Do you remember the hamburger shops of the 50s and 60s? This is the place to go. I love their double bacon cheeseburgers. But, if you are looking for the best BBQ ribs you found it here. Hand rubbed and slow smoked, the meat falls off the bone. Simply awesome, the only reason it is 4 stars and not 5 is the seating is limited

Great food, prefect pulled pork and smoked brisket sandwiches. This is a diner, not a BBQ joint and with that in mind, I gladly give 5 starts. I will definitely be back next time I'm in town.

Big toms diner was ok. We stopped in there looking for lunch and was underwhelmed. Food was quick, but nothing exceptional. Kids had burgers and fries. We had pulled pork sandwiches. They were good compared to the other choices around , or lack thereof.

I was here 3 years ago and looked for it when returning to Pierre. Food is very good and flavorful. The ribs just fell apart and the meat fell off the bone. The pulled pork did not have any fat wich is what the wife prefers. Definitely recommend to anyone that love BBQ. This place puts famous Dave's to shame! Good job guys!

2.5 stars this is a great pit/grub stop if you're on the road. the turkey sandwich and the burger we had were of decent quality, tasty, and affordable. the building is a bit run down and the employees looked like they are ten years old, but overall a good option.

Good food and good service! Brisket sandwich basket (7.99 - sandwich + side) was delicious but a little light on the bbq sauce. The meat was cooked very well. I had waffle fries as my side. They were fine, but I think I would try out a different side next time. Best food I've had so far while in Pierre.

I made sure I timed this for lunch. My mistake they were packed so I had to get my food to go. Due to the size of their pulled pork sandwich it is not safe to try and eat it and drive. Excellent quality and very tasty.

We love eating at Tom's when we go to Pierre to see the family...in fact we go twice when we're there. Brisket Basket is my favorite and their baked beans side is awesome! Fries & service are great also. One more thing, there's a sign in there stating that Elvis will be performing in August there... I knew he's still alive!

This is a great local place to eat. Full ice cream bar with folks working it who will create some unusual stuff. They also do their own barbeque. They make their own sauce, make their own cole slaw, and even make their own home made hamburger buns. Very involved employees, happy to be there serving high quality home made food. Some of the very best!!
