Ok this place is pretty bomb! The historical vibe of Mad Marry is palpable. The prime rib was amazing...perfectly cooked but next time I would ask for half as much seasoning. AND....if you like old fashions....go bourbon and stirred and not muddled....though I prefer rye they don't have a selection...just saying. I'll be back!!

Don't order the salmon, unless you are looking for it to be completely raw and staff with no knowledge of how they usually cook their fish. Perhaps the steaks are better and if so, suggest them removing the fish from the menu. Additionally, only get the fried mushrooms if looking for more batter than mushroom. Great looking atmosphere but too bad that doesn't fill the belly. Best of luck on your adventure here.

Enjoyable. The Rib Eye was a good cut of meat. I wish the cooks at the grill would lay off the salt a bit. Customers can always add more salt at their table if needed, but you can't remove salt when added during the cooking process. That being said, the steak was tasty and additional saucing was not necessary. I would eat at Mad Mary's again.

Had the ribeye and tin taters. The potatoes were very good with onions and bacon in a tin foil wrap. Very good bread and and the steam was good.

Old steak house atmosphere. Friendly wait staff. Had 7 oz prime rib -med rare with the tin taters. Flavor and doneness were excellent.

We have been going to Mad Mary's for years during pheasant season. We are usually a large group and difficult, but, the service is always amazing. The steaks are as good as it gets. I know for a fact they are all hand cut by the owner.

Stopped in for diner while in town on business. Felt in a carnivorous mood so I had their 18 oz Top Sirloin. Not the most tender steak of the cuts, but it was very tasty and fit the bill. Good service and reasonably priced. The atmosphere is what I expected in a cowboy setting. I would repeat

In town for a BB tourney. Food and service were great. Prime rib had by most and was very good. My kids loved the sirloin steak bites.

I stumbled upon Mad Mary's while traveling through Pierre. There aren't a tonne of options in Pierre, but I'm sure glad I picked this one! I had the 10oz Prime Rib and I've got to say it was the best steak I've had in a long long time. Super tender and marbled perfectly. Mary hand-cuts the steaks herself and uses a simple salt-pepper-garlic rub that brings out the flavors without over-powering the meat. The staff are great and the atmosphere is fun. I always like a place where the owner is involved. It shows.

Had dinner last night with friends & family. Steaks were well prepared & very good. Service cheerful. Draft beer selection leaves something to be desired. Will definitely return another time.

This place may not look very fancy, but the food is outstanding! My wife and I split a 14 oz ribeye that was cooked to perfection and seasoned just right. This steak was on a par with many that I've eaten at much more expensive steakhouses. The accompanying broccoli was also cooked just right, fresh and tender. The Tin Foil potatoes were delicious. They're cooked in foil with onions and bacon. I also want to comment on the courtesy we found here. We decided that 14 ozs was too much food for one, so we decided to split the dinner. Our waitress didn't bat an eye and was gracious enough to bring a second plate when the food arrived. They also had an excellent wine list and a good selection of liquors. I had a Grey Goose and my wife a Lohr Cabernet Sauvignon. If I find myself in Pierre I'd definitely come to Mad Mary's again!

What a disappointment! I had been here before and was amazed with the quality. After a good experience I went back. The meat quality was terrible. My guess was a select grade. The garlic mashed were just ok. The service was excellent but the rest needs improvement back to what it was a year ago.

Ii had a rare 7oz filet minion and it came out just right. Good steak and went well with some dry wine. Not biggest fan that there was mostly potatoes as side dishes but recommend this place to anyone who is a carnivore

I had the Prime Rib and Tin Taters. The Prime Rib was excellent. The wait staff was excellent as well. The next time I am in the area, I will stop here again.

Located down town off of main. Good prime rib. You pay for what you get.

To date best meal I've had in Pierre. They did an awesome prime rib sandwich. I tried the ribeye of a fellow guest, it was OK. Not noteworthy. The prices were very reasonable. Service was quick and friendly.

Decent steakhouse. Fun decor and a lively atmosphere. Probably among the one or two only places to eat well in downtown Pierre.

I use to live in Pierre and when returning to visit family I tried Mad Mary's. WOW, I felt like they just cut the steak off the cow and cooked it up for me in 30 mins. This was prime steak all the way. The sides were sloppy, but hey the steak was one of the best I ever had and for prices you would find at Outback. If you are ever in Pierre, South Dakota please check this place out and enjoy the old west atmosphere.

While driving through SD, we had the pleasure of eating at this small cafe/saloon. The special was prime rib which was cooked perfectly with all the usual sides. We had a martini before dinner and a decent glass if red with dinner, both a very generous pour. Hey it ain't Donovans, but a very satsfying dinner experience!
