Tako Yaki is not an especially good grill-top style hibachi restaurant. That being said, it is the best hibachi restaurant of its kind in Cleveland (because it's the only one). It's definitely one of the special-occasion places in town. It can be fun to watch your chicken, steak, or shrimp sizzle in front of you, but if you've gone to a similar restaurant in Chattanooga, you won't have the same experience. There are a couple lively cooks, but most of them are pretty mild as far as entertainment goes (which is part of what you are paying for). You get a lot on your plate, but for the quality, it isn't worth the price. It's understandable that each chef has their own style, but that shouldn't mean quality wavers. There is also very little consistency in taste. Everything from meat to veggies to rice had a different flavor every time I've visited. Sometimes it's great, sometimes it's... Eh. The sushi doesn't have the best taste, but again, it's probably the best sushi in Cleveland. The texture of the sushi never seems to be quite right and the fish doesn't taste fresh. However, I would say it's worth a visit on Mondays and Sunday's for the half price sushi deal. Honestly, the service is typically a bit awkward. Sometimes, seemingly, the servers don't totally understand what their doing (like where their section is, or how to split checks). Again, props for having something that no one else has in Cleveland. When you're craving hibachi and don't have time to drive to Chattanooga, Tako Yaki will be there for us!

Our family of eight had an excellent hibachi dinner last night. The grandkids loved the entertaining way our chef prepared the meals and the adults all commented how good the food tasted. Food quality was excellent and the service was very prompt. We'll be back---though we don't do the hibachi very often.

Went here for lunch - A bit over priced and long wait even though there was not many people there. The sushi was not so good because the rice was hard - the bento box or whatever it was had soggy breaded chicken and was not so good.

Had dinner here last nigh and it was very good. The servers were right there to keep our drinks filled and the chefs are very entertaining. The food is excellent!

Not the worst but far from the best. Always burned veggies (after 4 times there we'd had enough of that). The steak wasn't bad but not the best by far, the shrimp is pretty good, my husband liked the chicken, and the sushi was meh at best. The show isn't bad but not worth the price when there's better food to be had. Save your money, skip the show, and go to Kumo AsianGarden just up the road for far superior food, a more expansive menu, and the BEST sushi in Cleveland by far.

Food is hit or miss. We used to love it but it all depends on the chef. Lunch is a great value.

Not a fan of this restaurant compared to other Hibachi restaurants in the Chattanooga/Cleveland area.

My favorite place for sushi and sake around my hometown. Wish they had a bit more bar seating or booths for that matter. I've also had the hibachi which is really good too.

Best hibachi in the south! Yes, I'm aware that's like claiming a place has the best BBQ in Kenya, but this place is good. Consistently tasty. Lunch prices are a steal. Best part, my two little kids are mesmerized by the action quadrupling their attention span!

Great! Absolutely wonderful everything!

Pretty good, but not the best...it normally take up to an hour to be in and out. If they wouldn't make you wait so long to fill tables then it would get 4 stars

It's so good! If you want to spend less and eat faster ask for the dining room. The show is cool but not after 5 times :) Food is always worth going. Sometimes I order and get it to go on the way home from work. The salad dressing is so yummy!
