These hotdogs were so good. The coleslaw was nice and smooth, and had a bit of a sweet flavor - just like I like it. The next time I am in Sumter I will be coming back to this place to get my hotdog, and maybe more than one - who knows. If you are in the Sumter area and looking for a good hotdog, try this place. You will not be disappointed.

1 star for the cashier. The owner was very rude as she came to me & said 'Ma'am I wanna verify your order because you have four people but it has only three hot dogs on here.' The sweet cashier had already patiently went through the order & even suggested sold me combos. She'd also taken her time to repeat the order twice. My grandson was the fourth & he doesn't eat hot dogs. Owner showed her distrust of her employee. Poor girl was so embarrassed. The dogs are Nathan but was managed to be over cooked. The chili was straight out the can. My son in law's cheese was straight Kraft sandwich cheese. Waste of time & money. My large smoothie was runny and over sweetened as well. The only hilite was the cashier. Pleasant, nice, & friendly. Poor girl.

Well, it's only a hot dog, right? The person on the counter was very friendly and somehow knew that this was my first time there. For a "hot dog" place, the menu can be a bit confusing because they have some dogs you can order with a Duncan dog or a Nathan's. I guess that means you can get a dog made w/ beef, chicken and pork, or a Nathan's all beef dog. Some of the dogs are only served with the Nathan's like their "Chicago" dog. OK, have I lost anyone so far? Being a "hot dog purist" I ordered two Chile Dogs, mustard, onions with a Nathan's and it was pretty good. I want to go back and try their Slaw Dog or Chicago Dog, but to me...there's never been a better hot dog in the world than "Frank's" in 5-Points on the corner of Harden & Greene about 1,000 years ago. That, to me, was and still is the "Gold Standard" of Hot Dogs!

It's a little spartan inside, but those Texas dogs are good for lunch. Two of them, and an orange Fanta "hit the spot".

Don't judge this book by its cover, not much to look at but the hot dogs make up for everything and then some. The Chicago dog is the best!
