Decided to try this place out based on the reviews and was severely disappointed. When you first walk in the wine storage is full of garbage and boxes and looks disheveled. It just seemed like it could be a beautiful area to look at while waiting for a table, but instead it's appears to be someone's place to throw unwanted trash. THE DRINKS: I started the evening off ordering a dirty martini which when I tasted it was a very sweet. I was confused so I had my date taste it who also said it was sweet. When I told my server, she smelled it and remarked that it had a sweet smell. I asked that it be taken back and have another made. Well, the bartender who is also the manager decided to argue with me that the drink was not sweet and it was my fault for not liking dirty martinis (except I have been drinking these for years). Honestly it tasted like she had just mixed it in a dirty mixer and the previous drink she made was a fruity drink. They made me taste their olive juice (saying that their olive juice could be what I don't like) which turned out to taste just like every other olive juice. Finally after having to listen to people unprofessionally argue with me I finally got another drink which tasted normal, thankfully. THE APPETIZERS: I ordered two apps which both were a huge disappointment. When I expressed my concern with the server about taking two bites and not enjoying them (even though I have ordered these apps from several other places and loved them) she got the manager/bartender. The manager/bartender did nothing but argue. No apologies, no "can I get you something else you might like," NOTHING. She eventually left and said she was going to get the owner. Well, we waited for quite awhile and decided that from our experience so far it wouldn't be wise to order entrees. While we continued to wait for the owner the server brought us the check and was charging us FULL PRICE for EVERYTHING. Even the apps that we sent back they were charging us for. It was astonishing! I never expect the bill to be covered, but to send something back after two bites, have the staff argue with you, and THEN be charged full price for what you sent back....now that is a poor way to run a business. THE OWNER: After waiting for several more minutes we realized the owner didn't care to hear our concerns with the experience and wasn't coming to talk to us. It was a slap in the face. I have never been treated so poorly by staff. Food mistakes I can get over, sometimes it happens. But to have the entire staff argue with you and not care about your dining experience was horrible. OVERALL: I really would NOT recommend this place. The staff is unprofessional and rude; the food is NOT worth the prices. It is very obvious that they don't take pride in their food or restaurant. Staff: 1 star Food: 1 star *Would not eat here again*

Nice atmosphere and the food sampler we had was quite tasty. While there taping, it was very unfortunate that the owners didn't speak to us. Nevertheless, Fresh Seafood in Cleveland is a possibility, and you step away from a small town, into a niche corner of a big city with Catch. Stopped here for lunch while they were serving Sunday brunch and was not disappointed. Seated right away, service was great, food was excellent. We had the pork ribeye steak, eggs, diced home fries. Taste was fantastic and plating good. Decor is neat and modern.

It is a good alternative when you live in cleveland and don't feel like the heaviness of bald headed bistro. It's mainly louisiana cuisine, good establishment, good folks, very chill. They also have a cool little bar that is in a seperate room from the diner. Sea bass is awesome.

Great experience in Cleveland Tn. Decor is great. SERVICE WAS EXCELLENT. The shrimp gumbo was a great starter. Creme Brule was perfect. You will not be disappointed.

Went here tonight for my one year wedding anniversary. Didn't really know what to expect (well besides seafood of course) very pleasantly surprised by the quiet atmosphere. Started with a order of calamari which came with aioli, and marinara sauce both of which were fantastic. Entrée was the Peach Bourbon Salmon which to date for me was the best piece of fish I've ever eaten. Ordered the cheesecake for dessert and the word "congrats" was spelled out in caramel on the plate, some times it's the attention to details like this that can make or break a place, as for me I'm already planning my return trip.

Kind staff and good food, although a bit pricier than Cafe Roma. Their lobster bisque is -- as all bisque is -- amazing.

FANTASTIC food but very expensive. Not for the cheap date night, but perfect for the lavish/romantic date night. I've never had a dish there that didn't make me want to hug the chef.

I really didnt find catch worthy of 4 stars but not quite 3 either. more like 3.75. wish yelp would give the option of a half star, but they dont so anyway... we had fried green tomatoes for an app & they were delicious. now for the entrees, for the price, they dont come with a salad? nope. take off a half star for that itself. My boyfriend had the mako shark which was a special, wasnt on the menu. He was very pleased with shark but the sides with it were not as good. The bok choy, not something I would imagine would appeal to alot of people, very different. It did nothing for us. His rice was good, it was sweet but almost cold. Now for my entree, I had lobster mac n cheese. It was good but just barely warm also. And there was maybe 10 peasize pieces of lobster. It would have worked for a side dish better than an entree. The bread they brought with meal was really good...the bartender also made an awesome dirty martini. The service was great and friendly. but we were also literally the only customers there. by the time we left at 6-ish pm only one other couple had came - this on a saturday night. also liked the atmosphere there, marine like, but not like red lobster, its more upscale decor. its hard to find non chain restaurants in the area so we will probably try again and order something different.

OK.....Cleveland, Tennessee...yes, Cleveland, TN...a seafood place in Cleveland, TN...so, normally, I would tell you that I would ALWAYS avoid a seafood restaurant in a land locked location (good people of Cleveland, please don't tell me about the Tennessee River, I get it) but I did not choose this place (and wouldn't have) as I was brought along for a business lunch. Walked in: 1) Attractive place, CHECK, 2) Really prompt and friendly service, CHECK, 3) ordered food (Blackened Mahi sandwich) which was very good. Actually the fish itself was really outstanding. Because it was so juicy the bread was kind of wilting, which I am sure the restaurant can figure out and absolutely didn't detract from the food for me. The guys I was with ordered the low country shrimp boil which actually looked way better than what I ordered so had to go through lunch with a bit of food jealousy (hate when that happens). If you are driving south on I-75 and want to avoid the fast food chains (please do that) and want to find a surprising gem in a nice town, which Cleveland is, then you really need to stop here. The place was not crowded when we were there, which is a good thing for great service....but I hope it doesn't mean Catch hasn't found a following. I sincerely hope that isn't true as it is the kind of place I root to succeed. I'll be back, good folks at Catch. I'd have given you 5 stars if the sandwich part of what I ordered really completed the outstanding meal we had. Great place.

When this restaurant first opened it was great. However, the last three times my wife and I have visited it's been absolutely terrible. We attempted to give it one more chance tonight, and once again they failed. First of all the menu online is not accurate. When you review the menu online and have something in your mind that you want when you arrive, it's very frustrating to be told " we don't have that anymore". I then ask for a salad wedge...a salad wedge for goodness sake..."we are out of that today" was the response. Then you ask the waiter what's the special, and he responds with "I think". Are you kidding me? Also no Oysters....and this is a seafood specialty place? I then choose the angus burger with mushrooms. Waiter responds with, "We most likely don't have mushrooms because we normally are always out". WTH? I should have known better when we were the 3rd customer at 7:15 on a Saturday evening. Oh, but they are expanding to accommodate private parties. Somebody's going to hate that investment decision in 6-12 months.

I'm very disappointed. Overall it wasn't a horrible experience, but the little things added up. I came at lunch and had the day's special, Mahi-Mahi with coconut scallops, and a cup of clam chowder. While I waited for my order I was listening to the music which was a nice touch. Not too loud, but then. The mix channel started playing "gangster rap." Being assaulted with four letter words and aggressive ideas is not something that I was looking for at a place that's to be classy. The soup was very good, and I could have gone for more. But then the entree came out. I found that the Mahi-mahi's flavor was flat and needed seasoning. The coconut scallops were tasty, but I have a strong suspicion that they may be a commercial frozen product and not scratch made. The entree came with mixed vegetables and rice. The rice was very undercooked to the point that I couldn't eat it. And lastly, for this to be a lunch special, my tab was higher than I would have paid for a dinner for two people at other places. I am leaving still hungry.

Exquisite wine, cocktails and food, at small town prices! We would gladly pay twice what these guys charge. Both the food and service were excellent. We had the pleasure of dining next to the lovely couple who we knew were on a 'free meal' mission that have posted the negatives dated 5/24/15. We've frequented this place for almost 3 years now and it is arguably one of the top restaurants in Cleveland...... consistently. It was obvious these folks were unhappy from the moment they sat on the cozy patio, and relentless in tormenting the server, who tried every way possible that we could see to please these tools. We had the oysters: fresh and fabulous, my wife had the Sea Bass that was as good as any we've had anywhere in the world. I had a bowl of the best gumbo ever (my usual). It's a shame that some people try and ruin a businesses good, hard earned reputation by tearing them down on sites like these. Visit The Catch and see for yourself. You'll be glad you did!

We went with a large party (10) last night. I will never go back and I will not recommend it to anyone - which I did to several persons (Canadians) several weeks ago. They got up and walked out, But to our experience, the Calamari was the best in Chattanooga, the service was fine, (the young man was well trained and handled a large table very well) but the entree (tilefish) was terrible - extremely small and over cooked - and the price ($29.95) was ludicrous. The sides were poorly chosen and very poorly prepared. They offered no bread. Perhaps the meat dishes are acceptable, but they push seafood! If you know anything about decent food I would suggest you know anything about good food I suggest you go somewhere else. The real problem is they really don't care!!

Went with a group of co-workers while visiting Cleveland. They had a very nice half portion menu offering items at a discounted price on Monday nights. The food and service were both wonderful and I will definitely be returning to try additional menu items.

The food was okay, but the service was terrible. There were only two tables occupied, and it still took forty minutes to receive food after the order was placed. There are far better places in Cleveland to enjoy dinner. We will not be returning.

To say I was skeptical is an understatement. I mean, "fresh seafood" and Cleveland, TN, just don't seem to go together. So I reluctantly gave it a try almost resigned to the fact I would catch salmonella. I'm glad I was wrong! Outstanding. Great decor, good service, nice wine list and excellent food at reasonable prices. Certainly the best seafood spot in town, of course that's kind of like having the best sushi in El Paso or the best BBQ in San Francisco.

Great seafood - best in Cleveland (and it is SO hard to find good seafood around here...unless you consider Red Lobster or captain D's to be quality). I am originally from Gulf Coast Florida so I am pretty picky about seafood. The lobster Mac and cheese is wonderful! I love the peach bourbon glazed salmon as well. You can't go wrong with anything really. Fast service, quiet...no negatives :-)

What an amazing local treasure! The setting is lovely, service attentive and the food! The food was just amazing! Perfectly prepared fresh seafood dishes and the pork with black cherry sauce was to die for! And all that was before we got to the desserts that knocked our socks off! My parents just moved here, and I believe we've just found a local favorite place!

Catch Bar and Grill reserves a special spot on my foodie shelf after last nights experience. The Server : Initially took close to ten minuets to greet our table, which I'm usually ok with since I grew up in the business and know exactly what it's like to be in the weeds. However, she wasn't able to answer a single one of my questions, and then took an additional 10 minuets to get my date and I's drinks. Again, not a deal breaker, but did not leave a good impression. The Drinks : I ordered the house Pinot Grigio which was good. However, my date ordered an extra dirty martini which when brought, clearly had coconut shavings in the bottom of the glass. My girlfriend was then treated with a nice side of "Argumentative Server" and "Condescending Bartender" when she mentioned the sweet flavor. One full ordeal later, the staff finally got her another drink which was thankfully missing the tropical fruit. The Appetizers : We ordered the Smoked Salmon Dip and Fresh Oysters, which both did more than just disappoint. To start, I asked the server about the quality and freshness of the Oysters and was ensured that the Chef drives and hand picks them every couple of days. While initially excited about the prospect, I was ultimately mortified since the Oysters were not properly chucked, left in dirty water (not cleaned at all), and were oddly flipped over to reveal the less appealing side of the Oyster (odd presentation). I ultimately ended up doing something that I haven't done since my first few oysters years ago,...I had to use a cracker just to make them palatable! The salmon dip was generally (and I don't use this lightly) disgusting to both my date and I. While this may of been a preference, the dip was covered in a bath of oil and was served with SOGGY chips. I don't know about you, but I can't reconcile soggy chips with an oily dip. The Manager : At this point, I'm pretty annoyed and ask to speak to a manager. Unbeknownst to me, the afore mentioned bartender was also the manager. As expected, we were again treated with argumentative excuses and no real desire to shore up our initial experience. The Entrees : Remember the special spot on my foodie shelf? This is it. We didn't order any due to the lack luster food thus far and severely unprofessional staff. I can think of only one other time that I've had to walk away before eating my entree. The Owners : No idea. While we were told the owner was going to come by and talk to us, he never came after waiting several minutes. We were then told (almost verbatim) that he was busy with a large party. There was a large party in the room next to us, but they were very clearly done eating and just hanging out, almost ready to leave. Overall : Catch Bar and Grill clearly suffers from a pretentious culture that's not interested in the customer's experience or feedback. Their staff lacks any form of training, and I can only hope the Chef was on vacation,...because there's no pride in the food.
