Italian Cuisine
The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.
Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.
If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
Pizza
Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Good solid buffet. Good crust and okay sandwich. Steak was dry and they use canned mushrooms. So that is kinda blech. But their pizza is amazing! The hoagie bread is awesome.

We eat here pretty regularly. The food is great - especially the lasagna. I've been coming here for years. I love the way the smell of the food here smacks you in the face whenever you get anywhere in the parking lot and draws you in.

Stopped by here once during visit and loved the place. Great NJ style pizza place and the staff is #1 in southern charm. Food is great and the owners were very nice. Will make my first stop when back in town.

We have ate at Georgio's many many times and never received a bad meal. Hubby loves the Georgio's special and I live their spaghetti and mushroom steak and the baklava is always good!!

Good lunch buffet. Includes salad bar, pizza, Greek baked chicken, baked pasta, stuffed green peppers, and a Greek rice dish. Overall pretty good.

It takes a big man to admit he was wrong and today, I am that man. In my last review I said I wouldn't be back but we have some friends who get their pizza from here as they say it's their favorite so they bought a couple pies and brought them over and I have to say, probably the best tasting pizza we've had in Sumter. I grew up on Greek style pizza and that's exactly what they have here. It reminds me very much of the pizza I grew up on. I highly recommend the spinach and feta pizza (white, no sauce). I guess the lesson learned is to avoid the pizza/carb buffet and order a freshly made pie. The difference is remarkable. But the lasagna is still the worst I've ever had, I stand by that part of my original review...

This is a family run and owned business, which is always nice to see. I tried their gyro and my coworkers tried their buffet. The food was delicious, but the staff was very grumpy. For a family owned business it surprised me how impersonal and short the wait staff, and female owner were. Maybe I went on an off day? I would definitely try this restaurant for the home cooked food and family owned business... However don't expect happy staff.

Nice restaurant and people... Came for lunch they have a $8.79 buffet... Waitress was nice enough to bring me just meatballs out .... Lacks a lot of flavor in their dishes... Next time will probably order off their menu

Love The lasagna!!!! Salad bar is great too! Their salad dressing is so good! Huge portions! Service can be so-so but the food makes up for it.

Best pizza in Sumter, hands down. It's always fresh and delicious and the garlic bread is good too. Lunch buffet is nice but can be a little slow at times if they're really busy.

Excellent food. The pizza, lasagna and manicotti were delicious. We had a very large group including 14 kids and the service was great.

I've been here a couple times. Once for dinner and one time for lunch. I ordered the Lasagna & added the salad bar. They give you a big portion of food! My husband had the steak sub & said it was good. We came back for the lunch buffet. $8 for salad, stuffed peppers, beef tips & rice, baked spaghetti & meatballs and pizza. The food was really good! If you dine in, it's a little run down in the back. Servers are friendly. Edit: We come here all the time now! Love the lunch buffet & we often order calzones for dinner take out.
