Mexican Cuisine
If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.
Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.
Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.

I was headed back from a cruise with my friends and stopped by to grab a quick lunch. Service was fast and easy. When we walked in we sat at a larger booth rather than a table. I assumed we would be placed at a table with six people. The booth was comfortable but definitely felt a little crunched in. My friends and I placed our orders from the lunch special menus that is offered Monday through Saturday for under $10. A lot of choices and worth the money. Our orders came out with a couple minor mistakes. One of my friends modified their order but the food just came out as if she never changed anything on the original order. Overall it was a great stop and I would definitely stop by again!

The food here was really good-got the shrimp fajita But avoid their margarita unless you tell them to skip the blue salt rim and get a top shelf mix otherwise you'll be disappointed. Had a new waitress when we asked her what beer was on tap she didn't know what that meant - we persevered / sent back the margarita and got a refreshing dos Equis- overall food was good and would go there again

Not bad Tex-Mex-leaning Mexican, though with more options and diversity of food than most Americanized Mexican restaurants. The interior looks a bit worn but the staff is very friendly, the service is prompt and the food arrived quickly and--most importantly for me, honestly--they had Mexican soccer on the TV. Nothing really different from Mexican at most places though, fair prices, ok chips but I've had better, the salsa was kind of bland but that's probably what many customers expect, the tamale was quite good while the chalupa was just ok. I would stop again if in downtown but there's other places to eat closer to the interstate exit all the same. I guess three and a half stars? They were really sweet and I want to rate them higher but again, nothing truly different nor outstanding here overall.

This place was pretty good. My boyfriend and I met here because it is halfway between us. We got the fajitas for two with chicken, steak, and shrimp. We enjoyed it and will probably be back!

Didn't expect to have such flavorful food in the middle of nowhere of 95 south. The fajita texanas is a go for.

Food was really good. The Chipotle Chicken is delicious, charbroiled chicken on a bed of onion and green peppers covered by chipotle sauce. The vegetarian chicken (?) was also very good.

Good atmosphere. The menu is extensive. Chips are fresh. Salsa is very good with lots of cilantro. I had a dish with zucchini and yellow squash-very good.

This is a worthwhile stop to eat. My son and I shared the fajitas Texas which is a steak, chicken and shrimp combo. Very good portion size and very good flavor. Definitely worth the price.

This place is awesome. Found it passing down 95. At 6pm on a Thursday I didn't expect the place to be jam packed but didn't expect to be the only person in there besides the staff either Don't let that fool you. The food was awesome. The chips weren't overly salty but had enough. The salsa was very tasty. I has the enchilada suizas. Not sure what the pineapple was but I ate it first anyways. The pico, and queso was fantastic. The chicken was perfectly seasoned. Excellent meal. I do a lot of driving around the southeast. I will definitely remember this place!

Probably the best Mexican food you will find in this area. Good service, fast, and inexpensive. Tacos de Carne Asada are excellent! If they made their own tortillas I'd have given it 5 stars.

Have you ever suddenly realized that you are drunk a few bites into your fajita? Well, that sensation and a wide selection of tasty Mexican dishes await you at El Pueblo. Even the salsa was tasty...although the chips could have used a little salt. Our pleasant party of four found El Pueblo via Yelp as we headed down I-95. It wasn't too far off of the interstate. Starting with the drinks...we sampled the lime margarita as well as the Texan margarita...each 27 oz...$5 and change vs. $7 respectively. The Texas margarita more than delivered. See paragraph 1. We sampled the pork fajita, vegetarian combo, taco salad and another taco, enchilada type combo. All of the dishes were excellent. It was flavorful, reasonably priced and the portions were big. The service was good and the food came out quickly. Within the US borders anyway, we fancy ourselves as Mexican food experts. We've tried it from coast to coast and everywhere between. You never know what you might find off the highway. But folks, El Pueblo is the real deal. Highly recommended.

Four and a half stars! What? This wasn't bad for South Carolina, but in Colorado I give this one star. The food itself was worth three, but like I said before, only with the SC break.

The food was fantastic! Salsa was the best we've had in a long time. The service was great. The employees responded and acted very professional when a very drunk customer was acting horrible in the restaurant. If I lived in Walterboro SC, I would be eating there a lot!

Bleh. The service has gotten so bad here, or maybe it's just me. The attentiveness is next to nil. The servers hang out in the bar area and don't acknowledge you. What happened?

A yummy option for locals or i95 travelers ( like us). Ok, the margaritas made Gatorade green seem like a natural color but I also ordered the Carne Asada tacos - beef, onion, and cilantro. Simple. Tasty. Satisfying. Good job!
