Nice family type restaurant. We had a BLT, a hot ham and cheese, and a roast beef and gravy. We all cleaned our plates. The bill was about $20. Great staff, sure is better than a chain restaurant.

Cute place, really really nice staff. Pork tenderloin was hot and ok. I am pretty sure the potatoes are from a box and taste like fake butter. Fried Okra tasted like they just made it. Bananna pudding was so so. The peanut butter pie was really really good but small. I love their salads and ranch dressing. In fact, I am craving one of their salads right now. The reason I only gave it 3 star is they use fake potatoes. The people who work at Golden Girls are so nice and seem sincerely happy to help you. It is because of the people that I will go back and keep trying different things till hopefully I find something there I like.

Friendly staff, small little hole in the wall restaurant. The meals are good portion, a little bland. Decent prices. Pies are amazing!!

Golden Girls specializes in certain dishes - their 'Broasted Chicken' is great. Their desserts are very good and their breakfasts are very good as well. However, their salads are not. The Chef Salad has bologna type meat, not the freshest of greens, the cheap pre-shredded cheese that tastes like cardboard, absolutely awful. It is an institution in Clinton however and has become so due to the menu selections it does well. Moral? Choose carefully.

Nice server and home style atmosphere. The Dinners my family had were average. My beef roast, mashed potatoes and gravy seemed processed from a can. It was nourishment and I ate it since we needed to get back on the road. I did not like it at all. The bill was expensive for the type and quality of food we had.

Drove through on 11/05 on our way to fly-fish in NC. Good home-cooking. Desserts crazy delicious! I think it was the apple stack cake that was the best. The rolls are yummy and the fish tasty. Will definitely be back!

Found by accident on my way to Knoxville. The thousand Island dressing is amazing. Home made! Had the broasted chicken, fried okra and mashed potatoes. All excellent. New favorite place when in the area. Server was Lisa. Nicest waitress I've met in some time! Will be back

In town for convention stayed at hotel next door ate three meals here all in evening. First day liver and onion I'd give 5 stars. The next day I had roast beef I'd give it 4 stars and recommend either, today I had the fried chicken everyone has been bragging about I think it would have been excellent but it was cooked dry. Otherwise service was great all three days it is clean and reasonably priced. I would give it 5 stars had my chicken not been overcooked but 2 out of three (meals) ain't bad.

Stopped here twice on a recent vacation destination to Crossville,TN. Dinner~ Dinner was OK, my wife's steak was way under cooked but there featured chicken livers were excellent. And the catfish I had was by far awesome. Brunch~ Nothing that meets the eyes of omg i have t have just mediocre sandwiches but there Chicken Strips are amazing I would go back there for just that. Friendly staff for the most part just very straightforward leaving you with the feeling of hurry up and eat, pay and get out.

Map location is not accurate. Located west of I-75, not east. This is a local, down-home place. Don't expect fancy, but everyone is friendly. I have been coming to the area on business for several years, but this was my first visit to Golden Girls based on a recommendation from a colleague. The Mexican omelet was quite good, with no skimping on the jalapeños. It was served hot. The coffee was pretty good, and the service fast. I like a place that serves breakfast all day.

The waitress was absolutely terrible. She ignored our table for most of our visit. The food was also of a very low quality. Some things had been frozen, others canned. If I ever have the ability to time travel, it will be to come back to this day and avoid this cesspool of an eatery like the plague. Heed my words and eat elsewhere.

I had a great dinner special, fried chicken livers, fried okra, and mashed taters. Very friendly, only the potatoes were cold. Finished with slice of cocoanut creme pie. So much fun.. And great company.

We are traveling and used yelp to find Golden girls. Nice country log cabin & staff is friendly. My husband had the breakfast for his dinner and it was cooked fresh and it was good. I had the special of the evening and it had been cooked a long time before it was served to me. I couldn't eat most of my dinner. The okra was soggy with grease. I was asked how my dinner was but what could they do? We were on the road and needed to have a quick dinner. I really couldn't wait to have another dinner cooked.

If you want a good breakfast at a good price- GO. The food is good- real good. And you get your money's worth. I still need to try the lunch/dinner menu. But for breakfast you need to try it.

I wish I had eaten elsewhere. This was my least favorite restaurant I have eaten at in a long, long while. The service was good and the decor is fine. The problem I had was with the food. Ordered: Pot Roast - Grade F - The meat tasted old and like it had been boiled in water. The roast included baby carrots and potatoes boiled in water. The gravy tasted like box gravy mix. So, after all the components were boiled separately, the bland gravy was poured over it. Philadelphia Cheese Steak - Average - nothing special

This is some down home cooking....we really enjoyed our meal, and the prices are so inexpensive. The pot roast was very tender and tasty. The fried okra was better than Cracker Barrel. The Mac n Cheese was tasty too...The Waitress was friendly and she was very attentive.

it's exactly what you would expect it to be. it's not fancy, it's not foodie, but holy wow are the chicken strips awesome!

A great place for breakfast, and they serve the breakfast menu all day long. Nothing really spectacular on the menu, but then I've never had anything that was really bad either. Service is usually pretty good, and it's always clean. Prices are pretty reasonable.

The food here was just OK. If you're looking to fill your belly, this place will do the trick. Just don't expect to be wowed.

Instant potatoes and thick salty gravy from a mix. I really thought I was going to get some great food in the traditional southern style. What I got was straight from the restaurant supply store. The cucumber and onion salad was very nice and I enjoyed the rolls. The child's meal was just just frozen strips and fries. Service was friendly and efficient so no complaints there. The price was certainly inexpensive but the food wasn't worth a higher price. This was a mediocre diner at best and is not the southern sweet spot I was expecting. I travel through the area several times a year and I will avoid this place.

Everything was very good. You feel like you're eating at someone's house. We ordered both breakfast and dinner meals, great portions!

Down home country cooking at very reasonable prices very close to the Interstate and it was the only non-chain restaurant I noticed in the area. It was a good choice. Each day there is a special or two and it comes with two sides and a roll or cornbread for $5.99. I had the catfish and my daughter had the broasted chicken breast. My other daughter chose the chicken finger salad and she loved it and couldn't eat it all. My son got.....(I know this is a huge surprise if you follow my reviews)...chicken fingers. If you're ever en route to or from Gatlinburg from Kentucky this is a great place to stop for breakfast or lunch. Well, or if you live in that area, it's a great choice.

Visited here in June 2010. Stumbled upon this restaurant on the way home from vacation. I ordered the broasted chicken and it was averagve. My sides were cucumbers and onions, and mashed potatoes and gravy. If you are looking for a friendly, fast and affordable meal, this is a good place.

We have dinner here every time we pass through the area. I love their broasted hicken, they have lots of good old fashined home cooked dishes, and the desserts are fantastic. Always fast, friendly service.

I always find it odd when the desserts cost more than an entree, in this case the Red velvet cake out-priced the burger. This time it was worth it though as the dessert was truly the best part of hte meal. Fried mushrooms, grilled (dry) trout and a big burger were sampled. The cornbread is what you'd expect, sweet and cooked in cast iron, mac & cheese nothing special. Stop in for dessert on the way to or from Norris Lake.

It's a hangout for local adults - mostly middle-aged and older. Standard country or home cooking fare and maybe a little better than Cracker Barrel. The food's not bad but nothing I've ever eaten here was memorable. I've always thought the prices were a little high for what you get. We only go here when we are meeting someone who grew up here and likes the place.

So my friends and I stopped here on our way to Lexington from Atlanta. It's just about half way between the two. A nice little place and the only original restaurant it looked like. The staff was very friendly though they need to get more than one bathroom. The line got backed up and we had to go to the gas station. I order Broasted chicken which is a fancy way of saying fried. It was good as were the mashed potatoes, corn and bread. Overall it was a good meal.

For years I've been wanting to come to this restaurant. Whenever I am on I-75 visiting my family in Georgia, I see the sign and just passed through. This year I made the effort dining in on a late afternoon for lunch. Golden Girls Restaurant has nothing to do with the actual television show, but just had to dine here because of the name, good reviews and the fact that I love diners/family restaurants. This is located off I-75 close to the Tennessee/Kentucky border which is 0.2/0.3 miles off the exit. It's next to Arby's and a hotel. I didn't know what to expect of this place when I pulled up. It was a cabin like building. When I went inside, I was greeted by elderly women working there. I had a great feeling that I was already going to like this place. The front is a kitchen (before you are seated to the dining area). They don't do the actual cooking there, but it feels like you are at home. The décor is country style (laced curtains and nostalgic cooking ware) mixed with Tennessee sports memorabilia. I was seated right away. My server was super sweet. I just got a water, but already knew what I wanted to order. I got the scrambled eggs (2) with 3 pieces of bacon and 2 biscuits with gravy (you get your choice of grits, toast or biscuits) for only $4.45! What a deal! My food was out within 10 minutes. It was delicious, especially the biscuits which was fresh (not hard or crumbly) and bacon was not too greasy. It's a family restaurant with a taste of diner quality food! Besides breakfast, they do serve lunch and dinner. They have salads, hamburgers, country fried steak, chicken fingers, homemade desserts and more. Restaurant and bathrooms are clean. They give you a ticket/bill at y and you pay up front. Accept credit cards. I'm so glad I finally got to eat here! They food is so good and on top of that, it's cheap!!! If you are traveling on I-75, I recommend you stop here! I had a great experience. Instead of stopping at a Krystals or Subway, I will now dine here every time I visit my parents in Georgia.

Stopped here on the way to Gatlinburg. Delicious southern food, cozy atmosphere with excellent service. We had the broasted chicken with green beans and mashed potatoes and the grilled tenderloin with cole slaw. Chicken was super moist and crispy breading. Grilled tenderloin did not need a knife, very tender. Mashed potatoes and cole slaw were delicious, but the green beans were average.

An average dining experience. My buddy and I ordered the country fried steak. Service was fast- maybe too fast. They came out in less than 5 minutes. Probably cooked ahead or nuked. Gravy was bland but the onion/cucumber salad was nice and refreshing. My friend's okra was very good or do he says. I have never enjoyed it. The atmosphere could have been livened up a bit both with some music and better air circulation. A hot day all over these parts but the ceiling fans were all off.
