I heard a rumor that a sandwich shop was opening up on Dover Rd. It was a little difficult to find but it is in Westown Shoppes Center next door to Groomingdales. My daughter and I stopped in to check it out. The decor was kinda like you're in an island food hut. It was bigger on the inside than it looked from the outside. There was plenty of seating and found out they had karaoke on friday nights at the same location. There was a variety of sandwiches on the menu hung high on the wall. It was light and airy inside and kinda cozy. I ordered the philly cheese steak and a turkey/cheese for my daughter. The manager ( Maryann) is really nice and a great conversationalist. Now I'm not from philly, and not sure how the cheese steaks are up there but the one they have here was really good. She asked me if i wanted potato chips or yuca chips? Yuca?? I was familiar with the root but not in chip form. And ordered a water. They do have various other drinks, pepsi products, coconut waters and beer. The yuca chips were freaking AMAZING!!! They were seasoned just right and probably healthier than regular potato chips. I could have ate a bucket of those things! I also ordered coleslaw. This wasn't just ordinary cole slaw. It was sweet but had a kick to it. I don't typically like spicy stuff but this was very interesting on the palate. Sweet, tangy and spicy at the same time. It was odd but really good as well. You'll have to ask her what her "secret ingredient" is. :) Ruben is the owner and cook. His nickname is Cuto and he makes a Cuto sandwich that has peanut butter on it with turkey, Genoa Salami, and Cappicola. That will be my next sandwich just cuz it sounds like a pregnancy sandwich with the pickles and peanut butter. I was told that it was actually good. They also have a variety of kid sandwiches too. All in all i think it was a great little sandwich shop! Good food, great service and good conversation. I will definitely go back so i can try the Cuto sandwich. :)
