Our meal was salty bland. Our first sign should have been when another table sent their food back. We live down the road and were hoping for a hidden gem, sadly we were very disappointed. The salad wedge and French onion soup were descent at best. But to be honest the service was below par, and the food was bland and OVER priced. Next time we will drive a bit further up the road to City Tavern.

Always good service. The area's best kept secret. Quiet dining, delicious entrees and attentive Mgmt and staff.

Today, we went to one of our favorite restaurants and was extremely disappointed. Hamburgers came to our table looking beautiful in a special bun. It was so big; We had to cut into them and they were completely raw. They were ordered well done. Waitress rushed them back and we waited a while to have them brought back to our table; she brought fresh cooked burgers. This time I cut the burger that was more done but blood still oozed out of it. My husband's was a little more done but neither were well done. The waitress had ran our bill because she knew we needed to eat and run. My husband asked for her to refund the check. The cook actually came out and insisted the burgers were done. I am sorry but her lack of professionalism was very uncalled for. Other customers were watching her tell us our burgers were done. We get food "to go" here all the time. It is always awesome. We also gave been one of their biggest customers and advocates and probably will continue to be but not during the day shift. The last time we ate "in"we went with friends. I was so embarrassed because my steak was super thin and way over cooked. It was so tough I could hardly swallow. But we have gotten food to go probably 15 times since the tough thin steak and all has been excellent. So why am I writing the bad review? I don't want this fabulous resturant to go down hill. I want it to survive. The owner is an incredible cook. I hope that this isn't becoming a trend. This is a special place that I want continue to enjoy for many years. A smaller burger may get done easier and faster.

I really liked this place. It is tucked away and not easy to find, but you'll be glad you went. The food was great!

This used to be the best place to dine in Lake Wylie. We were there a couple of weeks ago and found the food to have no flavor and the service was terrible. We asked the owner what had changed because we had never had a bad meal there before now, and were told that they have new chef. The food tasted like it was prepared for someone on a bland diet. No flavor at all. He even left the garlic out of the garlic mashed potatoes!!! And the service was poor too. We had to ask for refills five times before we actually got our water glasses refilled.

If you are looking for true "southern comfort food" this is the place. Everything is fried, lathered in lard, veggies are cooked till soften and meats are salted and cooked till hardened. Location: Off the beaten path. Ambience: Cozy. Service: Excellent. Southern charm all the way! Food: This is the place to come get your fried okra, biscuits, southern green beans and country fried steak. Today I ordered what I thought would be a healthy turkey sandwich; the bread was so ladened with butter that I couldn't taste anything else so I took of the butterbread and ate the salted, toughened turkey. My husband ordered the pork loin and had to get the steak knife out. This is not to say the food was bad - it wasn't....... you just can't expect to get healthy or fresh food here - which was our mistake.

Fabulous meal! Service was the best we have had in a very long time. We had salmon & pecan crusted chicken (2 different dishes)....outstanding. We've lived here 12 years and wish we had known about this cozy, elegant restaurant much sooner.

The Concord Cove (and its owners) are very customer oriented... and we always enjoy our meals when we dine here. Recently we had been on a trip to Kentucky, and I had had a delicious breakfast in a restaurant there. It was a limited-time offering named for the season... autumn. I had wanted to relive that experience and saw no reason it needed to be seasonal! It had both southern appeal and also was actually a variation on benedicts. I contacted Kristin about this benedict, described it for her, and suggested that she give it a try. She replied several days later that she was going to run it as a special on Nov. 22nd. Thus, I appeared at Concord Cove at 10AM on the 22nd and relived a wonderful benedict experience... only BETTER. YES, BETTER than the original inspirational benedict! (The original had poached eggs with yolks a little too firm for my taste. I prefer firm whites & warm runny yolks.) The Concord Cove has a wonderful lunch/brunch offering on Saturday... well worth trying on any leisurely Saturday morning. The newly-offered Concord Cove Style Benedict: English muffins, spread with some pimiento cheese, topped with country ham, topped with sautéed sliced mushrooms, PERFECTLY cooked poached eggs, smothered with EXCELLENT hollandaise sauce... and a side of cheese grits! OH MY... yes! I hope this will become a regular menu item! Delicious. It was also good to see Johnny looking very well and cheerfully visiting with the restaurant guests that morning! Like old times. We love this restaurant for so many reasons!

We went for brunch on a Saturday morning. You could order breakfast or lunch, even at 9:30 in the morning. Most of us got the eggs and different breakfast meats. Made to order however you like your eggs. Eggs were good, country ham, bacon and sausage were all good. Hash browns were like the hash brown sticks from McDonalds. Not very original. Good biscuits. None of us had the pancakes, but they looked very substantial, todays were blueberry. Service was very pleasant and very fast.

Very Disappointed! Not only was the bread somewhat stale, the crackers were past the expiration date. Brought out the salad with no dressing on it or on the side. The Shrimp/Vegetable pasta dish had a weird taste and way too much sauce and consisted most of Broccoli and mushrooms with about 6 Shrimp. All for $24.00!! What a rip off. Will not have dinner there again. Way too expensive for the quality of food.

Fantastic good, great service. Never a bad meal. Generous portions too! Wine by the glass is a generous portion as well.
