Route 66 theme. Service was friendly. My sirloin steak was served a bit rare with no seasoning. I was asked to cut to check it. After returning steak to grill for a bit it was cooked to my liking. The price was $19 for a 10 oz steak. others in area had it for $15. Price did include a salad bar with bland tasting dressings. Flys in the place bothered me. The food was acceptable. The baked potato was small but very good. Had to ask for butter. Chives was not an option but they did chop some onions at my request. The blueberry pie was very good. Next time I will try a different place.

Not a bad little place, and wins the prize for the prettiest bill! One star off for instant oatmeal, but there were real blueberries in the pancakes.

Being lazy about finding a place to eat clearly does not pay off. I was staying at the hotel next door, saw this place and decided to check it out. Additionally, a bigger name does not mean better quality. At first glance, the place looks like an antique store. I'm not sure if it is just me or other people also get a similar impression. This might sound a little weird, but it doesn't strike me as a place you would go to eat. Once you walk in, you realize there is a gift shop you have to go through to get to the dining area. It is very open, and decorated with the "classic" diner motif (ubiquitous placement of road signs and license plates). The place was also oddly quiet despite being well into dinner time, with the exception of the Beach Boys' Greatest Hits on repeat... I should have taken it as a sign when the waitresses were very snooty and rude from the beginning- making several snide remarks about me or other customers and gossiping (all within earshot). The menu was fairly extensive with many traditional diner choices (steaks, burgers, sandwiches, kids menu) and some Mexican food thrown in. The downside- the prices are outrageous and the food is terrible. I ordered a sirloin steak, which came out a few minutes later. Oddly, the waitress asked me to cut into it to make sure it was done (at that point I lost all hope).. it was rare, I ordered medium. I sent it back and it came back medium rare. I gave up being as hungry as I was- the steak wasn't seasoned at all and they didn't offer me any steak sauce. The mashed potatoes looked and tasted like they were scooped out of a huge tub and smothered with a blob of sickly, congealed gravy. When the check came around, the waitress put on a façade of politeness. In short, do not eat here unless you enjoy mediocre, overpriced food and discourteous service. You could not pay me to come back to this place.

We were staying next door in the hotel, but fast regretted the decision to eat here. The server was super nice, but that was the extent of it. We got the buffet and it included the salad bar on a Sunday, which was a big mistake. We got there right when they put the food out and it was still only luke warm, plus the chicken had been warmed up from the previous day. The "grandma" that seats you is right down nasty! She picked cantaloupe from the salad bar with her bare hands and then later picked her burgers. I wonder if she did that before eating the cantaloupe too??? I would pass this place as I will not be back!

Good was ok, but overpriced. $10 for a French dip that was nothing more than a store-bought bun and a little deli roast beef. Pies were very good. Service was nice.
