Yep. A strip mall in Bellevue is worth your time. In addition to housing a beer, wine & spirits store you should check out (with another one across the street; one of the best in the metro), there's Publicity. As one of the few gastropubs (are these still a thing? I remember that Chicago used to be loaded with them) in the Nashville metro area, they've got a pretty good thing going on and the lack of competition does them well. Even if they had a bevy of competitors, Publicity could stand tall with its beer program and food offerings... And, happy hour. I found myself in Bellevue on a cold Wednesday afternoon and I knew I wanted a beer. A quick tap-tap-tap on my Yelp app and I 'found' Publicity. Better yet, though, I 'found' that the pub offers happy hour from 3-6. Discounted prices on booze and food? Sign me up! I started things off with a chocolate-orange porter. I'd never had one and the season was right for porters AND it was happy hour... so, why not? It was an interesting brew. I don't know that I'd order it again, but I had two that day. Because, happy hour. In addition to happy hour, Publicity offers a variety of theme days (wine, 2-for-1s). I hope this is due to a whimsical management and not because they have to resort to tricks to get butts in seats. For our appetizer, we opted for the poutine. 1.) Fries with stuff on 'em is always a good order and 2.) When it's cold, you can eat what you want... the fattier and more decadent, the better. It's a rule. The poutine here, for being nowhere near Montreal, was positively decent. I enjoyed it and would order it again. Since I'd said 'eff it' to my diet, I went all in and ordered the fish & chips. I received two Flinstone-sized pieces of breaded cod (flakey, buttery and crunchy from the breading) and a tartar sauce that was dense enough to hold up to the fish. I am not a fan of most white, creamy sauces but make them runny? Nope. I'm out. Because I couldn't get the voice of my GP out of my head, I subbed a salad for the chips... but I topped it with blue cheese dressing. I can't help myself. Publicity may not be enough to make me drive out to Bellevue (it's a decent drive) but when I'm in the area (as I tend to be), it's definitely enough to keep me out there. My service experience was positive. I liked the wood booths and 'publicity' angle of the menu. And, I think it's important to realize that the Nashville metro has so much to offer outside of a few neighborhoods that get written about by outside newspapers. Lastly, how many gastropups does Nashville have? Shouldn't you go out and try one?

I love the food here! Always a 10 out of 10 for me! My only complaint is the level of service I've received multiple times. When dining at the bar, the bartender was slow to notice me (I was one of three people at the bar) and took several mins to get menus for me. Once my drink order was put in, it took way too long for what I ordered. It was a bottle of beer that had to be poured into a pint glass. It sat on the bar top until she completed a martini and cocktail for the two other patrons. I understand a mental queue, however if a drink takes two seconds you complete that beverage first. I sat for around ten mins trying to make eye contact with Marina. She avoided it and talked non stop with her other guests; she made most of the conversation with ample opportunities to pause and check in with me. I felt ignored. It also appeared that she was purposely not making eye contact walking back and forth in front of me. I finally had to interject and place my order. She asked me if garlic fries were okay, then asked me again five mins later when she finally put my order in at the computer. The rest of my time was like that. Asked if I needed my check without asking first if I needed anything else-assumed she was done with serving me. And also slapped my card and receipt down without saying anything. I said thank you and she said you're welcome. Not impressed in the slightest. Overall food was fantastic, and the manager who brought it to me made sure I was taken care of. If those skills could be transferred to the bartender that would make this experience perfect.

Easily one of if not my favorite place to eat in Nashville right now. 5th avenue selections on a Main Street budget- Chef Nick puts his heart into his unique creations. The Lima Bean Hummus is outstanding (coming from someone who hates lima beans AND hummus), Meatloaf is another of my favorites as is The Standard (a giant burger with bacon and a farm fresh egg) They have a Weekend brunch, and drink specials almost every day -- don't even get me started on the beer selection (only about 8 taps but ALWAYS getting in new and unique brews -- flight night is the best - 4 pours starting around $5! You can't beat it! Cocktail list is great - the 5 Day Forecast is freaking amazing (made with house infused Habenero Vodka). Have I mentioned they use local farm fresh ingredients in most of their dishes... ? Perhaps the best part of this little gem is knowing you're supporting local business and family. Owners changed hands about a year ago and they are amazing - a sweet little family that pays extraordinary attention to detail. If for some reason your food/experience is anything less than stellar they will absolutely make it right. If you're still reading this, stop what you're doing - get in the car - and drive there right now!!

The new owners have done this place justice. Nick the chef always coming up with great specials. The stuff he creates his beyond me. I love the food, the atmosphere, the beer selection is absolute on point. Good job guys. The wait staff is amazing very knowledgeable.

Came here with my wife and a friend. My wife and I had salads, and my friend had fish tacos. The fish tacos were like $18. Pretty expensive for the area, I think. The service was a bit shoddy. Just lackadaisical. Everybody was friendly, but just a touch disorganized. The salads were really good, and my friend liked the tacos. We ordered Yazoo beers, and only after we ordered them, did we notice they were not on tap. We were ordering local to get these on tap, and getting them in a bottle was a little meh. Overall, can't complain about the food, but the service was just not that great.

Wow!!! Great food! Had truffle Burger and the standard! Both were amazing, smack yo Momma off the hook. Great beer selection too! Try the skillet cookie as a dessert. Overall A +++

I was worried as after opening the menu tailored down. Was mixed on a few visits. They seem to have worked things out and are hanging in there. Wife had a brisket sandwich she enjoyed . I had hugely juicy pub burger with Benton bacon and fried egg. Waitress knowledgeable as wife had numerous questions on menu.

NASHVILLES BEST KEPT SECRET. I've eaten at pharmacy, burger republic, burger up... All the burger "Hot Spots" and Publicity still has my favorite burger. Also, must try the fried pickles, poutine.. You really can't go wrong with this place!

Oh Publicity, you're breaking my heart. What used to be a solidly good restaurant has fallen victim to a crappy menu reboot, bad service, and a slow kitchen. As a former waitress, I'm very forgiving but consistent poor service and food has sealed the deal for me that I'm over this place. The past several times I've eaten here we have left frustrated due to the slow service or totally underwhelmed by the food (but usually both). We kept trying again, hoping they would fix their problems but today's visit has solidified that we won't be back. Such a shame since it had such potential! Issues include: -waiting over 20 minutes for our food, including kids menu items which should come out right away (10min or less) -waiting over 8 minutes to put in a drink order after we sat down -food is dry and mediocre at best, bread and tortillas taste bland or old -side salad is now iceberg lettuce instead of a spring mix - the farthest thing from "gastro" you can get -they removed my favorite item from the menu - the Grilled Salad! Wtf?! -the beer list has transitioned to a thoughtful selection to a very boring one So overall, slow service and mediocre food strongly disqualifies this as a gastro pub.

First time visit the other day. I think there was only one other table in there when i was eating. Nice place on the inside, has that "bar" feel but feels like a restaurant too. I took the recommendations of others on here and got the Mac and Cheese and was not disappointed. Came out hot and very fresh. They even put real chicken in there, like not the pre-cut up stuff but the stuff they pull off a whole chicken which to me put this dish over the top. I was a little disappointed that they didn't have sweet potato tots like one user had posted a picture of. Will defiantly come back though.

Customer service has really declined! I use to go there weekly and now I doubt I will return. Slow service, unattentive wait staff. Felt rushed to take our order and once it was up, we could see it sitting up there from our seat for seven minutes before being brought to us. We seriously timed it. It would have been longer if we did not say something to the waitress. Staff was hanging out by the kitchen and on their cell phones. Refills not offered for our drinks. This was our final visit to give them one more try. Will not return Daltons right by there gives constant and friendly service.

My boyfriend and I were in the area with some time to kill before a wedding at the Cheekwood gardens and each tried a sampler of beer. He took the top 5 of the draft menu and I took the bottom 5 so we could try all 10! Our waitress told us about a few menu changes that they were out of with similar replacements (no biggie) and she brought out the beer pretty fast. We also ordered the poutine appetizer to share. Firstly, this place is next to a Kroger so I had pretty low expectations. We found it by just looking at the map near the Cheekwood and finding a "gastropub." Sounded good! Turns out, we picked the right place! The poutine was pretty dang good, too. Huge portion for $9. The beer was a good variety with a lot of European flavors (Hoegaarden, others I can't spell...), local & local-ish tastes (Tennessee Brew Works, Schlafly, Black Abbey) and craft beer bigger names (Founders, Lagunitas, etc). One of my samples was from the veryyyyyy last of the keg which was a bit yucky but oh well. The waitress offered another sample, but I didn't really have a second choice in mind (as I was already tasting all of the draft selections by sharing with my bf), so I just kept it. Overall, we had a great time though and spend our pre-wedding break wisely. Low expectations were exceeded by far.

One of the best fusion restaurants in Nashville....I always think of this place when I need great food and a good beer...the waitresses and bar tenders are very tentative and know about every dish....the fish and chips are the best in the state...please experience this place just once...

  • DeAnna D.

The bacon sampler... Amazing. They had a burger special one night that had Benton's bacon and an over easy egg on it... To die for. I have never had anything there I didn't love and they let you try their beers before they pour you a full glass. Love it!

Dont quit understand the appeal ofthis place. Terrible service, the food was typical bar food but i liked the atmosphere but again due to the service we wont be back. Go to Daltons next door.

It's true - you don't have to go to East Nashville for great food, a rotating selection of craft beer on tap, and a (dare I say it) hip and casual atmosphere. You can stay right in Bellevue and get all of the above! I'm a big fan of Publicity. Love their big salads, burgers, fries, and they often even have cider on tap. Great place to hang out at the bar, or get a table with friends or family. The menu has gone through some changes but the standards remain the same. Quality is consistent and service is friendly. If you live on the west side, you should definitely give it a try. If you don't, well, why don't you make a special trip? You might just like it over here.

My boyfriend and I use to be regulars here. We loved this place, the staff, and the delicious food! We are not complainers, and have never sent food back before at a restaurant (until now). With that said, recently Publicity has seemed to really go downhill. We have kept giving this place chances because we loved them so much originally! The second to last time we came here, a girl ran my card on someone else's bill and their card on mine. When I informed her of her mistake, she simply switched the cards! My meal was at least $25 more, and she wasn't even going to correct it for the customers who paid for my meal! We had to wave down a bartender to fix it. She forgot our appetizer until we had completed our entrees, and still put them on the bill. The time before that, we also did not receive our appetizer until our meal was over too (maybe it's a new thing). They change the menu so often here that the staff is never knowledgeable of their own menu. The prices go up every time we eat there. Tonight we came back one last time. I ordered fish tacos. When I bit into them, they were chewy and raw! It was completely pink inside, and I couldn't even tear it apart. I literally couldn't eat the fish (it was not chewable), and sent my food back. Not once in the past five times we have ate there, when they have made mistakes every time, has a manager ever came to our table to apologize or make it right. We are really disappointed in publicity, and after tonight will not be back

Pretty cool little place located randomly in a shopping center. Def didn't expect much but once you walk in and see the menu and the bar it totally stunned me . All local beer and amazing food this place is my official go to spot in west Nashville . Keep it up guys !!!!

What? Did you say that a great gastropub and burger place has actually opened in Bellevue, Tennessee? Why yes I did! They can use all the Publicity they can get too! Great atmosphere, attentive service, GREAT burger, locally resourced, and awesome music! Hey Nashville! Your not the only ones with cool, hip, and awesome places to dine! Eat that!!!!!

I've been to this place twice now and I love it. The first time I stopped in and had a few beers and a small bite. The bartender was really nice and she recommended a few local beers. The tomato soup is gross. I would never get it again. The second time I came in with my husband and we sat in a booth. The server was good. We didn't order beer/wine/cocktails bc we drank earlier that day. The burger was the best I've had in forever. And the garlic fries are simply amazing. Go here. Order a beer at the bar and get a burger. You'll love it. And the bartender is the best.

I had The Standard with a delicious organic cider. I had a misunderstanding of what came on the burger and the cooks fixed it quickly without any issues. I recommend this place to anyone looking for a casual gastropub with good food.

My first encounter with {Pub}licity was their vendor table at The Nashville Scene's 2014 Bacon and Bourbon Festival where they served a bourbon bacon chocolate mousse that was over the moon. I waited until my 2nd visit to write this review. First review was top notch drinks, food, and service; total 5-star visit. 2nd visit was top notch drinks, food, and average/below service (oddly, same server both visits). I will combine food selections from both visits into this review just for point of reference. To date, I've tried the following selections: Cheese Curds ($9) - completely worth it; absolutely good Crab & Artichoke Dip ($12) - tasty although what you would expect + lots of onion; should come with more crostini for $ Cobb Salad ($12) - very impressive; don't let the look of lack of dressing fool you (it is just enough and then some) Fish & Chips ($12) - nice; not as wow'd as I thought after reading several reviews recommending -- it would be nice if they would offer a 1/2 portion {Pub}licity Mac & Cheese ($12) - WOW. OMG. WOW. Where do I begin? Definitely a MUST-TRY. Forget the Atkins diet and just go with it. Seriously. Beverages: Old-Fashioned ($9) - very nice bourbon drink - not for the faint of heart Old-Bendy's Oil ($9) - love, love, love this drink - they've married a margarita with ginger beer Note: They do not take reservations for groups. I will make return visits (even though I live across town) -- would you considering opening a {Pub}licity II in Hendersonville? Seriously.

Returned to Publicity and I'm so glad I did!!! Good was once again back to the quality I remember! Our group had a burger, kale salad, fish tacos, and shrimp and grits. All portions were large, food was presented well, and the price is great for what you get. Appreciate the cocktail menu as well if you aren't a beer drinker. Dessert had the sweet potato donuts with chocolate dip - holy moly! These were fresh, hot, and so so tasty! Will be back on a regular basis, I'm so glad Bellevue has a really great place to eat again

Publicity is quickly becoming one of my favorite local pubs. They offer a limited, but diverse selection of local and craft beers on draft. The bottled beer list also offers a nice selection that is suitable to all palates. Both times I've ordered the fish and chips, which I consider to be really good, but it can be a bit greasy. If greasy turns you off, you shouldn't order fish and chips anyway, right? There is a nice portion in 2 pieces of fish, and the garlic fries are outstanding. Be prepared for the house made bourbon ketchup. If you are expecting Heinz, you will be caught off guard. The flavor is intense at first, but calms as you eat more of it. Next time I'm going to try something different. All the dinner entrees sound delicious. Perhaps the meatloaf, roasted chicken, or chicken an leak pie will be my next dinner selection.

It's official. The new owners have ruined the place. The whole atmosphere is different. Most of the old wait staff is gone and the new staff have a less cool and less enthusiastic vibe. They have dropped many of their better menu items. The burgers seem to use a little less meat and they are not prepared as precisely -- if you want medium, order rare. The garlic fries are soggy. After 3 visits since the business sold, I see no reason to go back. If I want a burger in Bellevue, at this point, I would probably go to The Alley Pub over Publicity.

Ventured here about 6 months ago and wasn't really impressed. We waited a long time for our food to get to the table and I wasn't really impressed with it. Standard bar type food. I tried a different type of cider that I didn't enjoy. Location is in a good area (in a strip mall near a Kroger). I would try another restaurant before going back to this place.

Ate here about a year ago and it was so-so. Friday I was wanting a lunchtime brew and they were open fir lunch. BIG improvement! It has always had a nice decor and great bar and still does. The big difference was the food. First, they go local and list the purveyors, including Benton Farms mentioned in a PBS documentary featuring Japanese top chefs and their cuisine. I just had the Cobb salad and it was absolutely fresh with a delicious herb dijon Vinaigrette. The menu choices were creative and had a gastropub feel (i understand there is a new chef in the kitchen). Pricing a tad higher but I gladly paid to have fresh, local selections. Big screens are strategically placed for sports. Finally, the bartender offered great service and good suggestions. Im anxious to get back and try other menu items. Definite change and worthy of a visit.

Truffle burger delish. Cooked perfectly and the favors blended with the arugula. Will definitely be coming back. Would prefer a more substantial fry than the shoestring type but yum all they way around.

Oh Publicity, I want to like you. I really, really do. But you have made some fatal errors and I am afraid that we will have to end our brief relationship. First, when you opened two years ago, I got a chicken bone in my Mac and cheese pasta the size of my finger. The waitress said the chef warned the staff to expect that and we got a flatbread for free. Gave you a second chance because the flatbread was actually good. This time my fish was under fried and the batter was gummy and soggy. The saving grace was the garlic fries. The third time I visited, had a cookie dessert that was in a skillet. The cookie was burnt and inedible. So it has been a year since I last visited and I was craving some of those garlic fries. Hostess/server sat us and we waited for any type of acknowledgement for 15 minutes. Servers kept walking past to service tables around but no smile, nod, or even wave. At 6:30 on a Wednesday we had NOBODY stop by the table. A simple 'I'll be right with you' would have sufficed. If you don't want my money- especially since I hung in there and gave you several chances- it's not my loss.

I went here last week with my fiancé. It's definitely a hipster bar with the food to match. I felt like I was in East Nashville somewhere which wasn't totally expected but was fine. I got the caprese sandwich which was delicious! My fiancé got a burger and said it was okay. The garlic fries are extremely garlicky--and that's coming from a girl who considers garlic its own food group. That and the service is why it only gets 3 stars. The service was pretty slow even though it wasn't busy and our waitress didn't know if a beer my fiancé asked about was on tap when asked (before we saw the beer menu) and it was something basic like Sam Adams he asked about. Overall, I'd come again but know more of what I was getting into.

I was a little skpetical when visiting Publicity after a few friends did not have a good experience. Unfortunately, my experience was not much better. I will begin with the service. The waitress was not in the mood to be there and it took her 10 - 15 minutes to take my order (There were only two other tables seated and at least 5 waitresses standing around). She approached my table and immediately asked, "What would you like today?" As someone who has waited tables before, there should always be an introduction; maybe even take the drink order first. I was immediately turned off and I dreaded the food, but I ordered anyway. I ordered the fish tacos and an order of the loaded fries. After 20 minutes of waiting for the food to come out, the fish tacos were not good at all. The loaded fries were just ok. Overall, the menu was over priced for the quality of food and the service was terrible. I do not recommend Publicity. In a few months I will do a follow up visit to see if things have improved, but as of now, it's a no go. First impressions are everything.

Overpriced and below average. Drinks were more the price of a 5 star restaurant, not a casual pub. Corn soft taco shells were not even cooked, so they fell apart when eating and tasted bland and strange. Go next door to Cancun for half the price and a better dining experience.

I went to Publicity with my husband last evening. The atmosphere was fun. Both the patrons and servers were extremely friendly. My husband had a couple of beers and I had a glass of wine with dinner. The meals were great. I enjoyed grilled shrimp on an arugula and spinach salad, and my husband enjoyed their roasted chicken served with a lot of greens. I would highly recommend Publicity to those wanting a casual, easy night out...with or without the kids.

I love this place and have to say the food and drink is great. My BF and I have visited frequently and enjoyed the servers and bartenders, so this past Friday I decided to stop by for a salad and a drink. The hostess greeted me with a pleasant smile and I asked for a table for one. She responded with incredulity...."a table for one?". " Yes", I said. By the way, I had a book in my hand and was wearing scrubs.....this was obviously not date night. "Do you want to sit a the bar?', she responded. " No, I would like a table, please". (The bar was full by the way.) She scrutinized the seating plan for at least 60 seconds.....now mind you, there was only one table taken in the entire restaurant. She finally escorts me to a table and asks me to wait saying that it was dirty and she would clean it. ( Huh?) I asked for a table nearby instead and she said, "I'm sorry' it is not available". ( Huh?) I left and had a drink and salad at the Mexican restaurant next store. It will be awhile before I will stop by again.....this chick needs some front-of-the-house mentoring!!!

This place was a joke. I went there last night with a party of 7 around 7:00. We were seated quickly at a high table with stools. After our server greeted us and took our drink orders, it was a good 40 minutes before we saw the drinks. The two men in our crowd went straight to the bar to check out the beer selection and returned with their drinks while the rest of us waited. I ordered a Hendrix gin on the rocks with green olives. The drink came and I was told they were out of olives. I reminded them that Kroger was next door. My sweet husband went to Kroger and bought a bottle of green olives. Based on the wait for the drinks, we decided to order food while we had the server at our table. It also took a pretty good amount of time. But the real kicker was when I ordered another Hendrix gin and they came back to tell me they were out of Hendrix gin!!!! Service was terrible and the food wasn't anything special. Fish and chips were frozen cod and waffle fries. Even British chips are better than a waffle fry! I would not recommend this place and I will not go back.

A return visit from a little over a year ago. Just ok. The fish-n-chips was good. Fried perfectly, but with a bit too much batter and not enough fish. The fries have too much garlic powder and way too soggy. A weeknight visit that had a very small crowd. The bar was busier than the floor. Both areas had very low energy. The restaurant area and the kitchen staff appear clean and clean cut. Waitress was pleasant enough. Again, very low energy. Will I go back? Maybe.

I really wanted to give this place the benefit of the doubt. The first time I visited, mind you I ate there not take out. I get my desert to go , the check comes and I notice a .24 charge for takeout that wasn't disclosed. I asked the server what it was, and she really couldn't give me am explanation, but it was for the box and utensils? ?? I never heard of this on my of and I would have been fine paying it if it was told to me. 2nd visit: I go after work, and sit at the bar and have their $5 4 beer selection. I was asked what kind I want , I told the girl to surprise me. The beer was good don't get me wrong, so the check comes and I'm charged an additional 50 cents. The manager comes out and states that stouts are extra, totally understandable, however I told the bartender to pick whatever assuming it was going to be in the $5 price .! I am not happy or coming back here. I feel like they need better training on what things cost and need to communicate better with their customers. *****Pay attention to your bill here people, they rip you off ****

I don't know if liking Publicity makes me a hipster or a bacon lover, or both. I will say that this place has the very best Bacon appetizer I've ever had. It consists of three types of mouth watering and mate murdering bacon. Apple-wood Smoked, Maple-Candied and Chocolate. You might want to buy two just so that a fight doesn't break out in the restaurant. Beverage-wise, they offer an ever changing selection of micro-brewed or hard to get beers. The menu is provided as a unique flip style report, that I assume allows them to change it out frequently. The Entrees themselves remain, but the drinks haven't been completely the same any of the times I've been. Being a Burger guy, So I can only guess as to the other entrees, but the burger at least is good. I look forward to coming back again soon. If only just for the bacon appetizer. I did mention that right?

Sat at the bar last night, ready to try some new brews and tasty eats and we were not disappointed. Had the Scottish Eggs and the boyfriend ordered the Fish and Chips; both were delish. For beers, I devoured the Belgian IPA from Fat Tire (soo good) and he had Yazoo's Sue, which he loved. Had fun conversation with the owner about the nice beer selection and he was nice enough to let us try one he was excited about that wasn't yet unveiled, something called Dragons Milk from New Holland. Overall it was a great night! Exactly what we were looking for.

I went to {Pub}licity on a tip from a friend, but I must've been at a horrible time or bad day because the service and food were disappointing. I just read a review on Nashville Scene, and I have to agree that--at first site--you're a little disappointed at the decor, as if they are trying so hard to be this pub, but it could be a sports bar at any time with the flat-screens that are, for the most part, distracting. Odd things like the built-in Christmas LED lights into the bar (which really remind of me of Jimmy Buffet's Margaritaville in Waikiki), wouldn't bother me, or even warrant a comment, except our server was very distant, and not once to check on our drinks or food. We ordered calamari and the Irish nachos. The calamari came out stuffed into a metal container, sitting in oil. They were too salty and the breading was moist instead of crispy. When I was served my nachos (regular nachos, but with waffle fries), the server warned me of how hot the plate was. I looked at her, confused for a moment, because I saw shredded cheese that clearly had not melted. Hoping the oven had just heated it unevenly, I dove in. At the center (which should be the warmest) the cheese was still unmelted. We sent back the calamari, made the best of the nachos, and then high-tailed it out of there. That said, I will go again--but only if my friend wants to go for a brew.

We stopped in on our way back from Adventureworks & Harpeth State Park. It is a little hard to see if your coming west to east it's in the corner across from Starbucks. The staff was very friendly and we sat at the bar. We had the cheese curds which were "ok", the mussels, and TN burger of the month. The burger and mussels were awesome! The sweet potato tots are the craziest thing I've had to me they taste like french toast, they come with sugar on them!! If we're in the area again we'll go back for sure!

When Publicity first opened, they offered a delightful appetizer of fried artichoke hearts. Oh my god, so good! We used to take people there just for that appetizer, and of course we always ended up eating full meals as well. The burgers are large and cooked well but those artichoke hearts were the kind of thing that set them apart from every other sports bar. When they were removed from the menu, tried the place a couple more times but there was no real pull to keep going back. Just an average burger/sports bar. Good burgers, friendly staff, but slightly high prices for what you get.

5 stars for this special place... Amazing BEER..... Amazing Fry's.... and the Mac and cheese is to die for. GO and enjoy.

Just okay, not what it used to be.. Fall menu is blah.. I ended up getting grilled cheese and tomato soup.. The grilled cheese had no flavor at all and the tomato soup was way too smokey tasting, too overpowering.. My dad got a beef sandwich and he seemed to enjoy it. I had the Mac and Cheese a different visit and enjoyed that more. Still, for the prices I wouldn't say it is worth it. Too many other better options in Nashville. I think this place is good for drinks though.

Pleasent surprise. I just moved to Nashville and this place was a nice surprise. They were doing 2 for 1 beers on Tuesday. Nice selection of beers and the bartender Kelly was a hoot. Outlets and hooks beneath the bar and the food was solid too. I will be heading back.

Let me start off by saying, this little hidden gem has the best food ever! I've tried many dishes here and NOT A SINGLE ONE HAS BEEN LESS THAN FIVE STARS! I really like their waffle fries and their publicity burger. I also tried their fish and steak tacos. I want to say my favorite is their garlic fries and their sweet potato tots. Can you tell I love potato-everything? The tots were delicious. The unique thing about the sweet potato tots is that they appear to be baked and not fried. You can actually taste the sweet potato and don't feel like you will have a heart attack. I feel weird reviewing them because I really don't want them to get too crowded! I love coming here with my boyfriend and just hanging out. There's no lines, no wait and nothing but great service. The people here are always friendly. One time when they got my order wrong (well, not completely wrong, but my boyfriend does not like salt on his fries and they forgot that we asked for no salt), they super quickly made us a new batch even though we said it was fine we didn't need another batch. They also have a great drink selection, including my favorite delicious Crispin'. !:)

Tried this place out recently with a friend. Beer selection was pretty good, burgers were great (tried the standard and the gyro burger), and the staff was friendly and helpful. The place is fairly new and has a modern look to it. Service is slow sometimes, but I am a server, so I kinda understand. There was one time I found my corndog to be cold in the middle, but it may have been just that one because my friend didn't have anything wrong with his. Their burgers and sandwiches are delicious, though, so this place is definitely worth a try. Just know that you may have to be a little patient when the place gets busy.

Publicity allllll-most got a 5 star out of me - not that it can really compete with an 'actual' 5-star restaurant, but because it really does rock the cute pub vibe. They are a new-ish addition (last year?) to the Highway 70 scene in Bellevue and not at all what you would think of when you drive by it. In spite of being in a strip mall next to Kroger, they have done a bang-up job of decorating with warm lighting, comfortable booths and rustic wall decor that really makes it far more pub-feeling than other Bellevue offerings (I'm looking at you Corner Pub!). They have small, friendly staff, happy hour every week day (including Friday) from 3-6 and great burgers. Their garlic fries are tremendous and burgers cooked like a pub burger should be- fresh and just every so slightly greasy. While I'm not a beer drinker, I've brought my beer drinking buddies who have loved doing beer flights and trying an ecclectic mix of local and national based microbrews. I'd be more thrilled if they filled growlers and, to be honest, there are a couple menu flops (wings should be skipped and the fun bacon sampling appetizer thing is less fun than it sounds). A great place to bring your kids who aren't terrors (don't ruin this for the rest of us please), there's lots of TVs around to watch your game, but they are on mute so as to enjoy a cool coffee house sound track they have playing. Be sure to save room for the super yummy chocolate chip cookie with ice cream. Nom!

Being new to town I googled all the gastropubs since that was my favorite and Publicity came up. I went there for the first time last week. For food I had the Mediterranean appetizer and the Mac and Cheese with everything and both were delicious. For being big into many different microbrews their list was just ok. Then their atmosphere didn't let you forget that it was located in a strip mall. They could definitely do more to spruce up the place. Possibly add some wall lighting to help with it being so dark? We also sat in a booth and I found myself sitting on my feet to be at a comfortable table height which was very uncomfortable. Think I'm going to see what else the area has in store before I become a repeat visitor.

Now that this place has had some time to settle in and get the wrinkles ironed out, it has become one of my favorite places to go with the wife to have some drinks and some exceptional food. The pretzels and beer cheese are out of this world with any of their fine beer selections. The poutine is also a must have for those looking for something different. They make my favorite burger in town, and I'm lured in AT LEAST once a month for the always outrageous burger of the month. So glad to have this addition to the neighborhood!

Great hang out spot, good food, good brew selection. Can't go wrong here. Mix drinks are fun too, if you are adventurous. Nice spot in Bellevue. Booths for 2 - 6 people. Area in back, open to rest of restaurant, for larger parties. Bar in the middle of the floor. Wait Staff observant and on point. Try it out!

This place has come a long way! A year ago I would have given this place 2 stars at best, but now one of my favorites. Constantly changing variety of drinks with wonderful food and engaging service. The only thing I wish for is a bit more variety of the lunch menu, but still good overall.

Seriously, the service is terrible here. Not only does it take forever to be greeted, get drinks and have your order taken, they usually get it wrong. The "bartender" who was working during my last visit did not know how to properly count her pour to make a proper drink. When this was brought to her attention, she acted like I should mind my own business, well guess what, if I am paying the bill, it is my business. Learn how to properly pour the liquor you serve or use the "jigger" and measure correctly. When a customer is paying an up charge for a martini (you know the one you put bitters in) then you better pour the required 2oz pour as this is what they are paying for. The only saving grace was the food. The garlic fries are awesome and the chicken sandwich we had was spot on. If you want to keep your doors open, tighten up ship and expand your menu. I hate to say it, but I smell death at your door.

My mom and I both wanted to try this 'gastropub' concept at {PUB}licity in Bellevue. I really wanted to like it, but I was underwhelmed by the whole experience. When we walked in, I enjoyed the whole atmosphere and decor of the pub. The wood paneling and low lighting enhanced the mood and I thought the wall of celebrity mugshots was creative. However, when the hostess led us to our seats, we quickly found the lighting was far too dim to even read the menu. My mom is nearly 54 but her eyesight hasn't degenerated that much. She had to use the light on her phone to be able to read! I'm 25 and I found it difficult to read the menu without squinting at it. It was like we were spelunking in a wooden cave and came across ancient texts from a long lost civilization. Another bothersome aspect of our visit was the actual menu. I thought the tabbed organization was creative but it didn't seem organised in any fashion. Some entrees were mentioned twice in two parts of the menu. I also wouldn't have gone with clipboards and page protectors with handwritten tabs. When we asked our waitress how the meatball sub was, her face fell and she admitted she hadn't tried it, but assured us that the olive tapanade would add a nice tang to the sandwich. My mom still ordered the meatball sub and I had the fish and chips. Each of these dishes included a side of garlic fries or sweet potato tots. We both chose garlic fries, which was a mistake. I had imagined fries with a light dusting of seasoning, but what appeared before me was a mound of fries that seemed to have been bathed in garlic salt. They were unbearably seasoned. At the end of our meal my mom and I agreed that it was a disappointing visit. As we were leaving, I witnessed a waitress walk to a light switch and dim the lights even further. What a fitting end!

Great bar! Or should I say great neighborhood bar located in a shopping plaza in the burbs? A little disappointed that this place shuts down at 11:00 p.m. on a Friday night. I believe they stopped serving food at 10:00 so I was stuck with just drinking my Jack and Coke. The atmosphere is pretty cool here. A very rustic yet modern feel. I sat at the bar to have my drinks and there appeared to be a variety beers on tap as well. Bartender was friendly and offered up a few suggestions on places that stayed open a wee bit later. I might be back if ever in the area again, but next time I must try the food so I will stop in much earlier!

The food was good! However very pricey. The chicken pot pie was great but you got one miniature skillet of pot pie..no side salad or bread For $12 ! SERVICE was not great, we were in the middle of eating and the waiter asked if we were ready for the check, Atmosphere none . once again good food but not for the price or atmosphere,

Went here for brunch with the family last Sunday and wow. Was I surprised by this.. First off I had no clue they had a Brunch on Sunday's. We just happened to go in for lunch because my wife had never been. So first off. I see some beautiful looking bloody mary's and think "Vodka in my tummy. Down down down. Vodka in my tummy" Shake head. Ok what just happened? So with the BACON HABANERO BLOODY MARY, finally shows up at the table and it was best one I've had anywhere I think. Better than R. Thomas in Atlanta and that's saying alot I think. Any how. Where was I. Oh yeah. Food. They server it!! Oh yeah. Anyhow. So we ordered the Strawberry Mint and Goat Cheese Bruschetta as an App and it was unique and tasty for damn sure. Then we followed that with me getting the fork and knife French Toast Burger with Maple Syrup fried egg on top and bacon. Delish. Wife got the Shrimp and Grits which was good but something was off with the grits (too much water maybe). I would def go back and highly recommend their brunch for newbies. Love and Food. Zach. Drops mic. Moons crowd.

I have been there more than a dozen times and have not had a bad experience yet. I love the look and feel of the place, the mugshots, the tables, etc. Every waiter we have had has been very friendly. Every item on the menu has a twist to it, there is nothing that feels generic (no Applebees/TGI Fridays stuff here). The beer is always great and they have a fun, different selection each time. They are also decently priced, especially if you join the Pub Club ($4 to join and it gives you $1 off each draft beer!). For the food, the BBQ Chicken flatbread is my #1 go-to, it has been 5/5 each time. If you go to brunch, you have to get the French Toast burger, it is ridiculous and super filling. For appetizers, the bacon sampler is good but I prefer the pretzel sticks and the cheese curds. When people come to visit, I usually take them here for some great, late night grub with lots of different beers to choose from.

A local place that cares about its customers. Both our waitress & the manager on duty, Casey, were extremely nice. My order came out incorrectly, but was quickly corrected. I ordered the Moules Frites and when they arrived, I had a whopping 59 mussels (on the house). I was very impressed by this gesture! On top of this, the food is great and the beer selection and skillet cookie dessert were excellent.

  • David M.

Yes the menu is unique and different but not that fun when you realize you've spent $14 on a unique meatloaf. MEATLOAF?!? Waitress was weird but I guess that's their MO. Strange ambiance as its urban dinning, sports bar and trendy cafe all in one. Yes the floor is concrete and can still find traces of the previous all-u-can-eat pizza joint. Not sure who they are. Still the food is interesting but be prepared to pay extra for the "difference". Our server copped an attitude when we asked about their specialties and when she said "burgers" we must have looked surprised (?). Son ordered the "burger" which was tasteless and rare. Even though rare isn't uncommon you don't serve rare meat children. Too expensive and bad attitude don't mix for me so doubt I will return.

A beer selection that Bellevue has no right to, fun decor and a great modern gastropub menu. Check out the burger of the day, the bacon taster, the pie or the fish and chips. All outstanding.

Wasn't sure what to think of a restaurant in Bellevue- this is a diamond in the rough. Decor was nice; really loved the wall of celebrity mug shots! Server was fantastic and friendly to our large group. Beers came quickly adding with waters without us even having to ask. We ordered apps for the table: bacon mix (maple was my fave), the poutine (yum), and the best I thought was the Sriracha buffalo wings. For entree I had the Publicity burger. Cooked perfectly and toppings were on point. I tried the chicken and leeks pie and also the Mac and cheese from some other plates at the table (we like to share). If it were closer to my house, I imagine that I would frequent this place. As it stands, it might be my new go-to for the area.

So, this is the 4th or 5th time I have been to this place and I figured that since it is still new, I would give it several attempts at going to this place before I wrote a solid review. I like that I have a local place, 10 minutes or so from my home to go to to have a good bite to eat. There are too many places in my area that are fast food so to have a decent sit down and eat type of place is always welcomed. The ambience of this place is a cross between a local pub in look and feel with the great wooden floors and antique type tables and bar and what looks like an old police station. It only makes sense in that their line is " There is no bad publicity ". There are various photos of the rich and infamous with their mug shots sitting around the walls of this place. The menus look like a police blotter. The service is good. They are attentive and are always readily available, even during the busy dinner rush. They know their menu, their libations and whats on tap. They smile, are friendly and what you should expect from a pub. The food is good. Several times I have had either the publicity mac and cheese of the publicity burger. Both were good. They have a decent selection for the beer snob, or as I like to call myself... a beer nerd. So one would think I love this place. I should, I really should. However, I just like it and this is where the inherent problem for this place is. It's just good. There is nothing outstanding about this place. There is nothing that screams ' don't go downtown to places like Urban Grub... come to us and spend your money. ' It is regular pub food with a tad more thought to it. I was hoping for more than just good. I wanted amazing. Outstanding. I want a place that is within a 10 minute drive that makes me want to spend my night filled with cravings and hunger to go there to eat. Overall, it is good. You wont be disappointed if you are looking for a place that offers good food, good service and good prices. But, if you are looking for an experience, then you have to go further down the road and eat at the several amazing places springing up all over downtown Nashville

Food was excellent! Staff was Friendly. The place was just busy enough for a sunday night around 8:45. Service was a bit slow. The food was well worth it. Michael was great server. The burger and garlic fries were amazing. My mom had the caprese sandwich and it was delicious! Their bloody mary was the bomb not to mention their beer selections are on point. One of my new local favorites!!! Give it a try, our local places need our business!

Found this place via yelp wanting some late night eats. This place is IN-CREDIBLE. We were staying in Bellevue for a week, and ate here 4 of the 6 days we were here. Tried different things each night, everything was delicious. My favorite was the roasted chicken with vegetables. Also their beer selection is wonderful, and the staff was very knowledgable about everything. We ate one night with a gluten-free person, and the staff could not have been more helpful and could answer every GF question without hesitation. We will definitely be back again and again.

I wasn't sure about this place, seemed a bit overpriced for the budget conscience but, WOW worth every penny! We found out a new owner took it over 5 months ago and he is really committed to fresh food, using local ingredients. Local beef, fresh cut, seasoned, shoestring fries, homemade chipotle ketchup, homemade pickles, the list goes on and on. Honestly, the best burger I've had in a long time. Better than The Pharmacy (WHAT?!, true..) Very impressive. My husband got the draft beer sampler, best deal, I think. But there's a small, extra charge (.25-.50),depending on what beer you choose. Even though it was still a good deal, I didn't like that because this charge isn't clear on the blackboard. Hopefully, they'll change that. Anyway, we will go back, so many other menu items we can't wait to try. Happy hour all night on Monday, 3-6pm Tues-Fri. Oh, and bathrooms very clean!

My mother and I had late lunch here yesterday, during the quiet time in restaurant land. We shared a burger and grilled cheese sandwich. The burger was REALLY good. It was the burger with the works, I forget what they called it, but it was organic beef from Kansas, local Kenny's cheese, caramelized onion, local really good bacon, and some smoked ketchup on the side. Oh yes, and a locally made bun that was delicious. The burger was cooked as I asked, and it was just delicious. The grilled cheese was simple plain old fashioned grilled cheese, but made with Kenny's cheese. we both liked it. The burger was $13, and the grilled cheese was about $10. Both plates came with a heaping side of handcut fries, really good and included in the price. We were the only customers at that time of day, so I imagine the ambience was not typical. It was quiet, and relaxed, not what a sport's bar usually offers. the people who worked there were friendly and welcoming. We will be going here for late afternoon burgers whenever the spirit calls.

We were skeptical, given the location, but a coupon helps overcomes doubts. We're glad we went in. The cocktails were good, as were the steak and shrimp tacos and the crab salad. The bacon appetizer... well, it *is* possible to screw up bacon, but theirs was executed well. And sweet-potato-tots with a little tabasco-ketchup... oh yeah. The celebrity mug shots on the back wall were an entertaining bonus.

We've visited Publicity a total of 3 times, mostly because we live in the neighborhood and it's a good enough spot to eat. Our first experience was beyond terrible--I ordered the fish tacos and they were made of unflavored, overcooked whitefish and topped with gloppy coleslaw. We chalked it up to the place being brand new and wanted to come back a few months later after they'd been in business awhile longer. Each of the other 2 meals we've eaten at Publicity have shown vast improvement, though there are still many problems with the service and the timing of the food being brought to the table. I am hopeful that as the months go on, the staff at Publicity will continue to make the necessary improvements that will only make the restaurant a better place to enjoy a meal.

Nice! It's in a strip mall , but don't let that keep you out. It's modern pub fair, with great local and selective draft options. I didn't stray off the beer menu, but the bar looked well stoked. I had the special burger, which was great and sided with nice garlic fries. Good portions and the prices were right. Same type of fair you might see at some trendy parts of Urban Nashville, but cheaper and in a strip mall. (Don't knock it) Service was knowledgable and very friendly and inviting. Room was nice with lots of seating options and a good size bar. There's TV's which I appreciate as a sports fan. It's. nice to watch a game in a place with good food, no cigarette smoke and options much better than Bud-light. Fill up your car at the Kroger gas, get a trim at the hair saloon next door, then grab a drink and much tastier bite then everything else around at this place!

Hark! What is that sound?!? Look! it's a rare sight! A gastropub in the suburbs! I'm going to type this quietly so I don't frighten it away. Bellevue is desperately in need of this kind of establishment and man is it a welcome treat! I've darkened their bar stools and booths a few times now and have never been disappointed. It boasts an ever changing draft selection, each one finer than the last ( rumor has it the owner is a brew master, thus the fine beer selection). As for food I've had the burger, the fish taco and the Shepard's pie, everything was great! The service is quick and friendly the decor is pleasing and there are TVs for sports ( even soccer!) I was also surprised to find the clientele to be a delightful mix of interesting folks and not at all the mindless drowns one usually equates with suburban sprawl. I will keep a close eye on this rare creature in the hopes it spawns more establishments of a similar nature. and well... I may enjoy a pint or two while in the process.

There's lots of dark wood, cozy booths, nice stools at the bar, seems like a cool little hideaway. The beer offerings were impressive, and the menu looked super good but left a little to be desired. My margherita flatbread was pretty easy, though it's hard to mess that up. My boyfriend ordered the Buffalo Poutine, which the waitress totally raved about, and I thought it was a bit of a mess. So, maybe the waitress and I just have different tastes, and that's fine. I have to admit, I really want to try the bacon sampler, and their sammiches looked delightful. It was my first visit and I wanted to be blown away (who doesn't love to find an awesome new place so close to home?) but I was not. It does have potential, though, I will be going back, and I have good feelings about the place.

I'm not really sure what people see in this place. Sure the atmosphere is nice but the food is pretty bland. So tonight we were being seated next to the door but asked to be seated further inside and the hostess made a face. Our waitress was new but did a pretty fair job, no complaints about her at all. My shepherds pie was the blandest excuse I've ever seen for it's namesake. The presentation was nice but it's not something I'd ever recommend ordering to a friend. We're not really sure that this place deserves a second chance.

This place is a great addition to Nashville. It reminds me of the small, cozy restaurants that I used to eat at in Providence, RI. First off, one of the reasons that I like it is that it is in a shopping center. Yes, I like places like this because it is always a sleeper cell of awesome. I remember when this place was a Snappy Tomato and now it is a true blue gastropub. The interior is long and skinny, yet there is ample table space. The back is going to house games soon and the bar is pretty cool. I love all the natural wood! The menu is well rounded. I went during the soft opening and sampled the Steak Sandwich, Fish Tacos, and the Calamari. My favorite was the calamari! It was fried to perfection and not rubbery at all. The breading was light and tasty, very addictive! The steak sandwich and the fish tacos are going to be great entrees. Both were very flavorful. The bar is committed to showcasing craft beer, which is always a perk in my book! I am really looking forward to seeing the expanded drink menu. The bartender seemed to really know his stuff! Great place, great location ---- I will be back!

Absolutely delicious food! The Publicity Burger was fantastic with applewood bacon and smoked Gouda melting down into a handmade patty. Make sure to try it with their aioli. For dessert we had the skillet cookie sundae. It was unique as well as scrumptious. I don't usually go for the decadent chocolate dessert at restaurants, but this was perfect! The restaurant's decor was very nice, the service was excellent, and the concise menu was perfect. It's very refreshing to see a unique, independent restaurant in the vast sea of chain restaurants here in Bellevue. We will definitely be coming back.

My visit here was a highly-classified covert operation. (You know, because I came here without my wife.) However, what a treat! In the land of TGIO'Crapplebees, something truly cool and unique! I love living out in Bellevue, or as I like to call it, The Vue. It is quiet, traffic is very reasonable, it is easy to sneak into Franklin/Cool Springs or Downtown/Midtown. There are the Warner Parks, The Loveless, Cheekwood, the world's most expensive private school, Ensworth, and there is the opportunity to murder deer with your car any time you want! The only downside is for the most part, the eating out options are rather limited to fast food and chain-heavy establishments. We have a couple of bars, Alley, Corner Pub in the Woods and Brewhouse 100, all of which are meh, and not really desirable unless you like Budweiser on draft, eating blocks of grease, or are a middle-aged tattooed weekend biker. Enter PUBLICITY! 10 BAD-ASS BEERS ON DRAFT! Rogue! Hoegaarden! Lagunitas! Köstritzer! And locals like Schlafly, Blackstone and Yazoo! Notice how there is no shitty beer listed. They may have it in bottles, but you have to ask for it and I will judge the shit out of you. The menu is great, lots of options like salads, steak sandwiches, shepherd's pie, kalamari, fish tacos - basically all of the noshes that go well with beer n booze. I came in at a strange time of day, so I got great attention and an opportunity to get a good look around. Beautiful wood-paneled walls, rich wooden tables, fantastic ambiance. The server was prompt and very friendly. Did not hesitate to make suggestions on beer and food. I started off with a nice dark Köstritzer and the charcuterie plate. The beer really hit the spot and the plate did the job. And one of my biggest pet peeves with charcuterie assortments is when there are not enough things to eat with the meat and cheese (bread/crackers, etc). Not a problem here, as there were plenty of crackers. Included on the plate were two kinds of crackers, stone ground mustard, basalmic vinegar, grapes, a smoked cheese, a brie, some sort of salami slices, and some sort of cured ham. Hit the spot and perfect pairing. The only thing that I would like to have seen on here was perhaps some bread slices, pickled anything and maybe some nuts. For round 2, I hit the Moules Frites and the Rogue they had on draft. Just perfect. The frites were waffle fries, and the mussels were quite tasty and I am still alive! Success! The only bummer I can see here is the hours of operation. They close at 9PM, which is generally when the best/worst decisions are just getting started. How can I misbehave if you don't give me the chance, Publicity?! Work with me, people!

Really can't rate this one well. Very disappointed. Love the concept and was really hoping that we had a good place to eat in Bellevue. The cucumber mint lemonade was very good. We ordered the steak tacos and shepherds pie. They were just par. Not much flavor with the shepherds pie and it had a taste of dirt. It may have been the parsnips. We won't be going back. We would rather have good we enjoy.

I really liked this place when they first opened. now the menu has gone. . . .hipster bleh. nice people, poor food, over priced. Last time I visited, I just left, they took the last thing I liked off the menu.

Great food, drink, service, and atmosphere! Tonight was my first night eating at Publicity and definitely won't be my last. Walking in I was impressed by the hip yet cozy vibe. The tables are large and wooden, and placed far enough apart to offer some privacy. The light was muted, not dark but dimmed enough to create a cozy atmosphere. The noise level was fine (something I pay attention to). There are TVs showing sports games, but the sound was off. I started by ordering a Schlafly coffee beer, which I found delicious. My server brought me water without me even asking for it, which was awesome. I ordered the grilled eggplant pannini with a side of waffle fries. The meal took about 20 minutes to be ready. The sandwich was perfect - grilled eggplant, fresh basil, and mozarella all on toasty delicious bread. What I loved was that the egglplant was not greasy - it was grilled with very little oil. The sandwich itself was huge, and if I hadn't been ravenous, would have saved half for my lunch tomorrow. The waffle fries were delicious - lightly coated in a garlic sauce that added a ton of flavor without being too heavy. My only complaint was that the food came out lukewarm. I could eat the sandwich room temperature, but not the fries. I asked for hot fries, and it took over 10 minutes for them to bring them out. My server was very gracious though and even came out at one point to apologize for the wait on the fries. One other small complaint - I try only to eat meat if the animals were humanely raised. I asked the server where their meat came from and she had no idea. The price was great - around $7 for that delicious eggplant sandwich with fries. The beer was just over $5. I highly recommend this place - especially for Bellevue. This is a coup for Bellevue. I will definitely be going back to try more dishes!

I have lived in Bellevue for my entire 5 year Nashville existence, and never have I had a place to go enjoy a good craftbeer. Once {PUB}licity opened that all changed. They are constantly getting quality craftbeers on tap that you can only get a few places around Nashville, let alone Bellevue. Quality is at the forefront as they make sure tap lines and glassware are cleaned properly. Always offering a taste of a beer before you offically order to make sure you get what you want. They have also done a great job doing beer dinners that pair foods with beer. I am a big advocate for {PUB}licity and look forward to my next visit.

It's a great idea poorly executed. The beer choices are average with better food and choices down the road. The fish and chips were good but they forgot half of our to-go order. Add one good Belgian even in a bottle or hope people get lost going to Kroger. I have been to some great Gastropubs all over the world and this is just a nice local bar that serves wings and burgers. Those 2000lb booths will not feel so good or flexible is this place ever gets busy. It's a major step up to MEDiocrity from Snappy Tomato, the former tenant.

Second time I've been here, both times have had pretty similar experiences. LOVE the atmosphere, definitely trying to bring some laid back cool to Bellevue (sorely needed). The waitresses here tend to play the role of the bearer of bad news more often than the cheery hostess with the mostest. On both visits the bar had been out of an ingredient which had kept me from drinking the Sazerac which looks so delicious, and food orders in my party have been forgotten, ordered in the kitchen incorrectly, or prepared poorly. I will say the Chicken Flatbread I had was pretty great and I will be forever loyal to the idea of sweet potato tots (winner!). My buddy professes his love of the fish and chips on both occasions, so if that's your bag it's good here. The best analogy for (pub)licity can be found in the waitresses filling up the seemingly fancy water pitchers quite obviously behind the bar with a funnel and the mixer gun. It's easy to enjoy the glossy atmosphere and the shiny newness of the many craft taps, but at the end of the night the experience is still tap water.

Let me start by saying that 5 stars is generous but here's my reason: Publicity is a cool local pub, the likes of which are rare in this town and nonexistent in Bellevue. As a West Mead denizen I can tell you that Bellevue seems not to be able to support anything but fast-food chains and there's no good reason for that. So even if this is not a true five-star establishment it is deserving of your interest and patronage. With 14 draft beers, a full bar and walls lined with TV's, each showing a different sporting event, Publicity is almost a sports bar. I hate sports bars. But the vibe here is way more "pubby" and therefore a bit warmer and, dare I say, hipper. The menu is classic pub fare with a slightly more upscale twist. Filling, tasty and interesting. If you like beer this is as good a pub as you'll find in this town. If you prefer cocktails you have that option as well. I had fish tacos, which were made with grilled fillets, nicely spiced and topped with mango and avocado. The fries were garlic waffle fries. Not garlicky enough but good nonetheless. Everything on the menu sounds great. We will be back often. But please try this place before it goes the way of all interesting Bellevue eateries. Perhaps together we can help it avoid its inevitable fate.

Publicity is a nice little pub located in a strip in Bellevue. I stopped in after work one evening with a coworker. I can't comment on the food, because we only drank a couple of beers. I like the atmosphere and the decor. It's dimly lit and the bar is pretty rustic. We grabbed a couple a stools at the bar. They have about 10 different beers on tap and several in bottles including all 3 varieties of Chimay. The bartender was a young dude who seemed nice enough. We talked about the different beers on tap and he offered a couple of suggestions. Once served, the beers were cold and tasty. Overall, I was pleased with my visit, but I think they could carry more beer and add a few more taps. I'd like to go back and give the food a try. If the food is good, this could definitely be a 4 or 5 star review.

I found myself in the area last night and after seeing the review of my friend, Jason S., I decided to drop by for a beer He's not real free about just passing out 5 star reviews, so I figured it would be solid. It was, and is getting better, it seems. Since I didn't eat I can't speak to that part (see Jason's review below), but I did enjoy the vibe, ambience and service. Dennis, behind the bar, is an obvious pro. One of the owners sat at the bar and chatted with me. Seemed to be a good guy and a really hard worker. He built the bar and did all the afore-mentioned woodwork himself. They just secured their liquor license yesterday and it sounds like they're planning some craft cocktails in the near future. A Grand Opening is planned for early December. Bellevue really needs a place like this and really needs to support it. I think once they try it, they will.

Yum! Went early with the family. We split the cobb salad, shepherd's pie and fish and chips. Cobb salad was romaine lettuce, fresh, yummy generous toppings and a nice homemade tangy mustardy vinagerette. Delish! The fish and chips were perfect. Flaky, golden, and crispy. The waffle fries were nicely seasoned, not too much, and perfectly cooked. The shepherd's pie was made fresh with yummy insides that tasted homemade and a flaky fresh crust on top. This place definitely does not cut corners like every bar fare you see out there. I'm super picky and this place is super good! Can't wait to go back and try the other things I saw on the menu, like chocolate dipped bacon!?? OMG amazing!! Well done, guys!

Great addition, stopped in tonight to try "the new place down the street" and it was so good. And a great addition to Bellevue! Beer selection was great and our server was friendly and definitely cared about her place of employment (which is always a plus.) We started with the bacon sampler because Hell-o, there was a bacon sampler with chocolate bacon, candied bacon and , Applewood smoke bacon. All delicious, especially the candied. Don't know if they are planning brunch but if so that candied bacon needs to be the star. Then we both got their mac and cheese which was deliciously cheesy with chicken bacon and mushrooms. :) So good. Will become a regular!

So I drive by this place ALL the time. I think to myself... There is NO WAY that a pub next to a Kroger in the burbs of Nashville TN is any good. Boy was I wrong. In a matter of weeks I have become a regular. From the smiling servers to the knowledgeable bartenders... This place is top notch. There are plenty of other watering holes in Bellevue but this one stands above for a few reasons. 1. The food. They don't skimp on flavor or on focus when it comes to the food. I'll admit I'm an appetizer guy and every last one of them have been out of this world. The cheese curds make you wanna slap yo mama. 2. The beer. Nothing half way here. The beer keeps me on my toes and they are constantly teaching and showing me what and why they serve what they serve. Yes you can get your simple beer here. But if you are a beer fashionista, then you hit jackpot. 3. The hospitality. Kim the manager and her team are on point. They make you feel welcome when you come in and don't stop at a simple hello. They make you feel like the whole experience is worth the price. I HIGHLY recommend Publicity and seeing that I don't YELP often, this should be case in point to make sure that you visit then become a regular. LOVE THIS PLACE!!!

It's in Bellevue. Yay! A recent visit: 4 pints of craft draft: $26.00. TWENTY SIX dollars for 4 pints. That, my friends, is not chicken scratch. I said Bellevue, not Belle Meade. Shove it.

Stopped here with my husband, 3-year-old, and my dad. Loved the atmosphere and service was friendly and efficient. I got the Mediterranean plate which came with plenty of pita and delicious olive tapenade (including capers!) as well as fresh hummus. My husband's strawberry spinach salad was also excellent with Panko-breaded goat cheese on top (one piece of which I made sure to steal out of his bowl - yum!). My hard-to-please Cracker Barrel addict dad even enjoyed the cheeseburger. My daughter had the grilled cheese and roasted broccoli, which she had no complaint about. Pretty big portions for the kids meal, which I appreciate. Next time I'd like to try the fish and chips, just wanted a light lunch today.

!!Man can live on bacon alone!! The bacon sampler rocked. We stopped for brunch during our recent visit to Nashville and this place was by far one of the highlights of our trip. The service was great and I thought the food was even better. I had the French toast burger which took care of my normal appetite as well as my sweet tooth, yumm. It came out in a sufficient time and was cooked to perfection. I just wish that I would have order the bloody marry, because it looked so good with the long celery stalk and the candied bacon, but that will have to wait until next time. I will definitely be recommending this place to all my friends.

Went for dinner on a Friday night, not overly crowded and good service. I had an old fashioned and my gf had wine, both good. The whiskey drink was a little pricey for the size but done well. App was the Buffalo poutine which was delicious even if the fries were a little undercooked. I had a draft beer with my meal which was from a good selection but it wasn't a full pour, also a little disappointing. Had the special burger (bacon bacon bacon burger) and sweet potato tots, both of which were incredible. They managed to cook a perfect medium burger and we decided the tots were among the finest creations a restaurant could produce. GF had the mac and cheese which was a hearty serving and quite delicious. We'll definitely be back.

First time to this place and I have to say not to bad! They have good burgers and garlic fries that were pretty tasty. The burger was very juicy and had a nice roster bun. We sat at the bar and the bar tender was awesome, we will be back to try brunch!

Updating...Visited Publicity for a second time recently. Hospitality is much better. Staff was friendly. Service was great. The food was also improved. We each ordered burgers med-rare (thinking we would get medium). Props to the kitchen staff....both were spot-on medium rare. I wanted to bump them up to 4 stars for the improvements, but when thinking about other spots in town and how I would rate/have rated them out...I'm sticking with 3. Maybe I'm being harsh, but I'm just not hooked on this place yet. Overall though it's definitely worth checking out if you are in the neighborhood.

As a supporter of local business we were looking forward to a gastropub in Bellevue, beats driving to ML Rose right ? Wrong. The two young lady bartenders were shocking No idea about the beers on the menu We seemed to be an inconvenience when we asked for a second drink, note we were sitting at the bar..... No idea how to pour beer, asked on all 3 beers to add volume, 2.5 inch head on a $6 beer, really, no apology, just looked angry More interested in having a chat with each other Sorry guys with no drink specials , that we were aware of,you rely on top notch staff to keep your business, you fell way short so I guess it's back to ML Rose

The people working here are great. The food sucks, $10 for a pile of old waffle fries with a little cold cheese sprinkled on. The manager and waitstaff did all they could, based on that alone we'll go back. I hope they can get the kitchen straightened out by then. Good selection of beer helps for me, not so much for my wife. It's so close to home I'd hate to see it fail so soon.

I've been living in Bellevue for about 8 months and never stopped in here... now I'm kicking myself for this oversight! My buddy and I stopped in for a beer or two around 9:30. There were only a few patrons present but the atmosphere was great... relaxed and friendly. Although some reviewers seem to get uptight about the "sports-bar-ness" of having the tvs tuned to whatever sports are on, I always find it's nice to have the distraction when conversation lulls. And the volume is off, so there's no danger of them becoming distractions to the conversations. I did not order food this time in, so I can't speak to that aspect of the place. I will say that the bartender, Casey, was perfect. Always a plus to be greeted with a great smile. She provided information when asked about the beers on tap but didn't keep checking back in an irritating way, interrupting conversations to ask if everything is ok 20 times. Just the right amount of attention so we didn't have to go looking either. We really appreciated her patience as we were still finishing our last sampling of their taps while they were closing... no stink-eye! The taps are great with quite an interesting selection... I was really surprised. I've been to a few places like this back in Ohio and am glad to have (finally) found something similar down here in Nashville. Keep up the great work! I'll definitely be back!

As a denizen of Bellevue, I was thrilled to see such a nice little pub in our local area. We had an excellent appetizer - the fried artichoke hearts, a great cider, the Last Word (cocktail), and two entrees for a little over $60. Like most bars, it was a little loud, but we could hear to converse. Food was good. Service was good. Portions were large.

Ten craft beers on draught, sports (&news) on hi-def TV and good pub food is what this pub features. {PUB}licity has a few signature drinks, and some sandwiches, chicken, etc that are designed to be more than just stomach filler to sop up beer. Shephards Pie matched with a glass of pale ale hit the spot for me. At the east end of Bellevue in the Kroger shopping center, {PUB}licity features small batch brews like Schlafly ale from Missouri and Launitas from California.

Stopped in tonite to try out the new spring/summer menu. Promptly seated an drink orders taken, btw always a revolving list of different beers on tap so good place if you like to try new things. For app we had the crab artichoke dip after noticing our favorite calamari had been removed :(. Perfect balance of crab and artichoke and cheese though a tad salty. For dinner the fish and chips are always a great choice though you would expect a heartier thicker cut fry than the shoestring variety served with it. Crab avocado salad was also good though a little quality control on the butter lettuce since there was quite a bit that was brown. All in all a good meal and glad we have a place like this in Bellevue. Definitely worth a try.

Greeted by a nice lady with a nice smile, however, we were greeted by the awesome bartender! And my awesome I mean the worst bartender ever! This guy did not greet us, did not recite the specials as asked for, and had terrible tattoos on his hand. We had high hopes for this "gastropub" but it left a bad tastes in our mouths. Happily enjoying good beers and good company at Broadway Brewhouse!

Happy to see this kind of place in Bellevue! Stopped in here for lunch today and what a pleasant surprise for lunch. The service and the food were really good and they've only been open three days. I enjoyed the house salad and added grilled chicken and the creole dressing for $7. They seemed to have a nice selection of beers and my husband and I may need to venture back to our old neighborhood to visit friends at this place.

Learn how to cook eggs fellas! Turn the heat down. Burnt omelets are gross. After the second go around with only one bite taken out of each omelet should have let the bartender know something was a miss. Pretzel sticks were good and drinks were good also. Can't say I'll go out of my way to return. I left feeling like they owed me money.

Three words: Fried Cheese Curd. You won't regret ordering it. The cocktails are creative and delicious. They have a great selection of beers and their food is delicious. I would say this is definitely my new favorite place in West Nashville/ Bellevue!
