Please do not eat here! The food is just icky, and not authentic Mexican food at all. I ate there once, and felt sick for days. Don't say I didn't warn you!

Food it's good just a little expensive. The service it's slow but we usually go for margaritas and those are on point. Otherwise. Make sure you go with plenty of time. It's going to take a long time to get serve but the taste of things will be great.

The food was awful..like they just don't care at all .....I was very upset I spent money at this place ...tex mex at it's worst .....the tortillas were nuked and had a bad texture and the fajitas meat and veggies looked old ...just an over all bad meal .

Soooo good. My mother and I both ordered the Fajitas Bravas (chicken, steak, shrimp, and chorizo). We were both pleasantly surprised at how much meat came with the dish. Everything was seasoned perfectly and the food came out quickly. We will definitely be back.

TRY IT - YOU WILL LOVE IT! This is the ABSOLUTE BEST MEXICAN FOOD in this area. AND the prices are GREAT! My husband and I have been going here at least once a week for many, many years-that speaks for itself! The lunch buffet is always fresh and delicious and cheap. The manager, Mario, will go FAR out of his way to ensure your visit is enjoyable. The servers, Lorena, Angie and Karina (just to name a few) are super friendly, helpful and FAST. I've NEVER had a meal here that I didn't like. I got an enchilada, taco, rice and beans today for $5.25. Yesterday I had the carne asada...it was amazing! Oh, and their chips and salsa are to die for! The chips are thin, crunchy and fresh and the salsa is excellent...did I also mention they are FREE with your meal? Try it soon!

Very disappointing. I am not lying when I say I've had better Mexican food at Taco Bell and.. well I've made better. I could not believe how cheap and dirty this place was. I really couldn't believe how many ppl were there! Check out another Mexican restaurant.

This is such a festive restaurant. They have a lunch buffet that's pretty legit. Salsa could be better, but I'd have to say the food was pretty good as well as service.

Not bad, not great either. I can take it or leave it. Besides the food and for me, the one factor when deciding if a Mexican restaurant is good vs. great is tortillas. If the tortillas are made at the restaurant, it has an increased probability of being great.. Nothing says yumm better than a good Mexican dish served with fresh hot tortillas. Nope, they dont make the tortillas here.. :(

Carnitas were pork(maybe) lacking flavor, no crispy edges--almost looked like pot roast. Chile rellenos were unavailable(10min after ordering), 'refried' beans were soupy, rice tasted funky, flour tortillas had been wrapped and warmed waaay too long, chips were stale and the salsa watery---one nice touch was fresh avocado slices---service was good and those that partaked thought the margaritas were very good

It seems this restaurant has gone down hill a bit. I brought a friend here and there was hair in her food. One time it took 20 minutes to get our waiter to come to our table. And this winter, it was so freezing cold in the place we almost left.

Let's see, El Toro is a conundrum because the food is not authentic Mexican but I find myself craving it. I have been all over Mexico and you would never find most of these dishes. The Tex-Mex style of this restaurant, minus the Spanish bullfighter decor, is charming to me somehow. The food is good, tastes fresh and combined with the ultra-friendly staff, keeps me coming back. My kids love the food and that is saying a lot, and my americana husband goes for the fajitas and is never disappointed in amount nor flavor that he receives. The flan is very tasty and light (as long as you don't devour the whip cream that comes with it). I am a big fan of the chimicangas with shrimp and the tacos de carne asada! Try them, they are pretty darn good.

ow ner s of el Toro I want you to understand over the last several years I have been attending your restaurant and have been please but here lately I have noticed that the decor is really going downit would help if you would take those curtains down and wash them there's dust on them A inch thick the carpets need to be cleaned and I don't think I have been in there in two years and that big fountain in the front actually running what's the deal fix it up clean it up the outside doesn't look good if you would make it look better I know you would get more business

They have good margaritas here. Add some cilantro to the salsa and you have a winner. Of course I love the queso and you can't miss with the shrimp chimichanga. Although have to admit. Sometimes the service is hit or miss. But don't let that stop you. Worth going!

went there once: 1. Alcohol license was expired... so no margaritas that night. 2. Pretty crappy service 3. food was OK 4. water was disgusting

The Fajita's here are really good. I usually get the burrito loco and i can only eat half it's so big. Also the prices are one of the best for the area.

Food is great, service is even better, and the margarita pitchers are the best in town! Shrimp fajita quesadilla and chicken chimichanga are my faves.

While its not my absolute favorite Mexican place, the Fajita dishes are definitely worth a try and the camarones a la diabla are good as well. Portions are large enough that you won't go away hungry, but if you don't fill up at the end of the meal, the desserts are pretty good too. While spacious and interestingly decorated on the inside, my biggest beef with this place is the bathrooms. There was water all over the floor (At least, I hope it was water...), several of the toilets were dirtied, and there was only soap in one dispenser. That last thing is absolutely atrocious for a restaurant. The sad thing was, it wasn't even that busy at the time. Service is good, and my husband and I come here a lot. I have nothing to complain about as long as I can hold my bladder until we get home.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
