Thanks to the reviews on yelp we decided to stop in and we had an awesome experience here!!! First, it was happy hour so there was buy one get one free beer/wine. Then, appetizers and rolls (including speciality) were severely discounted ($3.50-5) listed in their happy hour menu. We ordered 4 rolls and 2 spicy shrimp udon soups. While the soup needed a little extra kick, the rolls were superb (specifically the jalapeño roll!!!) since the fish was fresh. As for service... Wow! Our servers were so super attentive, refilling drinks, asking about the quality and visiting our table less than every 10 minutes or so. Definitely stop in!!! :)

We came here for lunch the day after Christmas and the food was great. We didn't sit at the grill but I ordered the lunch hibachi steak and scallops with noodles instead of rice and it was delicious and just the right size. We also ordered the Sea Dragon Roll and it was delicious. Our waitress could have been better but the food was great!

Food was ok, service was awful. It was in between lunch and dinner on a Saturday so there was nearly no one else in there. Waiter seemed bothered to answer questions. Either couldn't or wouldn't explain the various items we asked about.

Our hibachi chef was excellent- our waiter, not so much. It sucks but he (alone) brought my rating down. It may've been his first night, I'm not sure- he seemed pretty insecure in taking our order, delivering it & presenting our bill. Maybe he didn't like us, I don't know but he was very cold & not at all personable. The entire wait-staff congregated behind the scenes & hung out- I know because I watched them. -HeadsUp: @ the hibachi grills, the table is the same height as the grill, with very little (to no) splash guard/barrier...meaning, if you're not paying attention, you can get burned, or oil will splash on you. If you have babies, or kids- this'll frighten/hurt them.

Just take out. Two rolls : salmon avocado and the million roll. Taste good and looks good as well. Got quick service. The place itself looks very appealing. All black and some white decor. Prices were very typical for a place like this. Will be back and try dining in next time. good size menu to choose from

The service is pretty cold here. The first server we encountered was so stern and short with us that I felt like we were an inconvenience even being here. I asked for a vegetable yakisoba dish and the server did not know what I was walking about. I had to open the menu and show him. I'm assuming he didn't know it was on the menu. I've visited this restaurant twice now and both times I have ordered different sushi rolls. This is the first sushi restaurant out of every sushi restaurant I have visited around the world where I have refused to eat the rolls entirely. Also when the check was dropped at the table on the first visit, my companion and I were taking our time finishing our tea and the waiter and his colleague stopped at our table a good 5-6 times asking if we were ready to pay. I found this to be incredibly rude and unprofessional for those who are paying for good service, food, and an overall well balanced experience in regard to visiting a sit-down restaurant. There was also an event going on in the main restaurant and there were people standing in front of our table so it was a little awkward.

Had the crabmeat salad, so so. East side Tokyo salad is better Spicy tuna, again, so so. Soofoo has better spicy tuna at other places OMG roll. Do not order if you don't like eel meat. Very fishy. I kinda liked it, but not balanced in flavor.

Good sushi. Good service. Good Hibachi. Great atmosphere. Would have given 5 stars but temperatures were about 3 degrees fahrenheit and they left the inside doors open which cooled down the entire restaurant (although not a huge deal and I did survive to write this review) . Also was a bit pricy, $56 for two meals and one roll. I had a SD Autumn roll. One of the best rolls I've ever had.

I give this place 5 stars because its THE BEST Hibachi in all of Sioux Falls (probably all the mid west as well) I come from the land of Benihana and Shogun..and if you know these Hibachi restaurants, then you know Hibachi! Fuji is pretty darn good! The yum yum sauce is too sweet for my liking but the portions were great and the chef was fantastic! My filet Mignon was a good size and cooked perfect!! My shrimp was great and large and the fried rice was phenomenal!!

Went to the Fuji Sushi and Hibachi Saturday night and had a blast. A group of 4 of us went and we all enjoyed the food and service. Havent really had anything like this in Sioux Falls, so its nice to get a variety of fun restaurants. We both got the Habachi Salmon ( comes with snap peas, onion soup, salad, fried rice and vegetables) deffinetly filling. The grillers? will toss food in your mouth and spray saki and sing and make jokes. It really was a good time. The only down side is that its HOT in that room with all the grills going. We will be going back later this month when family comes into town. You should deffinetly check it out at least once!

Food was fine--just like Tokyo or any Benihana's. It gets just 2 stars because they screwed us on the check. We ordered 2 Asahis. The waitress brought us 2 Stella's instead. I told her I'd just keep mine, but my wife wanted the Asahi. She said fine and left both Stellas. I reminded her that my wife wanted the Asahi. She said it was okay, and we assumed that since she opened the Stella's that my wife would get hers free--LIKE AT EVERY OTHER RESTAURANT. But no. I argued when the check came, but she said that when she came back with the Asahi, my wife already took a sip of the Stella. She was a nice waitress, but the management was watching her like a hawk, so I'm sure the instructions came from them. So lame. They won $4 for that beer, the waitress lost $4 off her tip, and the restaurant lost a large family of customers. Beyond me why they would do this.

Sushi and Sashimi was wonderful. Very fresh and clean tasting. Wasabi was potent, sliced ginger had kick and special soy was refreshing. Love the atmosphere and the service was wonderful. I had the sushi and sashimi combo which was allot of food for one person especially when the chef kept handing me free items off the menu besides the main entree. Last review complained about the server always asking them questions and they felt rushed. I don't know about you but I like a waitress or server that is attentive and always at your service. So they have a party room in the back and I could hear them celebrating what is there to complain about thats what it all about. I sat at the bar and I have no complaints. The hibachi looked tasty and fun, I will have to try it. I will be back to visit soon and often.

Enjoyed lunch here today. One of us had the seaweed salad which was very good. It was quite a large portion. We also had the edamame which was OK. We ordered the shrimp tempura roll and angel roll. Both were excellent. Have eaten at many sushi places around the country and this place was quite good. Enjoyed the decor. The service was quite good. Not bad for Sioux Falls. Our expectations were low as it is Sioux Falls. Would return and recommend to others.

Great sushi place. The restaurant was very clean and the ambiance was very soothing. The staff was helpful and quick with my order (I was there around opening time for lunch on a Thursday). The only drawback were the gentlemen loudly (sounded angry) yelling at each other in the backroom. The waitress gave me some ice cream (which I didn't order) free of charge I assume to smooth over the awkwardness. Was awesome though, cant wait to be in Sioux Falls again to come back.

Went there as a group of four. We each ordered sushi rolls, main dishes, and appetizers. Sadly, the waitress didn't know the menu. We would ask what something was and she just read off what was written in the menu. This of course upset us a little. We did receive our food quickly and what was sapose to be hot was hot. Miso soup tasted like chicken broth. I really do not think there was any miso in it and I love miso soup! The sushi rolls were outstanding and tasted great, we had no complaints on that. My wife ordered shrimp tempura which only came with 2 pieces of shrimp and 4 pieces of vegetable tempura, which she was not happy about. There was a birthday party going on the night we went which is great they do that, but the music they played was over all the speakers and was very annoying and loud. All in all, the food tasted good, but the atmosphere and services was nothing to write home about. If the services was better and they kept these "special" events separate from the rest of the place so people who want to enjoy the food and company they are with. There are better Japanese restaurants in Sioux Falls that are worth going to.
