Very nice and clean place to eat while driving through. My husband got the rib special and we very satisfied. It was a generous portion size and tasted good. I ordered the blt with a side of fries. It tasted as expected. We received our gfoof quite quickly and the service was nice.

While traveling through on business, i decided to stop through. Staff was friendly, as one would expect. It was a very casual place with a couple of TV's up near the bar. Menu ranges from sandwiches in the $7-$10ish range. BBQ platters are more around the $15 price point. I opted for the chicken parmesan sandwich and waffle fries. For those two items and a drink, it ended up running me about $15 - which seems a tap pricey for small town SD. It's worth a stop if you are hungry, but I probably wouldn't go out of my way next time.

Apparently this is their version of a pulled pork sandwich. Ordered three of these sandwiches for take-out and they went straight to the garbage. Meat was chewy and tough, the buns were stale and the overall appearance was undesireable. Waste of $. Shameful.

This place has good food. BBQ is pretty good. The chicken, brisket, pulled pork, shrimp. I had it. Would deff recommend this place if passing thru.

Great food, inside is nicely done. I had the 3 meat platter with beans and a salad. This place is a great find in a small town. I would go 5 stars but the service was lacking and it took about 1/2 hour to get our food.

Small town restaurant with decent menu selection and fairly good food. This appeared to be the place that the locals eat at so I'm guessing Firehouse Diner is as good as it gets in Gettysburg. Was understaffed so service was a little slow, but they were working hard. 3 stars normally but 4 stars for a small town with few options. Bottom line, I would eat here again.

I was in Gettysburg for work and was looking for good place to eat. After driving through town, I decided this place looked the most promising. There is a relaxed small town feel and good costumer service. The menu had a good selection with fair prices. The burgers and sandwiches don't come with any sides. The pork sandwich I ordered was good pork but for being a bbq place I expected bbq suace on a generous serving of pork on a crisp bun, but ended up being pretty plain tasting pork on a soggy bun. This restaurant probably deserves three stars but because of where it is, and the lack of other food in the town I'll give it four stars
