This place was okay. Not to mention, the prices were ridiculous compared to the actual taste. I did like the nakji bokum here. it was really spicy and similar to what i ate back in LA. we also ordered the kimchi jigae and i was not pleased. it had a weird taste to it, almost like they used corn oil or added butter in it. i recommend sticking to the bbq here.

Man, I love the food here! I duck in here from time to time when I'm in the area if I need to take a break or make some calls. It is always quiet and has fantastic food! The last time I was up there, I asked the lady to make the kimchi stew so hot I would cry, and dear god, they complied. It was like spicy red hatred and I loved every bite. Oh the kimchi was fantastic and the pork belly slices were just fantastic. Absolutely lit me up. If nobody had been looking, I would have absolutely drank from the bowl. The sides were also fantastic, but I have never seen broccoli served as banchan - didn't really touch it. They also have some really good bulgogi - not too greasy and a great level of seasoning. The portion sizes are also great, too, even on the lunch menu. Service has been okay, they are friendly, but seem to disappear for periods of time, which can be a problem when you've splashed molten red death soup on your yellow shirt and need some napkins. Well worth checking out if you are in the area.

The service is terrible! Ordered the seafood pancake and it didn't have any seafood and when I told waitress she said you can't see it because it was chopped fine. Not! The ban chan was not fresh and no variety. When I asked to get dolsot bibimbap to go she said they don't do it to go. You have to eat it here. The other restaurants will accommodate this for me.

Food is good here. Just don't like the service. When we came here, there's only 2 servers and its lunch time. The waitresses made us feel that they don't appreciate you asking for something. I love the food, and maybe come back. But if I can go to some place else, I'll skip this. Servers don't need to be friendly but don't need to be rude either.

Great korean food! Awesome lunch prices.
(4)Stacey G.
I had the LA Kalbi and the meat was so tender and full of flavor! They had a handful of different banchans. It was $18 for my meal and I was definitely full of food. I think they are the only Korean place that's open on a Sunday, so that's a plus!
(4)Corrine S.
First time having Korean food and it was amazing. The second time it wasn't as good (the cut of meat) but the taste was great. It is a little in the pricy side but you get what you pay for. The meal itself includes a few sides that is served at the time of mean. My husband, son and I normally spend about $40 which includes an appetizer and our meal.
(4)Lady B.
I think this place is great. This is the third Korean rest I have tried in town. Beef bulgogi is tasty and the cut of meat is nice - not chewy or fatty like others. The banchan is tasty. They are accommodating with order alterations and give large portions. Def worth a try! Mandu was "eh."
(4)Leslie M.
Tried Korean food for the first time, so my opinion might not count. I ordered the spicy pork and chicken teriyaki, it was good. The service ;however, is horrible. I was afraid to ask for any recommendations, they're so rude and dry.
(2)Ally A.
pretty tasty korean food. PLUS, they seem to be the only korean joint open on sunday. i called in and ordered the bulgogi to-go. it normally comes with regular kimchee, but i asked for all cucumber kimchee, cuz that's how i roll. the portion of bulgogi was HUGE! i ate half (and i know the hubby will eat the leftovers tomorrow! bulgogi is one of those foods that heats up REALLY well). the meat was flavorful, but i think they went a little heavy on the soy sauce. but that doesn't say much, as i am not a huge fan of soy sauce. i've had better bulgogi, but that is cuz i'm lucky and wicked spoiled to have (a) had access to omah, my best girlfriends mother, who makes WICKED AWESOME korean grub and (b) to have actually been to korea. for bulgogi in the state of tennessee, it was about what i expected. the sides were good (pics on on here). broccoli, potato, radish kimchee and cucumber kimchee, all tasty. the broccoli was the least flavorful, but mostly cuz it just tasted like broccoli. the potato was good, cooked in what was likely soy, but not too much of it. i LOVE radish and cucumber kimchee, so those were both tasty. add a side of rice and dinner was done. i suggest finding a korean store and picking up some spicy red bean paste (for ALL korean food adventures...it is awesome mixed with rice) and some aloe water. the new koa store down the street has different flavors, like kiwi and pomegranate. it totally rounds out the meal. *disclaimer* i'm putting this place on here as 'cheap' because even tho i spent 12 bucks on this meal, it was MORE than enuf for two ppl.
(4)Ron D.
I've been here once and it was alright but not as good as everyone was telling me it would be. I will have to try back some other time. . 931-249-6598 .
(3)Panda B.
Waitress was friendly. The place was small and a bit run down. It was pretty much empty on a Saturday night dinner time. The food was okay. The clear noodles were delish but a bit undercooked. The fish soup was good and flavorable. A huge disappoinment on bulgogi though. It tasted like regular beef stir fried. Bulgogi has a very distinctive taste and MoMo's bulgogi didn't have that.
(3)Sandy L.
The kalbi combo for 2 people is not too bad. A variety of food comes out and it's actually pretty tasty. If you want to eat Korean food, this is a much better place to go then New Korea restaurant. However, having a Korean parent who makes the food at home is way better! :)
(3)Ted C.
The food is surprisingly, pretty good. The service is typically, just 'eh.' The menu items they have are actually pretty authentic and served in an interesting array. My buddy has never tried Korean food and since he helped me move in I couldn't let him go empty handed. My gf and I picked this place mostly because of the name; as an aside how cute is a name like Momo? There's a special dinner for two where you get to pick some dishes-grilled meat, a choice between seafood or a pajeon, as well as fried dumplings. All pretty standard so we went with that. However, since there were 3 of us I asked if we could expand the dinner for two to 3 people-our waitress was a little thrown off by this so the owner/manager came and after speaking with her about it she said it wouldn't be a problem and we could get an extra order of meat. Everything was great, seriously the meat was cooked in the back but it was seasoned right, a little too sweet in my opinion but still not bad. The problem was that when the check came she charged us for two dinners for two. I figured maybe charging was 1.5 was the price, but she charged us 2X and we didn't even get a double portion of meat! Inexcusable! I'll definitely try the other restaurants in the area before coming back here.
(2)Naty G.
For my first experience with Korean food I was pretty pleased and enjoyed my meal very much...i ordered dumplin soup which we all agreed was awesome...i would come back just for that... then kobe ribs which were tasty but not what was hyped up to be....My husband ordered some sort of korean bacon to be cooked on the table...he lived in Korea a few years and says the quality of the meat overall should have been better for what they charged and were missing some side dishes he expected...It was pretty pricey...so thats why i wouldnt give them five stars. The service was friendly and very attentive . I wouldn't say they're fantastic but they make for a nice "authentic enough for me" experience...I would recommend...
(4)Richard S.
I went to this place drunk and even than it tasted like shit. I guess I did not order the right things. But the place is small and run down.

Visited yesterday for first time...got the beef bulgoli box lunch special. Really good for the price. My dad got the bulgoli & chicken teriyaki combo...all meat and a Ton of rice, but he loved it. I was really surprised how good the teriyaki was (would never have thought to order that at Korean restaurant myself). Everyone was super nice & the woman serving us brought extra daikon (my favorite) & kimchi side dishes for free! We will definitely be going back!!
(4)Rusty S.
Unbelievable. Better than a Katusa snack bar after a Soju hangover.

Last night my brother, my sister-in-law and I decided to try MoMo's as our first for Korean BBQ. Having never had Korean food before I did not have a proper measuring stick to weigh against so I simply used my senses. My brother and I ordered the bulgogi beef and my sister-in-law ordered the spicy pork bulgogi. When the meal arrived I was already disappointed. The food was sloppily plated and our "sides" were a few pieces of kimchi style vegetables on multiple separate plates which made the table feel crowded. The bulgogi was piled onto a black serving plate with an annoyingly large slice of decorative carrot that did nothing to allude to a better platig experience. The meat was cooked well and very tender, which was nice. Albeit it tasted so simply, it tasted as if they had marinated it in bland teriyaki sauce from the Wal*Mart down the road. The rice was cooked well but had zero salt. Mixing the rice and the bulgogi and adding a dose of soy sauce was the only way to make this meal moderately tasteful. The spicy pork bulgogi was actually a bright light at the end of the tunnel, it was spicy but you could tell that it was marinated in what may be authentic Korean spices and styles. The restaurant had all the charm a run down Korean BBQ joint can have, the waitress wasn't rude but wasn't nice and certainly didn't deserve a large tip by any stretch of the imagination. Possibly the worst part of this experience was the price. Fifteen dollars! I paid fifteen dollars for at best seven dollar food. They give you a good amount but by no means is it fifteen dollars good; I could have gotten better tasting food for half the price at any Chinese restaurant. Altogether, Momo's was a huge disappointment, and I would not recommend anyone to give them their patronage.

A friend told me of this place- and then I decided to look up the reviews before going to try it! I ordered beef bulgogi and it looks just like the picture shows- the portion is large for one person not to mention all of the sides that were included! I was prepared to arrive and ignore the "service" aspect of the experience b/c of the previous reviews- but to my surprise we had excellent service ! All of our needs were met in addition to our drinks filled and refilled as we needed. The experience was enjoyable and the atmosphere was inviting. As far as the food is concerned- it was my first Korean experience so I had nothing to compare it to - but I will say that I enjoyed the spicy zuchini and the rice- along with the bean sprouts the best- for my sides- the beef had great flavor and my husband stole it to eat with his meal too! I think we will return to this restaurant and possibly explore more menu items ! !!!
(4)Diana H.
We went there right as it opened at11 am and wanted to order off of the lunch menu as the waitress told us we were not allowed to order of the lunch menu and had to order off of the dinner side . We were sitting there not even for a minute looking at the menu she came back asking us what we wanted to order we told her we weren't ready as we weren't allowed to order from the lunch menu although it's lunch.. She came back a minute later again so I ordered my food at double the cost of the lunch menu price. The taste of the blulgogi was watered and at most some parts dry. The kimbob was 9 bucks and hard to even swallow as dry as the rice was. My son ordered a kimchi pancake that was soggy beyond anything. Overall the food itself as I cook it myself it is really honestly nothing to get excited about the waitress is way too clingy and needs some training. Their prices are ridiculous and if they offer lunch menus they should honor them and not shove their dinner menus down a customers throat during lunch. I only stayed due to my son wanting to try this place out. Now we have and we've learned our lesson. Over priced as well. For the love of god read reviews before going there to save yourself disappointment and your money.

Def worth the drive to clarksville to get some authentic Korean food. I dined on a Sunday afternoon and the service was quick. I had the beef bulgogi and was not disappointed.
(4)Blue O.
I've only had Korean food once before coming to MoMo's, and based on the previous restaurant I'm giving this one four stars. My hubs took me for lunch because he said it was the closest to real Korean food (he was in Korea for a year) that Clarksville has to offer. He raved about the BBQ ribs. which I thought were edible but nothing spectacular like everybody makes them out to be. The fried rice was delicious though, probably the best I've had in clarksville. The kimchi...well, I think kimichi is one of those things that you either like, or you don't. I liked the cabbage one with the red spicy stuff on it, but as far as the other stuff goes, it just had tooooooooo much sesame oil for my tatse and was awful in my opinion. The lady was very sweet and actually smiled and was attentive, which is more than I can say for the korean restaurant down the road. I would go here again, and next time try the bulgogi.
(4)Courtnee T.
Had a Korean food urge and usually the best ones are outside Army bases. This was a good choice. I had the Yakimando, beef bulgogi and spicy pork bulgogi. All were good and tasted pretty authentic. They have the white pickled slaw appetizer and I love it! You know this is good if all the Korean families come here for dinner. Will come back again!
(4)Ali N.
Momo's is watered-down Korean food at best, IMHO. Maybe because I am half-Korean myself and my mother is an amazing cook who made things like bulgogi and kalbi all the time, I was spoiled by it. Or maybe it was because I was so excited at the thought of bringing my husband to eat some of the food I grew up with. But regardless of the reason, I was sadly disappointed when the food came out. I looked at the broccoli on the table and wondered, "What the hell side-dish is this?! This isn't Korean!" The spicy pork bulgogi wasn't nearly spicy enough (The unfriendly, ill-mannered waitress certainly didn't ask how I wanted it cooked.) and most of the meat was dry. It was a lot of food, true, but after the first five bites, I was ready to go. The prices are to be expected for a Korean restaurant, but most of the ones I've been to in the past at least offered quality food to make up for it. In addition to the bad food and worse service, the inside is populated by long, ugly tables reminiscent of a chow hall or school cafeteria, and the booths have weirdly uncomfortable seats. (First time I've even noticed seating in an establishment.) NOT recommended to anyone looking for authentic Korean cuisine.
(1)Krys G.
I'm scoring this kind of low because I really don't know if the food I had was good or not. I mean what the hell is Korean food supposed to taste like? LOL We didn't know what to order - everything seemed strange to us. We went for lunch - not very busy at all - there were two workers picking at a pile of bean sprouts on a table in the corner - that was strange. We ordered beef - it came on a huge platter accompanied with bowls of cold pickled things. Not for us at all - the meat tasted strange and the pickled things tasted even more strange - would only go back if accompanied by a friend from Korea.

I had the LA Kalbi and the meat was so tender and full of flavor! They had a handful of different banchans. It was $18 for my meal and I was definitely full of food. I think they are the only Korean place that's open on a Sunday, so that's a plus!
