This is the first Mongolian BBQ I have been to in the US that is good. My standard is Singaporean and Hong Kong Mongolian Buffet. This is the first one I have been to in the US that is up to my standard. Good food selection. Good sauce selection and they don't have someone standing over you to ration the meat or sauces like so many places in the US. Good Job!!

I like it! My partner wasn't a fan. It's all you can eat and you get soup and rice with your meal. The service is what I don't like, I have had to ask for my check twice. I suppose that's because I eat to fast and am always ready to go.. I honestly think this place is 10x better than the Mongolian grill by Walmart, but my partner disagrees. Partner wanted to write this review and give the place 2 stars. I suppose it depends on the person. I say try it, it's yummy :)

Horribly expensive especially at dinner time with kids that are barely over 11. Way over priced for what you get!!

It simply costs too much. At $12.99 for all you can eat dinner, but there was no shrimp and no pork and the beef was like freeze dried jerky. For that entrée price I have many more options to choose from in Rapid City with better food and better ambiance. The service was okay, but I left feeling like I paid way too much for what I got.

I've been waiting for a long time for a good Mongolian Grill to come to Rapid City. Looks like I will be waiting awhile longer. Parking---unsatisfactory. Service nothing to write home about. Food was so so. Rice that comes with the meal---crunchy (both bowls), we never did get a fork (rice really hard to eat with chopsticks). If you have a hunger for a Mongolian Grill, either drive to Denver or go without---this place will not do.

This was my first time trying a restaurant in this chain, and the experience was average at best, and that is being generous. I've eaten at many Mongolian Grill restaurants in Asia and in California years before franchise restaurants started popping up all over the U.S. HuHot tries to approximate the experience, and they do a lousy job at it. This is a highly Americanized version of Mongolian BBQ. There is absolutely nothing authentic about it. The meats are sliced way too thick, not like the paper thin rolls that they're supposed to be. Also, the selection of meats doesn't include lamb, which is a must in Mongolian BBQ. The veggie selection is also a bit strange, but like I said, this is a very Americanized establishment. Dinner entrees come with either a soup or salad. I'm not sure which is worse. The "Asian" salad is Asian because of the canned Mandarin oranges they put on it along with the crumbles of uncooked instant ramen noodles sprinkled on top. Yeah, really. The hot and sour soup is definitely both hot and sour, but I couldn't bring myself to finish it. In short, if you aren't interested in authenticity (ie, you believe General Tso's chicken and fortune cookies are Chinese food, and not American inventions) then this place might be right up your alley. If you're looking for authentic Mongolian BBQ, then steer clear.

Great service (hostess, the guys in the grill and the waitress). And the food is good to. Eat as much as you like, but one bowl was enough for me. Next time I am in Rapid City I will definitely be back!

Service was excellent. For being in the middle of the country, this is a good place to have a meal. Don't expect to much of the usual asian vegetables, you are in the middle. Still a good variety.

What I like about this place is that it's all-you-can-eat. Most Mongolian BBQ give you one big bowl and price your raw meat and vegetables; this place charges you a flat fee and you can go back and get as many bowls as you want. They have a great selection of meats, to include tilapia and some other fish and shrimp. They also have spicy sausage in addition to the usual chicken, beef and pork. There are lots of different sauces, both spicy and regular as well as flavored oils. The noodles are available at the bar, and you can order rice separately. They have a giant grill and they do a good job of keeping the line moving. The place does get insanely busy so arrive early, maybe 5:30 or 6. Customer service was really good. Very friendly staff and the waitress kept beverages full and brought stuff out promptly.

On Mother's Day afternoon my son suggested we have dinner here. He brought several of his friends from college, plus we had several family members, including a 1 year old. This place was amazing! There is plenty of room for group seating, the food is an all you can eat, you get your choice of meat, including many seafood items, noodles, vegies and sauce. You build your own bowl then take it to the grill where it is cooked up for you. You can return as many times as you like. The food was fantastic. My only quibble is that I thought it was a tad expensive. We would definitely eat here again, though.

Pretty decent atmosphere all around though there was not a bar which would be a welcomed addition. It is all you can eat and decently priced. White rice is free if you ask for it. The food itself there wasn't necessarily an abundance of. The meats are frozen which isn't a favorite of mine at places like this. The sauces they have are great. Huge variety from no heat to extremely hot were nice. One complaint I have are the noodles. They aren't very authentic and are more or less like spaghetti. Real Thai style or Chinese noodles would be better. The food is made in about 5 minutes. The bowl are not very big though as I mentioned it is all you can eat if you feel like waiting in the food line and then agin for your food to be cooked. I will be returning especially since I have tried the other Mongolian restaurant in town and this one was much better.

Wonderful service and delicious food and appetizers and dessert Carmel apple wraps. Great food, good variety, the restaurant was very clean considering everyone is trying to pile up their little bowls. The food tasted great and it was nice having control of the flavor and amount of spice you wanted. Selection was pretty great variety from mild, sweet to spicy. Didn't have to wait long to get seated and start grabbing my bowl. Hope everyone gives it a try. It is never ending for one price... Ultimate all you can eat.

Service isn't the best, but at $12.99 a person for a dinner consisting of all you can eat Mongolian grill and an appetizer, the pricing is not bad. It's about $10 a person for lunch, but there are less options and no appetizer. Meats for dinner include: mild sausage, spicy sausage, pork, beef, chicken, mussel, crab, two kinds of fish. Lunch doesn't have the spicy sausage, one of the fishes, or the mussels. There are three types of noodles: Pad thai flat white noodles, yakisoba noodles, and the last, I believe is egg-based. Personally, I don't add any of the noodles, but use the cabbage as a healthy substitute instead. I wish there were more options for sauces and oils even though the selection is pretty expansive. If there is not enough room for you to add everything you want, go grab a second bowl and ask the cook to mix them when you get to the grill!

Excellent service and friendly staff! This is a perfect place to go if you want to control every ingredient in your Asian food especially the typical overdose of sauces that you get. I had a great meal and was in and out fairly quickly with a healthy meal.

great food good variety place was quite clean considering everyone is trying to pole up their little bowls. service was pretty good, though a little slow and the server forgot our soup and rice. the food tasted great and it was nice having control of the flavor and amount of spice you wanted. selection was pretty decent. didn't have to wait long to get seated and start grabbing my bowl, though it was during a slow time.

The service was great. The food was delicious and I loved that they must have had thirty different flavors of soda. It was fun getting to experiment with different flavors and combinations then watching them cook your bowl right on the spot. I would recommend this place to anyone.
