To me, personally, this is almost like a Japanese Diner. Which I know sounds silly but what I mean more to point is its quick (but good) food served up without an overly Japanese ambiance. The start took just a few seconds because the menu is actually in/on the table. So nothing to pick up or hand out, you just look at the table and make a selection. For my first time, I wanted to see what it was all about so I tried the Gyoza to start, and my main course was Chicken and Steak. The Gyoza was extremely tasty. We loved it, and had it not been for my meal I most likely would have ordered more!! The chicken and steak (came with rice) wasn't too bad either, though I'd likely go just steak next time. Sadly, the chicken was a bit dry and just didn't do well for my meal. Good flavor and season, but dry chicken can get a chewy. Steak was good, not over done, and not chewy or to big in terms of pieces. The prices weren't bad either, a place that could make a quick lunch, or a simple dinner and not break the bank. I'll definitely return for another main course, and can't wait for more of their Gyoza!

Food is bland and over spiced to try and compensate. I don't think I've ever had anything that tasted even remotely authentic. Everything is drowned in sauce to cover up the horribly bland taste. Place is also extremely dirty and gross. Witnessed the cook sweat into the food he was cooking once. Friend of mine ordered chicken kebab and some spring rolls once and when she ate it the chicken was spoiled and so was the cabbage in the springroll. When she confronted the cook all he did was aplogize and say he knew of the problem. So you knew you were serving spoiled food? That's disgusting and dangerous, stay away. Then there is the simple fact that just about everything on the menu is not even japanese.

Customer service was great. I was greeted and seated right away with warm smiles. The food however was very bland and tasteless. The portions were decent for the steak bowl I got. I would not really recommend this place. It is the place to go to if you just want to get full.

Osaka has a very dirty environment, but their hibachi smelled delicious. My husband and I tried the sushi, against our better judgement, and it was not good! I know they tried, but to claim to be a sushi chef you need to actually be trained. I would not recommend based on the dirty environment and the not very impressive kitchen area.

Food and service are great.... 5 stars for both. Other chronic issues drag that down to 2 stars. Central AC was working well in spring, but is weak or off in summer - chronic annual problem for past 4-5 years. Multiple window units mounted in walls leave things noticeably warm on hot days. (Chilly in winter and stand alone plugin heaters can't keep up.) After years of the same, the central system simply needs to be fixed!!! Unfortunately school is out and the restaurant is the owner's two young kid's daycare center. It wouldn't be so bad if they had a clue about using their "inside voices" and if they'd stay out of the kitchen. No, actually they just need to be at home. Sorry this review is so much about the kids, but if you're seated near them they're impossible to ignore. But the food and service are excellent!!!

We lived in Sumter for two years before we decided to give this place a try. It looks sketchy but the food was good! My husband & I ordered a sushi roll for our starter; it came out quick and tasted fresh. Then, I had the teriyaki chicken & my husband had seafood & steak kabobs? It was the special that night. I also loved the sweet carrots that came with our meal. I was pleasantly surprised with this restaurant. The service was great too! Give this place a shot!

Zero stars. DIRTY place. Cook staff with no hair nets. Judging by the sushi in the display fridge, I'd bet you'd be gambling with your health if you ate it. Cooked dishes were just meats and veggies overdone in teriyaki and soy sauces trying to pass off as Asian food.

Well I can't say it was my first choice, but when you are hungry you'll stop just about anywhere. The interior is sub par to say the least. A juxtaposition of a dinner, someone who loves horses, and Asian flair. It's hard to explain it. The restrooms are nasty! One of those do not sit on the seat kinds. The was nothing about this place that I would recommend. I couldn't even finish my food because it was gross. I try to give places at least the benefit of the doubt, but this place was all doubt and no benefit. Please do yourself a favor and do not eat here.

Might not be the nicest looking place but food is good! The special steak, chicken and shrimp is my favorite. They have a killer homemade hot pepper sauce!
