Sorry EVO lovers, this place blows EVO away IMO. For me, EVO is waaaaaaay overpriced for what you get and over rated. When I eat some where, I don't want to spend a ton of money and still be hungry when I leave. I guess I am old fashioned. Here are the reasons why NYPD pizza is better than EVO. #1 You can get an 18" pizza with lots of toppings for $18 (the most expensive and the basic cheese is $13) vs EVO's $13 for a 10". #2 You can feed 3 people for just over $20 w/ appetizer vs EVO feeding 2 people for well over $20 w/ appetizer. #3 The crust is full of flavor and adds to the taste of the pizza vs EVO's crust is just ok. My new favorite pizza place.

The Gluten Free crust is 14" which is rare. The crust is really good too! The toppings were excellent. Watching them make it was fun too. Authentic throwing, spinning, stretching and cooked in a rotating oven. Yum!!!

They have awesome pizza and sandwiches. I have had multiple items the chicken club sandwich is terrific ( I like mine with a little honey mustard). And their gluten free crust is the best I have had! Totally recommend over any other local pizza joint!

I have been to NYC and I can tell you this place is as good or even better then the best NYC has to offer.. Thin crispy crust with some chew. Fresh sauce with lively flavor. Authentic in every way! The waitress is friendly and talkative. The kids can watch up close the dough spinning and toppings being applied. You have to visit this place.

Went back for a second visit....got the same 14 Margherita pizza that we got before. It was completely different in taste from our previous visit, but still good. I guess the recipe varies according to the employees on duty. It was ready exactly on time and the people at the counter were friendly. No complaints at all.

This pizza is amazing! We have never been disappointed with anything we've gotten from here. We live in Goose Creek and will drive to pick up this pizza rather than have any delivered. The Garlic Knots are the best thing we get them every time. Definitely worth going too and not terribly priced.

Good place to eat but like the other reviewer commented, it's in an odd place so tucked away and hard to spot. They could use some bigger and better signage. My family and I just moved from CT so we were looking for some good ol' NY style pizza and this place came fairly close. Crust could have used some more salt but was still very good overall. The sauce wasn't bad but maybe a bit more on the pizza and the cheese was fine with me. Our waiter was excellent! She was very kind and attentive. I'd put her name up in case you go but don't know if she would want me to. We all had a laugh went we saw they had zeppoles on the menu since they were described as "fried dough with powdered sugar" A zeppole of course is an Italian pastry that is a quick-fried and airy dough cut inhalf (bagel style) and filled with a sweet ricotta cream. So nice try NYPD but not really. I'd go again!

Excellent pizza, and so glad to see it come to Summerville (other location is North Mt. Pleasant). Obviously it's NY-style (please Chicago-style, crack into the Charleston market!) and it ranks well. I'd put it on even par with the famed Andolinis which I frequented at least 20 times in Mt. P. Fortunately this is about 30 miles closer... Nice selection of different kinds and toppings, quality ingredients and liberal with the basil, brick oven adds a nice flavor. Staff is friendly and fun, has a nice atmosphere (plus booze) if you want to eat in. Location is a little funky in that you can't see it well. That shopping center is in a great location though so hopefully it will stick. S'ville needs more good food like this. Pricing is on the higher side of pizza, but it's worth it. How many times can you eat the same 'ol chain pizza, anyway? Yes, even if that chain is Papa Johns.

If you like meat and pizza, and if you like meat on your pizza, you are in luck, they do it right. Kids pizza is enough for 2-3 meals. Very friendly wait staff, they also participate with Restaurants.com
