Disappointed. I got the smaller sandwich and a cup of "sweet tea." I spent almost $10. The sauce was sub-par, overly sweet, and the tea was reminiscent of Crystal Light Lemonade.

We had fried pickles, bbq nachos, brisket plate, ribs, and loaded fries. All of it was amazing!!!!! Will be coming back and telling everyone about this place. The facility was very clean and the staff are SO polite and love what they do.

Food: Everything here just tastes cheap... Not quite sure how else to describe it. I had the smoked sausage sandwich (served on a cheap hotdog bun) and bbq nachos. I had eaten bbq nachos somewhere else before, and loved them. So, I was excited to see it on the menu. However, when I asked what came on the nachos, I was horrified to hear "nacho cheese". Not being a fan of ballpark nacho cheese, I asked for shredded cheese instead. Once again, everything about these nachos was cheap, and the cheese wasn't even melted... Just sprinkled all over. Wtf?? They're nachos, guys! Come on... Staff: friendly... They open at 1100, and I walked up to open the door, only to realize it was locked. All of the staff was inside and could see me. I look down at my phone for the time...10:59. Rather than just letting me in, they waited 60 seconds before they let me in. Ok, to be fair, yes- they open at 1100 and it wasn't 1100 yet. But come on... You're going to make me stand there at the door for 60 seconds?

I ordered the rib plate with Mac n cheese and baked beans. Wasn't a huge fan of the baked beans but the Mac n cheese was good. I thought the ribs were pretty good, weren't as tender as I would have liked but they definitely weren't tough. I could pull the meat off the bone with my fingers. My husband got the pulled pork with potato salad and Mac n cheese. I though the potato salad was good, the pork didn't have much flavor to it but was good with the sauce. I will agree that it does not taste smoked but who says BBQ has to be smoked. The only complaint I really have was that the sweet tea was not sweet tea, I didn't think it tasted a bad but it was more like half lemonade and half tea.

I'm going to attempt to keep this as professional as possible. BLUF: Unless very inebriated and find myself lost during Armageddon, I will never go back to this restaurant again. 1. Food: I had the ribs dry, with sauce on the side. My wife had a baked potato. The ribs were good dry however a bit tough. The sauce was delicious. The baked potato was a disgrace, to put ball park cheese on pulled pork is unimaginable and they had the audacity to spoil such a wonderful meal. My wife did not eat a second bite and I threw up in my mouth. Let's not talk about the "sweet tea" 2. Service: I have never in my life, other than in a foreign country, had an individual attempt to serve me with head phones on. Nothing more needs to be said. 3. Decor: Ha... The wood planks are a great idea just poorly executed. As for the picture/posters, well, let's just say there are many other ways at displaying your tacky memorabilia than thumb tacks.

My first visit to Fox's and, unfortunately, it will probably be my last. I tried a little bit of everyone's order, but I got a rib plate with potato salad and corn on the cob. It tasted as if the potato salad was purchased at the local grocery store...certainly didn't taste homemade. The corn on the cob was nothing special, simple boiled corn with no seasoning whatsoever. My wife got the Big Moo Moo with mac-n-cheese and potato salad. The macaroni was mushy and overcooked and tasted as if it had been reheated a number of times. My mother in-law got a pulled pork plate with baked beans and cole slaw...again, nothing special and tasted store bought. Now, on to the meats...couldn't taste anything that made me feel as if they were smoked or even barbecued. Not sure why. The pulled pork was probably the best tasting of all three, but if you open a BBQ spot and don't do a good pulled pork, something is wrong. Don't ask me about the sweet tea...Yuck. So, for local barbecue, I'll drive the hour to Jack's in Nashville or Martin's in Nolensville for good bbq. Heck, I'll drive five hours to St. Louis to visit Pappy's Smokehouse before I go back here. Sorry Mr. Fox, I was really hoping for something fantastic.

I went in and got a bit of a few different meats, and it was good. The sauce was the best part of the meal, they should definitely bottle that. I grabbed a few different items to share as it was my first time there, and it was a mixed bag. Some of the ribs were tough and there wasn't much smoke to speak of, if they are smoked at all. The smoked sausage was excellent. The loaded fries were way too sweet for me, between the pulled pork and sauce on top of cheese and fries. I'd imagine some folks would like it just fine, but it wasn't for me. The sweet tea was almost unrecognizable as tea, it's certainly not what I'd expect for southern sweet tea in a barbecue restaurant. It's good barbecue, may be the best of surprisingly limited options in Clarksville, but you can get far better in Nashville or the surrounding area.

The food here is good. Certainly not the stuff you get down in Nashville, but certainly worth a visit up here in Clarksville. I will have to agree with other reviewers that the ball park cheese on the baked potato was out of place, still delicious, but I'd probably order it without it the next time. The bbq sauce is fabulous! By far the best part of the experience was the service! The owners are so hospitable and truly made for an enjoyable experience. They simply radiate the love of the Lord.

Ball park cheese on a stuffed baked potato. Sigh. The sweet tea is awful. Total disappointment.

Excellent food! I've been there twice with plans to go back many more times, especially since I just saw they have coupons on restaurant.com ! First time I had the Fox Trap Combo and the second time I had the Rib Plate and a Smoked Sausage. Absolutely delicious. Not a fancy place, but very clean, VERY friendly, and they have a military discount. Don't settle for less!

Use to get it when they would sell on Fort Campbell. Quick service and good portion sizes.

First time I ever had fox's and I have to say it is the 2nd best bbq I have ever had. I got the small moo moo plate with fries and Cole slaw and I will definitely be going back!!

Delicious! Having read a review my wife and I decided to try them out. Unfortunately the first time we went it was a Sunday and they were closed. Yesterday, however, we arrived just after 11 am to find they were open and already serving. My wife ordered the rib plate with slaw and fries. The ribs were St Louis style and slathered with bbq sauce. Normally my wife doesn't like sauce but it was perfect. The 3 ribs were huge, tender, but not fall off the bone tender. I knew she wouldn't eat all of hers so I just ordered a smoked sausage with baked beans and potato salad. All the sides seamed to be home made and were very good. The sausage was not so good, reminding me of the Carolina brand bought at local stores. Maybe some hot links or kielbasa would have been better? There was lots of takeout being handled so I guess the word has spread. 6 or 7 tables only so don't anticipate being able to eat in and even though there was very little parking available the owners 2 cars were taking up space in front of their restaurant.

Just discovered this place after smelling it over a block away when exiting Walgreens. I immediately felt welcome upon entering and the smell was so wonderful it made it very difficult to choose what to order. I chose the brisket for myself, pulled pork for my grandmother and a BBQ chicken loaded baked potato to split with her. It was hands down the best brisket I have tasted. Mr Fox's sauce strikes a fine balance between sweet and spice but it's not overpowering to hide the flavor of the meat. I've lived in the area nearly 40 years and it's one of the best if not THE best BBQ I've eaten that's available in the Ft Campbell area. The price was very reasonable for the quality of BBQ.

Ill start out by saying the food was o.k. but thats the highlight. I had to order BBQ for one of my customers, for a Memorial Day Appreciation thing for their customers. I called the night before to place an order. Mind you, if they told me they couldn't fill it on time I would have called somewhere else, no problem. I also chose them because they had better reviews than some, but were too far from work. They open at 11 and told me they get slammed when they open, so I offered early pickup, say 10-10:30. No no no they'll have it ready for me at 11 they swear. I got there at 10:45. The husband and wife where in there with who I assume is the daughter just in the back talking (I could see them from out front, and the curtain to the back was up). As 11 hits another couple walks in before me, they had also placed an order earlier. I sat there for 20 minutes while Fox tried to get the other couple's order together, but he had forgotten to make their chicken. The only person working was Fox. His wife was standing around talking, walking from front to back. When they finally got around to talking to me (no "welcome" when I got to the store) it took them another 20 minutes to get my food. Im getting phone calls from my customer yelling about where the food we promised them is. Then, as Im asking to pay early so when it's ready I can go, their IPAD goes down. The wife, instead if checking me out on their old system proceeds to call, on speakerphone, the help desk. Rolling her eyes and scoffing at the person trying to help her, and talking to her life she's stupid. Finally get my food and get out (after waiting for her to get off of the phone so we can use the card machine) and its about 11:45. No apology, no nothing. Absolutely the most unprofessional place I'd ever been. Most people go to family owned places for the service and food, but I would have been better off going to Burger King. Also, the pulled pork is not pulled, it is chopped. So is the brisket, where most brisket Ive eaten is in strips. No flavor to the food except after adding the BBQ sauce. I would never recommend or go back again.
