Chinese Cuisine
The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.
Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.
There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.

Fast, good Chinese take out. Great spring rolls, good prices and easy location on Fairview. Same owners for quite some time and that says a lot about the place. Not a first date place but definitely good Chinese.

I've been spoiled by a few other places, but the food here is still good. Great for convenience if you're local, but you probably won't go out of your way to come here. Folks are friendly, and service is always good.

The best egg rolls I've had in a long time. Well seasoned chicken. Most Chinese restaurants rely on people adding soy sauce, my meal didn't need it. Well cooked & flavorful. I was pleasantly surprised. I highly recommend Mei Mei's.

We have tried a few different Chinese places around town, and as far as yucky chinese (aka fast chinese) this place is pretty good. The food was hot and really tasty. I had Orange Peel Chicken. It was listed as spicy and I'm a spicy food wimp, but it was sooo good, and it definitely had a great kick to it. Their chicken fried rice was so tasty, egg rolls were good and the sweet biscuits are delicious. (Who can resist carbs rolled in sugar?)

Not the best. The hot and sour soup was good as well as the egg rolls. But the two main dishes we ordered were flavorless and the sause was watered down.

Mei Mei House This is the 3rd Chinese restaurant we have tried here in S.C. since we moved from the Chicagoland area..We ordered take away so I can't give you an evaluation on the service inside the restaurant but, I can say first & foremost they got the order correct & I even had an item substituted for another so kudos..Nothing worse than the wrong stuff on the order....Next what make's one Chinese place better than others ?... Well Kung Pow chicken is pretty much Kung Pow chicken wherever you go ! But the key is two things "Fresh" ingredients & the Egg Rolls... Yep... Egg Rolls will make or break a Chinese place in a hurry...Some place make there own from scratch daily (Not as many as you'd think) but, some buy them ready made & just heat or fry them ... Now some of these are very good to down right nasty... Mei Mei's egg rolls were good not great but the best I have had since we moved from up North... Next up was the Hot & Sour soup... Now this was a treat. The broth was a much darker color than I have ever seen in a hot & sour soup, & the broth was a velvety texture thicker than others, Had a hint of what tasted like a red wine flavor, earthy tones along with nice big mushrooms and spiced perfectly . It was the best I have ever had !!! Next the main course, Kung Pow Chicken again very good..Nice amount of white meat chicken, vegetable chopped to a nice size not to big not to small. The sauce was very tasty... Although it was advertised as spicy it was on the mild side next time I will ask for ex-heat Fresh Ingredient make all the difference... Gonna give this place 4 stars... Would have gotten 5 if the egg rolls were a bit better..

My wife asked me what I wanted for my birthday dinner and I said Chinese sounded good. She chose Mei Mei House due to other review. This was by far the worst Chinese I've ever had. Bland and greasy, I'll make the drive to Woodruff Rd next time to find something edible.

Very good Chinese food... wife had Teriyaki chicken and I had shrimp and garlic. Only bummer was paying extra for white sauce.
