Burgers were made on the spot and had huge, fresh patties. Very tasty. Milkshake and soft serve ice cream were rich and delicious. Freeze was excellent. Staff was very friendly and helpful to obvious city slickers from a thousand miles away who will almost certainly never be back. They behave as if there's something more than simple money on the line - their pride, their town's reputation, something. Old school and admirable.

Service - Everybody was VERY welcoming and friendly. Not only did they provide great service, but they went out of their way to make conversations as they could clearly tell that we were from out of town. Food - The burger was delicious and fresh! The chicken tenders and fries were nothing to rave about but still good. The restaurant and bathrooms were also very clean. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars was due to their prices. Order everything a la carte! Burger - $4.10 Large fry - $2 .35 Small drink - $1.75 Combo - $9.25???

This is a five star rating for a fast food drive thru, not fine French cuisine, so do not compare the two. That being said.... Thank you... Thank you ... Thank you Yelp!!! Without you we never would have found this gem on our drive thru South Dakota. The place was clean. The staff was adorable!! Super friendly!!!! The broasted chicken is some of the best chicken I have ever eaten hands down. Yes, we had to wait a WHOLE 15 minutes for it, but played a little catch with my sons outside and before long there was our tray. Everything was so fresh and delicious. It was the perfect break during our day of driving. Thank you again YELPERS!!

My parents and I ate here during our road trip and I have nothing bad to say about this place! The employees were extremely friendly and the food...AMAZING! My dad had the cheese burger, my mom had a burger with everything on it, and I had the bacon cheese burger. It was definitely the best bacon cheese burger I've had in years!! If you are passing through Murdo, STOP AND EAT HERE!

Like an oasis in the night... we rode in late one night - stayed at a motel nearby... hit up YELP and found the Murdo Drive-In with too many good reviews I trooped over the girls - and WOWZER! too bad the vegetarian stayed back in the room to sleep! WE gorged ourselves - had awesome FRIENDLY Service right before they closed and had one of the best meals on the road! Very nice to Biker Chicks and we appreciated that!

Driving through the gateway to the American West, my family came upon the Murdo Drivein through some online I-90 restaurant searching. Luckily my I-pad came through and found enough Internet coverage to direct us to this little gem. Enjoyed a pizza burger (had better but not bad), BLT (good bacon), and some delectable cream corn poppers along with some fine burgers. The star of the show was the rhubarb sundae. Great tang, not too sugary, stewed rhubarb sauce. An old fruit Midwest treat that's only in season this time of the year! Side note - usually I am an extremely healthy person. Enjoying these eats is an extreme treat and thus we were pleased to find reasonable portions (not huge!), light grease, and an incorporation of some local foods.

Found this gem from the roadfood.com web site. A little off the beaten path and not much to look at - but the food was awesome. Great burgers, fries, onions rings and malts. A quick stop on the way to the Black Hills that is well worth it!

My wife & I had dinner here while staying overnight in Murdo. I had the bacon cheeseburger which was good but for $4.55 we felt it should have been deluxe (lettuce, tomato or even onion). She had the Hawaiian Grilled Chicken Sandwich that only had a pineapple ring on it - no lettuce or any sauce (usually has terriyaki sauce). It did have a good size piece of chicken breast. We had very good onion rings that were made with real onions which unfortunately has become unusual most places. I also had a cherry milkshake that was so thick it came with both a straw & a spoon - very flavorful.

We've stopped at a number of drive-in places on our trip through Nebraska/South Dakota and this is one of the better ones. Better-than-average food (as the wife said, the tacos tasted like the kind you'd have if you were a guest in someone's home) and decent service. I didn't find the service to be quite as friendly as others have noted, but it was fine. Certainly glad we stopped.

Everyone was ridiculously nice to us here. They truly cared about our happiness. The burgers were delicious and the onion rings were my favorite kind, with a thin, crispy batter. Yummy! This place is super family friendly. We were all thinking about how we could go back on our way back through. I save 5 stars for my very favorite restaurants, but this was perfect for our lunch today so I am giving it 4 stars. OK, so this is a few days later, and we DID stop here again on our way back to Minnesota. It was delicious again. This time I had the tacos. If I lived in this town, I would make my way over to this drive-in every Friday night with my kids in tow!

Stopped in after a long day driving. They offer hamburgers, hotdogs, tacos, onion rings, slushies, and ice cream. The posted hours were 11 am to 10 pm. We got there a little before 10pm and they stayed open and served us and more people who came in. I didn't see grilled cheese on the menu board, but the lady said they could make one for me. My son said his corn dog was really good and my daughter loved her chocolate peanut butter milkshake. The people working there were very nice. It's a cash only business.

Great food! had the chicken and the onion rings. the chicken was cripy and juicy and the onion rings were awesome. Also great deal on the ice cream you get a heaping 16 oz cup for 3.50. the only reason I dont rate it higher is that the clientel consisted of families with young children that were very very loud which i guess isn't the restaurants fault but i feel you should know.
