I am impressed. I have lived in the area for about 14 years and passed it all the time on the highway never really thinking about going. I won two tickets that they donated to a spaghetti dinner and auction for a youth group here locally that I attended. At first the location makes you double take to be sure your in the right place. The pull up covered drop off valey style was a nice touch in the design to look more classy to say. I have to say that the first impression was rather unique, a pair of blue, women's lingerie was outside the main door. After a laugh and notifing the staff it was promptly taken off (pun intended) the sidewalk. The wait was minimal but the tv and nice couch made it seems like seconds.our waitress, Chelsea, was very attentive, quick, and hospitable. I was impressed with her ability and helpfulness in our first visit. After being well serviced and hooked on the delicious, warm, fresh yeast rolls my house salad came out. The salad was very well displayed and had a variety of colors and yes... was separated in sections (my OCD cried tears of joy). The food was exquisite. Very flavorful and well crafted. They made use of great spices and ingredients. I was pleased with my sirloin tips sauteed with green peppers and onions with mashed potatoes in gravy with mushrooms. I was pleased with the flavor of everything. The sirloin was very soft and cooked to my preference. I tried my coguests plates. I was not a fan of the mac and cheese but was not a big deal. The Rocky Top burger was okay but could have benefited from some steak seasoning or spices to go with the tender patty. The ribs were fall of the bone and the sauce was delicious. I was very satisfied by the rack of ribs for a great value also. The baked potatos were great also. The sea salt coating im assuming they were boiled or bathed with really brought out the even flavor in the potato. Overall it was a great dining experience here and we will definitely be coming back! Chelsea was a great waitress and very cool. We spoke of her readiness to serve and rapidness. Thanks to RJs for supporting the youth in our community and I assure you our patronage is won over through it.

Found this place on our way to a contract job at the local airport. Very glad we turned around for it! Service was great, menu selection huge, great lunch specials & good atmosphere. I ordered stuffed bell peppers. First we had the fresh onion rings. Both items tasty and reasonably priced. My boss had grouper bites which were very generously sized. They have great yeast rolls and good tap water too. The restrooms were spotless and worth mentioning as it is a reflection on overall cleanliness. Will visit again if nearby.

Mrs. Reviewer and I visited tonight for the first time. Unfortunately we were not too impressed. My choice was the grouper, with okra and wildlife pilaf. The fish was very good and saved RJ's a lower rating. The okra was 'industrial' and tasted like what you'd find in a school cafeteria while the wild rice pilaf was mushy and tasteless. My better half had the salmon and it was so over cooked if would have had a bit of smoke flavor you'd have thought it was salmon jerky, very unimpressive. I know this is a popular place, just not sure why...

Every time I have been, it has been pretty good. I don't have any complaints. I recommend trying it. Not a favorite, but certainly good sometimes.

I have ate at RJ's many times before. But this last time was awful. Order the rib eye. It tasted burnt. Our salads came after our meal. The service was great the food not so much.

Since we just moved in right up the road, we figured we ought to give this place a try, even though it's not my typical style. The nice thing about this place is that there seems to be a well-stocked bar (that I didn't partake in), decent service, and a decent sit-down atmosphere in an area otherwise rather devoid of such restaurants. The rolls were delicious, definitely a knock-off of O'Charleys. We ordered steak and grilled chicken, both were very good. The waitress recommended the fried okra, which tasted like it was pre-breaded, just okay. We ordered the apple crisp dessert, which was just okay. The menu was very reasonably priced steak, seafood and chicken, pretty uninspired, no incredibly unique dishes, but it seems that what they have is good. Probably would go back if I got a hankering for a steak.

I ate here for the first time on a Saturday at 1pm, a group meeting with about 25 friends. We were put in a nice private dining room which held our group comfortably with extra space if needed. The service was exceptional, the food was very fresh and prepared exactly as ordered, and the lunch menu servings were about 25-30% less than the dinner menu version of the same item. I had their Country Chicken Salad with fried chicken nuggets (fresh, not frozen), romaine lettuce with diced tomatoes, croutons, fresh bacon pieces, chopped boiled egg and shredded cheese. Very good salad and very fresh.

Nice clean restraunt with very good service! Two for one draft beer special. The Grouper bites were really great! The fried pickles were salty. Ribeye steaks were small for the price and kind of fatty. The sauce for the sirloin tips was salty. Good baked potato but stay away from the canned green beans. Their dessert baked potato was surprisingly good.

It had been years since I had anything from R.J's. They have upgraded the decor but still have the tacky fake plants. I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of steak that they offer. The lunch specials were really good with items such as grouper and sirloin steaks. I opted for the steak . The food was very good and came out quickly. I was impressed with the overall experience. Definitely will keep this spot in my rotation and you should too!
