Cajun Catfish has the best fried pickles ever! The whole experience here is pretty good for the most part, I did have an incident where our waitress just completely ignored me and my family so we paid for our drinks and left, it was that bad! But other than that everything is great!

This place has the best tasting seafood I've ever had since living in Memphis. I usually have to wait until I'm closer to the coast to get catfish like this. Be sure to try the red beans and rice. ......so good. ....spicy but heck, it's cajun. They have all you can eat king crab legs and shrimps every Thursday. They have all you can eat catfish chicken and shrimps everyday. I never could eat that much so I usually get the 2 catfish filets and shrimps with fries and slaw and it's massive. Takes me two days to eat it all. If you leave there hungry. ...it's your fault.

Excellent Food, great service. Decent decor...clean. I like the wall of flame...a bunch of hot sauces. It is so good to be back down south where they do Cajun food right and these guys are a great example. They make their own sauces here and all are excellent! Blacked Catfish is the BOMB! Fried catfish is pretty good. Fries are good. Excellent red beans and rice.

We ordered two plates both of three fried catfish filets and appetizer of fried green tomatoes to go. I was pleasantly surprised that none of the food was too greasy. The tomatoes were great, battered perfectly. The filets were huge and seasoned well. We had enough to feed four adults and one child. My only dislike was the hushpuppies. Next time I will go and eat there to see if the service is as good as the food.

This place pleasantly surprised me. Stopped in for lunch on a whim as it was on the way to a meeting. Cute little place that looks like a cabin, the service was friendly and attentive, the food was a mix of Cajun and southern - I had the blackened fish tacos and they were very tasty. Nice pieces of fish, nicely blackened with a good flavor. We also had the fried sampler which had green tomatoes, dill pickle spears and cheese. That was ok, nothing special. In all, a nice little place to grab a meal and a drink.

Really cool building, fast service, good food. Crawfish was good but pricey. Boyfriend loved the all you can eat catfish! And the ghost river red beer! We had a wonderful server, Olivia, who chased us down to bring us our phone! Ask for her if you go, she's a doll!

Service was good. Ambiance was great. Food, not so great. Would not go back. I had fried shrimp with sweet potatoe fries - which is hard to mess up. Other than the fries were luke warm. . My husband had a "fresh" fish filet. Obvious it was not a fresh filet. It was served barely warm, very mushy and lacked flavor. My husband described it best as "buffet food" served at a table. Definitely would not return. Too bad. We both had high hopes.

My first Yelp review because I was very impressed with the food and the service here. Ordered the Cajun redfish sandwich. Nice flavoring and cooked perfectly. Easy to overcook blackened fish but it was juicy and fresh. Mashed potatoes are homemade with chunks. Just like mom made. Service was super friendly and fast. We have been back and will keep going. Kids love it. Cool lodge like interior.

Ack! Worst gumbo I've ever had. How do you screw up gumbo? It tasted burned, like it had been sitting on high heat for too long, and they scraped the burned part off the bottom of the pot--it even had little black burned flecks in it. Very disappointing.

As the sign quotes Samuel Clemens (that's Mark Twain for some) "The catfish is a plenty good enough for anyone." The catfish was pretty good. But every time I ordered the cajun style fish, I was brought southern style instead, the waitress telling me the cook "forgot" to add the spice when he cooked it. And that he was "heavy handed" with the spice after. The waitress would bring me cajun spice powder to sprinkle on the fish myself. Hmm... So, it was still good fish, shrimp, and chicken tenders. The tea is good, and the service is actually excellent. They still lose a star for not getting the cajun spice right... I mean, it IS called the "Cajun Catfish Company", isn't it? I'll come back.

Try one of their hit sauces from the wall of flame. Big salads, fresh, they have nice spin on bang bang shrimp and some of the best Ted beans and rice north of Nawlins. You can also get a beer to wash down some of the Cajun dishes. The crab boils are big and authentic, and they have all u can eat catfish everyday plus all u van eat crawfish and crablegs on select days. Also nice to dit out on the deck on nice days. Overall a nice experience. The sign outside says Cajun Catfish company, but it is a lot more than catfish, they have crawfish, shrimp, redfish, talapia, and even steaks, plus oyster, shrimp and chicken po' boys and more. Give this place a try, we have been back several times since they opened and they keep getting better. FYI ... I have read bad stuff about imported fish, their catfish is us farm fed, and all their fish is USDA, so that makes me feel better. The servers, hostess and even chefs are all very pleasant and want to make sure that you are happy. There is also pleasant outdoor seating and a full bar inside.

Really great food and a lot of choices. Always busy when I go but call in orders to take longer than the time they tell u.
Yum! Love this place. I've been to this establishment on two occasions and both times have been excellent experiences. The service was good and the food was scrumptious (I love how the word scrumptious rolls off of your tongue). The only disturbing part of the entire experience (both times) was the place was absolutely empty. I'm not sure if it's because they don't use any type of marketing or if the location is not visible enough, your guess is as good as mine. Now let's get to the food. The food reminds me of the places I frequented in college after a night of partying. The food comes in obnoxiously large portions and is as fattening as it gets. I love the shrimp and grits as well as the red beans and rice. I would recommend trying both. Now get out and try this place!

Had the fried catfish and shrimp. The batter is not good at all. Fish ok. Same with shrimp. Friend had all you can eat crap and shrimp. She said crap was too small and tough. Shrimp was boiled and very large but not much taste. Should have gotten grilled. I will stick with shrimp if you eat here. Prices way to high on all you can eat, $40. Disappointed as I was expecting a very good experience.

What a great looking place from the outside. My wife & I went here on a Saturday about 1 PM. There was only one other couple in the joint besides us. We were looking for some good fried catfish and this looked and sounded like the perfect place. Three pieces of fried catfish with coleslaw and fries for $11.99. We were all in especially after they advertised "FRESH" farm raised catfish. Well, the fillets were huge, probably 4 ounces each. I was excited. However, it was far from "Fresh". It was frozen, no taste & mushy. The breading did not stick to the fillets and the fish itself was watery. The fries were just OK and the coleslaw needed some onions and less mayonaisse. What a disappointment! This place has great ambiance and the beer is cold. The beer selection is unique. Too Bad! I really wanted to like this place.

Love this place! My friends had their wedding reception here for a casual end to a quaint wedding. It was a great size for the guests of about 150. The management was excellent per the bride and groom. The food was varied but all things seafood. Their fried catfish is terrific. And the hush puppies makes my inner fat kid smile :)

A nice lunch spot. 12 of us went here and sat at two tables and received very good service albeit, a little on the slow side. The combo lunch plate is a value at $9.50 and the sausage they served was absolutely outstanding. I ordered Cajun Fried Catfish as the second item and it was ok. Not great. The beans and rice were outstanding. Next time I'll get an entire bowl of just that for lunch. If you get seated over an airconditioning vent it can be uncomfortable. Use the menu to block the airflow.

Good food, weird music, empty restaurant. First time going there and only one other group when we got there around 11:30. Food is mostly catfish/chicken/shrimp, but has a good selection of sides. Everything tasted fine, didn't seem prepacked or prepared way in advance. Music was smooth jazz covers of older popular songs, sounds like Kenny G until you realize. Service was great, offered refills and to-go cups. Other restaurants at this location have died out before, probably due to almost missing when driving up Byhalia. No complaints though, would go back.

I had to-go lunch from Cajun Catfish today for the first time. Overall, very good! I had fish tacos, a side of sautéed veggies (zucchini, squash, peppers and onions) and cole slaw. The tacos were very good....actually excellent. The grilled wrapper was a nice touch. Very fresh. The cole slaw was good as well....nice vinegar-based recipe. The veggies were in place of the rice it comes with. They were decent, a little under-seasoned for me, but still tasty. My co-worker had the fried shrimp (I had one) and was impressed. Large, hand battered and a good number of them. The fries are 'hand-cut' but were a bit soggy and not as crispy as I had wanted. This could be due to the order being in the to-go box. I'm sure they would be better if eaten at the restaurant. She had the banana pudding, as it was the 'dessert special' of the day. For $1.99 the serving was enormous and she loved it. Apparently the special changes from day to day, but she was blown away with portion size and really like it as well. I would recommend trying this place based on my visit. I'll be back....soon.
