Stopped in here for lunch on the drive home from a conference in Nashville. I'd never eaten at a Bob Evans before so I didn't know what to expect. Upon entering, it reminded me of many other "family diner" restaurants around. The service was prompt and friendly. We were seated immediately in a brightly lit, clean dining room. We both ordered the Cranberry Pecan Chicken Salad and I had mine with the Wildfire Ranch dressing. Again, service was prompt and friendly and our order was out with minimal wait time. The salad was excellent! The greens were crisp and bright. The chicken moist and flavorful. I especially liked the Wildfire Ranch dressing - great flavor (like a combination of French and Ranch dressings with some chili powder thrown in). Prices are very reasonable and we were up and on the road in no time. Very enjoyable place and lunch.

Not enough servers equals lousy, very poor service. Half the tables are empty but folks are waiting 1/2 hours with many choosing to leave. Time for a management quality audit.

This is a nice clean place to stop on the East side of Memphis before you get into the city. The staff is very friendly, the restrooms are extremely clean. It's only moderately busy but we are here between lunch and dinner. The crowd is a mix between young and old. Food came out fast and fresh!

Visited for breakfast last Friday morning. They never got our order right. I simply wanted bacon, eggs, country fries with bacon and scallions and pancakes. I received a portion of my brothers order and his was totally wrong. We reordered and still the orders were incorrect. My brother refused to reorder or eat after the second time.

The service was absolutely appalling. Waitresses with bad attitudes. Food was okay but trust me I wouldn't waste my time coming here again.

The service was exceptionally good however the food was a tad bland. Some of the dishes came out cold and had to be replaced. The kids loved the pancakes, so that was a big plus.

Food was okay. Service was slow in an almost empty restaurant. Had to ask for the free refills.

Instead of having the continental breakfast offered at the hotel we decided to have a "real" breakfast at Bob Evans. The decor is nice, the restaurant is clean and the staff is friendly, but slooooooow service, took for ever to get our pie to go and check. Breakfast was good not great. Better then free hotel breakfast food any day of the week even if it is slow.

Good coffee, service at least in the morning. I eat the "BeFit" breakfast which I find excellent.

Sad to say I was so disappointed with breakfast! Waitress was the worst ever. She never ask how our food was or offered to warm up our coffee! So much for southern hospitality.

It had been forever (seriously, I think it'd been about ten years) since I'd been there, and I wondered why it'd been so long. Well, I remember why now. The service is just seriously lacking. The times I've been back, there's one waiter who is extremely nice and goes out of his way to help us. He's fantastic and is the only reason I go back. The other staff here are so rude and unhelpful (including a manager who will not even talk to you directly, but rather stands in front of you and tells another waiter something to tell you). Most of the food is excellent. I think their pot roast is great. One thing I used to love and now am not a fan of is their chicken tenders. The past two times I ordered it, my plate looked like it was a child's portion. And the barbecue sauce? Maybe my tastes have changed but it tastes disgusting now. And the last time I went there, I could not get any barbecue sauce to save the life of me. I finally had to cover my food with a napkin and wait for my waitress to finally surface so I could ask for some yet again. So yeah, now I'm all about the pot roast. It's pretty good, it tastes like homemade, more or less. They also bring rolls (or biscuits) out to the table, which is a nice treat. Or did they always do that and I forgot? Regardless, they do it now and that's what matters. They've never been busy any time I've come in here since coming back, though. The funny thing though is while the parking lot will look like they're totally deserted (we're talking maybe three cars), when I get inside, there's several tables of people - at least more tables of people than cars. Are there people taking helicopters to Bob Evans?

I love BE growing up in Ohio just a few miles from the farm in Gallipolis. Our treat was fresh strawberry pie in winter years before fresh fruit was available in rural groceries a hundred miles from any airport. Today I had a Rise and Shine but I usually wait for lunch. Great service, food and prices every time.
