goods on display at the front door are hard to resist. The pie slices and appetizers are half price between 9pm and midnight (close). The free Wi-Fi makes this a great stopover for those traveling "corridor X" (Birmingham - Memphis) to I-40. Paige gave us great service.

Well...Where does on begin? Ah! At walking in the door is a good place. It is a Sunday morning, and being in the bible belt, it's quite busy at this Perkins. This is one of the better restaurants for breakfast in this area. Surprisingly, there aren't many "mom & pop" shops nearby. So the Perkins chain is popular here. The wait staff are friendly, considerate, cheerful, and seem to enjoy being here. But sometimes when it gets busy, they can be a little overwhelmed. Being a late morning on Sunday, there are many who are going to, or coming from church. This presented a problem for seating today. After waiting in line and letting the hostess know I preferred a booth, I was told there were none available at the moment and I was invited to have a seat in the waiting area. No worries...I understand. It's busy today. After watching 3 sets of customers enter over the following 10 minutes after my arrival and be seated at booths, I asked to see the manager. I asked if there were issues with seating me a booth. He asked if I was "on the list?" Oops! What list? Did I just overlook getting "on the list"? I turned and looked for this "list" he mentions. "What list?" I ask. Oops! There is no list! But he recovered quickly, apologized, and responded well to my inquiry about when I would be seated. A booth just opened, and he led the way to it. After ordering, my breakfast arrived about 5 minutes later. It was hot, fresh, and actually tasted good. The bacon was even crispy as I like it. That alone seems to be a difficult task for most line cooks. But today, breakfast was good. And for less than $12 American! 3.5 stars if it was an option. But 4 will do since I cannot in good conscience take away 2 stars for lack of a "list" to be seated.

Not a good night for perkins. We got up and walked out after waiting for someone to take our drink order. Only a few customers. The floor was pretty dirty.

Franchises are still very different by location. Service and food quality can vary dramatically. Fortunately this Perkins is way on the good side of both. Breakfast is always outstanding and the service excellent.

The service was awful - my waitress was not attentive to our drinks. After one person in our party asked for a refill the waitress failed to recognize the other two empty glasses on the table. My food was also dry and she never introduced herself. Before bringing the check she never asked how we wanted split. It also took five minutes to bring me new silverware and she failed to take our order directly after bringing drinks even when we said we were ready to order.

There's something about being called honey, sweetie, and baby doll by a waitress that is the same age as my child that I find it insulting. I am sure she doesn't mean this in the condescending way but it still bothers me. The table was sticky when I first arrived and the silverware but is also unclean when I unwrapped it from the napkin. The floor needs to be vacuumed it has debris all over it. The restaurant was not busy when I was there. I ordered a cheeseburger with cheddar cheese but it came with American cheese. Otherwise the food was as expected. The food was okay. I enjoyed the lemon meringue pie for dessert.

Tasty food with ample portions, hardly a wait. The wait staff are friendly and helpful. On occasion, something is amiss - just recently my husband mentioned the biscuit was hard and without us asking, the waitress gave us a 20% discount. I also noticed she gave free cookies to the kids at the next table after their meal. I like that kind of service and look forward to our next visit there!

I have been coming here for 22 years and have watched them remodel 4 times, the keep it modern clean and fresh. There are two servers that have been here for the entire 22 years, wow. That speaks to the operation, they just do it right. The menu is getting better with various steak tip dishes, fancy french toast and pancakes and the eclairs have even gotten better. The fish and chips are atlantic cod, not bad at all. This location is very clean, pleasant and the staff are the best.

I've had Perkins many times but have lived out of state the past 13 years. I am in Collierville visiting for the month. My husband and I took an old friend there to catch up a little and this is how it went... We arrived at 11:10pm. They close at 12:00am which we learned as we entered. No problem as we were tired and only wanted pie and a little coffee before ending the night with our friend we hadn't seen in ages. Well we were sat immediately by a gal that didn't look thrilled to have us. We ordered coffee and sodas and we're looking at the pie choices when she came back and said they were completely out of coffee and wouldn't get more until tomorrow. .... Yes we were a little surprised.... No we didn't believe her. So we stuck with soda and she went to get those. Then a guy show up (the cook) to tell us he had already shut down the grill.... Ok well that sucks and all because.... Yeah YOU ARENT CLOSED!!!! Ok well we only want pie ...soooo. Then we have to go through all the pie choices she said they didn't have until we got bright and asked her "so what DO you have" and selected from that. Two out of three people didn't get the kind they wanted. Ok. Were also weren't given silverware. Finally we start eating pie.... And the manager shows up. We try to blow him off but evidently he is lonely. He keeps talking. And talking. About his brother that he hasn't spoken to in years.... Finally he wanders away. I'm done eating and still didn't get to chat with my friend. My hubby is on the phone and still eating his ice cream (they were out of both his pie choices) so we went outside to smoke and chat while he finished. Yeah..... so did the manager.... And he talked. And my friend and I didn't get to chat. Well while he was out there we expressed our complete surprise that they were "out of coffee" ... His immediate response (before he thought it through ) was "She told you that?" With just as much surprise as we had when she told us! If it wasn't such horrible blatant bad service it would be laughable. He even said she could have made some but we explained she had told us they were completely out and wouldn't get more until tomorrow. His expression was priceless. Then he covered for her..... And said "well we did run out of coffee one day last week so maybe we are out. I'll have to check on that." No sir. You would know if you were HAHA. Just because your server isn't...ahem... bright doesn't mean your customers aren't. Sell crazy elsewhere please. All of that and we still left before their closing time.... Collierville Perkins sucks majorly.

I think the food to price ratio for families is 5 star. But the service on those nights ranges from 2 to 4 star. It can be hit or miss. Perkins is really a good place to go, and Kids Eat Free here on Tuesdays and Saturdays, and the kids love going here. Outstanding desserts and muffins

I haven't been to a Perkin's in ages. It's like Denny's, but better. Food was good, service was great. I'm excited that it's right down the block from where we are going to live. The bakery stuff is my undoing. I had some French Silk pie that was dreamy. Kids also get a free cookie with any meal.

One of my son's favourite places to go. Always fast and friendly service. Food is average and worth the price.
