Loved it! Great service, great food. It's a tiny place so it was crowded but it's really cute inside. Recommend the blueberry pancakes!

So happy we tried this diner when we were in town for a wedding! Good food, service, and prices. We had one of the specials - 2 pancakes, scrambled eggs, bacon, and coffee. All tasty! The eggs were just right. Pretty small restaurant but I liked the cozy feel. We love a good diner w/breakfast staples (vs a fancy brunch). There are some tables and some seats at the counter. We didn't have to wait for a table for 2 but they stayed busy the whole time we were there (on a Friday morning). Probably not good for large groups, but great for parties of 2-4 people.

This place has been around for a while, and once you eat there you will see why. Their food is wonderful and traditional. It's the best place to go for breakfast when you're just not wanting to cook. Pancakes are delicious and the coffee is wonderful. I love the diner feel of the whole place. The staff is also very warm and welcoming. I've never had a bad experience there.

First off it was astonishing to me that the name was The Skillet Restaurant yet they did not have a skillet on their menu. That is the entire reason I went hear instead of somewhere else. The food was decent but pricey when I had to order things individually to make a skillet myself because that's what I really had a taste for. The mushrooms on the Hashbrown Supreme were not fresh so that takes some of the flavor away for me. The waitress wasn't friendly but not rude at the same time she was just there to take my order and ask if I needed water one time. Nothing special but the food wasn't too bad just extremely disappointed in the misleading name and having no skillets on the menu so having to spend $12.40 to make my own.

Great place to go to for breakfast. Becomes very crowded so be prepared to wait for a table depending on what time you go. Great service and food, very nice associates. I'll be returning here if I'm ever back in the Spartanburg area. The restaurant is extremely small, but it's ok and tolerable. Would be nice if they expanded lol.

More of a locals type of place. No hair nets or gloves worn during food prep. Food was pretty good nothing special. Two adults and a child at for 18$ and some change. Staff isn't exactly professional but nice enough.

Good cheap diner food. I just had breakfast here and it was quick simple and cheap. Don't expect fancy but much better than a chain restaurant.

Everytime we come to Spartanburg we do not miss the excellent breakfast. The blue berry pancakes are full of blue berries! The eggs and bacon are done right. The coffee included is a bonus. It is crowded but they serve quickly.

The Skillet is a great little coffee house, brimming with locals, always a good recommendation. The service was quick, the food was excellent and the coffee refills plentiful. Worth a minor route change if you're travelling through SC and looking for a good breakfast.

My favorite place for breakfast. Good food at a great price...this is better than the over-rated farmers table.

There's nothing entirely unique on the menu, but they do the classic to a T. The pancakes were perfect and the breakfast special #1 was great as well. Definitely going to be returning here a bit more frequently now!

How is it that I am the first one to review this landmark?! It's been a mainstay in Spartanburg for decades! The food is good. The staff is very friendly. The prices are quite reasonable. What else do you want from a breakfast and lunch joint?! See you there!!
