Outback is a staple for our family, so tonight we figured we would try the local one. The new waiting list feature from their website is an excellent addition, and our upfront wait was under ten minutes. After being seated, service was relatively slow. We tried to order but our waitress darted away before we had the opportunity. After a good ten minutes she finally came and took our order. The wait for our actual meals was more on the magnitude of 20 to 25 minutes. Normally slow meal preparation is okay, but this was borderline ridiculous. Luckily, when it finally arrived, it was hot and very good (I ordered the Alice Spring chicken). While the wait time knocked it down a star, the rest of the meal was excellent. I still thoroughly enjoy Outback's environment, and this location is no different.

Friday night and only a 10 minute wait at 7:00pm. Great start to the evening. Pecan blue cheese chopped salad, coconut shrimp (killer) and Allison Springs Chicken is enough food for both my wife and me. Splitting meals at places like this works because it is so much food. No complaints.

This place has really gone down hill in the past year. It use to be great food and for a good price. The last two times my family and I have gotten take-out it's been very disappointing. The potatoes have been way undercooked. They are still hard and difficult to open. One time I got one that was completely brown/black inside. So it's either undercooked or cooked for so long it starts to become mush and brown. We normally only get baked potatoes and their side salads so it's not even the meat. I'd hate to try that. Overall just very tired of the lack of consistency and the rapid decline this place has had in the last year.

I like the atmosphere with the new decor not as dark as I remember. However, the food is just ok. We started with a blom'n onion, it was very good well prepared. I have the burger (it was lunch and I did not want a giant piece of meat) Burgers lacked seasoning and I order with american and got cheddar fries were limp and old My wifes filet sand looked good and her broccoli was fresh . My margarita was over priced for the size. Will come back for dinner some time, but not for lunch better options are available in the Cool Springs area.

Everyone arriving for lunch today was made to wait 5 minutes to be seated, even though plenty of open seating. Wife's pasta was tasteless and served in a small dish. I ordered Caesar salad and was given a side salad. Iced tea overpriced at $2.80. Will not go back.

I'm not a big steak fan but my fiance is so we tend to frequent Outback every once in a while. Didn't care much for the setup but the food was very good! I had the pork chop meal and my fiance had a steak as usual which she seemed to enjoy! Waiter was very friendly but took forever to return with our order and was kinda scarce when it came to refilling our drinks and just checking on my table in general. I don't hold that against them cause hell it was busy and the wine kept me nice and relaxed until our food came. Will return...

I have to say this is a first. 7:30 on a Tuesday night. I said to myself that I would like a nice piece of prime rib. I stop at the outback and they are totally out of prime rib.!! How does this happen? They are Sooooo busy that they sold out? Nope. They ran out. Talk about not planning for the business that they could have had. This place has really gone down hill over the past few years. I know Blooming Onion corporate cares only about numbers so I will pose my question to them. Remember when this outback was on an hour wait every night and double on Weekends? What happened? Too bad. I really liked it here.

This Outback is okay. I've been to this location several times (and to other Outbacks all over the country many times over the years). The waiting area at this particular Outback is way too small. It looks like they added more booths in what used to be waiting space. They do allow their version of "call ahead seating," but it doesn't really work well. They will give you a time to arrive (ours was +45 minutes from call time), and they say you will wait 20 minutes after you arrive to be seated. However, we showed up in 45 minutes, as requested, then had to wait another 40 minutes for a table. I'm not sure our wait was much shorter than the walk-ins, so the call-ahead doesn't really work well, at least not on a weekend evening. The food was prepared properly, which was nice. Our server was good. Overall, this location, like most Outbacks, generally feels like it is slowly sliding down-market a bit. Heck, they've not updated the interior of this place in 10 or more years, have they? That same boomerang is still on the wall...

I just wanted a decent piece of meat. WORST OUTBACK EVER!!!!!!!! I've been to the chain all over the US and I've never been so disappointed in a meal. I would have rather gone through a drive thru for a burger. It was NOT busy so I don't understand why the service was so slow. I ordered the ribeye, I probably will not be able to put my shoes on tomorrow because of all the salt/seasoning salt crap they dipped/bathed my steak in. Spend the extra dollars and head to Stoney for a wonderful meal and super service. I've been using Yelp for a few years and this is my first review, that's how disappointed I am.

The service was a bit slow as we waited to get waited on. The butter was frozen like a rock... why? The mahi was good. The potato was old and we had to get another one. All in all, it was OK. Not great, just OK.

After having a bad experience at one location in the past, I was hesitant to return here but decided to after some friends of mine invited me and my fiancee along for a birthday dinner (for one of the friends). Although there was a long wait (about 45 minutes, but considering it was on a Friday I didn't mind), the staff was very accommodating, even coming outside to give us samples of their Aussie Cheese Fries...which were delicious! The meal was very good and our waitress was super nice, answering all of our questions for us very patiently and even giving good suggestions. The food can be kinda pricey, so it may be awhile before I return again, but I would recommend this place to my friends. :)

Went in for dinner tonight with my family. I always ALWAYS order the Alice Springs Chicken but decided to go for a yummy steak. After all, we were at a steakhouse. It was absolutely the worst steak I have ever had. I think I could go to Shoneys and have a better steak. A New York Strip has very little fat, but this one was all fatty. And my knife, the kind you used to steal in college, didnt even cut it. It literally tore through my medium steak. I was so incredibly disappointed. The plus was the Bleu cheese pecan chopped salad. That salad was awesome. I remember when Outback was the place to go and you would wait two hours to eat because it was that good. I wouldnt wait two minutes for the steak I got tonight

I have to agree with another poster about the attitude of the bartenders. A smile and a nice word go a long way. She just asked me with a scowl on her face what i wanted to drink and delivered it without a word and didnt even look at me. That was how she was the whole time. The guy was about the same, nice thing about him was he forgot to ring up my drink. When I told them the app was a freebie due to a promotion he gave me a look and said," I'll look into it" and then brought back my credit card statement without the ticket and didnt say a word, no thank you, come back and see us, have a good night, nothing. When I asked for my ticket ( i need it to seperate the drinks from the food for my records) they didnt say a word, acted like I was bothering them. As for the steak, I have noticed this for a while. They have to be using a low grade meat. It was cooked medium rare as ordered but really tough. Glad we have many other options in the area.

Normally I have a decent experience but a recent lunch visit was not good at all.: Poor service and a wait of 30 minutes to get our food. Lunch is new to this location but the volume of patrons was low so my expectation for quality service was high.

Came here with my dad a few days ago for an early dinner/late lunch around 4:30? There was no wait (which was a first for me, hah) so we were immediately seated! Our waiter was a nice fellow and immediately brought us our drinks (though he switched them, but Diet Coke and Mr. Pibb are a super similar color). We definitely took advantage of the free wheat bread; THAT STUFF IS DELICIOUS. I ordered one of their 6 oz. steaks Medium Well with a side of their seasonal veggies and sweet potato fries. My dad got a 9 oz. Victoria (I think) filet Medium and a sweet potato. My steak was cooked to perfection (brava Outback Chefs) and my veggies were good, but I was disappointed with the fries. They were cooked fine, but there was salt and pepper all over them and while I could taste the sweet potato, I could still very much taste the seasonings. My dad's steak was SOOOOO incredibly juicy and tender (I'm drooling now) and his sweet potato was fantastic! I will definitely return.

Chain restaurants typically have to go way above and beyond to get a grade above a 3 from me. Outback is my exception. Bloomin' Onion and cheese fries gets a bonus star everytime. Fortunately these guys back it up with solid service.

My family and I went here for a late Father's day dinner. My dad was really wanting a steak, and cheese fries, so we decided to go here. First things first- Their Cheese fries.... AMAZING! I would for sure go back for these and the Bloomin' Onion. i find that these 2 items are their staple items, and they prepare these really well. In the past, We've eaten at outbacks where we ask them not to bring out dinner until after the appetizer is finished, and it never fails! we get the appetizer and then the salads come out almost 2 mins after getting the fries. So we held off on even putting our order in. finally the server asked us if he could take out order and then all we would have to do is tell him when to put it in. worked for us. so we finally ordered after we were through our appetizer. the salads... my oh my. is lettuce so expensive that you can't fill a bowl? i am paying $3 bucks for this... it wasn't a bad salad, but it defiantly left something to the imagination. There may have been about 1cup of lettuce, and 1 oz of cucumbers cut so small i didn't know what they were. the only good thing about the salad is the croutons. my mom ordered the full rack, with a sweet potato. my dad ordered a 9 oz filet butterflied, with garlic mashed potato. I ordered chicken on the barbie, with the steamed veggies. my mom was the only person who enjoyed her meal. my chicken was less then good. it was at most, edible. The veggies were good, although i got broccoli that had the longest steams, and were tough so eating them was out, a 2 slices of summer squash. yay Now we came here for my dad for father's day so he could have a steak. HE GAVE UP ORDERING STEAKS AT OTHER STEAKHOUSES FOR THIS DINNER. with that said, when ordering the server straight out told my dad if he ordered the 6 oz, he wouldn't get much steak. so he ordered the 9 oz.. out it came. my dad ordered it medium well, so there should have been a slight pink center... nope. none. what he did get in the center was a good big hunk of fat! yummy he will never say so, but you could tell this was the most pathetic filet he's had. there was not amazing flavors, nothing. just a small piece of meat, sitting pathetically on a plate next to one scoop of garlic mashed potatoes.... very sad... all in all... pros: cheese fries, and blooming onion cons: anything else.

Growing up there was an Outback Steakhouse down the street from where I lived in Houston. I had been there a few times with my family but found them to be nothing special. Moreover, at the time the running joke was that in Australia, the locals go to Outback for American food. My, how times have changed this chain. What used to be a ho-hum steakhouse is now actually quite good. Within the past 6 to 7 years I have only been back to Outback 3 times (a different location each time), but I must admit that they have steadily improved. For starters, the decor is much nicer and makes more sense. Also, their signature appetizer, The Bloom'n Onion (similar to the now long gone Awesome Blossom at Chili's) is actually really good. My fiance and I went with some friends for a birthday, and along with this rather tasty fried onion, I had a steak with potato soup and green beans. The soup came nice and hot and was full of plenty of potato, bacon and cheese (no such thing as to much cheese). The green beans were perfectly cooked and seasoned, with just the right amount of crunch. Finally, the steak was actually well cooked and seasoned, in all honesty just as good as if I had made it myself (My friends tell me that I make a very good steak). My fiance got their parmesan pasta, which tasted amazing (I got to try a few bites), so good that it is the best I have had at a non-Italian chain restaurant. As for our waitress, Andrea, was top notch and my tip reflected that. I was very impressed with her knowledge of the menu and her patience with all of us. The birthday boy, a friend of mine and my fiance's, questioned her at length about the dish he was interested in ordering. She answered all his questions and concerns politely and (from what I could tell) in a knowledgeable manner, providing additional suggestions as needed. And here I thought I was a foodie, this friend of mine takes the cake. Because of how well she handled all of his questions and concerns, I could not help but tip her well. My only complaint is that the prices seemed a little high for the portion size, but for the most part the quality of the food more than made up for it. I hope to return soon, because this place has really come of age, like the good steaks they serve.

Outback curbside takeaway has been a decent choice for when we don't want to eat out or fix a last-minute meal at home. I have been to this restaurant twice and both times they messed up the order. When you prepare a take-out order, it's important to get it right since the customer will probably only learn of the mistake after they get home and a return trip would be a major inconvenience. I'm not in the restaurant industry but it seems to me that order accuracy would be critical to success of this part of the business. Little things like incorrect salad dressing, missing condiments, etc. can ruin a dining experience.

Eh....... this place was all the rage n the early 90s. Anymore it's just okay. If I were passing through on the interstate and wanted to hop off and grab a bite to eat I'd probably do it. But I live near it, pass by it all the time, but never give a second thought about stopping and eating. Part of it is the fact that they really only open for dinner anymore. That, and I think the whole Australian fascination has passed now. Right?

Let me start by saying, we love Outback and have been eating at Outback for years! This visit did not meet our expectations of what the normal Outback standards are. Tonight we chose Outback for the potato soup. We ordered our drinks and the usual bloomin' onion and were told when the waitress came back to take our order they were not serving potato soup that day. Bummer and strike one. She asked if we'd like to substitute the chicken tortilla and we declined. Bread was served along with my salad and the chicken tortilla soup...waste of food as it was sent back without being touched. I ordered a 6oz filet with mushroom sauce and my husband ordered the filet with crab legs. My filet came to the table without the mushroom sauce (our waitress noticed the mistake and promptly brought a side of sauce to the table) and the crab legs were not cooked fresh to order. I believe the crab legs had been cooked previously in the day and placed in a warmer because the smaller parts of the legs were dried and shriveled up. Our waitress was very apologetic with the mistakes and did her best to right the wrong. She even packaged a to go chocolate thunder at no charge.

I enjoyed the food, but the prices are just about 20% too high at Outback. The cost for a beverage is also close to $3.00 which is insane. The server done a good job as fas as checking on us, but he had the personality of droopy the dog. Steak cooked perfectly medium. The crab legs portion was quite small though. The ribs were very tasty, fell off the bone. With the cost of a rack of ribs here, they should definitely include a salad though, but they don't. Just one side. Food was hot and cooked well. Place was clean also, which is a plus.

Outback is a 3. They are a very good three. I cant believe with all the people eating here that no one as ever reviewed this place. My wife and i stop in here periodically and we never have a bad meal. Its clean, the staff is friendly and it lives up to the expectations of a well run franchise. The food is quick and the atmosphere is just as you would expect. we will continue to return when we want, simple, quick, easy reliable and consistent food at a reasonable price.

Just ate at Outback in Brentwood...should have stayed home. Service so slow, almost asked server if he had to go to Australia. Food quality....really! One of our dining members had to send steak back due to over cooked. Replacement not much better when it finally arrived. My own food was playing hide and seek with me underneath over sized bread until I dismantled the dish. What happened to the enjoyable dining out experience?
