Came here for a work dinner while in down. Ordered crab cakes to start with, not impressed. Obviously being this far away from any fresh water was something we should have considered. However, the main course definitely made up for it. Under the recommendation of our waitress I ordered the Hunters Pork Chop...5 star for sure. The sauce was amazing and the chop was soft, juicy and delicious. I would for sure recommend the pork chops. HAPPY DINING!

Best steak in Sioux Falls, probably in South Dakota. Had the wood fired filet, medium rare. For dessert, tiramisu is just ok, but their version of creme brûlée is outstanding. Personally love the old school steakhouse ambience as well.

We took a group of people that were attending our training seminar for our group event to Foley's. They had a nice space for the group. Everyone ordered off the menu. For a group that size I would normally be concerned about how long it would take to served. The staff did a great job serving the group and making sure everyone was kept "refreshed." The food was really nice and "abundant." The group was very complimentary about the choice of this restaurant and felt they had been treated very well, which is exactly what we wanted. Thanks to everyone at Foleys for the great experience.

All online presence for this restaurant stated that they were open on Sundays. After driving an hour to Brookings to find that the restaurant we wanted to eat at was closed on Sundays, we drove an additional hour to Sioux Falls to eat here. We drove up and the parking lot was unplowed, and doors were locked. There were no signs of any kind posted saying they had decided to close that day. I also tried calling and their answering machine had no indication they were closed that day either. So, we ended up being two hours from our house and SOL on eating here because they decided to close on that Sunday.

I took my boyfriend here for Memorial Day. He is a former U.S. Marine and still in law enforcement. I am so glad that our dinner was one of the best steak dinners I've ever had, with the best service I've ever experienced. I paid for this though... This is a place to go for truly special events. The atmosphere is lovely and, like I said, the staff is impeccably professional. I was so glad we went here. Veterans deserve to be celebrated and thanked, and taking mine here was a great way to treat him.

Menu prices and hours of operation are not the same as posted on their website. Menu prices are 3 to 5 dollars more than posted on the Internet. Waiters /Waitresses on their phones acting totally bored. The food and service was excellent !

If you like pork chop, you'll love the plum porkchop! On of the best dinners I've ever had was tonight at Foleys! Great service and atmosphere. I'll come back whenever I'm back in Sioux Falls!!

We went for dinner on a weeknight. There weren't too many people dining, possibly because it was *really* cold outside. So naturally, the service was good. Also, the server was very friendly, and helpful when we had questions or wanted to know which soup or entree to choose. All of the food was good, but my wife was especially impressed with the French onion soup, pork osso bucco, and the sweet potato maple cheesecake (which is seasonal). The osso bucco was really as advertised, so tender it falls off the bone. The cheesecake had a layer of cake as well, but it was good-quality cake. We both like cheesecake, but neither of us usually like cake. However, we were happy with this. I had one of the raviolis (mushroom or vegetable), and it was good but I would try something else next time. Also, the bread was very good. Also, they have a good dessert menu, which includes alcoholic drinks with ice cream. We were just too full to try them.

This place is incredible! 5 star. Delicious. Amazing service! Great drinks. The filet was incredible. The potatoes melt in your mouth. Bass was awesome. Really, don't waste your money on anything else. Come to Minerva's. I will now go here anytime I want to go somewhere nice or for a special occasion. It's the perfect place!

Service was terrible. Took 30 minutes after being seated to get a waiter. Not that impressed with the food- we've had better for less. It was the service that did us in.

Everything was just fabulous. Loved the oysters rock (the garlic was a disappointment for my husband, but I enjoyed), and the filet Balmoral was perfect with our Zin. Fabulous service from Amy...she was so kind to our 4yr old, and she provided attentive, but not overbearing, service. Classic & warm atmosphere without being stuffy (we sat in the lounge area)...I'm sure Foley's will be our after marathon dinner tomorrow!

Great experience! Our waiter, Joe, was tops and very knowledgeable about all the items on the menu including the wines. Coconut shrimp appetizer was very good. My wife had the trout and loved it. It was prepared perfectly and the presentation was great. I had the top sirloin and it was just as described on the menu, perfectly cooked and again the presentation great. Tiramisu was wonderful desert. My wife was in the upscale restaurant world for 20 years and she was quite impressed!

Steak is awesome. Do not order anything other then steak or you will be disappointed. They also have an ok beer and wine list. Service is standard and not standout, but ok.

Best steak I have had in years. Big boy portions on everything much appreciated. Great wine list. Service done well. Only negative boxed croutons. The fresh bread service was spot on. Use the day old bread. The highlight of the menu is definitely the beef stuffed with cream cheese and asparagus appetizer. Desserts were outstanding.

Best shrimp I have ever eaten! Steak was good nothing special. Expensive. Upscale restaurant for Sioux Falls, I've had better steaks for less.

We were looking for a fine dining experience as we were passing through and we found it! The food was WONDERFUL and the service was equally great! We had the oysters, coconut shrimp, steaks, sea bass and a wonderful dessert! Definitely give it a try!
(5)Nic K.
One of the better fine dining experence I have had in some time. Food was excellent. My kids were underdressed but bet good. Staff was great and again good everything we ordered was excellent

2nd trip to Foley's for business. Very nice atmosphere, although a bit noisy. My steak was done to perfection, and my sweet potato was as I ordered. I paired my steak with a nice bougelet. The only downside was the my salad was kind of blah! But I did not come fore the salad. A bit pricey, but overall I will stick to my 4 stars and would definitely stop back.

Foley's is my favorite upscale restaurant in Sioux Falls. I frequented Foley's while on celebratory dinners with my wife or while at a business dinner and I was never left with anything bad to say or hungry. I have had their steaks numerous times and it has always been prepared perfectly (I suggest adding sauteed mushrooms) The Foley's potatoes (a cheese hashbrown style loaded baked potato) is a must have side. Servers and bartenders are always courteous and helpful with questions. The only downfall is this place is rather expense and I can only afford to eat here a couple times a year.

I have dined here on many prior occasions and have had excellent meals and service. Tonight my experience was very different and certainly not excellent. For dinner 2 of us shared 3 appetizers. The crab cakes were soggy, cold and very thin. The lettuce used in the lettuce wraps was warm and wilted. Boston bibb lettuce may have been a better choice as well. We purchased an expensive glass of wine and were surprised by the very small portion received. The premium ice cream purchased for dessert was definitely not "premium", it was ordinary. The waitress was wonderful but short staffed so our service was very slow. Our water glasses were empty for most of time that we were in the restaurant. I was very disappointed by our experience tonight and will not likely return any time soon.

This used to be my favorite place to eat while in Sioux Falls for business, I thought they had great steaks, some of the best I had anywhere. However its clear they quality is dropped substantially based on my last two visits. The service continues to be very good and the sides, including vegetables, salads are also very good. But clearly they are buying a lower grade of meat and the steaks remind me of something you would get at outback but for a much smaller price. Definitely not worth the money they are charging. Bottom line once was great but no more, now its mediocre and expensive.
(2)Jeff W.
If you've never had really great food, you might consider Foleys pretty good. Nice atmosphere and decent food..., however I was gobsmacked that they brought me a baked potato that was so hard it was inedible. The rest of dinner was tasty and steak was cooked as ordered.

Was in town for work and wanted a good steak. I had the 22oz Corn-fed Bone-in Ribeye and it was great! I sat at the bar since I was solo and ate there, it was alittle dark and fancy place, but definitely the place for a well seasoned steak and a heavy check.

Went with my wife and my mother-in-law. I had the Namesake stake and it was very very good and huge. My wife had the duck which she said was excellent. My mother-in-law had the pork tenderloin which she really liked. The service was fast and friendly. It's a little spendy but worth it if you want a good steak with great atmosphere. If our group had it to do over again we would all have gotten steak even though the other meals were good. The steak is clearly their strongest offering.

One word: mediocre. Okay, okay, the service was impeccable, and the dirty gin martini, extra olives, was enough to turn 10 bad days into good ones. Yes, it was that good. Otherwise, however, I was sadly unimpressed. French onion soup...meh. Sure, it was hot, beefy, onion-y, with a large melted slab of gruyere. So what. It was good, but not GOOD. Not $10 GOOD. Okay, filet oscar: lump crab meat from the little tinfoil bags, if you know what I am talking about. Leg meat, dark, stringy, not at all tending towards the "lump crab" that the menu promised. And COLD. Really? However, I WAS distracted by the exquisitely seared filet. 4 inches tall is not a stretch, and perfectly crispy seared crust with a gorgeous burgundy rare center. Just warm to the palate--Mmmmm, lovely. Bearnaise on the side. Left it there. Certainly from a box, and I lamented that for about a minute until I decided the filet was so good it didn't even need accompanying sauce. Bread service offered 12 grain or sourdough baguette. Not great, not terrible. I would go back, without hesitation, for that very drinkable martini and the filet. Still makes my mouth water...anything else, choose Tre (owned by same affiliates---cheaper but better on the whole) or Bros. Brasserie (small, former cafe but serves delightful selection).

Huge light fixtures. Bottom line: If your going to charge that much, it better be excellent food with some flare. It seemed they took a mashed potato recipe straight out of JOC. We were just passing through so the hotel recommended this place. The atmosphere was a little too "tall" or ahead of itself, but not a turn off. The food was very good. I got the 22 oz sirloin and was very pleased; however, the garlic mashed potatoes on the side were fairly plain for a $28 meal. Big O had the Foley Salad (salad with steak, $20). The wine list was pretty good for this neck of the woods. Service was great.

We stopped in at Foleys after a long drive. We were not disappointed. Salads were fresh and unique. Steaks were excellent and service was first rate.
(4)Bryon L.
I had the Foleys salad with medium cooked steak. The meal and service were excellent and the atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming. I went with three others from work and everyone was pleased with dinner.

Going to Foley's is a bit like going on a date with a beautiful woman. When you walk in the doors, you think WOW! I have hit the jackpot! But as the date wears on, it becomes painfully obvious that beauty is only skin deep. Needless to say, the atmosphere at Foley's is top notch. The service is always great as well. Their beer selection is lacking a bit. But we can avoid it no longer, we have to talk about the food. It's never bad. But it's not great either. As another yelper put it, I can make a better steak on my grill. (But I am great on the grill. Just sayin'.) The apps are mediocre and be SURE not to get the crab cakes! Almost inedible. Pork chops, fish, pasta, blah, blah, blah. I have been all around this menu and there is still nothing that has rocked my world. (And at this price point in this market, that is what anyone would expect.) They need an overhaul in the kitchen. Not sure if it is the food, or the staff, but it is time!

We went to Foley's for dinner before the big Journey / Night Ranger concert as we passed thru the great state of South Dakota. With the ammunition of yelp, we chose this place and had a fantastic meal. The best we have had after a week on the road heading east. The wine selection was excellent and we had many options. The salads were a bit disappointing as the lettuce was still iceberg mostly. But the entrees were delicious, my g.f. had the gorgonzola crusted halibut and i had the tuna steak. They were served with a small sampling of veggies and red potatoes. We had a really nice experience dining there, but upon leaving, I said to my g.f., I wonder who eats there in Sioux Falls, it seems really expensive. Prices are on par with the food prices in L.A., not that it wasn't worth it, but even I couldn't justify it more than once a month.

Sunday night, so somewhat dead. Steak was ok. I have had much better. It was a petite filet. Service was fine. Of course I am only visiting and maybe this is as good as it gets?

We have eaten at Foley's prior to 12/17/11 and have never been disappointed. Yes, it is more expensive than some of the chain restaurants but the food has always been fabulous. We've always had great service as well. Our party of four ordered steak, seafood, and stuffed pork chop; all of which tasted delicious. We will definitely return!
(4)Tom D.
Not much to say about Foley's. It was good, but for what you pay, our group thought that Minerva's was much better (we'd eaten there the previous night). I'd recommend you stop there instead, if you're looking for a good steak or some seafood in the Sioux Falls area.
(3)Justin B.
Expensive, but worth it for the atmosphere and steak. Whenever I go back home to Sioux Falls I try to make a trip to Foley's. Honestly the best steak in town.

I agree with Robert M. Pretty good steak, had a group of about 12 people. They had no problem accomodating all of us, and the service was prompt. Food came in a timely manner, and they kept the drinks flowing.

THe most expensive Steakhouse in Sioux falls, nice place, pretty good steak.
