Best sushi in Clarksville...hands down! Clean and Classy.
(5)FoodieFrien D.
Hands Down BEST sushi in Clarksville! Don't let the location (in a strip mall next to Papa Johns and a Wine store) deter you its a fantastic place. Its small and quaint inside and great for a nice night of sushi! They have a killer sweet potato roll!
(5)Codie C.
Best sushi in Clarksville. They have good lunch specials too.
(5)Ken A.
All I can say is WOW, Tony and his team create a great environment! Whether it is date night, or family night they always accommodate us. Awesome sushi and sashimi. Service is amazing as well!! Fav: Broadway Roll
(5)Ian C.
This place is easily the best place to get sushi in Clarksville. The staff is knowledgeable, the chef is skilled, and the fish is always fresh. The clam soup is suberb, but the highlight for me is always the seaweed salad. I cannot recommend it highly enough. Seating is a little limited and it's usually crowded but what do you expect for a small space with such high quality?

Tony does both traditional and Asian fusion renditions of sushi well. Considering this restaurant is in a landlocked state with horrible access to Japanese food suppliers (most of whom are either in NY or CA) Tony does an amazing job with Fujiyama. With traditional sushi, Tony won't serve it if it's out of season of he can't achieve the best presentation. This means idiots who demand ikura (salmon roe) and shellfish out of season are out of luck. He knows what the traditional cuts are and more than capable of pulling off a hat trick with a substitute ingredient if required. With Asian fusion rolls, Tony is a virtuoso. Constantly experimenting, and very open to suggestions. If you want a roll done in a certain way, he'll do it. His talent is in anticipating what the whole of it will taste like and adjusting flavoring as required. Tony's very good; he's made rolls I never imagined possible. Complaining about volume served for money? Sushi is not a buffet food. Complaining about flavor? Are you totally ignorant of the need to cleanse the palette with the ginger and hot tea? Eat sushi out of sequence? Smoke, dip, chug cola, or eat extremely spicy foods all the time and wreck your taste buds? Eat somewhere else. This is the best Japanese restaurant probably in all of TN outside of Nashville, and a favorite for Japanese expatriates far from home; it might as well be an izakaya. Tony has the skill to work the counter in Westwood of the Lower East Side, the ambiance is two thumbs up, even the parking is decent. Tony, when you read this, the only reason this review is 4 stars is because you have a server with the attitude of a prison guard on staff.

We stopped on our way through town based in the other reviews. There were many reviews saying how good the sushi is here. We ordered the teriyaki chicken and chicken soba. The chicken completely lacked a flavor at all. Even in the soup it was flavorless. After adding hot sauce and soy sauce to each dish they improved but it was still not a satisfying meal. We should have just gotten the sushi. I gave the restaurant 3 stars because the atmosphere was nice, service was prompt and courteous, and I only tasted a small portion of what they offer. They're sushi menu was pretty large, too. I guess what I'm getting at is that I would try this place again if I'm in the area, but I'll be ordering sushi. Hopefully I can give then another star then.

I am an east coast girl and being plopped in the middle of the US has been detrimental to my sushi consumption. Good sushi is had to find in Tennessee. The ONLY place that I have found good sushi is here at Fuji Yama... and I love it. The entire menu is authentic Japanese. If you are not a sushi fan, the noodle dishes are fantastic. Zaru Soba is a personal favorite. AND my sinful indulgence there is the red bean ice cream (try it in the tempura ice cream - it is to die for!) The atmosphere is relaxing. I am never in a hurry when I walk through the front doors. I often go there alone when it is not dinner / lunch rush and read a book in a booth while eating sushi. No one ever rushes me. Everyone is exceptionally pleasant and polite. Be sure to eat here!! Just an aside: I personally created a roll here called the Amanda Roll for when I have my hard core blue crab cravings. Try it out next time you eat here.
(5)Devan W.
Best sushi in Clarksville, hands down. Best sushi I've had in a landlocked state. Service is great.
(4)L C.
Sushi was good and came out quickly. The quality of fish and freshness were both better than fair. Service is not courteous in that we were finished and were talking but was asked to move to the bar because of a wait. As we walked out there were at least two tables open and no one waiting. It seems like try to rush people out. Only good if you are looking to get good sushi and not spend much time talking or enjoying company. Not recommended for a date.

Been here three times... The first time we actually had a bad experience, we thought we got sick, but we tried it again eventually and I'm not sure now it was the sushi because both other times we were really pleased. I'd recommend this place not for simple sushi necessarily but for their big crazy rolls if you're craving something like that... They have a big inventive selection and add new specials to their board all the time. We actually prefer this place to go, because there's a large nice liquor store next door, so we can shop there while we wait and enjoy with our sushi at home.
(4)Megan T.
My new favorite place to eat sushi and sashimi! They have otoro here! I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of their fish, as well as their selection. My son would eat Ikura by the bucketful if I let him, so I appreciate that their serving of the salmon roe on the sushi roll is generous. We also love the udon here, it's almost as good as the fresh stuff and sure beats the frozen udon I buy in the Asian food store. I would like to see more selection for the toppings on the udon. The only downside is that their menu is not 100% correct, my husband is Japanese and found a few mistakes but hey, we are in America right? :)
(5)Lorilee R.
Such a yummy place where you can escape the crazy world and enjoy great food & wine!
(5)Bonnie B.
I'm from SoCal and love sushi but it is really hard to find good places out here.. This is my second time coming here it was very good both times I would go back if I wasn't moving to Hawaii
(4)Christopher H.
Very small and cozy place, ~14 tables or so. Dimly lit and awfully clean. They really strive to make this place upscale; from the service, to the quality of the materials they menu is printed on, to the plating garnishes. It's a nice change from the hordes of diners creating the jet-like roar that most Clarksville restaurants have. The food is good. It's not fabulous, but it's really good. Everything that is supposed to be hot is always hot, everything supposed to be cold is always cold. Last night I had a beef yakisoba that was enjoyable. I've had sushi there several times and it's always very good (not fabulous, but very good). It's definitely not cheap. Last night we had 4 sushi rolls, my yakisoba, and tempura vegetables and it was $55 (before tip). They do have sushi combos, but they're vague on what you get. We really enjoy getting a variety of specialty sushi rolls, I wish they had some sort of deal when you buy more, e.g. 1 for 10, 2 for 17.50, 4 for 30, etc... Mind you, we don't mind paying for quality, but we believe you can get sushi of like quality at a better price in town. All in all, we still really like Fujiyama. We love the atmosphere, service is always on point, the place is clean, the food is good. We'll keep going back.

OMG- This place is awesome! I went there today with my hubby (who likes sushi, but feels it is overpriced) for a lunch date. Walk in and immediately I am impressed- I love small places that are dark-lit like this. The 2 waitresses were super friendly (and kept our water glasses filled) and the place was really clean. The sushi bar was tempting to sit at, but we picked a booth instead. I was impressed with how varied their menu was. But the best part- the sushi. Hands down the best spider roll I have ever had. The other rolls were good too. The plating was so nice and the price was great too (my most expensive roll was 7.95, which I got for 1/2 price with my coupon). The food that other patrons had looked and smelled yummy too. Overall, we spent $30 for 6 good sized rolls, which isn't bad to me. You need to get in your car right now and eat some of this delicious food! I remember when the sushi guy was at the buffet near Kroger/Lowes- his sushi was awesome then too. So if you are near here any time soon- you should go. You won't regret it.
(5)Grace J.
I always go on lunch time ! They have tons of food for very low prices. Many options too. I definitely recommend going for lunch time. Dinner time of course prices get higher and you just don't get that much food, just your regular one roll.
(5)Tom S.
4 3/4 stars!!! Stocked with wonderful looking sushi. I've been eating sushi for thirty years and I don't mind saying that I just eat one of my top five rolls of all time. And at 2:30 on a Tuesday afternoon!! Dang good just cleared it with the wife going again tonight!!!!
(4)The Yelp-inator W.
I saw all the five star rating and was looking forward to trying this place out. Its a nice place but I would not rate them 5 stars. They have decent sushi, but there is better in Clarksville. Nice atmosphere but it is small and I had a little trouble leaving without bumping into other patrons. The service was excellent and the food was good but I think Kohana and Shogun have better sushi. Kohana has the best sushi in town and has more to choose from on their menu IMHO.
(2)Kaui M.
Being from Hawaii where there's plentiful sushi places. I was on a mission to find a sushi place. I tried Fujiyama when we first arrived here last summer and was completely satisfied. Best place to eat sushi & sashimi in Clarksville! They also have a variety of specialty rolls.
(5)Rachel M.
This place....is wonderful. I had picked up my husband from work, and we were on our way back to west Tennessee and visit the family. We wanted to stop and eat in Clarksville, so I yelped restaurants. This place had really.good reviews, so we decided to try it. I am SO glad we did. Our server was very friendly and attentive. The food...oh, the food. I had been craving some good sushi since my husband and I now live an hour away from my favorite sushi place, so I ordered the Spider roll and the American Dream roll, which was their version of a crunchy shrimp roll. I could have eaten two or three more of each. They were so good! My husband had one of their noodle dishes. I (sadly) don't remember the name of it, but it had beef and mushrooms in it. I don't normally eat dishes like that because I tend to not like the sauce used, but what he had was really, really good. The best part? Under $30. I do believe this will be our place to eat whenever we are passing through Clarksville.
(5)Tifanny E.
Best Japanese restaurant in Clarksville if you want authentic and non flashy Americanized Japanese food. Their beef and tuna sashimi are on point every time. I love the inclusion of the daikon, keeping it true to most recipes. The sushi is well executed and fresh. All the appetizers are great besides maybe the calamari, only because the accompanying sauce did it no justice. I would easily say best restaurant in Clarskville. The mood is great for a date and the waitresses don't ever treat you like you're bothering like some other Japanese restaurants in town. YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE! Bring a date, it's a great place for sake and good conversation.
(5)Brandon N.
Food and service were exceptional. Great atmosphere and sushi was superb. Easily our favorite Japanese restraint in Clarksville.
(5)Alicia F.
We have been looking for good sushi since we moved here from Lousiana and are so happy we found Fujiyama! The Dynamy roll is amazing :)
(5)Yolanda B.
Best sushi I've ever had. All sushi was so fresh. Spider roll was delicious and not greasy at all. I will definitely come every week.
(5)Shawn T.
If you are driving take the time to stop and eat here. It's a great stop when driving either direction. Plenty of parking and great food!
(5)Meghan F.
This is the place to eat sushi in Clarksville. We've tried them all because we are big sushi fans and this wins the blue ribbon. My husband has even compared it to 'big city' sushi and he says this place is better. I do think the number of rolls with fried 'this or that' is a little out of control. We asked for 'fresh rolls' and the very kind and friendly server helped us find a number of fresh rolls. We've been back a bunch and as long as we're here in C'ville this is our sushi fix!
(4)Angie C.
Enjoy their sushi. Nice for a date, although my 9 year old son LOVES this place! A bit pricey for entree, and I dislike their miso soup and salad.
(3)Teresa G.
Always fresh food! Delicious!! Friendly staffed. This sushi rest. Id vote number one in this town!! (I've tried ALL OF THEM)
(5)Latoya A.
Food was good but menu was hard to read. For newbies like me. Menus that explain more about the food would help.
(4)Em B.
Today my family ate here. It was good sushi, nothing to write home about though. The reviewer who said that Kohana's can suck it is sadly mistaken as you get twice the amount of food at Kohana's than this place for equal or less the amount of money. I did enjoy the decor and the restrooms were very clean as well. It's a smaller place but an intimate atmosphere. I'd possibly go back again if Kohana's was closed lol presentation also was beautiful and the waitresses were polite as well.
(4)Alex T.
The best place for sushi in Clarksville! The food and service is great! Ask for their special and be pleasantly surprised!
(5)Andrea L.
I come from an area that has great sushi restaurants and I've really missed having good sushi. I just can't say enough good things about Fujiyama. All of the food was delicious but, most importantly, they have the Asian hospitality that usually falls by the wayside as these businesses are brought over here. All of the wait staff were so friendly and playful with my son. I kid you not, there was the cutest, chubbiest little baby at the table next to us, and their server began feeding him his baby food! It was later in the evening and not very busy and the owner or manager, I'm not sure which he was, offered us any dessert we might like on the house. Such a wonderful experience!
(5)Kathy T.
Awesome! I loved the sweet potatoe roll! Miso is good and the salad dressing is great too! This is a great healthy stop if you are driving through the state and even better if you live there.
(5)Kiki F.
My husband and I love this place. Definitely the best sushi place in town. The prices are reasonable, and the service is excellent. They even know our orders by heart now. I have a lot of food allergies and they are always extremely careful with my order; while my husband orders crazy rolls and he always says they are delicious!
(5)Shan T.
This is a wonderful little sushi restaurant. Truly a gem to find in this area of the south! They don't have a hibachi grill in the seating area (it's pretty small so if you have a group make reservations ahead) but they do offer hibachi style food in addition to sushi. I am not a sushi eater however my son and husband are and they loved it! The vegetable tempura and the beef negamaki were absolutely wonderful appetizers for me, the non fish eater! I cannot say enough wonderful things about the servers. We have temperamental toddlers and all of them went out of their way to entertain them, including the owner as he was chopping the sushi! We would definitely visit again!
(5)Kate D.
We had a Valentine dinner here last night that was amazing! I had the sushi and sashimi. Ambiance: 10 Staff: 10 Food: 10
(5)Ronnie M.
Let me tell YOU! I meet Tony (the owner) when he was making sushi at China King Buffet about 7 years ago and I always wanted a "special" kind of sushi (no seaweed) but anyway, after he made this special sushi for me several times I would walk in he would see me and have it ready for me by the time I got done getting my food off buffet! AWESOME THE SUSHI (he has soy paper with sesame seeds on it to roll sushi in) IS AWESOME! he got me to try a peppered piece of sashimi (I was scared) and it was amazing, I trusted him, known him for years and took the plunge! Never have had a bad meal here! MATTER OF FACT IM GOING BACK AGAIN TONIGHT!! PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE READ, THIS PLACE HAS TO ABSOLUTE BEST TASTING, SLAP YOUR MOMMA, FRIED RICE IVE EVER EATEN IN MY LIFE!!!! I would highly recommend that you give them a try you won't be disappointed (it's a little pricy but oh well) I'll post pics later
(5)Sandy L.
Went on a weekday around 4pm and only 1 other customer was in there when hubby and I went to eat. We told host/server we hadn't eaten there before and asked for recommendations since I knew I wanted shrimp tempura which he was happy to give. Hubby ordered the chicken & shrimp teriyaki and fried rice ($16). I ordered the shrimp fried rice ($11) and 2 special rolls: Cowboy and American Dream ($10.50 & $7.50). The Cowboy Roll (shrimp tempura, avocado on the inside, grilled meat, sweet sauce on the outside) and the American Dream roll (shrimp tempura, avocado, cream cheese) were both to die for. So good I ended up ordering another Cowboy Roll since hubby wanted to share! The teriyaki IMO was too pricey for the portion you got plus we weren't aware the rice was an extra dollar since it didn't come with any other sides. The shrimp fried rice was good and a nice size portion though the shrimp were overcooked and not really seasoned. (used teriyaki sauce from hubby's plate to add flavor to shrimp so not a big deal). Service was okay. I had to ask for water/soda refills a couple of times even though only one other customer was in there until we were ready for our check (about 45 minutes). Will definitely go back to try out lunch options and to get more Cowboy rolls!
(4)Mollie K.
Best sushi in Clarksville! Huge variety of rolls. Some of the best Miso soup I've ever had. Fav rolls are the Volcano, Spider and Hot Sexy Thai Girl. Awesome service always too!
(4)Sheldon C.
Passing through Clarksville on a weekend trip. Wow, what a surprise! This strip mall Japanese restaurant was really good. My son and I were greeted immediately with a nice courteous smile from the hostess. Our waitress was equally nice and friendly always smiling. The real hidden gem here was the food. I ordered shrimp fried rice and it was as good as anything I've ever had in Japan. Tasty wok fried rice with fresh shrimp. So fresh that the shrimp were actually sweet. How about that for rural Tennessee... So if you're ever in Clarksville and feeling like Japanese food this should do nicely.
(4)Na Hyun K.
It's been 5 months since my last review to this amazing restaurant but I have probably been here about 50 times since then. THIS place is the absolute BEST sushi restaurant in town. Look no further. I travel around to eat and find local sushi places to eat and Fuji Yama has been the best so far. They also serve delicious teriyaki dishes. My favorites are the steak (so tender and perfect), seafood yaki udon (includes shrimp with thick Japanese noodles, and vegetables), and their Ton Katsu (includes fried rice or white with their special sauce). Prices are great and if you guys go during lunch hours, they even have amazing deals on the teriyaki entrees, sushi rolls, and bento boxes. Go ahead and try it out and give them a great review or just post those amazing sushi dish pictures.
(5)Jen Q.
The BEST sushi place in Clarksville! The food is always fresh and the staff is super friendly... I love Fuji Yama
(5)Jill C.
Great sushi! Hard to find a good sushi place when there aren't any oceans nearby... But this place surprised me!
(5)Barry O.
Hate to give a bad review here because others rate it higher. Good fast device but server did not know what to recommend. I started with the spicy shrimp roll that came out fast. I believe it was pre-made. I then ordered the teriyaki a ribeye with soup, salad, fried rice and the steak. I love ribeye steaks, so I ordered it. What I got was a tough sirloin steak. When I asked about the cut they said that's what they serve as a ribeye. The ginger dressing on the salad was good as well as the miso soup although it was just warm and not hot. The best part was the fried rice. Overall just ok and I am disappointed.
(2)Elise I.
My favorite place to get sushi. Everything is so fresh, and delicious. The staff is so sweet and despite staying busy, remember their regulars and what they like. I always enjoy my visit and can't ever get enough of their food. In my opinion it's the best place in town for sushi. No one does it better than they do. Though it's an intimate little place, it's also warm and inviting.
(5)Phaydra C.
Absolutely best fried rice in Clarksville! This beautiful restaurant is a hidden gem in Clarksville and thankfully it is located right up the street from house. I am sad to say I stop here once a week to get there amazing fresh food. There staff is very nice! I recommend everyone try this restaurant.
(5)Anna R.
Best sushi in town. Better quality fish and it certainly shows. Quiet and relaxed atmosphere and an incredible deal on the sashimi lunch.
(5)Sean F.
This place is small and feels like the employees are watching you as you eat. Food is good. The ginger dressing on the house salad is more of a ginger citrus dressing.
(3)Cristian P.
Awesome little restaurant. All the food was done to perfection: from the softness of the meat to the blending of soft and crunchy vegetables. Can't go wrong with their bentos, with a little bit of everything in it. Definitely try it and see for yourselves.
(5)Courtney B.
Fuji Yama is my favorite sushi place in Clarksville. I have been super spoiled with having good sushi near my house in the past few places I've lived and was worried I wouldn't find a good one here but I was wrong. I'm hooked on the Thai Hot Sexy Girl roll. It has amazing flavor and despite having asparagus in it they make sure they cook it beforehand. i've been to too many places that leave the asparagus too crunchy for sushi. The Sunday Morning roll was pretty good as well. They do a good job with their basic rolls. The Philly roll was on point. The service has always been great when I've been. They answer questions and make suggestions based off their favorites (and not just whats the most expensive).
(5)Matt C.
Amazing. Didn't expect this to be this nice and ideal. Food was absolutely hands down best in clarksville. Had lobster tail roll, chicken fried rice. The chicken fried rice was fluffy and fresh ! The lobster tail roll was delectable ,melted in your mouth! Wife loved hers as well. (Different order) the service was fast and we'll mannerd. Even the hostess was kind and mannered ! As far as the atmosphere, felt like I was at a shop in japan! Well organized and clean. Authentic feel. Loved the place. Wife and I made this official lunch date site.
(5)Christian G.
Color me hard to impress. I moved here from Hawaii and I still have the taste of Sushi II haunting me. However, Tennessee is a landlocked state and Clarksville is a sea of chains and mediocrity. In this environment, Fuji Yama is the best place of any kind that we have eaten since we moved. The food is decent, the rolls are good, not great, but good. We'll be back.
(3)Darcy M.
This is probably the best place I've eaten at in Tennessee when it comes to sushi...it is that good. The fish is always fresh and we never leave hungry or disappointed. For those with allergies, they have gluten free soy sauce too. The prices are great for the quality of food being served, and even better at lunch time.
(5)kristen m.
Always super nice and super fast! Prices are incredibly reasonable and food always tastes fresh. For being in a landlocked state this place is stellar. Haven't ever got a bad item and portions are very generous.
(5)Xi X.
Best sushi I have found in Clarksville. I have tried other places, but not good enough for me to come back. Fuji Yama has good food and good service. They have a secret menu if your feeling adventurous. I love coming here every pay day or every chance I get. Have tried most items on their menu and have not been disappointed one bit. So if you are in the are area and in need of your sushi fix I recommend you try Fuji Yama out!
(5)Marion S.
What a great find! We were at the liquor store next door and saw this Sushi restaurant tucked around the corner. Every single person that works here is pleasant and wanted more than anything to make sure our experience was great. Our waitress made a great recommendation on the soup, we split the shrimp Yaki Soba and had 4 rolls. The soup and entree came out very quickly and more than once our waitress apologized for how long the sushi was taking . The sushi came out quicker than in ANY sushi restaurant I had ever been in and it was delicious ! When I turned to check it out I realized for a small restaurant they had 3 chefs preparing sushi!!! Top notch service and food for a GREAT price!!!!
(5)Erin O.
Finding decent sushi in middle Tennessee can be a daunting, potentially even deadly task. Fuji Yama makes it worth the search. High quality sushi, mouthwatering tempura, and great service every time. Freshness and presentation ranks as some of the best sushi I have had. Dinner is a bit pricey, but their lunch specials are a great deal and come with tons of food, especially the bento boxes.
(5)Heidi M.
Order the special rolls, the more expensive ones. This is where you will get the real taste of greatness. The AK-47 was incredible. The regular rolls like the spicy tuna and Philadelphia were no better than buffet sushi.
(5)Jared M.
Best Sushi in Clarksville by far. I suggest the Pepper Tuna Tataki as an appetizer and if you have not tried the Dynamy, you are missing out.
(5)Patrick C.
My absolute favorite sushi place in the area!!! If you don't try to enjoy all the great dishes this place has to offer you need to step your game up!
(5)Rebecca A.
This is a nice little restaurant with a good feel. It's very clean and the service we received was outstanding. The sushi was a great price compared to other places, but I also noticed that much of the sushi we ordered came in groups of six instead of eight. We needed more of their special sauce and they were happy to supply us with more. The sushi was pretty good, but I wish the brown sauce had been sweeter like at other places. We were able to order 5 rolls for around $45. Good place and I definitely recommend you try it out! It might be the flavor you're looking for!
(4)Corey W.
I've been here a dozen times or more and am convinced this is the best Sushi in Tennessee. The atmosphere is great, very cozy and romantic. They have a great selection and the price is right as well. If you don't like Sushi they have a few other Japanese staples to tide over any dissenters in the group. Its not on their menu but ask for the tuna dumplings, they are amazing. An appetizer and one roll is enough to satisfy. If you are really hungry you really only need one more.
(5)Josh S.
Amongst the best sushi I've had, and the steak was also excellent. Can't recommend highly enough!
(5)Ian B.
OK i know, everyones first thought...Sushi in Tennessee?? that cant be good... Well it is!! I have eaten at sushi restaurants all over the country and i was pleasantly surprised at the quality of this establishment. First off the sushi itself is very fresh. For me the key test is to try yellow tail, because as soon as yellow tail gets old (which is very quick) it immediately starts to put off a fishy smell. Fresh yellow tail should not have a fishy smell at all and trust me i have been in plenty of established so called sushi restaurants where their yellow tail reeked. So i tried their yellow tail, toro and eel nigiri and a couple of wraps and they were all fantastic. They have some really great house roll creations, actually quiet a nice selection. Their staff is very good at explaining things to you if you are unsure of what to order or what things are. The atmosphere is very nice, and the only thing i could find to be a problem was parking (as it gets very tight on weekend nights in that small strip mall) but that says nothing about Fuji Yama. All in all i love this place and even though i have not tried all the sushi restaurants in Clarksville i think after all the reviews i have seen and after experiencing myself this place is the best in Clarksville.
(5)Collin D.
Great sushi ( if you are new to sushi get their "fried" and you won't be disappointed.) Also grab a Sake Bomber, where you balance a shot on two chopsticks and hit the table so it drops into beer. (: Kirin ichiban is the best beer they have.
(4)Kody K.
Excellent! My husband and I were passing through on our way to Illinois... Yelp recommended this place and we were NOT disappointed! Every roll we got was outstanding, service was friendly and quick! Definitely recommend!
(5)Keitha M.
My favorite place for sushi and Bento boxes! I order from here way to much but I love it!
(5)Crysta J.
I love this place! We're from Miami & the sushi here is just as good, if not better than our favorite restaurant in Miami. We've tried Kohana, and it sucks! Fujiyama is hands down best sushi in Clarksville!
(5)Corina P.
This place is small and doesn't have the hibachi grill, but the food is awesome! I am from DC, and I thought I had great sushi until I came here. Me and my husband became regulars. So sad, but I order to go food from here 2-3 times every week. The employees are really nice, every detail of my order is always correct, and the food is absolutely amazing! Fresh fish all the time, I tried almost every sushi roll. If you like spicy, try the Buki roll. If your new to sushi, try the spider or tempura roll. The miso soup & Japanese fried rice is really yummy! They also offer great lunch specials. This has to be one of the best sushi places I ever been to!
(5)Joshua G.
I've eaten at almost all of the sushi places in Clarksville and this place is by far the best. The fish is always fresh and the food is always awesome. I would put these guys / this restaurant up against any Nashville place any day. Great service, great food, and a great ambience in the restaurant. A winning combination every time.
(5)James K.
I'm kind of in between a 3 and a 4 for Fujiyama, but given the fact its in Clarksville I bumped it to 4. The atmosphere is just how I like a sushi spot. Dimly lit, classy and clean. I ordered the #21(golden roll) which was spicy tuna rolled with avocado and mango and more tuna on top along with the chef's special sauce. Needless to say was like a nitro explosion of spicy, sweet and salty with rice shrapnel in my mouth. It was a good size roll as it should be for 10 American duckets. My only complaint is that it wasn't nearly as spicy as I had hoped for. This could however be my fault, I frequently need to use the phrase "I want the chef to try and hurt me" at Thai establishments to reach the appropriate level of heat that I enjoy. I will try this next time at Fujiyama. The service was top notch, I could not drink my tea fast enough for her to not be standing at the ready. The staff was friendly and awesome. I will definitely be back soon.

Simply spectacular. I've eaten sushi all around the country and FujiYama ranks in my top five. The fish is always super fresh, which must be an issue with some of the other places in the area based on some of the results we have seen. In short, there is no other place in 50 miles that even comes close. Also...sit at the sushi bar if you can...the chefs are super friendly and do a great job with special requests.

I'll start by saying... I'm was born and raised in Cali... Eating sushi 3-4 times a week. I do consider myself a bit of a sushi snob. Fuji Yama is spot on when it comes to fresh fish. I don't even have to give the typical "it's good for Clarksville" disclaimer. They are a top notch sushi joint. We eat here at least once a week. I typically stick to sashimi but so sometimes have a few rolls. Their rolls are great too, the ones that I enjoy don't have too much sauce on them, just enough to enhance the flavor of the fish. They always have "special" rolls when you walk in and most of them are very good. I have and will continue to take out of town business associates here for lunch or a quick dinner.

The sushi here is outstanding. My friends and I usually go out to Sushi on Monday nights, this is our go to place. The prices here are excellent, service impeccable, and the food delicious. The fish tastes fresh and the color looks good. Although, I have found a new sushi place to go to, I highly suggest this place to anyone who enjoys and craves "fishy" delights!

Need sushi in Clarksville? Head to Fujiyama. Tony and the guys and gals will impress you every time. Branch out and try the specialty rolls they have on the wipe-off board by the entryway, Tony has a gift for combining flavor combinations that will make your tummy happy. The rolls are a good size, I usually order one and my perpetually-hungry husband gets two (sometimes three) and we're usually pretty stuffed. A friend introduced me to an unfiltered sake that they have there and it is amazingly good. If it's not too busy, sit at the bar and talk with the chefs!

We've found our fave sushi place in Tennessee! And being from Hawaii, we thought that would be impossible - since we're so accustomed to the freshest fish. Little did we know, we'd find this gem. We are definitely spreading the word to our fellow Soldiers and military families.

My wife and I recently went to Fuji Yama for dinner, dude this place is the best sushi place in clarksville by far. Food: Ok, so they have a huge selection of special rolls, maki, and hand rolls and other stuff for folks that aren't into fish. The fish is really fresh and the rolls so far have been awesome. Rolls we tried, sunshine, 911 and the volcano roll. The Volcano roll was one of the best rolls I have ever had. Nigori Saki was ok, I had a couple sips and then had a 22.oz beer instead... Awesome! Portions are pretty large, one roll could easily fill you up. The prices are reasonable considering the quality of the ingredients. Service: This place has awesome service, our server was very knowledgeable, checked up on us multiple times throughout our dinner and our meal came out in a reasonable amount of time. Even the sushi chef was nice, which is usually not the case at most sushi place. Everyone was professional and friendly. Atmosphere: Clean dining area, Japanese style design.. great lighting for a romantic dinner in the evening. This place is pretty quiet too, even on a friday night there was no wait to have dinner and the place wasn't too crowded. Overall: I'm giving Fuji Yama 4 stars, I would put it up there with some of the most popular sushi places in honolulu. The only reason I am not giving it 5 stars is it isn't the best place I have ever been but it comes really close... If you are a sushi lover living in clarksville this is a place you need to go.

LOVE LOVE LOVE this place. I am from CA and so far this is the closest thing in Clarksville that's close to fresh. I have been here 3 times and each time the service was great. Quite, dark but can get loud because the place would get full and let's face it..The restaurant is small. I love raw fish, I don't do the cooked sushi thing. Their Nigiri and sashimi is awesome. Their spicy rolls aren't as hot as I am used too. All in all, my go to sushi place. But I wish it wasn't so expensive.

Haven eaten here many times, and other Sushi places in town, this is by far the best! You will not be disappointed, try the special rolls, cooked chicken etc. it won't disappoint! A little pricy, but like any great sushi place, you get what you pay for. Wait staff is attentive and friendly !

This place continues to have the best sushi EVER! I have tried many places in many states, nothing compares to Fuji Yama. Their food is always fresh and they are always coming up with new ways to display sushi. Case in point the picture I attached with a beautiful glowing martini glass and sushi display for our evening dinner. And their sushi menu has a wonderful mix of rolls and great ingredients. My favorite is the Cowboy Roll which has then cooked steak on the top! Plus for spouses that hate Asian, this place is still good. My husband hates Asian food, but loves the Chicken Katsu at this place! Service is always good and great place to eat for any occasion.

I can't imagine finding better sushi in Clarksville. Nice, quiet little restaurant where the staff takes care of you, and makes some delicious rolls. They've also got a solid menu for people who aren't into sushi, but I feel like not ordering a roll or two would be missing out.

I've tried 4 other sushi places in Nashville and one other in the Clarksville area. This place is by far the best. I admit I'm a regular - the cowboy roll is my favorite and better than anything I've ever had. Try it.

Went here again tonight and it was so delicious. i introduced someone new to the best place to get sushi also - which i think qualifies me for some kind of discount! Anyways, tried the new lobster special roll and a mango roll tonight and shared a thai sexy hot girl and American dream. delicious. Polite service as always, quiet environment and your able to have a great conversation with no interruption. Great place to go on a weekday also - what a great night all around.

Dude. Yes. This restaurant has excellent service, atmosphere, and much to offer for us vegetarians. I ordered the vegetable roll platter and I couldn't finish it, there was so much. So good. It's a small place in a strip mall, but Fujiyama is all class.
