Mexican Cuisine
If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.
Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.
Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.

Me and the girlfriend have a ritual on Monday night... We go to the YMCA and then go get fatty mcgatty burritos at Moe's and cheese dip and drinks, thus negating any positive effects of working out... YAY! for being a Fat American!!! I kid, I kid... I get up at dawn and do ten miles every day of the week, so going to work out on Monday nights is just icing on the cake of my body adonis :) I deserve a big mama burrito.... Never had a problem with the service, Everyone is nice and seem to enjoy working there... My girlfriend likes to see me order the Joey with chicken and then get a ton of toppings and seeing if the person making it can actually close the burrito.... They do... Because they're awesome, but it's always busting at the seams... The way it should be... I like going and hearing this one girls voice that works there. She always prepares my burritos on Monday nights and is a sweet girl, but she sounds like she just swallowed a ton of helium... So, not only do I get a fat @ss burrito, I get entertained in the process.... A couple of tips... Stay away from the steak... As a man, I feel like I have to order steak at all times... No matter where... It's just the manly thing to do... Most people, who are pretentious and idiotic go ' gluten free please!!! ' because it makes them seem important and special... me, I'm gluten indulgent... Give me all your excess gluten, i don't give a sh*t... I'm a gluten hoarder....I dont even know if steak has gluten in it, I don't even care, I'm just making a point about being a man.... Tangent officially over... Anyways, the Moe's steak is a little fatty and tough... The chicken, however, never disappoints and the girlfriend or significant other will be all like ' oh look, he's eating healthy ' and maybe she'll give you some loving later... And, go Monday nights - they have a burrito, drink and chips and salsa deal, and if you use your receipt survey from your last visit, you get 2 extra dollars off... It's the best deal ever... I think Moe's should do advertisements called ' great MOEments made even better with Moe's ' .... Like show Abraham Lincoln giving the Emancipation Proclamation and have everyone cheering and then he grabs a Moe's burrito and takes a big bite and they all go into hysterics.. Have John McClane save everyone at Nakatomi plaza and as he's walking out, the police are clapping, someone throws him a moe's burrito and he takes a big bite and everyone loses it... Have Johnny from Karate Kid, in that iconic scene with him and Ralph Macchio, and Macchio get in the crane kick position.... Johnny is holding a Moe's burrito in his hand, Macchio goes to kick him, hits the burrito, the burrito flies up in the air and lands in Macchio's mouth... Then he eats it, people go crazy and he gets to go kiss Elisabeth Shue... WIN/WIN/WIN... I'm a marketing genius.... Anyways... Blue Coast fails in comparison to Moe's and this location is one of the better ones in the Nashville area... Oh! and don't trust anyone reviewing this lace whose a vegetarian... thats like an atheist reviewing a church... come on.... also, never trust men who are vegetarians... That's just not right

This is a really busy Moe's. It's filled with a lot of young kids, too--not that there's anything wrong with that, but it must be the hip place to hang out. The line can be long on Saturday nights, but the staff does an excellent job getting people through the line.

Great lunch place. Best tacos in the Maryland Farms area. If they simplified the menu, I'd give it 5 stars. Great service, everything is customizable! Steak & chicken are moist and flavorful. Excellent portions too.

I've generally had decent experiences with Moes when they've catered local events or getting chicken burritos in the restaurant. Today I had a 3.5 experience....but I'm going to overlook it for the 4.2 to 4.4 experiences I've had in the past with this Moes and others.

It's a decent spot to go when the kids are with you. Easy in and out and the food is ok and not too expensive. The salsas are great...ask for extra chips.

Can't go wrong with Moe's! Great experiences every time I go! I love the chicken nachos!

Food is good, place has been dirty every time I've been and the last time I went was before the lunch hour rush so it probably should have been spotless. People were friendly, food was tasty, it was dirty enough that I would not bring anyone there for meetings, to talk over lunch, etc. I'll skip details of the bathroom. That's about it - it's Moe's food combined with post-lunch-rush-prison cleanliness. Could have just been the times I ate in, but it did seem just sort of out of place. Lines out the door, trash overflowing by the time I left, etc. No hate, just needs cleaning.

"Welcome to Moe's!" they shout, as soon as you enter. (I think they mean it, too!) I've had lunch here several times and never had a bad choice. Today, I opted for the "Homewrecker": a big, honkin' flour burrito crammed full of steak, black beans, rice, lettuce, sour cream, guacamole, cheese and pico de gallo (also available with pork, ground beef, chicken or tofu.) All ingredients are fresh and packed with great flavor. - always a GREAT burrito...among the very best I've ever had! (and filling, too!) Also, their chips are made fresh and have a good flavor and crispness. Finally, I like the choices of spicy and mild salsas. Just two nits: - Salsa service. I HATE having to fill three or four small containers to meet my needs. I'd prefer to have a choice of a larger container. Also, the area is too small to permit you to comfortably set your meal and drink down while dispensing without fear of being nudged by another or passing customer. More elbow room in the salsa area would be great. - Cleanliness. It seems that the tail-end of the lunch hour gets greeted with a bit of a mess on the floors beneath the booths. It would be great to have Moe be more mindful of cleaning underneath, as well as on top. I'm not too crazy about tracking someone else's lunch back into my car! Sweep it up, Moe!

Tony and I went to Moe's Southwest Grill for lunch. They sent me a coupon via their Eclub for my birthday...it was for a free entree. We went to Moe's and it was very nice and large in there but very crowded. A lot of people in there especially at lunch time. It is a lot like subway, you tell them what you want on the burrito or taco, or you can get a salad or queso..they all come with chips and salsa and for a little extra you can get some cheese dip. Tony took the steak Queso with cheese, black beans, rice, onions, mushrooms, green peppers, salsa, tomatoes and corn. I had the chicken burrito with chicken, cheese, black beans and rice with tomatoes, quacamole , sour cream, jalapeno peppers and onions. It was very good. very large!!! At the salsa bar, there are five or six different salsas to choose from. some very hot and some very mild..but pretty good. It was a little expensive and didn't have a broad beer selection so he had to take corona extra and I had a coca cola. they did have the limes. It cost $14.65 with taxes even with the $8 free burrito..so it is a little expensive. a Little expensive for the food quality.

Moe's is one of those shopping center restaurants. . They serve Tex-Mex and the style of service is 'cafeteria' There is a menu selection board to choose from and then you tell the line worker what you'd like and how you'd like it. They have a salsa bar too which is nice. The food is fresh, not particularly inspired but it's decent enough. Everything is about the same: some sort of plain or fried tortilla bowl with your choice of black beans, re-fried beans and the usual tomato-guac-onion-lettuce-cheese toppings in various formats. Really, there are no real surprises. I'm a bigger fan of Chipotle.

If you know Moe's, you know the food already. I'm reviewing this particular location. It's filthy. If you go early, it's okay, but they just don't keep up with it. My kids love this place, so I'm basing this observation on many, many visits over the last four years or so. Go in there at 12:30 pm? It looks like somebody dumped a whole tray of nachos under most of the tables. The table tops all have drips of salsa, cheese, and other stuff. I know Mexican food can be messy, I just expect somebody who works there to wipe the tables as needed. I've been to other Moe's and will tell you most are cleaner.

Out of all of the burrito places, I like Moe's the most. It's not that they are doing anything drastically different from the other 10 burrito places. It's that I feel their food quality, taste, level of service, and prices are exactly where they should be for a fast food burrito place. The prices are especially good on Mondays. You can get a great deal on a burrito, chips, and a drink. The salsa bar is always free as I feel it should be. It's just one of the perks of going to a Mexican restaurant and it is expected. I especially like that there are several options for salsa and they get changed frequently. For those that don't know, Moe's is your typical counter service "make your own" burrito joint. You go to the counter, tell them you want a burrito, a bowl, a salad, or tacos; then you proceed down the line picking out ingredients. Add chips & a drink and you've got a meal for under $10.00. It's a wonderful formula that gets even better when you realize there is a salsa bar. If you approach Moe's with the right attitude, you won't be let down. Take it for what it is: a counter service burrito joint with reasonable prices. Oh and don't be surprised when you walk in the door and hear all of the employees yelling "Welcome to Moe's!!"

While the quality of all the Moe's locations are equally good, tonights experience stuck out in my mind a little more than a typical chain restaurant visit. First, as with all my visits to Moe's, the food here is so fresh, it is like they have a farmer's market or something. The steak and chicken are nice, tender and perfectly marinated. The veggies are fresh and full of flavor, and the guacamole is super fresh. I often get the quesadilla, nachos or the new stackers (which puts Taco Bell's equivalent to shame). However, tonight I decided to join my fiance and try her usual, two soft tacos with chips and queso. I however got steak with guacamole(I think they forgot my mushrooms and onions), and they were so good. That begs the question, why do places like Moe's and Chili's charge extra for guacamole but not for sour cream, makes no sense to me. Anyway the food was extremely good as always. If you ever get the chance to go by there and you want lots of cheese, get the nachos or the Quesadilla. If you want layers of flavor, then get the stackers. And if you want a mish-mash, get the tacos. No matter what the food is so good and their queso.... oh my, it is so good. I usually take the small bits of chips that I am left with at the bottom of the basket and mix them into the last bit of queso in the cup and eat the concoction with a spoon, in order to get the last drops of queso from the container. Tonight though our service was overall reasonably good as they not only gave us the customer greeting, but out sever was eager and ready to take our orders and prepare them for us. Though it will take little convincing, I will eventually return to Moe's for more as their food is just SO GOOD!

Come here on a regular basis. Food is good. And they give you a fair amount with your Oder so you will not leave hungry. Currently I am stuck on the John Cosctostan. It is a quesadilla. and you get chops. The have a salsa bar as well. But the one thing that keeps bringing me back and makes this a 4/5 is the service. Very friendly. I like it and I think you will as well.

The always clean Moes serves up sizable burritos, and burrito bowls. I wouldn't mind the quesadillas a bit bigger, but the Green salsa is AWESOME!!! Stay away during lunch between 11:45 and 12:45 PM, you won't find a table, and it will take you a considerable amount of time to get your food. Go Early!

This place was pretty cool. Nice atmosphere on par with any of the Qdoba-esque chain places. A bit on the expensive side, but the food was good. Had a quesadilla & a chicken taco plus some chips & queso. All very decent. Note: the tacos are on corn tortills and don't hold up well for carry out :( While & wouldn't go out of my way to frequent this place alot, it is a good option for a quick southwest fix.

When my office has Sales meetings, they bring in a catered lunch. When Moe's is the caterer of choice, those of us not in Sales lurk outside the conference room waiting for a go at the leftovers and descend on the chafing dishes like sharks on fresh kill. The chips are light and crunchy, the tortillas never too dry. The fresh salsa is spicy, but it's not heat for the sake of heat, there's plenty of flavor--and not too much cilantro. They also have a couple other sauces made with sour cream that, despite the coolness of the dairy, still have some bite to them. I've assembled both chicken and beef burritos and the spices are lovely, and even in the haul from Brentwood to my office, the meat doesn't dry out. I can't comment on atmosphere or parking or service, as I've only had their food catered. From this alone, I'd say it's worth the trip.

I love the Moe's chain but this one is lacking. I'm not sure how or why but things are different here. The chips are not the multicolored that I expect from Moe's. And, the queso tastes exactly like the melted cheese they use for nachos at the ballpark. It's also packed with families, which if you like is good, but if you don't can be irritating. The burritos are up to par with the chain's honor though and still give me a Moe's fix when I need it.

Typical Moe's fare, awesome burritos and other tex-mex-esqe food. If you've eaten at one Moe's then you're used to the "Welcome to Moe's" greeting at the door and the fast service through the line. Well this location failed to even meet those expectations. Don't get me wrong, the food was enjoyable but the rest of the experience wasn't the best. There was an over abundance of employees but they weren't really doing anything it seemed. Some were just walking around, others eating and the two that were suppose to be taking our order were yelling at each other how "ratchet" each one was. Yeah, okay, whatever I just want my food. The assembling of our food was painstakingly slow and one of the employees on the line just left the poor girl prepping the food by herself after awhile. Drink machine is the usual Coke freestyle machine and they of course had the free salsa bar, although a couple of the salsas were at the bare bottom of the bowl. Seating is very abundant and spacious, which was nice compared to other locations. Bathroom was awful, very dark and unorganized as well as sweltering hot/ muggy. Overall this is an average Moe's but definitely not as amazing as my coveted location in the Boro.
