The service is ok..... But the food is totally worth it! And the bar service is excellent! Thanks Brad for serving us!

An hour to be seated, slow service, six different servers who apparently didn't talk to each other. I ordered cajon shrimp pizza. There was one shrimp and one piece of sausage per slice. I rearranged the toppings and ended up with two slices of pizza and four slices of garlic bread. I do not plan to go back.

Waited the standard 45 mins for a seat (turns out call ahead seating is too mainstream for such a company). The girlfriend and I were finally seated at a table. At this point we pretty much stared at every waiter/waitress that walked by and lo and behold noone noticed. It took a waitress who wasn't even our waitress over 25 minutes to notice we haven't even had our drinks ordered yet. At this point I'm not even faintly happy about going here. We ordered our drinks and appetizers. To the waiting staff there gaelic ale sounds exactly like killians irish red, so that's exactly what was sent to the table. We finally were able to order our food. she offers the red skin potatoes pizza and I ordered the maui wowie. How does our pizza take 3 times longer to make and serve than anyone else? The waitress kept swinging by apologizing and apologizing to try and save her face. But seriously, I watched a couple who got to the restaurant 20 minutes after us get their pizzas before us. And to top it off, they messed up the girlfriends pizza so mine came out with an apology before hers came out. The pizzas were good but the service was the worst I have ever had. If it wasn't for the fact that gf really wanted to try this place I would of left after the first hour I was there twiddling my thumbs. I am never going back to this place.

My husband and I try to dine at a different Mellow Mushroom whenever we're visiting out of town. The one is Summerville didn't disappoint...we loved it. The staff was welcoming, the food was delicious, the service was great (our server was Danielle and she was so sweet) and the decor was so unique. I think this one might be my favorite as far as design goes...it sort of doesn't have the usual mushroom theme that we're used to and also love, but has more of a "foresty" kind of theme, complete with a cleverly designed metal tree with lighted embellishments, and some really sweet painted creatures, plus the outdoor area is also painted with a forest theme. We dined indoors near the tree, but I can imagine that dining on the patio must evoke a feeling of dining in the forest...so dramatic and beautiful! We had a great meal at this Mellow and will definitely plan on stopping back the next time we get to Summerville. When you get done eating, there is some shopping nearby and we really enjoyed touring through the historic district just a few minutes up the road. What a great experience! If you're anywhere near Summerville, make sure to check out this Mellow Mushroom...you will love it! :)

Atmosphere is great but can't comment on the food yet...I've been waiting an hour since placing my order and it's still not here yet. They might have some new-opening kinks to work out...

Stopped here today with a friend for lunch. We were seated immediately at a table/booth hybrid near the bar. I ordered half funky q chicken and half red skin pie. My friend ordered half holy shiitake and half funky q chicken. Our server warned us that because the pizzas were freshly made it would take a little longer, around 25 minutes. Sure enough 25 minutes later our pizzas came out and were made correctly. The person who brought out our pizzas didn't bring either of us a serving utensil so it made it a little awkward to get the pizza from the pan to our plates. Both of us were happy with our pizzas. The service was good. Our server asked us several times if we were satisfied or needed anything. When we left around 1PM there was a significant wait to get a table. Give it a try.

This place is busy expect to wait. The pizza was really good, the sides were not as great as other places. The pizza dough is by far the best though. The service is above and beyond. We went there during charleston restaurant week, the bus boy was doing the thriller dance when thriller came on ( music was playing out side). He was actually a good dancer we thought it was planned, and expected other workers to come out and dance but sadly they didn't. We asked him about it, he was very sarcastic and extremely funny, them he proceeded to tell us jokes and had my table laughing (I almost choked on my food that's how funny), this kid couldn't have been out of high school but he's got a promising career in showbiz.

First time there is the last time there. Sat at the bar and asked for a bud light draft. Was told they feature "better" craft beers on draft. After telling him bud light is the number one selling beer in America, we were given a lecture on what cheap grains they use and we might as well order a pbr. Didn't stay because of the bartenders bad attitude. What a first and last impression.

I love it here. My husband and I go pretty regularly. Everyone who works here is great and friendly and well educated about the menu and drinks/beers. It's a lovely atmosphere, relaxed and comfortable. Theres a big beautiful tree sculpture in the middle of the restaurant that's fun to look at. The food is consistently good tho sometimes I wish there was just a little more variety but it is a pizza place, so pizza and pizza like products is what you get. The beer selection is great. They always have new beers on tap and wait staff and bartenders always have good info to help you decide which one to try. You can taste test them too which is nice. It does get busy around typical dinner time but it's worth the wait. If you go little earlier or a little later, you should have no trouble getting a table. Also, the bar Friday and Saturday nights is awesome. I'm not into that super busy, loud bar scene so this place is great. It's calm but fun and you always get great service and the bartenders are awesome. I highly recommend Mellow Mushroom Summerville!

Just ate there today for lunch. First time visitor in a group of 3. They started with a complementary "Meatball trio" appetizer. Then I ordered a small (10 inch) pizza half mellowterainean half white. It was extremely good and I will definitely be going back. Ever thy one at the table enjoyed their food.

Went there this past Saturday afternoon and it was packed. Quoted 25 minutes and was seated in that time. The Food was great (the Blue Bayou and the Buffalo Chicken Pizzas-great crust)! Service needs some attention. Server did not know draft beer list. My beer was delivered well before the server even came back to the table when I could remind her about our other drinks(water and soda). Refills were non existant. She was helpful with boxes and very friendly, but no sense of urgency. Atmosphere is fun and I will try again. Just need to tighten up the service.

Despite being a semi-chain restaurant, the staff makes this places feel like a small town local joint and successful. Very popular place and the crowds do come...and wait for a seat! Server was knowledgeable and was willing to make adjustments to our selections without hesitation. OH, and the portions...just count all the people leaving with boxes of leftovers! :) I'll be back!

Our group of four visited the Summerville location for pizza following a movie outing. Rainy weather had most people opting for inside seating and there was a bit of a wait. As a first available seating, we were in a sports bar area that was too noise for our comfort. The server was distracted but pleasant. Unanimous feedback that the Mighty Meaty pizza was great and we left with a definite come back plan.

Love this place. The food is always great and delivered to us in a timely manner. I always chose to sit at the bar as there is less of a wait time and drinks are just easier that way. My favorite thing on the menu are the meatballs, they're amazing! Even though they're an appetizer, it's enough food for a full meal.

Try a beer cheese base on a mighty meaty or a spinach artichoke dip base on a mellowterranean.... Be sure to sit at the bar (if you can) and have one of their delectable craft beers. The staff is great, the food is wonderful, and the beer is a good enough reason to go by itself.

Great pizzas and more. The artichoke dip is amazing and the meatball sandwich was a good choice too. Great atmosphere with TVs and a sports bar feel. Open kitchen and the young energetic staff makes the experience fun. I know its a chain and they are basically the same at the 5 or so locations ive tried but thats not a bad thing or criticism. Love the shroom

I thought the food was excellent, pizza is different but good and I was pretty impressed with the beer menu. Service however definitely lacked. Servers were slow, we had dirty plates brought out twice on separate occasions and we waited over 10 minutes for the new plates so little things like that but not a bad experience.

It's 4:50pm on a Saturday. You'd think service would be pretty good at this time considering there were maybe 10 other tables and plenty of staff. But after our server got us drinks and disappeared for 20 minutes we walked out. Saw no one else getting waited on. We've been several times before and while the food is usually decent, the service usually is not. Hope management gets it together. Do they even have a manager?

Mellow Mushroom, although a chain, is a really solid pizza place. The new Summerville location is really pretty cool, although I don't know how I feel about the really strange LED tree in the restaurant. It's kinda cool, but also weird and seems to take up a lot of space. I think some architect got carried away with this one. Anyway, their pizzas are pretty good. The veggie pizza is probably one of the better ones I've ever had. This isn't the kind of place you come and order a plain cheese pizza. With all the different toppings and cool names like Magical Mystery Tour or Holy Shiitake Pie, its worth splurging for some yummy fresh toppings. One of the best things I like about MM pizza is the crust. It is hard to explain, but they must mix some whole wheat or something in it because it is really good and hearty. Not bland like a lot of other pizzerias. They also have a fantastic covered outdoor patio with a lot of seating. It is a great place to dine al fresco. Since this is a new restaurant and Summerville has been kind of sheltered from cool places like this for a long time, MM is pretty packed and the wait is long on weekends and some weekday evening. If you find that you don't want to wait an hour, head over to Smashburger behind MM. It's our go to second choice when our tummies just can't wait.

I have been to Mellow Mushroom in several cities, and it is one of my favorite restaurants. I have had pizza to go from this Mellow Mushroom, but this was my first experience dining in. What a treat! I came with three friends, two who had never been before! We were instantly impressed with the decor. It's a mix of old and new-very funky. I especially like that it's bright and open, yet cozy. The pizza was absolutely delicious. We had the white pizza and the red potato pizza. The red potato pizza was like a loaded baked potato on pizza dough. I would never have imagined this combo, but it was amazing! We also enjoyed the Greek salad with the Esperanza dressing. This is my favorite salad hands down and my friends really liked it too! The highlight of the evening was our server! He entertained us with jokes, and his quick wit. He was prompt with our drink and food orders, and he seemed to know when we were ready for another drink or were finishing up. His service was just right--he didn't rush us, but he also didn't leave is waiting. This Mellow definitely lived up to my expectations of Mellow Mushroom and I will return!

I love the atmosphere in here, from the art on the wall with majestic animal creatures to the metal tree sculpture with changing lights.. It's brilliant! This place looks perfect for watching a sporting event with a bar inside and tvs over the kitchen. They even have an outside deck equip with seating speakers, fans and heaters. The food is excellent I had the cheesy bread for appetizer and the Maui Wowie pizza- it was packed full of flavor the crust was firm but fluffy. Delicious! Great service at the bar! Was able to catch the Tigers play the Yankees on one of their many tvs. Food was delicious! Started with the capri and pretzels. My dad and I split the medium shiitake pizza (took half the pizza home because it was filling). It was amazing! My mom and grandma split the meatball sandwich and loved it. My uncle enjoyed the veggie hoagie. I only wished they had a location in Detroit but we will be back for sure!!

Although not my favorite pizza in the Charleston area, this is good. We tried the roasted red potato pizza, the buffalo chicken, a turkey bacon pizza, and some kids French bread pepperoni. The buffalo chicken pizza and the roasted potato were fantastic. Loved both. The drink menu is eclectic and pretty large. They have a significant beer list and the cocktail list looks slight, but promising. With that said, this is without a doubt my favorite location in the Charleston area. Very modern artistic and the staff were great. I will absolutely return (on non rush hours)!

First time to hit the Summerville location since I did two others in the area to says never again. Love being wrong and love enjoying a meaty pie worth a $20 tip to boot. The only bad thing was only four slices to go home with me and the wife had something else. No ham or bacon, thats not pizza to me, light on the sauce and not to forget the service from a Lady that most likely made it happen. I waisted not time to announce that I would return nothing less than the BEST. And it was served to hit the spot and finally after ?how many??? tries to get a decent pie from others. They hit a home run and thats why I am here. She finally got a slice for a snack at the end of her day because the other three were enjoyed for my lunch today. I should have taken a picture, but if its going to happen again, then I'll take the picture of the next one. The place was nice on the eyes too. Just had to touch the giant sun flower out side and the tree inside was cool. We did opt to try eating outside because it was Sunday night and the traffic was low and it was after 9PM. Yes I was surprised but me Wife was full of Joy to not have to listen to disappointment on the way home. Yes she too loved that thing they call a Calzone, full of spinach, mushrooms, cheese and what ever.

Usually trek all the way to The West Ashley location. Looks like I'll continue to do so. I got the Small redskin potato pizza and my sister got the toasted ham and cheese hoagie. My pizza was so greasy you would have thought I ordered a meat pizza. The crust was soggy from the grease and it was pooled under the pizza. I ate 1.5 slices of a 10" pizza and gave up. It was just too greasy to enjoy. My sisters hoagie looked toasted but the ham was cold and looked like it was pulled off someone's salad. The cheese looked like it was melted but that was cold too. She peeled it right off the sandwich in one piece. The staff didn't seem to care at all. This is my second visit. The first was right after they opened. We both got sandwiches that time and they were not good then either. Save your money and don't bother with this location. Go to West Ashley if you want Mellow Mushroom.

The food we had (wings and pizza) was absolutely fantastic. Unfortunately the service was not so this visit I'm giving an average rating. Our waiter (and the other male waiters I saw) seemed like a complete burn out - very forgetful, slow, and overly casual despite a very manageable crowd. His poor service marred an otherwise great meal.

We were a party of 5 on a busy Saturday evening. We still felt very well taken care of by our server and any other staff who helped us. Great service, friendly and personable. Orders were all received with no issues. Food was tasty and fresh. They have a new gluten free pizza crust that is far better in taste and texture than the original one. Our son tried the Cali burger and liked it, though he thought the bun was too sweet. Overall a great experience. We will return!

I'm a pizza lover. The pizza here was good but it is vastly different than typical pizza. If you're looking for pizza like you've always had, Mellow Mushroom isn't the pizza for you. Friendly service. The pizza took a very long time to arrive. I'd recommend this place. Just be prepared to be there for a session.

Never disappoints! This is the first time I have been to this location- but am a huge fan of Mellow Mushroom The decor is so cool. A big tree and branches are spread out through restaurant They have owls, a sly fix and a cute white pic of a dog on the wall . We ordered meatball bake for appetizer It was good. - not as moist as my Italian Husbands meatballs. But we're nice presented Pizza was great! We had pepperoni mushroom onion ! Will come back next time we are up this way!

Fun place to go with friends or family. Every time I eat here the appetizers, especially, are addicting (my faves being the spinach artichoke dip and the cheesy muffeletta bread), and they have so many customizable options for salads, pizza, and hoagies. Also they have a gluten free menu with gluten free pizza!! The gluten free pizza crust is a thin crispy crust, different than the regular pizza crust. I samples the gluten free pizzas as I have gluten free family. Plain cheese is not like regular cheese at all but my aunt had been gluten free for 7 years and it was her first time eating pizza since then, so our tastes are totally different. She thought the GF cheese pizza was amazing. My cousin's gluten free pizza had all kinds of toppings (see picture above) and I much preferred it to the plain cheese. No gluten free dessert options yet, but they are working on that. Another cool thing about mellow is that they source their desserts and coffee locally. Charleston Coffee Roasters creates the mellow blend, so it's an absolute sin to pass up on the post dinner coffee.

If you've been to a MM, you know what to expect. Except, this one is cooler than any I've ever been in before, great design. Food is as good as any other one I've been to. Since it's the first place of it's kind for the North Area (native for upper North Charleston, Goose Creek, and Summerville area), it gets crowded very early and often. Not uncommon for wait times to be over an hour at 5:30.

I was excited to visit MM's newest location in the Charleston area. I'm recently vegan so of course I had to research their menu online before I went. I was super excited to see that they offered vegan cheese at no additional charge! Holy Daiya!! And to make my crust vegan friendly I omitted the butter and the Parmesan cheese on a Super Veggie pizza. Delicious to say the least! My sister and I went on Friday night so we were expecting it to be busy which it was. So we were left with the patio seating. Ambiance is nice on the patio but be very cautious if its raining. Seating on the perimeter of the patio is prone to a good soaking if it's windy & raining so try to sit closer to the wall. It's covered though and they do have a flat screen, ceiling fans and a fireplace so it's good for all seasons. Service was great, especially with the fact that my pizza was quasi-custom. My server actually gave us hugs before we left. (Must have been the tip, lol). Only in the south, but I love it!

The pizza is very very good and so are the baked wings. The price for such good pizza is great. If the food wasn't so good, my husband and I wouldn't come. Every time I've been here the experience is the same. - walk in and a crowd of loud, obnoxious, unkept and unprofessional looking teenagers (A.K.A hostesses) in their ripped jeans and dirty Mellow Mushroom t shirts will manage to pause their conversations to tell you about the 20 minute wait that ALWAYS turns into 35-40 minutes It's very loud and service is sloooooow. I have no clue why any manager would hire such dirty and rough looking people with obviously NO restaurant experience at all. I've had to remind my waitress of food she never brought out and ALWAYS end up sucking on ice and sharing my water with my husband since you never see the waiter until she decides to drop off the check. Ok place for lunch when I'm not expecting much....

This review is heavily influenced by the amount of downtime and waiting time experienced. If things improve after awhile, then I will consider coming back to update this rating. My family of 3 has been wanting to go to Mellow Mushroom for a few weeks but the long wait and people visibly standing in the lobby waiting has deterred us until tonight. We told ourselves we are going and we will wait as long as needed. We arrived to a packed parking lot, had to drive around for 5 minutes to find a spot to park. The greeter opened the door and welcomed us into a packed lobby of people waiting. The wait was 25 minutes according to the staff at the front. We slipped past them a bit and took a seat on a bench that another family has just vacated. There was a couple TVs with Sports Center on, so the wait was bearable... it was AT LEAST the 25 minutes they estimated on our arrival. *There was the option of eating outside with no wait, but it was 49 degrees outside and so that was not a realistic option for us. We were seated at a table by the window (the table top was wobbling left and right about 3-4 inches and turned out to be annoying when trying to cut food). The worst part of this seating area was it was underneath a ceiling air conditioner vent. The COOLING was blasting out, it made our entire experience miserable to be honest. It was cold outside and it was colder at our table inside. I asked the waitress to have the manager turn off the AC since it was obvious people were cold inside (many still wearing their coats). She said she spoke to the manager but the AC never shut off our entire visit. We ordered and the food came out hot and within a respectable amount of time. My drink was never refilled, although my glass sat empty for a good 15 minutes. The AC vent was blasting so much cold air down on us that is made my pizza chilly by the time I finished my first slice. I was ready to leave at that point, but we were unable to leave. I waited for our waitress to ask for our ticket and boxes to go. I saw her about 10 minutes after we were ready to leave, she walked past us to a large corner table and collected about 8 tickets from the ladies that had packed that section. We had to wait until our waitress processed all of their tickets before she ever came to check on us. The manager could have stepped in and helped out with our section. No manager ever came around to ask if our food was good, or how the service was... I was waiting for it, so I could tell them how dissatisfied I was at the coldness of the AC blasting on us, how we had been waiting for over 10 minutes to check out and that I was never asked if I would like a refill on my drink. Once we got our ticket, the total was $65 for 2 pizzas, a kids pizza and a stuffed mushroom appetizer and 2 diet cokes. The taste of the Pizza was nothing special at all. It tasted like Pizza Hut to be honest. The authentic Italian Bistro in the Bilo plaza in Sangaree offers a better tasting Pizza and at half the price. Overall, our experience was poorer than expected, even with the waiting. #1. The wait is too long for what you get in the end. #2. The temperature is not comfortable. #3. The food is too expensive for what it is. #4. There are too many customers for the staff to handle promptly, so quality suffers. #5. The management was not very interested in the customer experience.

Ordered pretzels for take out. Was denied military discount by the manager (as were the two active duty servicemen behind me). Was told by the cashier that we could get a discount, but the manager had to enter a code. Cashier came back and said manager told her discounts were for dine in only, not take out. Even after speaking to the manager, she stated that it was a new policy...boo. Took 50 mins for our order (they were appetizer items!!), which was supposed to take 30-35. We won't be back.

Let me start by saying that I love Mellow Mushroom and the food but the service I received from the hostesses and Manager is down right wrong on 9/20/2014. My son decided that he wanted his 12th birthday dinner here and there would be about 20 of us. I know that a large party is an issue so I went in 9/5 two weeks prior to 9/20 and asked what was the best suggestion was for a large party to get seated at a decent time and where we would be seated. I was shown two areas.A large table by the bar and outside. I was fine with either place. I clearly said that my party wants to be sitting all together. Hostess told me to come in an hour early and wait. 9/20 arrives. I show up at 5:20PM. I walk in and talk to the same hostess that I talked to on 9/5. I tell her I need a table for 18 and that my party will be arriving a 6:30PM. I tell her that I am fine with sitting outside because the weather is ok and I know it is easier to put larger parties out there or the table by the bar whichever is fine with me. I clearly say this. She remembers me coming and talking to her. I sit and wait. 6:20 I am told I am sitting inside and getting seated soon so I assume it is by the bar area. 6:30 rolls around and everyone has arrived in my party. I am seeing that we are not being seated at the bar table but at a big round table and a another table adjacent to that. Not happy at this point. Told the hostess that was not going to work and we want to sit all together. Then talked to a manager and explained all of this. She was not aware of any of this and was asked to wait some more to fix the problem. Was told our bill would be discounted and we will be compensated. We ended up sitting outside at 7:15PM. There was two orders of cheese bread waiting then we got to the table which was thankful because the kids were all hungry. Drinks and food ordered. Sever is great. We do presents while we wait on the food. Food starts to arrive and my pizza is missing. Was not cooked. Not a big deal because I was just happy that everyone else got their food. My pizza came out 15 minutes later. Clearly saying that the food was great. We did cake and bill comes. So we look over it and $3.12 is taken off our bill. That's is our compensation. Boyfriend goes and talked to same manager (her manager told her to 25% off) and asked to speak to her manager. I am figuring she took 25% off one pizza. Was told he was too busy to talk to us but she could go talk to him. Boyfriend said forget it and wished her a good night and suggested that they work on communication with their staff. We paid and left.

How can you not love Mellow Mushroom? They are the Cadillac of pizza chain restaurants. The Summerville location is large and spacious. The service is typical of Mellow Mushroom-friendly and casual, the pizza is amazing, and the prices are reasonable. I am writing this review 2 days after their grand opening, so they are amazingly busy. If you are not here by 11:30am, be prepared to wait a loooooonnnng time for a table. As well they have a few timing kinks to hammer out, but I cannot imagine this location not excelling as Summerville's newest, most favorite place for pizza!

We've given this place a few more tries and it appears that they have worked out many of their kinks. With the exception of one time when the pizza was burnt (they offered us a gift card for future use), our pizzas and calzones have been very good. The dough is unique and delicious. Prices are still too high and salads- if you build your own- are still crazy overpriced, but all in all, a nice addition to the pizza scene in Summerville.

I have been to this restaurant 5 times for eating in and one time for carry out. The service was very good. The food was great. The wait time was not bad. Haven't found a place that makes calzones as good as this place. Keep up the good work!

Food was good. I split a 10'' pizza for lunch (the house special). Our server did the basics but had zero personality and moved in a snail-like manner. The other servers seemed friendly and energetic, so maybe ours was having a bad day. The atmosphere was amaze balls (now an actual word). I can't wait to go back and watch some soccer while sipping some brews.

Based on the other reviews I was very skeptical of this place. I drive past it pretty regularly and it seems like there are always people waiting outside. I've been to the downtown location a few times, which is usually good, so we decided to finally give this (much closer) location a try. We got to sit outside, and despite being told a 30 minute wait on a Friday night, we were buzzed in about ten minutes, so that was great. We were seated outside and greeted by Kaitlin, who was an awesome server. She brought us our drinks promptly, gave us time to look over the menu and seemed to know when we were ready. We just ordered a large pizza to split, with the idea of having some leftovers. While the pizza was baking, I never had to ask for a refill, they just arrived without asking. Always a plus to get great service. We built our own pizza, and aside from costing slightly more than a normal pizza place (about $25 for a large with toppings), I was impressed by it. It was very tasty. The crumbled sausage had good flavor and the veggies seemed fresh. I wouldn't be afraid to go back to this location, I just hope all the severs are as great as Kaitlin. (I hope I am spelling her name correctly).

Have been a few more times since last review. The beer selection is still phenomenal. The Spinach salad with vinagrette, is amazing. AMAZING! and the large one is big enough to share. The pizzas are all very good, the kids love them as well as the pretzel knots. I have also tried the chicken calzone, and it is my favorite dish there. Mellow has definitely made a turn for the better.

This was our first time at this location. We walked in and it was much nicer than we thought. Very chic looking. Overall the decor was very nice and laid back. We placed our order. My wife got a gluten free with a lot of veggies. I got the classic white which is pretty much the gourmet white without the veggies. Jen was our waitress and she kept up with us pretty good. Food was out in maybe 15 minutes. Nice and hot and tasted great. She kept up with our drinks pretty good. I drink a lot so to keep up with me is pretty good. Overall it was great. Football and pizza couldn't ask for more.

Overall the food is good. The house calzone is my favorite. There's always a wait. Ordered take out..it took an hour before I received my food. When I mentioned my long wait time the manager on duty was accommodating.

The staff is friendly. My husband enjoyed the conversation with bartender, very knowledgeable. Never had a bad meal.... Well except for today. I ordered 'lil Greek Salad with grilled chicken. I was surprised when I saw brown, wilted lettuce in my bowl. This was not typical to the awesome food they normally served. The waitress was quickly at my table and apologized (high points for that) as she took it away. Shortly after that the manager came by (double points for that) to talk with us. The remaining salad supply was quickly tossed out. Offer new food but I declined. Why still the Four Stars, 1. Food and service always good. 2. Being in the customer service industry for 31 years, I realize we will make mistakes, sometimes they are due to inefficiencies, system errors, or yes, even, human errors. It is at those times when your Service Recovery is important for the long term success of a business. We have a brief window of opportunity to make or break all chances for satisfactory resolution and, ultimately, loyalty of your customers. One would hope that a botched order would get high-level attention. And that happened, the manager quickly came by to discuss, never blew it off. As a customer, I want to be heard. If there is a problem, I want to be acknowledged and know that someone cares to make it right. I want to feel as though I matter. Well done, and I will be back!

Best pizza around! It's definitely not traditional pizza. So some may not like it. The Holy Shiitake Pie is s must try for mushroom lovers! I've never had an item here I didn't like.

Super busy, but we were able to sneak in a the bar. They offer the full menu there and the bartenders were very friendly. They pizzas are fabulous with lots of great variety. Try the Thai:) Also, they offer GF pizza crust which means I can have pizza with my friends.

If the service was not so slow it would be a 5. We love the food and come here often. We choose to come during "off" hours to avoid crowds but we still end up waiting a long time for food. That said, love the menu some of my favorites are the mushroom soup, Greek salad, portobello club and stacked portobello. Pizza is yummy even the gluten free version. Just hate taking 2 1/2 hours to eat lunch because of waiting. At least they play cool music and have TVs

TOTAL DISAPPOINTMENT! The ambiance is great, very clean and nice decor. The food was over priced for the what we received. We ordered the bruschetta for our appetizer which was kindly tasty, meaning The ratio of tomatoes and feta to the sliced baguette was really a joke! We ordered a medium pizza, which has half " Holy Shitaki Pie" and half "Red Skin Potato Pie." The entire pizza was soaked in oil, that they use as their base instead of red sauce. When we would pick up a slice we could not even get it to our plates without the oil dropping off, we had to eat our pizza with a fork. The child's meal was a decent proportion but wasn't up to par at all. So we ordered dessert to try and redeem the oily pizza. We ordered the "chocolate chip bourbon pecan pie". The price of the pie we expected a larger piece. The piece was so small that it took 5 bites between the three of us to finish it. We really wanted to like this place, but 43 dollars for a medium pizza, and sparingly appetizer and a little piece of pie will not make us go back!

Very disappointed the 2nd wk we went back to eat to get a gluten-free pizza. Knowing we had to pay for a med pizza that would be about 10-12 in. We had to explain to 3 different people why we was sending back the burn't pizza. They finally made a new pizza but it was an 8 in. We was told by the manager that they have a new dough & the pizza will be about 10 in. He said that next time we would have to order a pizza cooked less time. I'v never heard of having to ask for less cooking time on a pizza. We ended up paying for a med. pizza. That was only 8 in. & the pizza wasn't that good. We was there almost 2 hrs. between waiting time & them trying to get our order right. Note: We only order pizza Very disappointed

First off, expect to wait, sometimes a really long time! I like the variety of pizzas and toppings they offer. I have been a couple of times now and I do feel they are over priced but with that said, I would also come back. Their Caesar dressing is home made and very good!! We ordered the olive bread as a starter and it was tasty but way over priced. It is chopped green and black olives on a baguette coved in shredded cheese for almost $8. For that price I can make the same thing at home. We shared the basil pesto pizza and it was also tasty and we enjoyed it but I felt it needed something flavor wise and ended up preferring it cold. I would go back and will continue to try all the different types of pizza offered.

You get what you pay for...and this place is much more. Scott, our server, was great. Besides having a great infectious laugh, he was knowledgeable about the details - I actually thought he was a manager. His demeanor was very telling. It says a lot about company morale and the type of vibe you would expect from such a place. So libations get me blabbering... Just order The Boot (but add prosciutto). Tie dyed cheesecake is a trip.

Great food! Depending on time of day they can be really busy! They have a good loyalty program with coupons - sign up online. At times their staff is not always the absolute friendliest and prices are higher than your average pizza joint but their flavor combos are ta die for! Got to love the vibe too!!!!

Very good pizza, a bit pricey, but considering the quality ingredients and taste, I think it's worth it. The decor is funky but toned down as compared to other MM locations I have visited. I dined late (10 pm) on a Monday and the crowd had thinned out, plenty of open tables and no waiting. Service was good. This was my second visit to the Summerville location and both experiences were positive. My opinion, it's the best pizza around.

I visited the Mellow Mushroom in Summerville SC a week ago and I must admit that I enjoyed my visit. My server went out of her way to make sure that I had everything that I needed. She recommended beers that she thought might compliment my pizza and allowed me to sample certain beers to ensure that I would be happy with my selection. She was attentive without being annoying. Once I ordered something she checked back with me to ensure that I liked it. She was flexible in allowing me to substitute different toppings which allowed me to personalize my pizza. She accidently billed my friends and I for a large pizza when we actually ordered a medium, she quickly corrected this error and apologized promptly. I wish that I could remember her name because she did a great job. (petite blonde) The pizza was good, it took a while to come out however I also took a while to decide what I wanted and to place my order. I ordered the Thai Dye Pizza and my friends tried the Mighty Meats, the slices were large and the flavors were great. I didn't feel the chicken on my Thai Dye Pizza was seasoned/flavored with the curry flavor that the menu described and was a little bland to me, my crust was a little over cooked but it wasn't a big deal. The interior seems a bit small compared to the Avondale location but it was decorated in a playful and fun manner. Overall I was pleased and will return.

Nothing but good things to report. Sat outside and was seated within 20 minutes, which was awesome. Granted, it was a Monday night (which btw is 20% off military on Mondays) but still not a bad wait for a crowded restaurant. I ate the mushroom soup, which was rich and creamy and the pineapple, pesto, bacon and ham pizza which was pretty tasty. Warning: a small is more like a medium, and medium more like a large! The drink/ beer list is impressive. Creative mixed drinks and good choices for local and craft beers. Be sure to ask about their beer club. I'm excited to come back again soon!

Really good food. Atmosphere was great. Chairs made my whole party's back hurt (we are all in our 20's) so I'd ask for the booth . our server was really terrible. First time I've had a bad experience at this chain. She was barely there was very short with us when she was at our table and took a plate away from our friend when she was mid bite.

With Famularis right down the road, I can't give this joint more than two stars. Yeah the hippie themed wall art is cool and all, but the service is slow and food mediocre at best. I can sit at home naked strumming kumbaya with a Digiorno and the national geographic channel and get a much better experience. But to each his own.

I have been to this restaurant 5 times for eating in and one time for carry out. The service was very good. The food was great. The wait time was not bad. Haven't found a place that makes calzones as good as this place. Keep up the good work!

Overall the food is good. The house calzone is my favorite. There's always a wait. Ordered take out..it took an hour before I received my food. When I mentioned my long wait time the manager on duty was accommodating.

Super busy, but we were able to sneak in a the bar. They offer the full menu there and the bartenders were very friendly. They pizzas are fabulous with lots of great variety. Try the Thai:) Also, they offer GF pizza crust which means I can have pizza with my friends.

Delicious! Eating here made me feel like I wasn't in South Carolina anymore like I was in some mystical forest with the smells of heaven lol!

I have been to this restaurant 5 times for eating in and one time for carry out. The service was very good. The food was great. The wait time was not bad. Haven't found a place that makes calzones as good as this place. Keep up the good work!

(4)

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

This is a great restaurant! There's usually a wait, and it is pricey but the quality and the service are top knotch

(4)Effie A.
(4)Nicole M.
Love this place. The food is always great and delivered to us in a timely manner. I always chose to sit at the bar as there is less of a wait time and drinks are just easier that way. My favorite thing on the menu are the meatballs, they're amazing! Even though they're an appetizer, it's enough food for a full meal.
(5)Scott B.
Try a beer cheese base on a mighty meaty or a spinach artichoke dip base on a mellowterranean.... Be sure to sit at the bar (if you can) and have one of their delectable craft beers. The staff is great, the food is wonderful, and the beer is a good enough reason to go by itself.
(5)Bill S.
(5)Dariel S.
I thought the food was excellent, pizza is different but good and I was pretty impressed with the beer menu. Service however definitely lacked. Servers were slow, we had dirty plates brought out twice on separate occasions and we waited over 10 minutes for the new plates so little things like that but not a bad experience.
(4)Maddie M.

Delicious! Eating here made me feel like I wasn't in South Carolina anymore like I was in some mystical forest with the smells of heaven lol!

Food: 5 stars! Holy Shiitake Pie is heaven. Service: 2 stars. This location in particular seems to have quite a few kinks to work out.
(4)TJ L.

(1)Rick S.
(3)Michelle B.
(5)Jen P.
(3)Sally M.
(4)Valerie T.
Overall the food is good. The house calzone is my favorite. There's always a wait. Ordered take out..it took an hour before I received my food. When I mentioned my long wait time the manager on duty was accommodating.
(3)Hana M.

(4)Kristie F.
(4)Rheo D.

My husband and I recently moved to the area and we've been here twice already! This place is awesome and has such a neat atmosphere inside!! We loved the calzones :D

Food: 5 stars! Holy Shiitake Pie is heaven. Service: 2 stars. This location in particular seems to have quite a few kinks to work out.

(5)Erin T.
(4)Harold D.
I have been to this restaurant 5 times for eating in and one time for carry out. The service was very good. The food was great. The wait time was not bad. Haven't found a place that makes calzones as good as this place. Keep up the good work!
(5)Greg E.
(4)Dan D.
(5)Zohra B.

(5)Valerie T.
Overall the food is good. The house calzone is my favorite. There's always a wait. Ordered take out..it took an hour before I received my food. When I mentioned my long wait time the manager on duty was accommodating.
(3)Tommy D.

(4)Kristie F.
(4)Rheo D.
(3)Jen P.
(3)K C.
(4)Randall B.
Best pizza around! It's definitely not traditional pizza. So some may not like it. The Holy Shiitake Pie is s must try for mushroom lovers! I've never had an item here I didn't like.
(5)Amanda R.
This place is always full of fun quirky waiters. Good service, good food. We like to go during lunch when it isn't too busy.
(5)Abby L.
Super busy, but we were able to sneak in a the bar. They offer the full menu there and the bartenders were very friendly. They pizzas are fabulous with lots of great variety. Try the Thai:) Also, they offer GF pizza crust which means I can have pizza with my friends.
(4)Jen H.
(4)Danan F.

(1)Glenna J.

(5)Ashley H.
Great food! Depending on time of day they can be really busy! They have a good loyalty program with coupons - sign up online. At times their staff is not always the absolute friendliest and prices are higher than your average pizza joint but their flavor combos are ta die for! Got to love the vibe too!!!!
(4)Alan D.
(5)Erica B.
I love this place. The staff is really friendly! It has such a cool vibe, they don't short you on the alcohol in your mixed drinks and the pizza is yummy!
(5)Jason K.
Very nice meal. Rebekah was fantastic. Had kids with us and she really worked to help get good options for everyone. She recommended the beer cheese and it did nit disappoint. We r from Atlanta and come to Summerville every year ( Brosnan). Highly recommend this branch
(5)Amanda A.
My husband and I recently moved to the area and we've been here twice already! This place is awesome and has such a neat atmosphere inside!! We loved the calzones :D
(5)Wendy C.

(4)Amber H.
Great food and pretty good service. Pretty accommodating for a bunch of moms and babies!
(4)Katie R.
(4)Marjorie S.
(5)Nancy H.
Atmosphere is great but can't comment on the food yet...I've been waiting an hour since placing my order and it's still not here yet. They might have some new-opening kinks to work out...
(3)Daniel B.
(4)Philip B.
Good crust on the pizza. We also had good service.
(4)Joe S.
(5)Thomas P.
This is a great restaurant! There's usually a wait, and it is pricey but the quality and the service are top knotch
(5)Charles A.
(1)JP M.
The service is ok..... But the food is totally worth it! And the bar service is excellent! Thanks Brad for serving us!
(5)Chuck P.
(1)Michael C.
(2)Lorraine C.
(3)Rachel W.

My husband and I sat on the patio with the heaters on and a cold beer! The pizza was delicious and the service was fantastic! Perfect late afternoon lunch!

(5)Greg E.

(4)Valerie T.
Overall the food is good. The house calzone is my favorite. There's always a wait. Ordered take out..it took an hour before I received my food. When I mentioned my long wait time the manager on duty was accommodating.

(3)Michelle B.
(5)Jen P.
(3)Randall B.
(4)K C.

(4)Kristie F.
(4)Rheo D.

Great food and pretty good service. Pretty accommodating for a bunch of moms and babies!

(4)Danan F.

(1)Glenna J.

(4)Alan D.

Good crust on the pizza. We also had good service.

This is a great restaurant! There's usually a wait, and it is pricey but the quality and the service are top knotch

Delicious! Eating here made me feel like I wasn't in South Carolina anymore like I was in some mystical forest with the smells of heaven lol!
(5)Regina C.

This place is pretty rad. Food is awesome too!

Food: 5 stars! Holy Shiitake Pie is heaven. Service: 2 stars. This location in particular seems to have quite a few kinks to work out.
(4)Harold D.
I have been to this restaurant 5 times for eating in and one time for carry out. The service was very good. The food was great. The wait time was not bad. Haven't found a place that makes calzones as good as this place. Keep up the good work!

(5)Greg E.
(4)Erin T.

(5)Kenny R.

(4)Bill S.

(1)Marietta H.

My husband and I sat on the patio with the heaters on and a cold beer! The pizza was delicious and the service was fantastic! Perfect late afternoon lunch!
(4)Christine H.
(3)Deanna A.
