Went to this place because of the reviews that I read about it on here and was not impressed at all. The decor of the place seemed to be everywhere, it's like they didn't know what they wanted to do with it. Also they had their Christmas decorations still up in April....kind of weird for a place that's suppose to be an upscale restaurant. The food was very plain, I had the shrimp and chicken fettuccine and my wife had the filet with loaded baked potato. My pasta was OK and my wife's filet was terrible. I feel that we could have got the same quality of food from a chain restaurant for about half the price. And when it comes to good food I don't care about paying more for a good meal but this place just didn't have good food. If you want a great steak house, I recommend going to The Harper House in Hopkinsville, it's worth the drive!

Edward's is such a great, local place for a dinner out on the town! Depending on what you order, prices can be a little high...but if you plan on dining at a nice steakhouse you should be prepared for that. I will say that Edward's does try and give a variety on both selection and prices. Plus they offer really good specials throughout the week. The wait staff, bartenders and owners are so friendly and kind! These people want you to have a great experience and definitely give it to you. My husband and I frequent Edward's and have enjoyed everything we have tried from their menu. They have recently shaken things up menu-wise and let me tell you, TRY THE KANSAS CITY PORK WINGS! They are fabulous. If you're looking for a local establishment that doesn't have a tremendous wait and does take reservations, try Edward's!

We love Edwards. Always a great atmosphere and service. Steaks are good but the garlic mashed potatoes are AMAZING. We haven't had anything that we didn't enjoy.

Wow! I had a really nice dinner at Edward's Steakhouse. I had probably one of the best steaks I have ever had, but definitely the best I have had in Clarksville. We also had the fried green beans for an appetizer and they were perfect. The service was superb from the front door to the table. Miss Linda, the owner, greeted us at the door with that Southern smile and our server, John, was out of this world. If I had to pick something tom complain about it would be that my baked potato wasn't as hot as I would like it, but it was still good. Great place for a date or a special occasion.

Good steaks, very romantic atmosphere. If you wanna impress your lady good place to take her. Live piano, low lighting and fancy napkins. Little on the expensive side but it won't break the bank. Remember to dress nice.

The food here is not good. I had the fettuccine alfredo with shrimp. My companion had the same. Hers was cold. Mine was scalding. Both had no flavor. Service was decent. They were out of like every kind of wine we wanted, which sucked. The place has a weird decor that makes no sense. A chain restaurant has better food and ambiance.

Read reviews on good food and piano music it's all true. Ambience is comfortable waiter and owner friendly. Good bar. Had shrimp and oyster appetizers. A bit dry. Great burger and trout. We were passing through and believed the reviews so made the trip into town for the experience. Worth the time A great place to unwind

The service was fantastic - loved the hostess and our waiter did a great job. And I enjoyed the margaritas, very good. However, I didn't think the food was anything special. The spinach dip was dry and not tasty, with a dried out looking lump of cheese on top, like it sat for too long. The ribeye had tough spots, though it did taste good (when I didn't have to remove a bite from my mouth. The mashed potatoes weren't creamy at all, in fact, they practically crumbled and tasted dry. Even though I enjoyed the atmosphere, I'd hardly refer to it as "romantic" like other reviewers stated. There were even a few children there at 8pm on a Friday night.

I thought it was alright, other people disagreed. Nothing earth shattering, but it wasn't bad at all. The oysters were not good though, super muddy. The NY strip was pretty good, good flavor, decent texture, the grill could have been hotter to give a bit more of a good char but I didn't complain. With so few non chain restaurants in Clarksville, Edwards is a good choice.

If I feel like having a steak, this is the only place I go. The food is good, I really like the atmosphere, and if I cannot get a table, there is usually space in the the bar. For some reason, the bartender is always working alone and is ridiculously busy; however, she never skips a beat. I get my dirty martini, made to perfection on time, every time. My only complaint... Get some blue cheese stuffed olives please.

We went for our birthday dinner and it was a huge disappointment. I'd seen the rave reviews and was so excited to try this place, but my food was barely edible :( The steaks were not good, and I thought that was their specialty? Much better steaks at the Bistro on Madison. The worst part was the mushrooms, both the stuffed ones (appetizer) and the sautéed ones on the steak were just gross. I was anticipating button or similar, but got these monstrous ones the size of my fist. Seriously couldn't eat them, just ewww. Two stars because the service was excellent and the piano a nice addition. For the price, however, the food was not worth going back. I love supporting local business, so it's a shame the food was so sub-par.

I liked the atmosphere. The menu is very extensive with lots of great options. I had the salmon, which was ok. The Mac and Cheese was awesome. Everyone was happy with their meal. Will definitely be back!

Great spot to eat in Clarksville. The food was great. The fried mushroom appetizer was the best fried mushrooms I've ever had. The Ahi tuna was great. The pork chop is what I had and it's brilliant. The asparagus was a bit overcooked and the mashed potatoes were good but had too much sour cream. However, the Mac and cheese was very tasty made with penne and with a Parmesan crumb baked crust. The dinner rolls were... meh. The side salads were quite good as well. I had the Caesar and it was pre-tossed and had shaved Parmesan instead of grated, which I like. The sapphire Collins is quite tasty. But I would avoid the specialty mojito. Overall great atmosphere with live pianist. Look forward to going back.

I came here for my birthday and not only was the ribeye amazing they gave me a dessert and card. What a fantastic touch.

Seriously the best steak I've ever had in my life. Writing this review is making me crave one right now actually... The macaroni and cheese is also pretty legit. There's also a guy that plays piano there live and is here much every time that I've been in which is cool and different than most places.

Yeah 5 stars that's right... 1 Star Atmosphere 2 Stars Service 2 Stars Quality of food 5 Total! I had the pleasure of visiting Edwards for a business function this week. Full disclosure we had drinks and Apps in the bar area and, unfortunately, did not have dinner. I walked in with a dead cellphone. I asked the bartender, who was pretty busy, if anyone had a charger. She went out of her way to assist me. There were ~7-8 of us and we ordered a slew of Apps. The beef medallions, fried mushrooms, spinach artichoke dip, firesd green beans to name a few were delicious. Our bartender/server was spot on with drinks and attention. I also liked their draft beer selection, why yes I'll have a Yuengling please! Our local business partners said the food is excellent and I'm hoping I have the opportunity to return for dinner. If I worked nearby this would be my go to place...

Went here without reservations for our 10th wedding anniversary. Waited about 10 minutes for a table to open up. Inside nothing extraordinary but well done. The construction of the main eating area does not allow for intimate setting as the center is occupied by tables with those conversations traveling throughout the establishment. The side booths are not immune from this. But not a showstopper. The day we went all of their $7.00 appetizers and draft beers were half price. We had spinach dip as a family appetizer and I had oysters on the half shell. The dip was really good. Coming from the Pacific Northwest I was kind of skeptical of the oysters but they were good. Not near as big as Seattle but a good buttery flavor and fresh tasting. Hint to the establishment, need much more spicy cocktail sauce or at least a hot sauce to come with the flight. For the main course I had the NY strip. Cooked medium rare the steak was overall very good. Meat melted in my mouth but as always I compare steakhouse steaks to my own and regardless if it is Mortons, Ruth Chris, etc mine always come out ahead, But hey that is why you go out right? Not to cook. So for $26.00 or so the steak was what could be expected. A little thin but quality was good. Not too much grizzle. The garlic mash was good. My wifes sirloin actually looked better and in hindsight I should have ordered it. For out little guy, 5 year old, he had cheese sticks and liked them. A small but very nice gesture was we were offered a slice, very small at that, cheese cake due to it being our anniversary. It was really good and in the end the perfect size for us to share. On top of it all we were able to get 10% off due to Active Duty discount. This was very much appreciated. I think we will end up going back as I like to support local business. Total bill including wine and 10% discount was just under a $100.00.

We went for my sisters 30th Birthday. We made reservations for 7. They seated us as soon as we arrived. The server took our drink order and kept them full all night long. The ambiance was very relaxing and cozy. They had a piano player who was the entertainment. We loved hearing the back ground music of the piano man. Our food was delicious. We all ordered steak or fish. The steak was cooked perfectly to order. I recommend the filet. So tender and full of flavor. At the end of our meal they brought my sister a piece of cheesecake with a lit candle. It was a perfect ending touch to a wonderful night.

Now, let me explain myself. I would have given this place a 5 if the prices weren't so ridiculously high. I mean, don't they know we're all military here? Money doesn't grow on trees! Okay, so after a little bit (and by that i mean, a lotta bit) of day drinking it was about 8 o clock when i decided to take my boyfriend here for our last meal together (nothing serious, i'm just leaving for a while). I had been here before for a Office Party but didn't really get anything. The atmosphere's got his "old hollywood", piano playing, Sinatra "feel" to it - which i enjoy. Not many restaurants these days care about the atmosphere but when you take someone out - your paying for more than just the food. We were seated quickly and had a candle at our table so i thought that was romantic on top of the dim lighting and actual piano player in the background. We started off with some drinks, i had some red wine (pinot nior from Argentina - $6.50 but it wasn't my taste) . I did take a while to get our drinks before we even ordered but it gave us time to talk - you know, what grown ups do. Haha. Then we ordered. I ordered the Crab Cakes ($20) with a side of sweet potato and a caesar side salad which came with rolls. My boyfriend ordered the (not even kidding about the name :-) )Sarah's Filet Mingon ($28 - see what i'm saying?!) with veggies and a caesar as well. The salads came out in a good orderly fashion and quick too. Main meal: Scott's steak was DELICIOUS, but for $28 i should hope so! My crab cakes were awesome and for Clarksville - there are hardly any places that have crab cakes - not even red lobster!! They were a good size, about 3-4 inches in diameter and the sweet potato was enormous (covered almost the whole half of the plate). We stayed a little longer even after i had paid and no one bothered us. You know, two people in love is hard to interrupt. But it was a great experience and i would go again maybe for lunch and try more items on the menu. All in all it was about $60-$65 tab.

We LOVE Edwards!s It is the best date night restaurant in Clarksville! The lighting is very intimate and the piano sets the mood. But the food.....is always on point! I usually go for the crab cakes. They are so so yummy. But last night I tried the Tilapia. They were even nice enough to put the lemon basil beurre blanc sauce on it for me! And OH MY!!! It was melt in your mouth good!!!! My husband had the Hazel's New York Strip. He said that Edward's knows how to gook a steak! He loved every bite of it! But I want to give a pat on the back to our waiter. We sat upstairs at the bar and Chris, the bartender, took care of us all night! (He also took care of every drink order that came through the restaurant) He was the hardest working guy I have ever seen! He was nice and attentive the whole time and he never stopped working!!! Way to go Chris! Thanks for great service!! We will be back!

I don't normally write reviews, I just read them. However, I felt compelled to write this as I was so very disappointed with this establishment. First off, the server was great. Nice attitude and very attentive. I'm am a little disappointed that she didn't catch the mistakes made with the food before it made it to our table, as some were obvious. My husband and I started with the rolls, which largely remained uneaten. We think that they were yeast rolls that were not left out long enough prior to cooking. They basically just tasted like warm, hard thick dough. Luckily, our appetizer arrived a few minutes later. We ordered the sampler platter. The cheese sticks were good. The mushrooms and chicken had way too much batter though. The potato skins, which looked appetizing, had no seasoning whatsoever. Don't touch the salt shaker because it pours out like a faucet and rendered our once bland skins, indelible. The salads came out less than five minutes later. At this time, I asked the waitress to please hold off on bringing more food. Nothing to rave about here. The 4 croutons were pretty good though. Would have appreciated more than two small grape tomatoes and the small dash of grated cheese. The trend of fast food continued as our entrees arrived a few minutes later. My husband, who usually devours his food, couldn't even keep up. So, he too let his entree sit to the side on our already overcrowded table to try to finish some of the food already there. I'll start with his entree. He ordered the filet mignon with mac n cheese. He seemed to really enjoy both. The steak was cooked as ordered and flavorful. I, on the other hand made the mistake of ordering the trout on rice pilaf with broccoli. At first glance, I knew I'd made a mistake. Not sure if I can really describe how bad the fished looked sitting on top of a bed of what looked and tasted like mushy Minute Made white rice. I've never had rice pilaf that looked or tasted this way. The fish was disgusting. It was well over seasoned with what the waitress described as the chefs secret seasoning. The broccoli, however, was fresh and nicely seasoned. I couldn't stomach the fish, so the waitress offered to take it away and bring the salmon instead. I happily obliged. Not long after, the salmon appeared on what I can only assume was the same bed of white mushy rice that I'd just returned. The salmon didn't look appetizing at all. It had chunks of white curd oozing from it in several spots. The bourbon glaze was poured on one corner of the fish and the white mushy rice was drenched in it. The broccoli had not one drop of seasoning. I was more than disappointed and by this time ready to leave. The waitress was very apologetic, admitted that the food looked pretty bad and offered to have the manager/owner(?) come to the table. I refused, as I had already sent one plate back and didn't want to feel like a difficult customer. In retrospect, for the prices, I should have. Normally, when you send a dish back the second is cooked to perfection. I believe this chef was having a bad night. The waitress against my wishes, complained to the manager anyway. I wasn't upset about this. I thought it was nice that she seemed as disappointed with my experience as I was. Sadly, the manager decided against coming to our table though. At that point I realized that we would never give this establishment another chance. I asked for a to go box to pack up the salmon and broccoli. Figured I might be able to salvage them the next day. I made sure to leave the Minute Made rice behind. This meal was definitely not worth the $70 that we paid. Oh yeah, can't forget to mention the tip jar up front for the electric un-manned piano. Who does that?

Went there last night with my fiancé and his friend. We each ordered a glass of wine & the fried green beans. A little while later the waitress tells us the kitchen "lost" our order and it would be another few minutes. Eventually we received our fried green beans which were pretty tasty, I didn't try the dipping sauce bc it looked really creamy but everyone else seemed to like it. We then had our salads that came with the meals which were just salads nothing special. I ordered the bourbon glazed salmon with asparagus. The salmon itself wasn't bad-- however, my plate was drenched in oil from the asparagus I'm assuming, my "rice pilaf" was incredibly sweet. I asked the waitress for a new plate so I didn't have to eat a side of oil. I switched plates and informed her on the unpleasant taste of the rice. She came back and said the chef said "the rice has its own seasoning", but offered nothing else. My fiancé and his friend both had the Pete in the bone ribeye which was tasty but not cooked the way they asked. His friend had the Mac and cheese side which looked and tasted like it had cheez-wiz on it, and my fiancé had the garlic mashed potatoes that looked like they were sitting in warming pan for hours. I don't think I'll be back especially since in my opinion for the quality it was over priced. Service was good.

I wavered a bit between 2 and 3 stars for them. I went ahead and gave 3 mainly because Clarksville is so starved (pun totally intended) for any restaurant that's NOT a chain. My husband and I have been several times, so I've given it many chances. I'd go back again, but it's not in our regular rotation of restaurants. In fact, we've decided it's worth the gas to just drive to Nashville. Anyway, what's lacking is the quality of food compared to the prices, as some others have mentioned. However, I will highly recommend the fried green bean app, it's consistently wonderful. And for entrees, you won't go wrong with the crab cakes. Unfortunately the same can't be said for the salmon or filet. It's always too dry and overcooked. The decor needs re-thinking. I get that it's red and black for APSU, and the patriotic theme is cute, but... Please invest in an interior decorator and kick it up a notch. But before that, go to the drawing board and get your chefs some re-training on proper preparation for their expensive meals. I feel badly that I'm writing a negative review of them, because I truly do appreciate their uniqueness in a sea of franchises! I want to see them get better. I think part I'd the problem is that C-ville wouldn't know a 4 star restaurant if it crammed itself down their throats. And that's what Edwards should be, and wants to be. They're just not there...yet!

I really liked our experience at Edward's :) You pay for what you get. That being said, and to the previous post, they do offer a military discount of 10% to help with the costs and they also offer a meal for two that comes with two (delicious!) sirloin steaks, two sides (one each) and a side salad. The portions were large and we both left full. That's only $35 for the both of you. So, you can eat here for a little less than the $20-$30/person rate if you want to! The piano player was a great added addition! If you are going to the Roxy across the street, this restaurant is also very convenient.

My hands down favorite establishment in clarksville! The food is superb and actually really reasonably priced for the quality and downtown location. It's got a mild saloon-y vibe. The wine is great. I'm addicted to their fried green bean appetizer! I'm not a heavy meat eater but I've ordered a steak here and finished the whole thing- that good! The back of the restaurant is a floor higher (downtown is so hilly!) and has a small bar with some seating, tvs, a player piano which is sometimes played by a human, and a great bartender, don't know her name but she's working hard every time I go! You can order off the regular menu in the bar to. I've taken out of town guests here and they're all impressed. Highly recommend.

Went here a few months ago. Maybe I caught them on an off night, but my experience here was pretty lacking. After being seated, I ordered a draught of Yuengling. About 15 minutes went by before I saw my server again, who seemed bothered by the fact I was asking about my drink. She returned five minutes later to inform me that the Yuengling keg was dry and being replaced, so I opted for a Bud Light instead. Five minutes later I finally received my drink. The croutons on my caesar salad were stale. Finally, my steak was very plain, complete with a pretty unacceptable amount of gristle and burnt residue like the grill hadn't been cleaned in a while.

great little place for date night they do reservations which is great . the waiter didnt know how to explain the dishes, the salads are small but for the price for the meal it wasnt anything speical but the food was good. i order the bone in ribeye and my wife ordered the brisket plater and she didnt care for it. the drinks are over priced and not to good, they dont carry seasonal beers. they do offer a military and student discounts

I don't know why we've never tried Edward's until now, and I regret wasting so much time without giving them a shot. We ducked in last night in hopes of finding a great steak and we were not disappointed. The ribeye is incredibly tender and perfectly seasoned. All our sides were also delicious. No complaints about service either. Our waiter was the perfect balance of being attentive but not hovering over and interrupting our meal either. We'll definitely be back. The only con I can think of is possibly the price; it is on the higher side especially for Clarksville but the food and service were also high quality so the price seemed deserved. I'd really recommend Edward's for a a great date night experience.
