Overall a great find in a small town. The waitstaff was friendly and attentive. Bar tenders were pouring fun shots and were willing to put on the football game we wanted to watch. Food was as good as could be expected. Not 5 star dinning but good bar food with some healthier not fried options. I ordered the chicken philly sandwich and fries and you could tell both were prepared fresh and were tasty.

My Prime Rib was good, but my wife's chicken fried steak was half the size of a hockey puck and about as flavorful. It came with a baked potato that was the size of a loaf of bread, and not completely baked. Hardly worth the $15.00 menu price. When the server asked how things were, we told her, and all she could say was 'oh', and she walked away. Kim didn't finish her meal and when the server returned, we told her why. She threw up her hands and rolled her eyes and said "what can I do? I'm only a waitress!" in a condescending manner. I told her that that was not good customer service and why she would always be "just a waitress". She left again and came back and did say that "the boss" wanted to know if Kim wanted something different, but by then we had had enough and it was time to leave. It would have been nice if "the boss" had come to the table in person. Not a very favorable dining experience.

Stop here 3 weeks ago on the way home to Delaware from South Dakota. The staff was very friendly and the food was amazing. I'm headed back to South Dakota on October 10th and plan to make this a stop on the way to Rapid City and the way back to Delaware.

The service at this place is always good. Those of you that are from out of state will soon discover that the standards for customer service in this part of the country are really lacking. I've always had good service and I've been here 6+ times. Their sandwiches/burgers are very good. Their order of jalapeno poppers is HUGE. In fact, their portions of everything here are generous. For lunch/dinner this place always has a good crowd and is good for families or a group of friends alike. ' Their late night atmosphere by the bar is friendly without being "trashy" if you know what I mean. It is way better than the Gateway restaurant up the hill by Pizza Hut. If you're an out of towner and wonder if you should take a 2 minute drive to try this instead the answer is an unquestionable and loud YES! I don' recommend: their Taco Salad (it's more like a sloppy joe salad and it looks and tastes really iffy) Major Hit or Total Miss: their buffet (it always changes, and their meat can have this weird icky after taste) NOTE Update on the review: Management recently changed here. A few items are off the menu while others still remain. They are in transition mode so the service can be iffy.

Never going to visit again. My wifes family and I were visiting for a fishing trip and we decided to eat here. When we walk in we got shuffled into the bar area where we watched a gal clean the table then had us move it for her from the group before us. As the six of us sat down and ordered drinks they came out ok but missing a few drinks. It was never fixed. We then proceed to order apps that never even made it to the kitchen. We had no apps but decided to order food anyway. After two rounds of empty drinks and about an hour later our food comes out. Looked like it had sat on the warmer for about 30 minutes. We almost got up and walked out. Don't even get me started on the food.

Eat here for large portions, drink here out of 36oz. mugs. Bust open a peanut from your basket that they give you. Place could have played music or something. Don't know if that's because it was so late but I enjoyed this place. Great prices, pretty good food, and you sure do get a lot of it.

So disappointed in what this place has become. They use to make the best homemade pizza. Apparently that is no longer an option even though it's on menu. The dining area is trashy but bar is newer and cool. Drinks are ok, service is ok, and the food is below average. Wish it was as good as when it first opened.
