Pizza
Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Very middle of the road pizza place. On the plus side, VERY friendly service - I really felt like I was welcome there. Decor/atmosphere is pretty generic family-friendly restaurant - plastic-y booths and chairs, tacky neon along the walls, etc. Pizza was fine - sauce was very good, toppings were of average portions but seemed quality enough, though the crust wound up being chewier than I generally like. Probably a fine place to bring the kids, but the pizza was no better than any of the big chains.

Nice change of pace for "non-chain" pizza. I appreciate their use of good cheese, and fresh ingredients. My husband works near this restaurant, occasionally I make a request for Gondolier Pizza as oppose to the local chains.

Horrible. Horrible. If you've eaten at other Gondolier restaurants, don't go here. Menu isn't even the same. Gyro salad had nasty fake sausage on it for meat and a dump of mashed potatoes in it, plus large order was actually SMALL compared to other restaurants.

The crust on the pizza is awesome. My favorite Italian place anywhere. Especially when Manos cooks something special.

Just passing through town and decided I wanted some pizza but didn't want the usual franchise garbage you can get anywhere. I'm glad I stopped here. This is some of the best pizza I have ever had. What really makes it good is the crust. If you're in the area I would highly recommend it. The only complaint I have is the owner didn't seem like the the most friendly guy I've ever met.

A nice local place to grab a bite. Their food is relatively inexpensive, but all tastes about the same. This isn't necessarily a bad thing. I'd recommend their pasta over their pizza.

Wanted to try this place as I had heard this was the original Gondolier that has since expanded and franchised out. I like history and have been to the first McDonalds and the first Bob's Big Boy and the first Jack in the Box. So what the heck. Had a nice dining experience here and will return. They have a few items for a vegan or vegetarian to eat, but I noted the menu we were handed in the restaurant was missing at least one item that I saw on the online menu, the vegetarian hoagie. We started with the dinner salads and they were as one would expect. Everything was fresh and the dressing was good. We ordered the fried mushrooms with the marinara dipping sauce and this was very good. M-I-L ordered the Fetucini Alfredo and really liked it. We ordered a veggie pizza, hold the cheese. The pizza was a thinner crust, dry on the bottom, more like a traditional New York pizza. Which I like. Not very greasy at all. The crust had a nice taste and the right amount of char on it. Toppings were fine and the sauce was tasty. Extra star because the guy running the place is a Formula 1 fan. :) Service was great. The long haired dude was cool. :) Prices were very cheap to me. 3 of us ate for under $30 and had leftovers. Can't beat that.

Chicken dry and lacking supposed Greek flavor. Service below average. Brought soup out at same time as meal. Server forgot our drink order(water). Expected much more based on the reviews and overall rating.

Well..pretty basic... nothing special here... pie came our quick... nothing is unique about this pizza

Another Cleveland Classic. Great pizza and cheese sticks. The decor is the only thing that lacks here now. Just update that or even build a stand alone building and I'd easily rate it 5.

The food is very good. We especially like the pizza. Our only complaint is they are very stingy with the toppings. We ask for extra of a topping, and have been charged for the extra, but we never get it. We point it out and they say "That is extra." Very frustrating! So because of this flaw in the service I will rate them a 3.

First things first: the soups are to DIE FOR. You've never tasted anything like them. I used to work at Panera, and people went ape over their soups. What they didn't know was that the soups came frozen in large plastic bags. In the morning the employee plops the bag in a pot of hot water. This is how pretty much every chain restaurant does soups. The soups at the Gondolier are in a completely different league. Next: the pizza. This is the best pizza you will ever have in East Tennessee, probably in the entire southeast. Everything about it is fresh and tasty. If you put a napkin underneath your slice, it will be clean and dry no matter how long you leave it there. I've been to all the big-city pizza places, and this is the real deal. Most of the entrees taste like they were made fresh that morning, and the guy I talked to (I think he's the owner?), claims they were. He's clearly proud of what the place is serving. My friends who took me to this place claim it's a local tradition, and I can definitely see why. This is one of the best restaurants I've ever been to, and the people of Cleveland are lucky to have such a unique and tasty restaurant in their fine city.

This is the most amazing restaurant! Their soup is fabulous! I would recommend this place to everyone. The owner and manager are great! The waiters and waitresses are good and know what they are doing. Except this time the waitress forgot to get us the pita bread with melted butter but it was ok cuz we had enough that we ordered anyways. But next time we won't forget because we live the pitas with melted butter even if it's unhealthy and we shouldn't have it! LOL! I had a bad experience at the Gondoliers in Ocoee and the manager at this Gondolier in Cleveland made that wrong more than right! I am not only satisfied but it was a pleasure to have our meal here in Cleveland, TN! I like this one better because the other one in Ocoee doesn't have the fabulous homemade soup! But if the other one in Ocoee straitens up then we won't mind dining there either. :) Thank you Gondoliers!! Ahavah and Shalom!

Was in town looking for good pizza. I was told about Gondoliers. The staff was pleasant. The table was comfortable. I got a small pizza with pepperoni and bacon. It was done just right. Chewy crust, tasty cheese and a tangy sauce. Not sure what type of oven they use, but I think there was a smoky flavor to the crust. I will be back. I'm going to try the chicken parmasen next time!

Great service, good food. Nothing fancy here or over the top. Casual place, but great for family and kids. At the main parking area for the Cleveland greenway, so you can walk off your dinner after stuffing yourself.
