Italian Cuisine
The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.
Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.
If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.

I ordered the tour of Italy and it was really good. The service was great. My only complaints is where we were sat. The booths next to the bar were super noisy, instead of hearing the zen Italian tracks playing peacefully in the background, we listened to the blender, the people behind us waiting to be sat talking, and had to deal with sitting next to a very high traffic area. Bon Appetite!

I've never understood it but a lot folks like Olive Garden. Certainly my wife and daughters do so this was one of my 'family goodwill' visits. As usual it was okay, nothing nasty but nothing great and normally I'd have done 2 stars only for this visit, but I must say the service by the entire staff was outstanding. Enjoy your Olive Garden folks...I won't be taking your seat again anytime soon!

Though the food wasn't the best, the manager and server severely made up for the poor food experience! Dessert was delicious!

Olive Gardens are the same wherever you go which is fine with me because at least I know what I'm getting. So instead of complimenting the food, I want to compliment my server, Mia at the Alcoa location. She is fabulous!!! If you go, ask to be seated in her section and you won't be disappointed!

I know lots of people who absolutely love the Olive Garden. The salad and breadsticks are unlimited, the food is relatively cheaper, the atmosphere is lively. I just don't get all the hype. Yes the salad is good, especially when they sprinkle that freshly grated cheese on top, but it's just a basic salad. Usually the lettuce is not very green, so I feel like I'm chewing on crunchy water with salad dressing. The breadsticks are over salted and often come out hard, not soft. With that being said, the service at this location is almost always really quick and friendly. Even though the wine selection is terrible, they bring that wine out fast and with a smile. The breadsticks really are unlimited, too bad I don't really want them in the first place. The entrees are just okay. A lot of the entrees give the option of adding chicken or shrimp. The chicken tastes like a ready made pre-cut meat and the shrimp are microscopic. I would recommend getting an entree where the meat is the main course because it just tastes fresher. I do enjoy their mini desserts that they serve in a small glass. They are the perfect size and I wish every restaurant had options that are similar. I usually get the chocolate mousse, but I like them all.

Tried it again. Still not any better. It took forever to get our order in, drinks, salad and finally food. Two people, $38!!! I got the app sampler, my wife, chicken Alfredo. My stuffed mushrooms were ok if you like tough gristly stuffing. Chicken was frozen, breaded Tyson along with three frozen mozzarella sticks. Which BTW are triangles, not sticks. Flavor this time was a little better but not what one would expect from an Italian restaurant. Salad was fresh, breadsticks were also good. Tea was watered down too much.

The service on this particular visit was sub-par. Our waiter was more concerned with imparting his knowledge of moonshine on a neighboring table, he was slow, and he had a below average understanding of the menu. . The food, however, was typical Italian, the fish a little overcooked and a few of the noodles a little under-done. Quickly seated and a friendly staff.

I have always loved Olive Garden, who doesn't their food is delicious! However, we had the worst service during lunch yesterday. Probably the worst lunch service I have had in a very long time. I won't get into every little detail, but our server was so negligent

Yuck. Hadn't been to an OG in years, but thought I'd give it a try. What a mistake. Chicken Panini was some soggy goo squirted out of a plastic bag between two pieces of greasy fried bread. Even with free salad, good, soup, passable, and breadsticks, meh, a thoroughly disappointing experience

This Olive Garden was okay. The surroundings are very nice. I was not a fan of the initial view thought the foyer and reception area looked slightly disorganized. As for This place in small little Maryville I wasnt expecting much but was decently surprised. The food was delicious and I enjoyed and respected the waiters honesty when asking about a plate that I wanted to order. He was very helpful and was attentive. For a lunch hour I believe they were slightly slow as our waiter wad tending to linger for awhile but no major harm done. I have two major complaints though... the first is less severe. While being in a hurry (and dumb) I left my credit card there. Now I know that this must happen often and they just get put on a managers desk, but a call to the number on the back would have saved some worring and alerted my bank to call me and let me know its safe. I know its too much to ask but I have lost it before and that place did just that and my bank was able to take appropriate action. Now the second issue, there was a brown cardboard/cork coaster shoved to the bottom of my friends drink. Can you say gross and careless! This was below the ice and was wedged in the cup (so deliberately placed there by either prior user (grossest scenerio meaning sanitation and washing is not done properly or at all here) or the person making the drink had it out for someone or a prank gone wrong) either way this is NOT what is expected at a restaurant especially Olive Garden. The waiter did not believe us and told the manager on duty who also questioned if we did the action, with the obvious stated that we didnt even have access to that type of coaster, no we did not. She hadled the situation, apologized and made arrangements with our friend. Sounds like a bit of order would do this place some good. Keep up the good work in the kitchen though the food was worth giving this place another chance.

This olive garden has the best service that I've experienced at this particular chain. I can't give anything higher than a 3 star for the food because after all it is still olive garden. I have been a couple of times and even though it has been busy I have never had to wait for a table. As far as italian goes it can't touch giovanni's in maryville!

I sat at the bar. The bar tender was new... And she was very pleasant. My food was normal Olive Garden stuff. Nothing to rave about. My alfredo boat should have had an oil derek in it... It could have saved the oil crisis we are in. But what gets me about Olive Garden are the kids in the bar area. Who's idea is it to seat a family with four kids in the bar? No one wants to sit, eat and listen to kids scream and whine. Some of us hate kids and don't want to even see the little monsters in a restaurant. And why put a TV at the bar if you can't hear it and the captions are turned off?
