Absolutely love eating here with my friends for lunch. The buffet isn't as varietal as others but the options are tasty. The Thai portion if the menu is on point! Our servers are also very friendly and happy to help. I definitely recommend this place.

We come most every week and love the food and service. Great service especially if you get Jason as your wait staff. The pho soup is fabulous as is the rice noodle salad. Buffet has variety. I have had the habachi, salads, and other meals. All good. They are willing to change up dishes for your allergies or preferences.

Menu choice is excellent, can choose the protein (tofu, chicken, beef, pork, sometimes shrimp). Device was good both times we were there. My complaints: no NA beer, no decaf coffee, or herbal tea.

This is probably the best Asian establishment in Vermillion. That said, it's not authentic...perhaps with the exception of their Korean dishes. Being of Chinese descent, I generally avoid their Chinese dishes. However, in general, they have a great lunch buffet with good variety and is a good value for the price! I really enjoy their kimchi cheggae, jampong, and bi bim bop. Even though pho isn't Korean, they do a good enough job to satisfy my taste buds. Their silk road pancake appetizers are also worth a try!

You could not eat this well in New York City, Chicago, San Francisco, Atlanta, Dallas...I could go on and on! This is 5 Star dining at it's best. Finely interior decorated, superb music & speaker system. Wonderful wine list. Low, low cost. Talk about franchise opportunities. THIS IS IT! When I visit Vermillion it's my everyday dining lunch and dinner. I wish they prepared breakfast. Really speaks well for a college town.

I had low expectations for this place and was pleasantly surprised. I got very basic items like pad thai and pineapple fried rice. I wish I would have read previous reviews because I got curry the second time and I would say it is almost inedible. As long as you stay away from the curry you should be OK.

This is easily the best Asian food (they have Chinese, Korean, Thai, even Malaysian dishes) you'll find without driving to Minneapolis or Omaha. And even in those cities I'd go out of my way to eat at Silk Road. And for vegetarians: they'll serve you practically any dish with fried tofu, and this is one of those restaurants that really knows how to do tofu, or try their special breaded tofu in the Princess or General Tso's for a real treat!

I was a little skeptical about this place. It seems like lots of places that don't focus on doing one thing well do every thing mediocre. The group of people I was with had Chinese, Korean, and Thai food and everything was surprisingly great! Good atmosphere. Good service too!

I like Silk Road and am a repeat customer. I think they are a bit overpriced, worst curries I've ever had and the male owner (and a few servers) seem very disinterested in customer service. That being said, the rest of their menu is very good, I recommend the spring rolls, princess chicken, sweet & sour chicken and their beef pho is okay. I would recommend eating at Silk Road if you're craving some Asian food or want a good lunch buffet.

Service was great, interior was nice in comparison to many places in Vermillion. Buffet is adequate for a quick meal. Menu has a variety to meet your needs. Wasn't quite impressed with the crab rangoon, but overall can't complain!

Silk Road has some delicious food and really accommodates for vegetarians. For those with alternative diets living in Vermillion, Silk Road is likely your best bet for good food without a sacrifice. While some dishes on the menu are a tad too greasy for my liking, the vast majority of their food is fresh and delightful.

A typical "asian" restaurant that has several cuisines, but aren't very good in any one (with the exception of Korean, 3.5/5 stars there). There are several important items for each cuisine that are missing (but with so many countries, something's gotta give). The maki rolls (sushi that is cooked) are pretty lame, but the shrimp one's are OK---which you wouldn't want to have raw anyway. The buffet is also pretty typical, nothing special or very good.

Brought to you by the same Chae who developed the menus at Chae's. Is it really possible to have two phenomenal Asian restaurants in the same tiny town? YES! Silk road broadens the menu to include curries and additional Korean dishes, but includes some of Chae's original items but with slightly different flavors. When I do leave Vermillion, it will be with a heavy heart for leaving this fine food behind . . . Come for one, stay for both!
