This is a nice little meat-n-three. Be prepared to park 'round back and wait for a table. The food is good and selections rotate every day. Haven't made it to dessert yet but it sure looks good. Once your order is taken, food comes out to your table quickly. Service is friendly, but because of the large volume of customers they don't always have enough time to spend with each table. If recommend giving this place a try!

The atmosphere of this place was...alright. Nothing too shabby [they could probably use a floor replacement but nobody is there for the floors, right ;)] but I just did not feel like I was in a down home southern cooking establishment. I will give the food ratings out of ten. Sweet tea: 10/10 Hushpuppies: 10/10 (You get 10 for $2 and they were delicious) Sirloin (ordered medium, was way over medium but I did not send back): 5/10 for taste, not how it was cooked. Mac and cheese and mashed potatoes both got a 4/10. They did not taste like home cooking, more like school cafeteria cooking. I will be back and I will order something different next time. I want to like this place and maybe the middle of a Tuesday afternoon isn't the peak time to eat here.

No flavor. I wasted my money and time going here. Extremely friendly staff, but that got me nowhere in satisfaction. I've been to the olive branch location a few times and I give the three stars thanks to their addition of minimal seasoning.

Worst food I have ever eaten. Sent the mac and cheese back. Sat us in an area that no one was in. Waiter left and never saw her again. Will never go to this place again. Just nasty!!

I had high hopes for Sweetpeas's table. I really did. Maybe it was the overall high score they received. Maybe it's my own bias towards Southern food. I just don't understand how you can take something that's covered in butter, rolled in flour, dipped in grease, and smothered in gravy and make it bad, but boy, did Sweetpea's find a way! Initially, Sweetpea had all the requisites of a great hole-in-the-wall: delicious looking pie slowly rotating in the desert case, a sweet old lady who used y'all and had a mean drawl, and a promising looking menu. I had been talking for months about my desire for some Chicken Fried Streak, and my mouth immediately started watering upon spotting it on the menu. Unfortunately, my girlfriend spotted it, too. " I think I'm going to get the Chicken Fried Steak", she murmured. "Me too!" I exclaimed, apparently oblivious to the fact that two people dining together cannot order the same thing. My girlfriend gently reminded me of my oversight. So I ordered the catfish, and she ordered the Chicken Fried Steak. The meal comes with your choice of two sides and a roll, as well. When our food came out, it was apparent immediately we made a mistake. She liked more stuff on my plate than i did, and vice versa. While we ate off each other's plates, we couldn't help but be disappointed in the quality of the food. If you promote yourself as a Southern-Style eatery, then shouldn't you make your own food? The rolls were clearly store brought. The macaroni and cheese was from a box. The sweet potato bake was probably the only side made in-house, and it was terrible. The Chicken Fried Steak was pretty amazing, though. Too bad my catfish was awful. All in all, the meal was forgettable. Luckily my girlfriend was present of I would have made the dining faux paus of ordering something i actually enjoyed. Even so, I have a hard time believing I'll ever go back, especially considering the proximity to Lu Crepe du Vin.

Really good food for a great price! Everyone is friendly too... Try the fried catfish. Delish!

First of all the waitress had no idea what she was going and didn't know the menu. I ordered the fried chicken and waffles. The fried chicken is actually chicken tenders. The menu says is comes with two sides but I later found out that it was a misprint on the menu and there were no sides with that item. My wife order a hamburger and it was good. My daughter ordered the chicken fried steak sandwich but ended up with the chicken fried steak meal. The service is slooooooooooow and incompetent. The food is marginal at best. This was a one time stop

A nice little southern restaurant. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Daily specials for $9 includes 2 sides and drink. Food was great. I had meatloaf.

Good food and great service. Love the desserts and the pork chop. Fried green tomatoes are amazing.

Wow, a total disappointment. We started with a basket of Hush puppies. They appeared good on the menu, filled with jalapenos, onion and bell pepper. The basket set before us was a generous serving but they were dry, overcooked and greasy. Not off to a good start. Our server was friendly but seemed overwhelmed and confused but they weren't busy at all. I ordered the Seafood Platter. Two catfish filets, (when did catfish become seafood?) six fried shrimp and two sides, baked potato and cabbage. A little nitpick here and this is not just Sweetpea's. I hate it when I order a baked potato and then I'm served a potato that has been cooked wrapped in foil. That is a steamed potato in my opinion. It may be baked in an oven but that foil wrap sure steams the heck out the core of a potato. Nitpick over. My catfish was mediocre. I don't know this but I would bet that it was pre-breaded frozen filets that you could purchase from Sam's Club. The breading on the shrimp was very greasy but that didn't really matter the breading fell off as soon as you picked one up anyway. The cabbage was beyond atrocious. Overcooked to the point of being BROWN. Cabbage is green not brown and it tasted like sulfur. Two small bites was all I could stand. I was dining with my Granddaughter and her entree was the Breaded Pork Cutlet. And breaded it was! To the point you wonder where is the pork. She did not enjoy the cutlet at all. She also had cabbage and joked you can get it down if you add enough pepper sauce. I am and old man dining with my Granddaughter but if it weren't for her I would have been the youngest in the crowd. Octogenarians ruled. Hell just don't go here!

I think I may have went at a different time of day then most of the reviewers, From now on, I believe I will get my Stouffers Mac and Cheese and instant potatoes from Sams Club. We started our late lunch off with fried mushrooms, they were the right temperature, crunchy on the outside soft on the inside, but the breading was flavorless, that was strike one. Our food was delivered and looked pretty yummy. The Country Fried steak was a redeeming quality, outshone only by the Sweet Potato casserole, or bake, whatever it was, it was amazing! The catfish was overwhelmed by the breading, the service was not very great ( I think there may have been some intense gossip around the silverware rolling station) and I honestly cannot remember what else we ordered, that is how memorable our experience was.

Super nice folks working. Food is pretty good meat and 2. If your in the mood for home cooking you can do a lot worse. Not as good as mom's home cooking but good for a quick lunch.

I wanted to try a new restaurant for my birthday lunch and chose Swetpeas Table.Good Southern comfort food and good customer service. The only downside is that the vegetables are good in pork.

OH MY GOODNESS!!! This food is just as good as your Grandma's! The country fried steak is cooked perfectly, and isn't greasy at all. You can tell the food is cooked with love and by hand. There are just some flavors you just can't get from premade foods. I'm so happy Sweetpea's has opened up in Bartlett!!
