Ordered mozzarella sticks and when we got them they were literally empty lumps of breading with some cheese sticking out. When we complained they said they would make a new batch and brought out 3 "fresh" cheese sticks (an order is 6) that were also empty. Don't waste your time, don't waste your money, go to Universal Joint and I can't believe I'm actually saying this, but Buffalo Wild Wings would even be a better option. If you're lactose intolerant then Jefferson's might be your speed, but if you are accustomed to cheese in your cheese sticks then this isn't the place for you

This is the place my husband and I want to love, but they make it so hard. Service is AWFUL. Doesn't matter if it's a weekday/night, or weekend. Their wings are probably the best in town (especially the double dipped,) but when you have to wait 15 minutes to even get a water, it's quite frustrating. We go back every once in a while hoping for a different outcome, but no luck yet.

I was surprised by great service today. My waitress told me of today's specials and I was talked into it. She was nice and friendly and easy very easy to look at. I wanted bar b q today so, I got a bar b q sandwich with bar b q q sauce on it. You can choose between different sauces and that one caught my fancy. For my side, well, I got baked beans to go with my bar b q sandwich. It was a perfect combination. The food was great and was nothing less 5 stars. I definitely will be back here for their special or specials. They also have beer and alcohol here. They were having specials on beer the day of my visit. Whether, they have this every day or not, I don't know. All I can say is when you get here ask. Look for today's specials on the sign in front of the restaurant on the sidewalk . They had wings on special today but, like I said, I got bar b q. To me, they should rename this restaurant Jeffersons Bar B Q. That would be a way to represent what they sell here.

Worst burger I've ever had in my entire life. Beer was over priced and almost room temperature. Not pleased at all.

This is the third time I have been here. The first time there was a hair in my food. The second time, we waited 15 minutes on a very slow Sunday afternoon, and finally left due to no service. Today, yet another hair in my food. They offered free dessert. We declined. We won't be back.

The service was poor. Wait staff more concerned with texting then service. For an establishment considered to be a wing place the wings were small with little taste

We told the waitress that it was our first time coming in today. Because I didn't know how hot the wings would be, I went for the medium. I like them hot, but not so hot that it ruins the next several hours of your day. I was surprised that the wings have very little sauce on them and weren't even close to spicy. I asked for some more sauce, but upgraded to the hotter sauce. It wasn't much different. On top of that, the waitress charged me for the extra sauce and the extra ranch dressing. She could have told me that it was going to cost extra. Also, waitress took a while to come back to us once she knew we needed something for the wings... they cooled off considerably by the time she got back to us. Bottom line... I've had better and been served better. With so many great places in Chattanooga, I would recommend that you go somewhere else for hot wings.

See, I love me some Shawanda M (we go back to Atlanta days, so I speak from experience that this girl rocks) - and I love me some *neighborhood* spots. I live a few blocks away from Jefferson's, off MLK, just beside the UTC campus. Heard lots about it, yada yada. Alas. Saturday was my first visit. And, probably, unless someone else I adore insists/and/or/is/paying...my last. I went about 330ish, and noted the sign on all the outdoor tables (it was sooo pretty, how could I NOT want to sit outside) that said to ask inside for help if you wanted patio seating. Cool. Till - not cool. I asked about a patio table and was told to go ahead and sit, someone would be right out. I sat. And waited. And waited. And waited. My to-go water from work finished, I got up and went in to look for someone. About ten guests inside, scattered between tables; no bartender (ie the one I originally spoke to, or servers). I grabbed a menu and went back outside. A few minutes later, I went inside again. I wasn't in a hurry but I was getting annoyed, so I played a time game - if my watch hit the next five minute mark, I'd go inside again. So, when the next five of however many minutes came...I went in again. As I went to the bathroom, I waved at the bartender, now back, and said "You forgot me!" with a fake smile. She pretended to be apologetic. I returned outside to collect my things, just as the first of FOUR waves of tween dancers and their parents/entourage peeps, from a competition down the street, began arriving. Holy cow- when I went inside to return the menu I'd picked up - I was trying to be nice - and saw the swarm of young and old bodies now covering nearly every table inside, and as I walked out also noted the two unwitting older couples who'd gotten patio tables right at the same time....hope no one was in a hurry. Oh, and they have crinkle fries. No dice. Two not one stars just for the nice patio tables, and because I spent so many words on this review. One neighborhood spot crossed of this girl's list.

We enjoyed our visit so much the first time (lunch) that we went back for dinner!

Very good food....HORRIBLE service. Never going back. Our waiter was friendly initially, but never came back... even to bring us our food, refills or check. Someone else brought our food., which took quite a while. We were seated outside and I know the initial waiter was still working because I could see him occasionally inside through the glass.

Me and my fiancées first time here walked in and stood to be seated for about 10 minutes, bartender and waitress notice us and says " oh you can sit wherever you want" Wow would have been great if you said that to us the first time. I Ordered fried pickles which were horrible they told us The other half of our order was coming, I told them to keep them. Order extra fries never got them, they charged me for them.... I gave them one star cause the burger was good. Would have been nice to have mayo but getting the waitress attention was like trying to get a wall to sing this was horrible will never come back again

Listen, this place is super-convenient to where I live...meaning it's downstairs. So, it gets points simply because it's there. However, it's not the most amazing greasy, diner-ish food I've had. I've never had an issue with the staff - they've always been very helpful and nice. They do have wing and beer specials during the weekend so that's always lovely. However, the food leaves a lot to the imagination I generally try to keep it simple (and the same) by always ordering a shrimp basket or a Philly chicken sandwich. I've learned that in a lot of places like this, if you stick to what you know and don't stray to other parts of the menu, you're much better off. Just trust me. They do karaoke one night (sorry, can't remember which night) but I'm not sure if that's a good or a bad thing...hmmm.

My husband and I have ate here for lunch with no issues before but that wasn't the case last night. If you have to wait for a table I recommend trying another place because they're under staffed and do not pay attention to events in their area. We stopped to eat before a concert next door. Waited for a table to open up, no issues. Once we got an open table we sat there for 30 minutes with the previous patrons food. At this point I had stopped to ask two waitresses for help, the response I get "ya, I work here". No help. I then tried calling the restaurant to place a to go order. No luck, I probably called over 10 times and never received an answer. I never seen a manager on duty.. Long story short we were seating for over an Hr and never received food. We finally left. My point, if they look busy try somewhere else, they are not capable of scheduling correctly.

Is this place 5 stars? No. Is it a great place to relax after work? Yes! When the weather is nice, sit outside on a tree lined street and watch the world go by, with a Heineken in your hand. During the day, it's all the corporate types, but in the evening, it's regular folks. Good service.

I recieved wonderful service in a nice, clean and relaxed atmosphere. The buffalo chicken wrap, fried mushrooms, and hot wings are my favorites.

The atmosphere was pretty chill and the beer pitchers weren't too expensive. Those were the only things I liked about Jefferson's. I met up with some friends there, and we ended up with a group of 8. We waited about 15 minutes before someone even acknowledged us so we could order water and beer pitchers. It took another 10 minutes to actually receive those beverages. And the pitchers came with like one cup a piece...a separate girl came around another 5 minutes later with a stack of cups to check everyone's IDs. Woohoo! Thirst quenched in 30 minutes! The food came about 30 minutes after the drinks arrived, which wasn't too bad (we had 6 total food orders but it's burgers and wings). The real problem was that one girl ordered an appetizer because she wanted something quick, and it came after the entrees, and nobody on staff seemed to care or think that it was an issue. A passing "sorry" by the server was all we got. But hey, I'm probably just a snob. It was like $12 for a burger and a pitcher, so what should I have expected? That's not a bad deal for what we got, I guess the service just ruined the experience.

This place is what it is..... greasy bar food with nascar on every tv. The service was polite and timely. I got the 2 hot dog basket with fries and a mellow yellow for a mere $5.45. I left with a full belly and a smile on my face.
