Mexican Cuisine
If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.
Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.
Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.

I was always hesitant to go eat there. Because I loved Chipotle. I took my family of 5 on a Monday night and they had a special. It was a great price, my kids loved the soda machine. I liked that I could pick all my own extras on the side bar. I have been back 2 times since and will continue to. They always have specials!

The burritos have no flavor. You can tell it's warmed up out of a bad. There is no seasoning on anything and the salsa is bland. I tried a new place by Lowe's that does burritos called southwest fire. It is locally owned and they cook fresh daily. They also season their food and has a great taste.

Not nearly as good or flavorful as Chipotle but the service was excellent and the ingredients were fresh. I wish they would expand their menu selections for proteins a bit and add some spice to their proteins as well. But overall if you have no access to a Chipotle this is a great alternative.

I like moe's a lot because it has the ever elusive option of HARD SHELL TACOS! And make it a vegetarian hard shell taco, with black beans another hard to find in mexican dining that gets me so excited when I see one on a menu, as it used to just be an occasional once a year taco-night treat and I'm sooo sick of pasty refried beans. Moe's gives you options. You can add any toppings, they won't charge you extra like other taco places so often do if you want something unique on your taco. I like mine with pico de gallo, cheese, black olives, cilantro, guac, sour cream, and jalepenos. All the items are fresh. The people I know who eat meat however hate this place they say the meat is bad, really, what a pity. They only thing I don't like about moes is the half-hearted and deafening "WELCOME TO MOE'S!!!!" which actually feels very unwelcoming. And if you dine in expect to hear that every 10 seconds.

Mediocre food, friendly staff. The food is edible, but nothing to get excited about. They could learn a few things from Chipotle or Qdoba about putting a burrito together. The staff was super friendly and very helpful.

This may earn me some scorn, but I like Moe's. I don't care if it's a chain joint or if the dining experience can be loud. Food is good, cheap, and you get a lot. Thus the 4 stars - don't go expecting culinary masterpieces because it's like a sit-down Southwestern subway... with beer. Homemade salsas are very good, and the steak marinade is good. Staff is bubbly wherever you go (It's a corporate thing, but like with Chick-fil-A, it became contagious and actually works) Music is pretty good, too. An eclectic mix of music I'd have in my CD player. I actually even heard some swearing in the music which doesn't make it cool, but does give you a little insight into the corporate culture and how it probably works into the rest of what they do - fun.

Taylor and the crew do a great job of getting you your order quickly while loading you up with great ingredients and lots of chips for the salsa bar. Great value!

Doesnt compare to Chipotle, but it will due until I can get to one.

Going to moes for years and yes it was delish but the staff was uninviting.. No one person got a welcome to moes.. And restaurant was really dirty.. Not the moes standards were use to

They were under staffed and took forever. They also made my order incorrectly because they were socializing. I love Moe's but this trip was quite aggravating.

I won't comment on how much I wish this location were larger, because they are currently in the process of moving across the plaza (to the brand new strip adjacent Newk's), and it looks to be much roomier! Yay! This will also help with the dated look. I personally love this place! It's basically a burrito bar and you can get what you want almost any way imaginable. For some like myself who likes food on the plainer side, Moes is perfect because I can top to bottom build my own burrito and choose each and every item that goes in it. And the biggest plus for me? The base ingredient (ie the ground beef) aren't spicy! I cannot do spicy and so many places will have even the basics being too spicy for me to eat. Not here, thank goodness! You also have a pretty decent variety of choices...from burritos to tacos to quesadillas to naked bowls and salads. Chips and salsa are free and they have a salsa bar that is a force to be reckoned with. The burrito size is pretty monstrous, so do keep in mind that they have a junior burrito size options. It falls someone between the regular giant one and the kids size (the Mr Moo Cow). They also have the soda machines that let you mix and match from a gazillion soda choices and flavors! We like to watch for special deal nights, like Moes Mondays or kids nights (kids free per adult purchase...amazing when you have 3 kids!). Speaking of kids-they have several tv's that they more often than not have turned to cartoons. Incredibly handy when herding small, easily distracted little people. Catering is also available, and I can tell you from experience that they are amazing and will truly go above and beyond to ensure that your experience is wonderful and memorable...and ours definitely was! Can't really go wrong as far as solid "fast food" options go!

Again, echoing from my review of the Mt. Pleasant location...The 3.5 star rating for Moe's is about right. It's a good burrito-not great, but solid. They have some sketchier locations that often end up in not the nicest dining experience, but definitely not bad. I've never had a burrito from Moe's that I didn't like. It just wasn't fantastic either. Other burrito joints are better, but you do pay more. Moe's is on-board with app ordering, so that makes ordering on the go easier if you are in a hurry. Moe's is also the only fast-food-burrito/Mex place that gives you free chips and a salsa bar too. I like my chips and salsa enough to debatably be a chips and salsa junkie. Go in on Mondays for "Moe's Monday" for a $6/$7 burrito, chips and drink! This location is right in the middle of Azalea Square with all of the new thingies being built and added to. It's a busy location so get there early-ESPECIALLY if you plan on going for kid's night! As for bonus points, I once had this Moe's cater my kid's birthday party, and not being from here, and not being in school yet, he didn't have a huge guest list. I just had the caterer supply enough for around 20 people, and he said that if you don't order for a certain amount it just kind of looks like there isn't much there and he gave us much more food than we signed up for just so the containers of food "looked better". Thanks guys! This is good business! That guy has always been friendly and helpful every time we have been. (I'd still steal an entire salsa bar (stocked of course) if given the chance....)

The new location is way bigger than the last. The service is always terrific. And the wrong Doug is the greatest invention known to man

This place is a disgrace compared to Chipotle or Qdoba. The ingredients are horrible. Doesn't taste as fresh as the other restaurants I've mentioned. And thr servers pick up all the ingredients with their gloves and mix things into the other containers. What if someone was allergic to an item that got into another container? I don't suggest Moe's. It's over priced and just sub-par.

So for food and such I'd say 3.5 stars. Not my favorite tex mex style food but it's pretty good and usually very fresh ingredients. That queso of theirs is pretty jammin' too. But, this location is getting 5 stars because of some amazing customer service I experienced a few months ago with them. So, we called ahead an order that we were going to go pick up. Well, when getting into the car to go we managed to lock ourselves out of our house. So I called back to tell them the situation and that I wanted to push back the time a little bit, no problem they said. A few minutes later I get a call from them from their manager who heard the situation offering to deliver it to us! I told him he didn't need to and I was actually on my way then. I got there and the order had already been made, the manager I spoke to on the phone noticed it had been sitting for awhile and had the order remade really quickly so it was fresh and hot. Stuff like that is what customer service is about. Above and beyond.
