Conveniently located across the street from Tomlinson's! I love shopping there. You could literally run across the road if You are good at dodging traffic :-) daughter and I ate the gyros. absolutely perfect! the Tzatziki is the best I have ever had! my daughter got extra and ate it with their fries! my sister had the Horiatiki (Greek Village Salad) and loved it. it came with wonderful pita wedges that were fresh and warm. she added some grilled chicken and although the flavor of the chicken was spot on, it was a little dry. we also tried the Avgolemono soup, I prefer a little more lemon in mine- but that is a personal preference. definitely a repeat place to eat. I did notice they do A LOT of carry out business. the place is simple decorated and clean inside. very quiet for a Saturday late lunch. I will go again! recommendation for the owners : I love "greek fries" with my gryos. simply dressed with a little oregano and lemon juice! it is a great compliment to the gyro

This place is good, but I prefer Continental Corner in terms of location and atmosphere . A stand out dish is the moussaka which is hard to find in Charleston and worth the trip alone.

A favorite for lunch! Delicious spanakopita, souvlaki, gyros, soup, and the Philly cheesesteak is my boyfriend's favorite.

A little hard to find, but well worth the search. In the shopping center next to Money Man Pawn. I am an avid gyro lover, and this one did not disappoint. Taziki sauce is outstanding. Lunch special with a large gyro and side Greek salad (great dressing) was only 7.99. I would highly recommend! Wait staff was very attentive and friendly as well!

Oh my goodness! Do not pass up this hidden gem! I have had the chicken with lemon soup, the moussaka, and sampler platter. All dishes have been amazing. The stuffed grape leaves were served hot! The pita wedges are always fresh and served warm. The prices are very reasonable and portions are generous. The wait staff were friendly and attentive. Eat here once and you will probably become a regular. I also love that they sell many Greek products by the register. Among other things you can buy and assortment of cheeses, wine, sauces, etc.

Great Greek food. Very authentic and tasty. The best Gyro I have had in Charleston. I would recommend giving this place a shot.

My wife and I always love this place. It is a hole in the wall in a bad location, but the atmosphere is wonderful as well as the service and food. Get a gyro with ziki sauce on the side, greek salad rather than potatoes, and finish it off with coffee and baklava.

You'd never know this gem is hiding in this tired old shopping center! Very friendly and efficient servers greeted us as we entered this bright, clean cafe. We took my elderly Mom to eat with us, and though it took Mom a while to decide on her dinner, the server was patient and pleasant. There is lots to choose from on the menu, including items you don't often see unless there is someone involved who really knows Greek food. Spouse declared his gyro among the best he's had. My chicken oreganata with roasted potatoes was flavorful and succulent. Stuffed grape leaves were tender and tasty. Mom's moussaka was topped with a frothy, browned bechamel, and was filled with savory eggplant, ground meat, potato and tomato. We will definitely become regulars!

Tried the hummus , gyro , Greek potatoes all need more seasoning. The hummus is just plain chickpeas and tahini. Saganaki is just microwaved cheese in a bowl not really fried. Tzatzaki was a little sweet for my liking but not bad. Baklava bland and soggy. The only saving grace for this place is the falafel. Best falafel we've ever had.

Wow, talk about a hidden gem on Dorchester! This place is as Greek as it gets. The owner greets you and all the cuisine is very authentic and delicious. The portions are also very generous. By far best Greek food in Summerville /North Charleston areas.

Ops cafe is... Okay. We had dinner here on a Friday night. We ordered the spanakopita appetizer, a gyro platter, and the moussaka. While I wouldn't say that the food was bad, it definitely wasn't as good as some other local Greek establishments. The atmosphere of the strip the cafe is in, as well as the cafe itself doesn't help with making you feel confident about the quality of the food. All in all, I'd say stop in but don't have your expectations too high.

Fantastic Gyros. The meat is flavorful and not overly cooked. The pita bread is perfectly prepared. The taziki sauce is fantastic here, and the Felafel balls are delicious. The staff is very friendly, fast, and knowledgeable. It appears like it is in the ghetto, but don't let that dissuade you from stopping in!

Awesome gyros, flavorful lamb and perfectly prepared pita. Fresh ingredients. Awesome service! Fantastic prices for the taste and portions. Looks like it's in the ghetto... Don't let that dissuade you from eating here!

Love this restaurant! I use them for catering often. Food is consistently delicious, always enough for everyone & delivery is always on time. Must try for Greek in Summerville!

This place is a hidden gem! The gyros are fantastic. The tzatziki is slightly sweeter than most, but oh so fresh; the perfect compliment to the savory meat and soft, chewy pita. The menu features some appetizers that I could make a meal of alone. Overall, best Greek food around.

Oh my gosh this is a really good restaurant. I have been driving past it and have always wanted to stop never did. I have had an overwhelming urge for gyro and finally stopped today for one. It was moist and soft and delicious. Lots of sauce :) staff was warm and welcoming and food came out quick and hot. We will be back for more!!!

Sayyyyyy yess for the Gyro. When I visit this place, the only thing on my mind is tasting that delicious lamb on my pallet. The Gryo with the Greek Salad is fantastic. It's the only thing I order. I am sure that everything else on their menu is superb, but the Gyro calls my name every time. I took my dad to this restaurant. i was attempting to give him some cultural experience. He's never had Greek but he loves the Chinese buffet or any American buffet. He did not walk away disappointed, he really enjoyed the Gyro. Any restaurant that can please my dad is a good one.

I can only award 4 stars as I've never dined in...only ordered take out. But man, is it good! I'm actually ordering a souvlaki for lunch today :) Whenever I've ordered take out, my meal is ready for pick up within 10 minutes. The lunch specials are great, they even include a drink...and for those watching your waistline, you can get them with or without fries ;)

Another place I have been meaning to update my review for - when I saw coupons for Opa in a cafe, I got the major greek food cravings and decided to order, because even if it did suck, It's been so long since I had greek and I was so famished, I would not have cared. I did a whole greek take-out feast - since greek food is one of those things you can eat tons of without bloating, low in carbs or something. So I went home with a giant greek salad, spanakopita (spinach pie), dolmas, extra taztziki, gerad's stuffed baked tomatoes, extra rice, souvlaki and greek meatballs for the mom, and gelaktobouriko (yummy crusty custard dessert)... A+ for deliciously seasoned tzatziki, feta stuffed tomaotes, awesome herbed grapeleaves, and spanakopita I haven't had so good since eating at a greek granny's house. I had to go back to make sure it didn't just taste good that one time, second time was as good. Now I have a greek place - YESSSSS!!!! It's greek-"american" but that didn't make the greek any less greek and it means you can bring your picky eating high maintenance friends/family members here with ease.

The only bad thing about this place is the run down shopping center location. Don't judge by that! Service was wonderful as was the food. I had the gyro and Greek salad, both delicious. I'm excited to go back and try other things on the menu.

Having lived in Queens NY and having significant exposure to the great Greek eateries in Astoria, Opa is by far is my favorite in the greater Charleston area. I tend to find myself going there for lunch more than during dinner hours, which is a trend that I intend on reversing. The Gyros are excellent, Greek salad and Greek potatoes are as well as the Souvlaki are all perfectly prepared, just like Uncle George's-one of the most famous of Greek eateries in Astoria. I ordered the Greek-seasoned rib eye for my one and only dinner at Opa, it cost a mere $15 and was fantastic. Opa Cafe is a very well priced Greek cuisine restaurant, no frills-Great Food!

My wife and I have gone here twice now and both experiences were decent. Since moving from Seattle last year, we have been on a constant quest for a decent Gyro and this place delivered half of the experience. The Tzatziki sauce was perfect - creamy, flavorful, and just the right amount added. The mean, on the other hand, was just okay. There wasn't much flavor to it and rather than being crispy it was sliced thin into really small pieces like a deli meat. There is another Greek restaurant in downtown Summerville that has the perfect meat ( yelp.com/biz/continental… ). We said if we could combine the meat from there and the Tzatziki sauce from here, we'd have a great Gyro. We'll have to try that sometime...

Greek food is a fine melody of the finest pressed olive oil, fresh fermented bread, colorful vegetables, juicy meat, sea food all cooked in spices and fresh rosemary. The people from Greek were great scholars who aimed to excel in everything they do. The results are quite visible in their food as they are the inventors of olive oil which is beneficial to health. Greeks also made different type of wines from the best quality of grapes fermented in controlled environment.
Today, you can find hundreds of restaurants offering authentic Greek food or popularly termed as Mediterranean cuisine in New York city alone. People wait in line to taste the exotic Greek dishes like saganaki, taramasalata, souvlaki, loukoumades, spanakopita, moussaka, and many more. One thing which most people like about these authentic Greek dishes is abundant use of lemon juice, olive oil, fresh rosemary and sea salt. A smart mix of few ingredients can virtually take you on the pebble streets of beautiful city of Greece.
For those who don't have time to enjoy fine dining should try tasting the famous souvlaki with pita which is type of meat dish, also a trademark Greek fast food. For those who are vegetarian, or vegan can try different versions of Greek Salad. So, if you wish to enjoy a hearty yet healthy meal that tastes divine then try dining at the best Greek restaurant in your city. Greek cuisine not only tastes good but also help maintain your body in a natural way through healthy diet.
