The pizza was typical Mellow Mushroom quality, it was good. The atmosphere good , the service however was subpar. The waitress seemed to give attention toward the end when she brought the check , obviously looking for the almighty tip..

The best option for "chain" pizza in Spartanburg. Pizzas are made fresh and are baked to order. They also have some really nice choices for sandwiches and salads. An amazing beer selection makes this one of the better places to visit when you are just hanging out with friends.

This location is a hit or miss. We are vegan and there are a handful of options for us (pizza, sandwiches) but half the time, they screw up our order. I had to send a sandwich back 3 times on one visit. Half the time we order their Kosmic Kharma pizza, they randomly leave the tofu off. When the food is right, it's fantastic, but I find it a bit over priced due to the sub par service we usually get.

Had the worst lunch ever at this location. Service was ok, food was not worth $50, but the cleanliness of the restaurant was the biggest turn off.We had a booth next to the open kitchen. The floor was filthy. After watching the man with the bushy beard, long hair and filthy ball cap and t shirt make my salad, i could not eat it. Pizza was greasy, and my soup was thicker than mud and tasted like it was scraped off the bottom of the pot. We will not go back. Worst $50 ever spent.

The service here might be subpar on a normal night... But when they have a social daily deal, avoid it at all costs! Our visit was over 2.5 hours. We waited nearly 40 minutes after getting our salads for our simple cheese pizza to arrive at our table. Plus to boot the pizza wasn't even cut! So I guess overall, this place doesn't cut it!

The pizza is 4 star (approaching 5 - the quality of the ingredients is right on) There is an open kitchen seems well run and clean. The bar side is just okay. Overall not quite a 4 star experience (probably by design) but dont miss it if you want excellent pizza

If you want some good pizza, then stop here. They have all your favorites here and they also have some one of a kind pizzas here too. I like trying the specialty pizzas, since you can buy a pepperoni pizza anywhere. They also have a variety of beers to choose from and in fact, they have a beer club you can join. But back to the pizza, I've ordered the Kung Po pizza and really like it. We've also tried the Capri as an appetizer, which is fresh mozzarella with salad greens. It's really good, especially the balsamic glaze that they use on it. The price may be more than your normal pizza place but remember, this is not your normal pizza place. It's better!

I love this place, tween the really delicious and different types of pizza and the hippy decor its great. i could eat there every other day. The prices are good. We were there at Halloween and they had Halloween themed pizza's was so imaginative, creative and DELICIOUS.

Awesome place with great atmosphere and very friendly staff! Food is amazing I love the mighty meaty pizza and Greek salad! The pretzels are delicious too! Then there is the bar! They have a huge selection of bottled and draft beers from around the world! Try the recently new Veev pitchers!

I kept going here because the pizza is actually good. But lately, the service and the quality of the food has dropped dramatically. I can understand when a restaurant is busy and the wait staff is about to rip everyones heads off that service can take longer than normal. But last night, the restaurant was not packed. It took 10 minutes for our waitress to say hello and another 10 minutes after that for our beer to be brought to the table. After our beer was finally brought, we placed our order and waited another 30 minutes before the pizza was delivered. I've ordered takeout from here before and picked it up 15 minutes later. Plus, the floor was noticeably dirty and left unswept after the large party next to us left. If I'm going to spend $40 on a meal, I had better receive a better experience than I have at the 'Shroom lately. It's not worth it any more and the sanitary conditions make me question the last health inspection.

Really really slow. This was my first visit so I am told the wait is par the course for all Mellow Mushrooms. The pizza very good. My coworkers and I ordered the mighty meaty and the philosopher's pie. It was a good pizza with adequate toppings. The service was ok. I will eat here again when I have no plans immediately after.

Food is wonderful, the wait is atrocious! Used to be a huge fan but losing faith in this kitchen staff. 90 min wait for 1 pizza. The kids were so done that we asked for a box. Very unfortunate. Might call ahead next time.

Don't waste your money. Worst pizza I have ever had super greasy and over priced. Service was literally the worst I have had in my life. I will not be returning to mellow mushroom ever again. If I was about to starve to death I would rather die than eat their food.

They have a very large beer selection. It's nice to be able to go somewhere with beers I've never tried or heard of. Everyone was very nice and polite. The bathrooms were pretty clean. The food was decent. My only complaint is how slow the service was. I waited almost two hours for a meatball sub and a small pizza. I wouldn't recommend coming here if you're in a hurry.

While searching Yelp for a place to eat, I didn't know that Mellow Mushroom was in town and a few miles away from my hotel. I have been to several MM's across the country and they just opened one in my town. I arrived about 9pm and it was not crowded at all. There wasn't a hostess in place and I had to ask someone wrapping silverware were should I sit. Once seated, I asked for a recommendation for a local crafted beer and was pleased with the selection. I placed my food order and asked for a change to the pie. The pizza was welled cooked and was served as requested. I enjoyed my meal and visit to this MM.

I love Mellow Mushroom, but this location is by far the worst I have been to. The food is wonderful but service is slower than a snail's pace. I could understand one time maybe but it has happened twice. The first time, we waited an hour and forty five minutes for our food. Then today at lunch when they were not busy at all, it was more than an hour before the food came out (a calzone and a sub). If you have anywhere to go within 3 or so hours of getting to the restaurant, forget it and go elsewhere.

Wow. Unbelievably slow, never waited so long for food at any restaurant. Only saw the waitress twice - when we got the food, and when we got the check. They somehow forgot 3 ingredients of the pizza which was on the menu, not like it was a complicated make your own pizza...

We went with a $50 Groupon, thinking that should be plenty for pizza. The offer was for two large Specialty Pizzas. But when the bill arrived, WOW! It was actually $40 over the Groupon! I would have never, and will never again, spend $100 on pizza. The food was no better than average and the service was slow. I really don't know how this place stays in business.

Actually the food was terrific but we waited over an hour to get our order. If we didn't have young children with us we would have enjoyed the conversation. The manager did give us ten bucks off our order but I'm not sure that was worth the wait.

Am newly gluten free (not by choice, lol), so I was intrigued by their GF dough, but the catch is it only comes in the medium size, which is ~$20. Didn't want to have that much for lunch. I ended up with the spinach salad, which was delicious and gluten free. Two thumbs up for our waitress who was very patient with me as I was asking her what was gluten free or not. Will be back and will try the GF dough eventually.

Great Food. Great Selection...plenty of vegetarian options. Staff is attentive, subs are tasty and the pizza is just amazing. Delivery is limited area--but thankfully we're within their range. I thought the 'hippie' atmosphere was a bit offputting at first...but it's grown on me. Always good music playing (not too loud or obnoxious) and the staff is always in good spirits and able to recommend all kinds of wonderful things to try. I wish the pizza was a little less pricey...but totally worth it!

Gotta love mellow mushroom!! We have been to one close to our house (in Brandon, FL) many times and thought we would give this one a try. It took a min of us waiting inside until we got sat, but it was lunch time so not a big deal. Our servers promptly greeted us (one was in training) and took our order. It does take some time to get your pizza because it is all made from scratch so just a though for those who haven't been here. We ordered the Kosmic Kara and the House. Both were amazing and the Kosmic Karma by far is one of my favorite pizzas that they make! If you don't want pizza their calzones are massive and taste delicious as we'll!

Great food - SLOW service. I came in early for a carry-out and ordered an Arnold-Palmer. Coincidentally I texted when I sat down, so I knew the time I sat at the bar, ready to be served. SEVEN (7) minutes later I was acknowledged, and a little over 3 more minutes I finally was asked what I wanted. That may not sound like a big deal until you see that there are 4 people at the bar and less tables occupied in the whole place. It's not even 5 pm. The place is not busy. Test yourself. Have someone pacing back and forth in front of you, looking at you at nearly every pass for 7 minutes. It's excruciating. For a chain, there are standards. I'm pretty confident that this is not up to the standard. As for the food, come on, it's eye rolling goodness! Too bad the service dampers the food. I'd say it's an easy fix, but having some direct experience in the casual eatery industry I can tell you it's a staffing issue and it's only going to get worse for the consumer. Very rare to find good help; especially staff that cares about service, timeliness, and who will take initiative.

Worst. Mellow. Mushroom. Ever. I did a "create your own pizza" deal all I wanted was olive oil base, fresh mozzarella, fresh basil, tomatoes, and andouille sausage... A pizza margherita with sausage, not exactly breaking new ground here. It comes to me 5 minutes after my wife gets her's with no sausage, no basil, and arguably no mozzarella although they did point at a yellow spot and say here it is. I sent it back to be fixed and it returned with basil sprinkled on top and some pan seared andouille. It was cold at this point and all the waitress did was apologize that everyone was new.

We stood at the front for a decent amount of time till someone greeted us and sat us at our table. The pizza has always been good. We have ordered the Cosmic Karma and the BBQ pizza. It does take some time to come out because they cook it fresh so set aside some time to have a few beverages while you await your masterpiece.

The food is always good here and you can make any of the pizzas vegetarian and replace the meat with avocado, which is fantastic. I've never had a bad meal, but my most recent was the Greek salad and the mellowterranian pizza with avocado instead of chicken. It's very tasty and the crust is dusted with parmesan cheese. Yum. Now the reason for the lower rating is the slow/lacking customer service. Definitely don't go if you're starving, because you will most likely wait awhile for your food. I called in an order one time, was told half an hour and when i got there 30 minutes later, i still waited another 20 minutes. Also, some cushions would be nice on the outside chairs. Even with this, i keep going back because the food is that good.

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.
