Going to be honest I loved Ruby Tuesday when I lived in Nashville, but once I moved to South Carolina I never went to one too often. Once I moved here to Sumter I tried it several more times and always seemed to have some sort of an issue. This was especially the case on parties of four or more! Tonight I wanted to give them one more try. We sat in the bar section with Daniel being our server and it was pretty good! Both service and food was well done and the way you would expect from the chain. I hope that they continue on this path!

I was surprised to see this place rated so low! It is actually one of the only places in Sumter we have found that has a nice brunch, and I love their salad bar. We've always had good service and the atmosphere is as good as any other chain restaurant. I have only been there for Sunday brunch, but have had absolutely zero complaints and I have many food- loving friends who like it too.

I keep reading and hearing bad reviews about this one in Sumter. I haven't had that type of experience though and I've been there several times over the years. I love the salad bar better than any around. Last time, I had the chicken tacos and they were better than anywhere else too. The service was fine, never had anything to complain about. But I'm not overly critical either. It probably could have been faster. To sum up, I've never really had a problem with their food or staff. Are they the best restaurant in town? No, but they are ok.

I ordered the blackened tilapia with green beans and broccoli. The fish was undercooked and green beans were rushed. As far as service, our waitress was polite but fairly inattentive. I will likely not return to this location.

There are one or two things on the menu that are good but unfortunately there is way too much to dislike about this place that the food cannot make up for. Upon relocating to Sumter last year we ended up coming here a lot because my kids like the kids mac and cheese. However, it got worse and worse every time and at this point we'll probably never go back. For one thing, the place is filthy. On one trip I actually had to ask the waitress for a wet rag because my table was sticky. Rather than move us or even wipe down the table, she handed me a wet rag and walked away! And the service in this location is breathtakingly bad. Every time we would go in we would wait at least 10 minutes before someone would even take our drink order and God help you if you want another beer or glass of wine, you practically have to go in the back and get it yourself. The curious part about the horribly slow service is the fact that most of the time there was only one or two other tables occupied so what the hell are the servers doing back there?! I kept thinking it had to just be a bad night or something but every...single...time...the service was like this.

I came here twice... Not by choice. The food sucked both times. The New Orleans seafood is bland. I can make it better at home. The mini burgers I had were burnt and the buns were hard. They did manage to squirt a dime sized amount of mayo and ketchup on each burger... I wouldn't waste my money or time coming here.

Horrible experience here. Party of 3 and only ordered entrees and multiple mistakes on order. Salmon was overcooked. Chicken sandwich with avocado was mediocre & Louisiana fish dish was decent but bland overall. Tables were sticky, although wiped clean. Silverware was dingy, and salad bar was sloppy. I wouldn't go here ever again as there are many other restaurants nearby.

Absolutely the worst Ruby Tuesday I've ever been in and I've been in a lot. Wrong food, bad service, poor training. Waiter doesn't know the menu which is a must when you have a few things that are similar. Then discovered she wasn't new.

Came one night before a movie to grab a drink and appetizer with my husband whom is military affiliated, this location happens to reside next to a military base, no biggie right- so we used our out of state driver's license. The bartender looked at them and was iffy so he showed them to his mgr. on duty. the idiot looks, flips them over and hands them to us, starts shaking her head. She says I can't accept these. We proceed to pull out our military ID...she says no I can't help you those aren't going to work...no explanation, no professionalism, no apology....blatant REFUSAL OF SERVICE...I credit it to our interracial ties...we're a mixed couple in the south...the old fashioned south...with a racist white manager...We should of called the news and reported it, but we called corporate instead...a jennifer somebody...who witlessly sent us a 10$ gift card-granted if we hadn't been refused service, it would of been 10$ for one drink...oh and the corporate mgr. apologized and "wrote up the mgr. in error....BIG deal! To say the least we trashed the "gift" from them and haven't set foot in another Ruby Tuesday food chain again. Being an individual that takes customer service to heart, as a former server at a rather bustling popular restaurant, I know what good service is made of, and good experiences matter! But this just wasn't a fine dining experience, it's an incident to remember! Interracial couples are NOT welcome, military personnel are NOT welcome, Ruby Tuesday customers are not important.

Of all of the boring chain restaurants in Sumter, this one is most boring. The servers couldn't care less about you and the salad bar will always disappoint.

There is only two things that i would eat off this menu. they used to have random stuff up on the walls and they got a face lift. now there are leather chairs and booths. It has an Asian/contemporary theme to it. The salad bar is still disgusting. They didn't change the prices of food or the types of food just the dishes are now white square plates instead of round. Applebees is a better choice then this.

Other than being created on the strip in Knoxville, TN I agree this restaurant sucks. It is a glorified expensive burger chain.
