I loved this little candy shop in Keystone. The main thing I saw that drew me in was the fluffy divinity candy. My grandma used to make this stuff, and I rarely see it for sale, so that made me really happy. Unfortunately it wasn't as good as grandma's but still close enough. We were just in the shop briefly but the cashier who helped us was very friendly. I'll be sure to go back when I visit Keystone again.

I had a tasty morning Latte with Macadamia Nut syrup here. Also picked up a Dark Chocolate Haystack (coconut) and a Dark Chocolate Almond Cluster. The dark chocolate is pretty good and I liked both items I ordered. Friendly staff. Good decor showcasing their truffle and Keystone.

Went to Turtle Town on vacation and ordered ice cream in waffle cones, strawberry fruit smoothie, and a coffee milkshake. The waffle cones leaked, the "fruit" for the smoothie was a disgusting syrup, and the coffee milkshake was all milk and no flavor. We asked for a new milkshake and it was just as flavorless, asked for a refund on the smoothie and the manager said she couldn't do a refund because she would have to void it out on her register. When we asked her to go ahead and void it, she just stood there and stared at us and didn't respond. There are plenty of other places to go on the Keystone boardwalk for ice cream- go to any except Turtle Town!

Terrible service. Staff was laughing and cracking immature jokes. Didnt know the flavors of their candy then made jokes about not knowing. Got it anyways and was gross.

Were Dante to write the store sign for this place it might say this: "Abandon diets all ye who enter here." My husband asked this: "Who are YOU kidding?" when in Keystone I suggested we just pop in for an Americano to go given I knew Turtle Town uses Lavazza coffee and good coffee is as rare as hen's teeth in this part of South Dakota. My husband was justified in his cynicism of my motive, of course. Because the candies are all home made here and how can one resist, right? Plus the aroma of the fresh chocolate and butter and sugar is intoxicating so one can be forgiven, right? Not to mention there are no calories when on vacation, right? Ah. We can find all kinds of excuses to sin in diet territory, can't we? So in addition to the good Americano made by the friendly owner, we bought a bag of fresh chocolate covered almond toffee (for my husband lest we think he sinned not) and a really big dark chocolate cashew turtle for me. Devored in the car with our coffee on the way from the Borglum Museum down the Peter Norbeck scenic byway in Custer State Park, I felt not the least bit of guilt. However in the mode of it being the opportunities we do not take on vacation bringing more regret than the temptations to which we succumb, that Turtle Truffle I didn't buy here is what I was thinking about later. Which would lead me to the Turtle Town in Hill City. But that's another story for another review. If you're in Keystone, you really should stop in here. But, I'll offer up watch you step if you're walking or rolling in as the little ramp in the door is tricky given the door that operates of the two swings right into the coffee counter. Not so much a problem going in, although it may be too narrow for wheelchairs or strollers now that I think of it. But it is a problem coming out because it is an odd slope if you're not paying attention with your attention focused on your bag of candy. I nearly fell on my keister. And wouldn't that have been Divine punishment for my indulgence? As to our choices, I found the toffee just a bit sweet for me, but great texture with lots of almonds. The cashew turtle was absolutely perfect. I dream about that wicked good turtle. With a nod to my Yelp friend Lydia L., I offer this: youtube.com/watch?v=91Y9…

Driving back from a fogged in Mt Rushmore, we were looking for a sugary treat to cheer us up.....enter Turtle Town Sad to say we did not care for this fudge at all. It was *way* too sweet ( & for me this is saying something b/c I have a world-renowned sweet tooth ) & not smooth at all - we could taste the sugar granules I brought a slab of Chocolate / Peanut Butter back to SF w/ me & after 1 taste, I placed it in my work kitchen to pass off to my unsuspecting coworkers. All I could taste was the granulated sugar - no chocolate & definitely no PB Even worse, brought back some for Mom & Dad & they don't even have my level of sweet tooth.... so they really, really, didn't care for it - they tasted Chocolate w/ Nuts; Maple & something else I can't remember & all they told me was that it was too sweet & everything tasted the same. Nothing was worthy in their opinion which was too bad since they totally love their fudge Sorry guys, we've had better

OMG! The B-E-S-T fudge I have ever tasted! We stopped by here after dinner for some sweets. They were on the verge of closing for the night, but were kind enough to let us in to fill out sweet tooth cravings. Diane, the owner was hard at work cleaning up and still had a smile on her face. She makes all of the sweets here and does a great job. We had the dark chocolate fudge with pecan (1/2 pound of it!) and one coconut cluster thingy. The dark fudge was phenomenal! Not too sweet, the right consistency, and filled with pecans. A must visit place if you have a craving or two....and don't forget the cash, they're cash only. BTW, Michelle Obama visted the place last month and Diana has the White House letter and photo of her and Michelle proudly displayed by the entrance. Stop by and say hi!
