After standing at the counter for five minutes with no greeting whatsoever, someone finally walked up and asked if we had been taken care of (I should have turned around and walked out by this point). I ordered a garden veggie with no onions. I get it, take a bite, and it had onions in it. I took it back up to the counter and the lady there told me there were no onions in my crepe, then said it was simply red bell peppers like I'm some moron or something. No dear heart, I know what an onion is and tastes like..seriously! After a few minutes she brings my crepe out and instead of saying I'm sorry or can I get you anything else, I get a here's your crepe and walks off. Worst customer service ever!! I have worked in customer service for 12+ years. I know we all have bad days, but the point of customer service is to resolve issues, not blow people off. I still can't believe how she argued with me on what an onion is when a simple sorry, I'll remake it (as she rolled her eyes in front of me). Will NOT be coming back! I have been coming here since they opened, and the service has done nothing, but go down hill.

I wasn't sure if we were going to like this place. Most places can make a good sweet crepe but often fail at savory crepes. This place did a great job with both. I got a small Chicken Fajita crepe and a small Dulce Treat crepe. They were amazing and I didn't feel overly full when I was done. They have options for a crepe and salad, soup and crepe, savory crepe and dessert crepe. The prices are pretty reasonable and you'd pay about the same for a meal at Panera. My son loved that he could watch them make the food. Service was fast and friendly and they were very careful to make my husband's food to his specifications (he has allergies). I can't wait to go back and try their other crepes.

I would give it zero stars but that's not possible. This place is bad, please refrain from bringing any human being into this horrible building that fronts for a restaurant. Seriously, I think dogs would turn down these craps. Not crepes, but craps. I will repeat, please don't come to crap master until new management, or employees are hired. You will end up spending way to much money on mediocre service and products.

I love this place and have been going here for years! I had to write a positive review after reading the negative ones. I just don't get it. EVERY time I visit the food is wonderful!! My favorite is the Raspberry Chicken. It is always clean and staff is nice and knowledgeable. I think the price for what you get is great!! The food is delicious and so unique

This place is terrible. Like other reviewers have said, when you walk into this place, it looks dirty and dingy. The staff is loud and obnoxious, not professional at all. I had hoped that the crepe would make up for the less-than-stellar first impression, but it did not. I had "The Californian", and there was so much liquid coming out of the bottom that my crepe completely fell apart. The flavors were ok, but not good enough to make me want to come back. Don't waste your money.

AVOID. This place is DISGUSTING. The initial odor that greets you when you walk in is highly unpleasant, the staff is not friendly and is very slow, the food not good. And the whole restaurant is filthy. The woman behind the counter was TEXTING AS SHE PREPARED FOOD and she did not wash her hands. I should have called the manager.

Called to get an event catered but no one return call. Called them back the next day and called multiple times to get someone to answer. Finally spoke with some one to finally let me know they couldn't do it... Great food. Poor Management.

Ordered desert and waited for 30 minutes. The wait time was not worth it because I got the desert with rotten apples and banana. They ran out of spoons, lids and place was not clean at all. Very poor service. Stay away from this place unless they get their act together this place will close soon.

After some debate regarding what kind of dessert my girlfriend and I should get (she wanted cupcakes or cookies and I wanted ice cream), we came to a happy compromise and decided to come here. We had tried this place at a "Live at the Gardens" event where they had a vending station, and were pleased with what he had that day, so we had been meaning to come back. Upon arrival, the person working the register was busy handling something else in the establishment, but the gentleman who makes the crepes was warm and welcoming, and asked what we were going to order so he could start preparing it; this level of attentiveness and service was greatly appreciated. The lady returned to the register and was very warm, welcoming, and engaged as she took our order. My girlfriend ordered the triple threat and I ordered the bad girl (name aside, I love strawberries, cinnamon, and dulce de leche, and just loved the combination of ingredients). We got our crepes and were very pleased with our desserts. The portion was quite adequate and the price point was on point. Upon leaving, we were asked if we enjoyed everything and were wished a good night; it was good to see that they took service seriously from the moment we walked in to the moment we left. The only reason I dock it a star is that I feel the price point is a little high for what they are offering, and the ambiance certainly needs work. I definitely look forward to coming back to this establishment again in the future.

I was surpsied to read all of the reviews about this place being overpriced. I just paid $7.00 for a huge dessert crepe (strawberries, bananas, nutella) and a water and it was well worth it! Entree crepes are $7.55-8.25 and they're plenty big enough for me. So yum and so worth it! Only complaint is that it does seem to take them a long time to prepare the crepes, but there is a sign warning it takes them a while to be made fresh!

The moment I walked in, I felt uncomfortable. The staff doesn't look like even they want to be here. It kind of reminds of the waiting staff over at Collierville Huey's, which is basically filled with high school kids who doesn't give a ####. I ordered an entree and dessert combo. Next time I'm here, I'll pass on the entree and just get desserts. The photo on the wall for the entree I ordered looked beautiful. What I got was sloppy and tasted no better than frozen burritos. The dessert on the other hand was awesome. I probably would not repeat. I'd rather go next door to the frozen yogurt shop for dessert.

What's the French term for "Hell NO?" The crepes are treated like tortillas for quesadillas (no crepe pan or batter in sight - just a stack of pre-cooked crepe crackers). So I opted for a salad. This was an epic mistake. Stale pin nuts, aged spinach and a pesto vinaigrette that's was more ViniNO. The sun dried tomatoes - rather bland -- became my entire lunch. This place isn't going to pass on any cleanliness awards either -- try not to stare too long as the food preppers.

Out shopping, Wanted to go somewhere that offered soup. Cactus chili is so good! It's a little on the sweet side, but very hearty in the cold weather. They have a combo where you can get a small crepe and soup. We spent about $11/piece. For the combo and a soda. Staff very nice, and went out of the way to make sure we were satisfied with our meal. The setup is kinda like mccallisters. You order at register, then sit and they bring your food out.. They only have one size for their fountain drinks, and it was LARGE. We just got one soda and shared it. The cups are big! I think they maybe a little bigger than the ones at Booyahs. I want to go back and try a dessert crepe..

MEH The food: low quality. Veggies did not taste fresh, chicken was iffy. The value: very overpriced. The young man (Pat) at the cash register had Poor customer service. We asked about certain ingredients in our meal before ordering and didn't get a response, but when we ordered he said they didn't have the same ingredients that we JUST asked for...we were given salads late and his friend that worked there got an attitude because we were complaining about his poor service and said she would remake them...NO THANKS! Completely overpriced. And the workers expected a tip for simply bringing food to the table. You have to get your own silverware and drinks and half the tables were filthy. Our drinks were $3.00 each and looked like kids cups. And the workers look miserable. Our food order was correct on the receipt but the kitchen completely ignored our requests to skip out on mushrooms, onions and dressing. There was probably an entire onion in my crepe alone. Needless to say, we won't be back. I've tried this place before and it was great. I don't know what happened

Food was ok but I felt ripped off after receiving my sandwich. My wife liked hers but mine (ham& cheese) crepe was flat and barely had anything on it. $15 for two sandwiches w/ no sides and 2 waters. Seems kinda steep for what I got. Employees were eating and talking on their cell phones. Food prep guy had his hands in his mouth and never washed hands. He was more concerned about eating and talking on his phone than making food. I made the manager aware of it and she made excuses for the employees. This place is unprofessional

Came here on a slow Sunday morning. Everything was fine until our food came out. First a server bought us food that was supposed to go to a different table. Then the food finally came out and we started eating, after a couple of bites I realized that my crepe was missing beans. So I asked the server why the beans were missing? The server, Breana, her response was that "well you have been eating it". To which my response was that I can only find out that the beans were missing after I had a bite. Breana then tells me that" you should have said something before you started eating". I later spoke to the manager who ended up replacing my crape and apologized for Breana. To the owner of the crepe maker: I don't usually rate places, but I am writing this because over the years I have spend thousands of dollars at your place, I have even catered multiple parties for various occasions at my house from your restaurant. Your servers need to be trained to be humble and courteous to people who are coming in and spending money at your business, and I think they should also be aware of the fact that slamming a plate of food on the table doesn't send a good message to your customers. I came here today for brunch so that I can decide the menu for catering my child's first birthday party. Thanks to Breana I won't be doing that anymore!

This restaurant has great potential, and really the food is tasty. It is unique, and there is a great menu for entrees and desserts. However, in saying that, I don't love the place because of the previously mentioned management issues. It isn't just the worker issues previously mentioned in other reviews, but add on that they expect you to tip like it was a regular sit down restaurant, and it just really makes the ordering of the meal uncomfortable. Let me see, I go and order at the counter, I get my own drink and utensils, some times have to clean off a table before sitting down, and when i leave, i clean up my own table, but on the receipt you are putting a tipping guide to tip 20%... yeah, that is a management issue. Another indicator is the fact that there are some good workers there sometimes when I go, but it is just hit and miss. Still, this is still a unique place to eat with good food. Also, they have a kids eat free night on Wednesday.

Let me start by saying I was really excited for my sister and daughter to experience the crepe maker because I had been there previously on my own and really enjoyed the food. When they are good, they are GOOD. But when they are bad, they are really bad. Service was less than attentive, a side conversation about a previous customer whose order was incorrect was heard by us as we approached the counter to order. After ordering, we sat at our table for 30 minutes and STILL had not received our food. After asking to speak to the floor manager, he approached the counter less than apologetic with no sense of urgency. He only inquired if we wanted our food or not? Another employee stood next to him with a grimace on her face as if to say "What is your problem, lady?" Instead of carrying out her duties on the job she was unprofessional and rude. After speaking with the lead manager via telephone, we left, but not before the rude employee from before sarcastically yelled at us as we walked out the door. We will not recommend this establishment.

Although I like the crepes, the service is horrible. The last time I came in there was no line and 2 employees stood there, saw me waiting but didn't acknowledge me, and started to count the money in the tip jar while joking around for several minutes without saying a word to me. Bad/slow service and over priced food is what you get here.

Crepes aren't just for dainty ladies or breakfast anymore! Yummy and fresh! You will be waiting for your crepe because they are developed fresh upon ordering and folks believe when I tell you they are huge! Best option is to go for the small entree and small desert combo! You will be very satisfied! I tried the Opulence and it was so tasty, the warm crepe stuffed full of fresh spinach and artichokes with a well seasoned sliced chicken breast really good. I finished with the Dulce and again I must compliment the time they take to prepare each one at the appropriate time. The wait staff notified the kitchen when we had completed our entrees so our desserts were fresh and still warm. I wish I had taken photos! Ladies talk your husbands into trying it out! Beats bread any day!

I don't k now where to start. :/ The place it's self was a downer. Half the fountain drinks where out of order, which I didn't get anyway, after paying $8 for the crepe I just got water. Everything looked so cheap and the food did not make it worth the time. Sign says that it take time to make crepes because made fresh. They may make the actual crepe fresh but the filling not so much. The chicken is my crepe was obvious frozen/thawed strips like you get from Tyson. My whole family went and we all got a different one, and none of us where happy. I also got a side of the "Loaded potato salad" again not fresh just store bought yuck! We can say" been there done that" but we won't be back.

I've eaten my share of crepes freshly crafted by a street vendor in Paris and . . . these are not the same crepes. In France, the crepe is delicate and soft with simple fillings like butter and sugar or ham and cheese. At Crepe Maker, the crepe is precooked, then loaded with fillings and reheated, resulting in a crispy texture on the outside. That being said, Crepe Maker is quite tasty! The menu has a broad range of savory, egg, and dessert crepes, as well as soups and salads. Since I couldn't make up my mind between sweet and savory, I opted for the combo of a small entree and a small dessert crepe. The menu has an extensive combination of ingredients and flavors. I went with the pesto chicken and the triple treat for dessert. The pesto was excellent, a delightful blend of chicken, red peppers, cheese, spinach, and pesto. I am a huge fan of Nutella and banana for a sweet crepe. The Triple Treat adds strawberries (and whipped cream, which I scratched) to the mix and it is heavenly. I would have given Crepe Maker four stars, but they don't offer a full coffee bar, which is a must for my weekend brunch choice, and all of their meals are served with disposable cups, plates, utensils, etc. Might I suggest a real plate, actual silverware, and a glass or mug? Small touches like this impact the dining experience, as well as the environment. Regardless, please eat and enjoy!

I wanted to like this place. We love crepes and when I've been to Paris, I always like getting crepes from the street vendors (i.e. I don't really care if the place is a dive if the food is good). I went last Friday night with my two teenagers and my wife. The place had a few customers, but wasn't particularly busy - maybe 1/3 of the tables were filled and there was no line at all where you order. I should have gotten the hint that a lot of customers complain about the service when I saw a sign that said they serve "fresh" food rather than fast food. OK, I understand that you have to be seated and not expect the food right away. After ten minutes of waiting, my two kids crepes were brought out and not my wife and mine. We presumed that the waitress would be right back with the other half of our order, but the next few times we saw the waitress she was delivering food to other customers. Another 15 minutes passed and my kids finished their meals. I was pretty annoyed at that point as we did not hear anything from the waitress about a problem. I went in to ask what the story was and was told that I'll have to be patient because they're busy. A few observations. First, the place was pretty pricey for what really is a fast food restaurant. When you order at a counter, that's a first indicator. Second, we're talking about crepes, not souffles. The whole thing should take no more than five minutes to prepare the crepe and cook the fillings (they were all vegetarian orders by the way). The style is like Pei Wei or McAllisters if you are in the Memphis area). In Paris, great crepes are found at street stands all over the city and they make it in front of you in just a couple of minutes. Not exactly rocket science. We paid $38, for four crepes and three soft drinks. Pretty expensive when you consider what you get - an average sized crepe about as filling as half a sub and no side items unless you want to pay more. That's a pretty poor value compared to similar style restaurants. Second, the attitude of the staff shows a management that either is clueless or doesn't care. A simple apology goes a long way and that would probably have made a big difference. Instead, we basically got the message that bad service is normal and we just need to lower our expectations. As for the food - really nothing great. We didn't stick around for dessert as was our original plan given how bad things had been already. Hopefully, they'll either get it together at this place or another crepe restaurant will open up nearby.

First impressions. You walk in and it's not clean. Looks like the dining area hasn't been attended to all day. I waited 21 minutes from the time I put in my order until I received my crepe. I ordered the steak Milanese by the way. It wasn't spectacular. I definitely won't be coming back here. It's unfortunate because I was looking forward to ordering a dessert crepe. The people who take your order aren't very professional either. Save yourself the trouble and go some place else.

A must when in the area! The food is fresh and wonderful! I could eat there for life! Wonderful choices of entrees and big enough to share (though you dont want to) deserts. If you haven't been there in a while, they resently moved into a new location in The Avenue and now has seating, a problem they had in the cramped original location. It is worth a drive, but I wish there were more locations in town! I have been to several festivals where they set up booths. There always a line and always worth the wait. Crepe Maker is on the top of my favorite casual restrants in town.

Service was beyond poor. Waited in la short line forever and felt for the guy learning the register. another employee took over and took our order quickly. Food never came and they tried to hand me food we didn't order. Never got food or an apology. Management needs a lesson in customer service.

The Pesto Chicken crepe was pretty good. I added mushrooms & artichokes to mines. Im from New Orleans & have eaten my share of crepes. I did not particularly like the crispiness of the crepes; I prefer them to soft. I was ok w/ the resturant until I tasted my desert crepe. It was tough, dry, & forgetable. I expected so much more & I really wanted to like it. It was such a fail & disappointing. Also, they could improve the quality of there customer service. One good thing I would say about there service is.....they have free wifi. The waiter was ok, until I gave him feedback concerning the quality of my desert crepe.
Handheld crepes made with very fresh ingredients. All made to order and I thought ours was yummy! Plus I liked the outdoor seating option.

Service was beyond poor. Waited in la short line forever and felt for the guy learning the register. another employee took over and took our order quickly. Food never came and they tried to hand me food we didn't order. Never got food or an apology. Management needs a lesson in customer service.

Ordered desert and waited for 30 minutes. The wait time was not worth it because I got the desert with rotten apples and banana. They ran out of spoons, lids and place was not clean at all. Very poor service. Stay away from this place unless they get their act together this place will close soon.

This place makes good crepes with a varied menu, from main entrees to desserts. They were out of the crepe I wanted one night, so the management gave me a meal for free. First class service!

I came with friends this time and tried my friend's Garden Veggie crepe. It was great and I plan to try that next time. I never would've thought to try something that was vegetarian. Crepe maker is an extremely unique restraunt !! It's very good and they have an extensive menu !! This is my second time here and I highly recommend the chicken fajita crepe (yummmm) my stomach just growled anyway very good but I don't recommend the pizza crepes because they won't fill you up its really a crepe with a few sprinkles of cheese oh and kids eat free on Wednesday nights
(5)Maggie B.
MEH The food: low quality. Veggies did not taste fresh, chicken was iffy. The value: very overpriced. Over $10 before tax for a SMALL crepe and small soup/salad, etc. Plus a drink, you'll be paying $15 for a mediocre lunch. The atmosphere: blech! Creepy. Trying to be french but also industrial. I did not like it.
(2)Alexander M.
Had an amazing time at the crepe maker this morning. My wife and I love crepes and had heard about this place from a friend. We received great customer service! Prices are a little high $7.50 + for a crepe, but the crepes tasted great and are a great size.

The young man (Pat) and young lady had a very poor attitude... THANK YOU to the young lady "B" that came and spoke with us and apologized for her co-workers poor attitude.

Poor customer service, workers seemed very lazy. We drove 30 minutes out of our way to eat here and their credit card machine was out of service... Associates took about 10 minutes to even acknowledge and take our order.
(1)Rach L.
(1)Hana C.
They have great crepes and great service. Chef, server, and cashier are very nice and sweet. The crepes are very flavorful. A very happy place to have brunch, lunch, or snack. I loved the crepes I had in Seattle but the crepes I had here was way better. I would recommend this place to anyone and everyone who likes or would like to try crepes.

(5)Kristin B.

(2)Amruta S.
I of the best crepes I have ever eaten. Never disappointed. you can eat hand crafted crepes any way you like as a entrée or as a desert. And they all taste amazing. One of the places you will want to go again and again. If you do try rocky mountain its to die for

Handheld crepes made with very fresh ingredients. All made to order and I thought ours was yummy! Plus I liked the outdoor seating option.

They do desert crepes right, especially Nutella crepes.

(5)Frank C.
This place makes good crepes with a varied menu, from main entrees to desserts. They were out of the crepe I wanted one night, so the management gave me a meal for free. First class service!
(4)Sharleen C.
I came into eat here and super impressed with speed and value! They are very friendly and conforming to your likes. Plus they have a great selection of coffee here. I had the black and red... Delicious amount of strawberry and chocolate!
(5)Nadeene I.
Poor customer service, workers seemed very lazy. We drove 30 minutes out of our way to eat here and their credit card machine was out of service... Associates took about 10 minutes to even acknowledge and take our order.

I came with friends this time and tried my friend's Garden Veggie crepe. It was great and I plan to try that next time. I never would've thought to try something that was vegetarian. I'm glad I found a dinner crepe that I enjoy. They only have one crepe with cheesecake so next time I plan to go and try making my own. Note: Have great coupons in Memphis City Saver 2014 (buy one get one). The young man (Pat) and young lady had a very poor attitude... THANK YOU to the young lady "B" that came and spoke with us and apologized for her co-workers poor attitude.
(1)Alexander M.
Had an amazing time at the crepe maker this morning. My wife and I love crepes and had heard about this place from a friend. We received great customer service! Prices are a little high $7.50 + for a crepe, but the crepes tasted great and are a great size.
(5)Rach L.
(1)Emerson Y.
(2)Daniel C.
(2)Erin T.
(2)Hana C.
(5)Chris W.

(3)Caitlin S.
(1)Adam P.
Worst service ever. Waited 25 minutes to get our food and the my wife didn't even get what she ordered.

(4)LaQuita M.
(1)Coco J.
