We stopped this week on our way through town. We have stopped before on the way to the Sturgis motorcycle rally. This time I had the Cowboy Burger, which is a bacon cheeseburger with a fried egg on top. It was pretty good. The restaurant has that small town cafe feeling, with good food at a good price.

Stopped here on the way to Sturgis Bike Week. One would think they would up the quality a bit for a good recommendation, but no. Service sucked. Food sucked. Salad bar? You call that a salad bar? Signs all over...you're afraid to touch it.

The atmosphere is exactly what you would expect for the location. Plenty of fishing signs and knick knacks on the wall. It's self-seated and doesn't seem like it is ever packed. The server was friendly and courteous. They don't advertise the wings but the server knew them by memory. Had the spicy garlic and they weren't too bad, wanted more drumsticks though. Going off atmosphere and taste is what I gave the rating.

Chamberlain, SD: sustenance served at your table Hubby wanted something decent for dinner after driving over 980+ miles today. He'd been here before. This was my first visit. OUR ORDERS Classic 12 oz Ribeye Steak, Hash Brown potatoes, and Salad Bar Classic Reuben Sandwich, Sweet Potato Fries Glass of Cabernet Sauvignon Chocolate malted milkshake I'm happy that hubby enjoyed his steak. It was adequate and a more appealing choice to him than a fast food alternative. I, on the other hand, think that I would have received better value for my money had I gone to a fast food restaurant. The menu described the Reuben to contain thin slices of corned beef brisket, sauerkraut, between rye bread slices. I received two 1/8" slices of tendonous corn beef on what appeared to be maybe a marbled rye bread, with a few slices of sauerkraut. It was not a hearty sandwich, being extremely thin and underwhelming! It was the size of a grilled cheese wich with corned beef instead of the cheese. However, the sweet potato fries were wonderful, crispy on the outside, tender on the inside. The salad bar was also underwhelming, offering just chopped iceberg and limited toppings. The wine was fine but my Chocolate Malted Shake filled a tall glass 3/4 of the way, with whipped cream filling up the rest of the glass. I could barely taste either the malt or the chocolate syrup. It was also gagging sweet in taste. Service was friendly. Our server apologized for the several flies zooming about. The restroom was clean but had little power in the flush. I won't be in any great hurry to return soon.

We got a chicken salad, french dip, and kids mac and cheese. Service was okay but waitress had to be reminded to bring our drinks. Ouch. The chicken salad had canned mushrooms and the green beans side was canned and bland. Salad was serviceable and French dip was really mediocre. We didn't stick around for desert. Pass.

Fresh lemonade on a 90 degree summer day in July, crayons and papers for the kids while we wait on the grub, waitress Faye with a raspy voice , fresh pies in the coolers... Some down home food in South Dakota ... Good times

Small town feel with a friendly waitress. Great burgers. Would recommend the Anchor Burger ($8.50) and definitely get the 'sidewinders' as your side over the French fries.

Overall the place was okay. Had a pretzel burger that was good. My little brother got the nachos which they brought without guacamole. The waitress didn't tell us they were out until he asked why it wasn't on it. Ten bucks for a plate of nachos with no guacamole was pretty much a rip off. You get three stars, but I won't be back.

Very friendly staff. Super good breakfast, however the biscuits that came with biscuits and gravy were on the hard side. Other than that, delicious!

Decided to try this place out after a day of work. The waitress was friendly and accommodating. I ordered chicken wings and a quesadilla. The wings were moist and flavorful. The quesadilla was stacked with ingredients inside. I like how their pies are homemade. Atmosphere was a bit bland in a diner setting, but I definitely would come back here to eat again.

Very friendly staff and atmosphere. Hostess went out of her way to accommodate my needs. Over all, it's a feast place for everyone. You can see true South Dakota in this place.

A decent place for breakfast. It's a comfort food breakfast. The type your belly recognizes as comfort food. Hashbrowns, eggs, biscuit, pancakes, bacon. That's about all I would come to this place for or their burgers. Not really anything else. We don't go often because we try to eat healthy. Just on those mornings when we're mad at nothing ....and we don't care about the world....and we want to feel fat and guilty. Haha. My husband loves the double buffalo burger. But he's a bottomless pit : )

Clean, great service and yummy diner food. Located in a cute little downtown area about 1.5 miles off I90.

Really? Negative one star is what I would give this place. The service was satisfactory but the recommended Walleye was the worst I ever had. I grew up on fresh Walleyed Pike and this fish was definitely breaded and frozen. The breading was so awful that my husband spit it out ( a thing he would never do)! Do not waste your time. Even the salad bar was pathetic. Most of what was presented was unrecognizable. Iceberg lettuce how eighties. Please disregard this place if you feel you even have a measure of good taste. Very dissatisfied!

Grilled chicken sandwich was good, hard to go wrong there. Stopped here for lunch on the way from Rapid City to Sioux Falls. Not many healthy options.

Pleasant family restaurant with local charm. The menu is varied and breakfast is served all day. Don't miss out on the delicious homemade pie!
